[7.0] "A fun match between the top gaijin in his prime in ZSJ and a vet in Tanahashi who is still capable of putting on good matches. It wasn't that long, but it didn't need to be. ***1/2 stars."
[7.0] "Very solid match. These two are like pizza in that even at their worst it's still good. Tana, as everyone knows, can't go anymore but these two always formulate a match that hides those weakness he has and still manage to put on a nice climactic finish. When you watch the guys in the show up to this match and then these two you see the chasm that exists in the low/mid level guys and the elite like these two. ***1/2"
[6.0] "[3.0*] In 2024, the best Tana showings are against Zack, and this tells you everything you need to know about him. He made a fucking Matt Riddle match excellent. One of the most reliable workers on the whole roster and a good match machine against anyone. Of course Tana was slow in some sequences but ZSJr adequated his pacing in a perfect manner to follow him."
[8.0] "Zack's style seems to be the best way to get the best out of the sadly limited current-age Tanahashi, because this ruled. The technical work both at the start and the nearfalls was really effective, Tana fighting through Zack's strikes was awesome, and Zack's counters to things like the High Fly Flow were smooth as butter. Tana looked like he hadn't lost a step even though he clearly has in a physical sense, so a match that is structured to show off that he still has the mind for it was great to see. ****"
[7.0] "ZSJ is a really good opponent for Tanahashi at this stage of his career. A well grounded match with some really exciting grappling exchanges particularly towards the finish. Hides the flaws of aging Tanahashi very well."
[8.0] "Tanahashi proved that he can still wrestle good matches with a proper dance partner. It's a simplified Sabre formula and it's not always 100% smooth but they both managed to make the match interesting for the whole run time. MOTN so far in my opinion. ****"
[6.0] "The first match that goes above average territory on the card up to this point. My main issue is that it felt like it ended just as it was starting to get going. Should have switched the match lengths for this and the LIJ vs. BC tag."
[7.0] "I think these two are incapable of having a bad match. Zack is the perfect executor of the only style Tanahashi can convincingly do at this point, and these are always worth watching on account of it. I loved Veda and Ian's commentary during Tana's entrance, they really made him feel like a big deal."
[8.0] "Sabre Jr is phenomenal. Both these guys are. I love watching there matches there was fantastic mat technician wrestling in this match. Up to this point of the show definitely the match of the night. 4 stars"
[7.0] "Not going to make any "Best Matches" lists for either of these extremely talented wrestlers, but it was still a very solid showing. Sabre truly is the best man to pull quality matches out of Tanahashi these days; he clearly had to adjust to Tanahashi's slower pace, but he managed to do so while still keeping the match lively and fun."
[7.0] "Best Tanahashi match in a while, still nothing great as we know this isn't the Tana of old and these two have had much better matches together before, but Zack managed to get the best out of him. Zack did a good leg-work and Tanahashi is still Tanahashi, so he's still good enough to make a few comebacks, sell and play the role of the babyface in peril, so it was convincing. Zack doing a Sling Blade wasn't in my bingo card of the year."
