| 1 | 30.11.2025 | sombrizo | 9.0 | An outstanding match and one of the most memorable stories NXT told in 2017. This was excellent on every level -- fun, dynamic, creative, and packed with character work. Velveteen Dream delivers a breakout performance, mixing athleticism with psychological brilliance as he desperately tries to force Black to "say his name." Black, meanwhile, counters with calm precision, using his striking to dictate the pace while still feeding Dream's charisma and offense in all the right moments. The chemistry is electric, the pacing never drags, and every sequence feels intentional. The match blends theatricality with crisp in-ring action, making it both entertaining and legitimately compelling. And the finish -- Black finally acknowledging Dream after putting him down -- is the perfect payoff to the story they were telling. A near-perfect clash of personalities and styles, full of energy, creativity, and drama. |

A fantastic job from the start, with a more technical approach, something you wouldn't expect for this story, but surprisingly awesome! They progress the match with an incredible ability to tell their story and you just get more impressed every time they move, it was so simple but so effective. To this day, I still think "Enjoy infamy, Velveteen Dream" is one of the best post-match moments I ever seen, just purely fantastic stuff made by these two. |

| 10 | 05.09.2025 | 00fishman | 8.0 | Amazing match with such outstanding psychology to it. The story is basically Dream trying to get Black to say his name, and acknowledge the Dream, (which happens at the end, so in a way, both got what they wanted in the match) That final line from Black is such a banger, and little did we know, he was right, just not in the way his character meant it. Such a simple story sprouted into this beautiful chaos of a match; it works so well for something that you'd never think would. |

Great start in the beggining with Black showing superiority in the catch wrestling while Dream surprisingly showed himself better in strikes, making the entire match being for just one reason: he want Black to say his name. You can even think this was a bit childish for a feud, but when you see the Velveteen Dream's persona as a cocky and arrogant heel who see himself above everyone, a person just refusing to say his name must be a great reason to be angry. Great action, sequences and counters and movements, and we got a great wrestling match with just FOURTEEN minutes! Enjoy infamy, Velveteen Dream (how poorly this phrase aged lmao). |

I know its weird to say it but it was really a story-driven match and the post match always gives me goosebumps. |

During submissions we are entitled to Say my name! . At one point you can even hear him say to the referee Ask him my name! . It was good and fun at times. (4*1/4) |

The second half being fast paced with tons of action and Aleister got the win but The Dream also won because Black said his name after the match. |
