[8.0] "A first ever match-up here between a very intriguing pairing on paper. It's a 20-minute time limit draw, which makes sense since Aries ain't gonna lose just before he is about to beat Joe for the World Title, and Low Ki is Low Ki. It's a very good match. Ki is just great here with his work on top & combining that with his arrogant heel attitude. Aries from underneath is natural given the pairing, and he rocks the role well. It is not the epic I could see these two having, but it's a very good, competitive match between two terrific wrestlers."
[7.0] "Pretty strong match, but one that I thought could have been a bit better than it was. I really enjoyed the aggressive grappling in the opening section of the match, and Low Ki eventually taking over with his hard hitting strikes and effectively targeting Aries' midsection was also really good. I was pretty close to going higher with my rating, but Aries' selling really bugged me. It wasn't too bad since Ki at least kept countering his moves, but his insistence on doing spots that would damage his injured ribs is just a pet peeve of mine. Couple that with the lack of a finish (made sense given the context, but still a bit deflating) and it felt like a match that had the potential to be great, but ultimately fell short of its potential. They're definitely capable of better, but for a taste of what both men bring to the table I still thought there was a lot to like here."
[7.0] "Neither guy wanted to go all-out here, but they still produced a pretty good match. 20-minutes already isn't very long as far as 'big' singles matches go, but they still made this feel like a sprint. They had nice aggressive and realistic grappling exchanges and strike trades all match long, and it was fun seeing how much more impactful and creative their exchanges and spots would become as the match went on. They did a great job of mixing their styles together, and their sudden counters were especially creative and all extremely well timed. It's a shame that Aries couldn't have gone over in order to look properly strong in build-up to his title challenge with Joe, but at least he looked strong and valiant despite not getting the outright victory, since he was the one close to pinning Low KI before time ran out, plus he was the one willing to go another 5 minutes whereas Low Ki wasn't. ***1/4"
[10.0] "I thought this was superb, both guys may be well known dopes in 2021 but god they were fun to watch. Heated, hard hitting, gritty and just a damn cool match."
[6.0] "A decently alright match. Heel Low Ki was hit or miss, and his performances didn't always live up to his talent. The match also felt much longer than it actually was. I'll just chock it up to neither guy having chemistry with each other."
