I liked it when Regal had Benoit in like a version of a single leg boston crab and Benoit began wrenching Regals arm whilst still in the submission. The exploder on the ground was great too. The finish I thought kind of came out of nowhere and I would have liked to have seen this match go longer. Still good stuff though. |
| 2 | 04.07.2025 | uselessdollthing | 5.0 | I think Regal works on the leg of Benoit for too long and it kind of sucks some of the air out of this match, but everything up to that point was pretty good, Benoit was going to town on Regal. Even after the long leg work on Benoit, the match is decent but the ending is disappointingly sudden, even though it does make sense. I think if that leg work was shorter, I would have liked this match more, but its still solid. |

But Velocity would turn out some gems and this was one of them. Chris Benoit and William Regal had another very good match on Velocity a few months before. This time, Benoit's United States Championship was on the line. This match had some nice intensity and great mat wrestling. Definitely worth a look. ***1/2 |
| 4 | 27.03.2021 | Mudshow Idol | 7.0 | Yet another strong match between these two, although I wouldn't say it was one of their finest. The intensity wasn't quite as high, and the mat wrestling was a bit more basic than their best work, but it was of course still done at a high level. The Exploder Suplex on the outside was the highlight for me. |
