[4.0] "Neither Cody nor DiBiasi are good workers at this point. Just a mediocre match that you would see on regular TV and the ending roll up makes DiBiasi look very weak here. I think he is supposed to be a babyface here, but the crowd didn't care one bit."
[5.0] "This match was fluid and had glimpses of being very good, but it never kicked it into higher gear. Cody's heel work is on point here, but Ted isn't exactly inspiring as a babyface. It makes a lot of the dynamic rest on Cody. Considering this angle was supposed to be Ted's revenge after being mistreated by him, you'd think he'd be more over, or this would be hotter, but it didn't seem like the people in the building cared about him all that much, and that weighed the match down. Definitely some good sequences and fun offense, but it just didn't live up to the potential it might have had. I also think it ended abruptly right at a time where you'd feel like it was going to start kicking into second gear. Not bad by any means, but disappointing in a lot of ways."
[7.0] "I remember this one being good, Rhodes was a great Intercontinental Champion and DiBiase had some momentum going after playing second fiddle to his former tag team partnerduring the paperbag undashing gimmick, hell of an effort from both in a match that represents what the IC belt used t be about, two young talented wrestlers looking forward for a main event push, happened to one of them at least many years later."
[7.0] "Great match between the two, a lot of technicality despite the fact that both are not excellent in this discipline. The intensity and the action in the fight was great, the ending works very well and gives us frustration as well. Rating: ***1/4"
[7.0] "This was a good match between the two former partners. It started slow, with some technical wrestling, something unusual from the two, but that part was very good. It escalated up until the abrupt ending & the roll-up. I wanted to see 2-3 more minutes, but it was already great for what it was. It's a shame that the program between the two ended here. ***¼-***½"
[7.0] "I remember enjoying this match back then. Dibiase was essentially Cody? s henchman in the months leading up to this match. Some weeks before night of champions he turned on Cody, who at the time was a solid upper mid card heel (and was enjoying a solid ic title reign), under the ? undashing? /disfigured gimmick. Solid heel champ vs underdog babyface match."
