2610.06.2025FunRocket4.0Not an especially good match. Mike Santana is really overrated and Trick generally can't carry a poor opponent. I enjoyed the shenanigans a lot more than the actual wrestling. I don't watch TNA so I don't know why Trick broke Elias' guitar and I broke out laughing when Flop Dolla of all people randomly came in to interfere! TNA fans probably have a context to it but watched within a vacuum, it was so out of left field that I laughed out loud.

It honestly is shocking it is taking him this long and he is still green as hell. Santana is great and he trys to make this as good as it can be with what he has to work with. Oh btw trick shot is the worst finisher in wrestling.

But, as a viewer of both NXT and TNA, it made perfect sense. Feels like WWE's plan to bolster TNA now includes putting over their stories, not just the talent.

A couple of TNA guys interfere to beat up Santana, Trick wins shortly after. It is strange to see them help an outsider retain the title, even if someone they don't like is to win it back. Just a lame finish meant to advance a story on another show that most of the NXT audience doesn't watch. 6/10

I thought it would end in a no contest, but it didn't because Trick Williams got help from AJ Francis, formerly known as Top Dolla in WWE, and KC Narravo, so it seems like Trick Williams is running a stable in TNA. Mike Santana had a good showing in this match. This man has always been good and very underlooked since his AEW days. I'm glad he's in the Main Event scene for TNA and NXT at this moment he has a lot to give and this feud with him and Trick Williams in the sdumme going to be very good in my opinion as this can help Trick Williams a lot and improve and Mike Snatana can be the World Champion of TNA.
9404.06.2025Rassle Fan6.0It is what it is. A heatless first title defense on tv. It wasn't a bad match but it's nothing special. Crowd reacted nicely to Santana's performance. Grain of salt though because NXT home crowds will cheer for someone standing in the ring and farting for 20 minutes. It makes ZERO sense for TNA people to help Trick win. You can point to the feud that's happening in TNA but I think it would be better if Trick gets a clean win because there was no chance Santana was winning here anyway. It's not the 60s, 70s, or 80s, anymore where losing a match is the end of all things.
