What is this, synchronized dancing? I'd maybe tolerate it if it didn't look so sloppy with all the awkward standing around waiting for a move to be done. Nothing about this match makes me feel like the participants are even slightly concerned with winning, more like they're solely focused on the next fancy move they can do. No psychology whatsoever, just going from one big spot to the next with little in between. There are some pretty cool moments but they're mixed in there with plenty of head scratching ones. This style of wrestling simply doesn't resonate with me at all. |

20 | 08.06.2025 | ElNiniOM | 9.0 | Great tag team wrestling as promised. The sequences are fluid and aerial, but the brutality is also present throughout this rather long fight with lots of near falls, and very little boredom. In-ring quality: 3.25/4. Stakes: 1.5/2. Justification: 1/1. Place on the card: 1/1. Suspense: 1/1. Bonus/malus: none. Total: 8.75/10. Match seen on AEW Plus. |

24 | 20.05.2025 | Thenxt observer | 10.0 | ***** (10/10) You're going to get a lot of feelings when it comes to Young Bucks' standard tag-team matches. A lot of them will depend on how you feel about the legitimacy of a contest, or at least the presentation of one. Though there are cases throughout AEW where certain liberties are taken through incompetent refereeing, might we remind ourselves that the Bucks are EVPs to the very company that gave birth to the game-changing revolution that was AEW. For all we care, they could really do all the f**k they want in AE-dub and if we have a problem with it, oh well. Omega, as well. But he's more considerate towards the realism, I feel. But no matter what you feel about the Bucks being the Bucks in your joe-schmoe tag-team match, they're always going to show why very few in the world can do what Nick and Matt Jackson can do in and out and 'round the ring like double Rockstar torpedos, especially when they're paired with their in-ring soulmates in the Lucha Brothers. Think about all of the quintessential battles between both duet hermanos, and this belongs firm within that class. The Young Bucks promised to make AEW's tag-team division the world's best. It's hard to watch this match and say that (at least in 2019) they didn't deliver on their promise. |

36 | 03.04.2025 | Kaseric | 7.0 | Definitely went on a bit too long towards the end there. Real standout to me was Rey Fenix with Nick Jackson close behind. Both younger brothers showed up their big brothers. Found Matt Jackson to be the weakest part of this match, hopefully this was just an off day. |
37 | 01.04.2025 | Xennie22 | 8.0 | im not big on the bucks normally ive said that during my NJPW reviews but this was a great match went a little long had some fake looking moments. but the false finshes were great the selling from both teams was good the story of the young bucks needing to do everything to put them away even Matt having to hold Fenix up for 10 seconds with 1 arm to hit the meltzer driver. All in all this match was great and it set up for the best tag division of the late 2010s to early 2020s |

I don't hate the Young Bucks at all, far from it, but I will say I'm not quite as high on their style of match as most other people are, though I will say I do admire their creativity in creating their latest and greatest crazy high spots, of which there are a few in this match. |

57 | 16.01.2025 | jsborts | 9.0 | Incredible moves in this match, truly just spectacular move after spectacular move. everything was so impressive, no deep story here, and some of it feels a little repetitive, that and the Lucha brothers being particularly bad about tag rules means this one falls just short of a 10, but it truly is an amazing match. feels like there's almost 10 false finishes, and when that happens the actual finish needs to be so spectacular and absolute, and it fell a little short of that, so feels like they could've maximized the response by ending a couple finishes earlier. but still very very good stuff and well deserving of a 9 |
58 | 15.01.2025 | 808 XO FLAME | | The Cody Dustin match is great for what it's doing (Jim Crockett type of match) but this match is the first AEW match to capture what I personally want out of AEW. A polished version of PWG. 5 star match imo. The ladder match they have at All Out 2019 takes it up a notch a breaks the scale but this match is the foundation for what AEW is to me |
59 | 12.01.2025 | Kislozelje | 10.0 | Now this was an amazing, fun match to watch, could also be main event. And good thing compared to All In 2018 this one wasn't scraped for time and really was allowed to blosom. The finish might have been a bit weak, but not that weak that would ruin the enjoyment of the whole match |

This isn't their best match against each other but it was still one of the best tag matches I've gotten to see. Overall an extremely fun and entertaining match. |

75 | 12.11.2024 | maven lover | 5.0 | Meh, this was alright. Nothing of particular note happened, other than Lucha Bros' stereo Canadian Destroyers & Buck 1 doing that launch off the rope while throwing Rey & Penta at the same time, that stuff was pretty neat I guess. Buck 2 gets kicked in the face by Rey, only to instantaneously gain the ability to bench press Rey & then spear Penta in a single quick motion, because of course he does. Fenix leaping all over the ropes before catching Buck 1 with a Frankensteiner off the top rope is the thing of the gods, & he got really good height on the leap for that crusher. It was really the back end of this that got so boring for me, shortly after the stereo sharpshooters. Pentagon issues 3 stiff chops each to both Bucks, only for Buck 1 to instantly recover & superkick him before Buck 2 also superkicks him, because of course they do. Pentagon then instantly recovers from a superkick & Rey runs in with all four contestants proceeding to do The Clusterfuck before falling into the ring together, & you can see Buck 1 staring at Buck 2 as if to go, "That was good :)". Rey Fenix crawls to the top, spots Buck 1 & Buck 2 standing there, & directly leaps into stereo superkicks, like a fucking idiot. Buck 1 & Buck 2 begin to do choreographed dance routines for near-falls. I was really enjoying the first half much more. This is going on forever (24m! ) After taking 3 insanely powerful kicks, Buck 1 instantly recovers into a one-armed piledriver (you can't make this shit up) & Buck 2 Swanton Bombs the piledriver into the ring, & I roll my eyes so hard they're still lodged in my skull somewhere. A primo Young Bucks match in that it is devoid of psychology, masturbatory, & ultimately shallow. The Lucha Bros do a great job, but that's really about it, & the fact that the Bucks beat the vastly better Lucha Bros at AEW's inaugural PPV is as good an indication as any as to what would ultimately be to come. |

83 | 25.09.2024 | Nevermore42 | 9.0 | This was quite a change from the last match, but rewarding in it's own way. While the last match was a deep, emotional story, this one goes for all out action. Sure, there's the stuff about the Bucks having ring rust, but that's quickly forgotten. Still this is an incredibly entertaining match that sets the stage for one of the main rivalries of early AEW. |

90 | 30.08.2024 | edgyfr | 6.0 | The match start seems promising but there is not much happening here, is a rather empty match, tried to have a structure by just having spots, some cool spots, but even then some of the spots were repeated, so whats the point? The wrestling was good, no doubt, but it just felt too artificial, it wasnt a natural match, it was staged move per move, which is not my kind of wrestling |
91 | 29.08.2024 | Phoenix | 8.0 | 8.2/10: excellent talent, the lucha brothers owned the show in the first half, but let me just say, the young bucks killed it. They were a hundred percent in every part of the match. the top rope moves, the brain busters, the dives and splashes by ray fenix, were too good. No doubt both tag teams are so popular in the aew universe, it is solely because of HOW GOOD they are, in ring, and sometimes on mic. Loved it from start to finish, but some moments in between kinda stretched the heck out of everything, so yeah. |

93 | 23.08.2024 | leeyoverse | 5.0 | I'm not a hater of either team - in fact I think both teams have numerous great matches against each other. However, this match was just not it. After a very telegraphed first leg, I finally felt myself get into the action and near falls, only for them to run in circles and completely drag the last 5 minutes into feeling like 5 hours. |
