[3.0] "Mediocre match overall, but it's always good to see AJ wrestling, don't think anyone expected a good match considering AJ's opponent in this situation, but as I said, it's always good to see him step into the ring. Dominik really needs to improve his in ring skills, he still pretty green"
[4.0] "Well, that was to be expected. For weeks, Judgement Day has been regularly spanked, at least when it comes to the male members of the group, and Dirty-Dom in particular rarely makes a mark. And then at his welcome-back party, AJ Styles is only given a shallow and unchallenging win. A mood maker from the bottom shelf for me."
[6.0] "A solid match and good performances by both guys here. AJ is still the man and brings the intensity and Dom always plays his role perfectly. Good return for AJ and it will be interesting to see his run this time around considering he is probably nearing the end. Solid 3 stars."
[6.0] "The Dom Mysterio return match is an emerging tradition, and for good reason. One of the roster's few heels that can maintain their heat while respecting hierarchy and placement, he eases another legend back into things here, selflessly spotlighting Styles' remaining hits. Those hits certainly still sound good too, showing considerable burst across a restrained return to the ring. **3/4"
[6.0] "Dominik Mysterio proves that he may not be the greatest of workers, but that doesn't mean he's a bad one and that it's really easy to work a match with him. Being the first opponent for AJ in 1 on 1 competition was the right call. Both guys can deliver a fine show without going really crazy with stunts and pacing and both guys can adapt well to the needs of the other. Good win for AJ and a pretty interesting and cool post-match angle where AJ looked like a god owning Bron Breakker. I really want to see a match between those two (***)"
[6.0] "A nice serviceable match that helped AJ get all that ring rust out of his system with Dirty Dominik Mysterio. We had some nice moments and a neat comedic moment with Carlito and him getting low blowed. AJ and Bron sounds interesting. [***]"
[6.0] "Good match, didn't really have much though, expected a bit more from it, but still it was good for what we got. Although the post match attempted attack was hilarious, and the catch by AJ was clean as well."
[6.0] "This was a cool opener that knocked the ring rust off of AJ Styles, and Dom was a good opponent to do so. His work as this chickenshit villain has been amazing in terms of in-ring ethic & character work. He did the same entertaining bits to seek a lot of heat from the crowd and AJ retaliated them with style. The post-match face-off between AJ & Bron sounds magnificent for a 'Mania program revolving around the IC Title. 3 out of 5 stars!"
"AJ looked great but this barely felt like a match. I was entertained by it, but I feel silly evaluating it with the same criteria that I'd use for something more substantial."
[5.0] "This was a touch mid, can't pretend it wasn't. AJ did a lot of heavy lifting which isn't massively surprising. But I didn't care for this, didn't hate this. But booking this match was a blatant admission that they needed someone to eat a pin and it was always a hard sell before the bell even rang."
[5.0] "AJ Styles vs. Dom Mysterio was okay, with the right person winning the match. The match didn't run long, but it was enough for AJ to secure the victory. It wasn't without outside interference, as usual in the case of The Judgement Day. Carlito tried to interfere, but it didn't stop AJ from winning his first Raw match after returning from an injury a couple of weeks ago. Post-match, Bron Breakker tried to spear AJ Styles, who moved, and Dom got the full impact of the spear. AJ vs. Bron for the Intercontinental Championship on the Elimination Chamber PLE is a viable option."
[7.0] "Good way for AJ to shake off the rust. It was what I expected from AJ and Dom. Carlito interferes early and AJ counters the interference late. Liked how they did the finish. The post match exchange was done very well."
[6.0] "pretty great interesting match for aj styles first singles match in a few months. Doesn't seem like there's much left to do between judgment day and aj. Am interested if there going to try and get styles he bron all the way to mania if it it'll be some sort of multi man match. Loved how they got to the styles clash for the finish. Loved how they got to the cut off for dom with carlito coming out of no where and sweet post match segment was freaking awesome great way to start raw with this match"
[8.0] "This was a solid first match back on Monday Night RAW for AJ Styles. He looked very sharp. Dominik Mysterio was a good first opponent back for AJ Styles as he played his part very well. After AJ Styles defeated Dominik Mysterio with a Styles Clash, Bron Breakker appeared trying to spear AJ Styles but AJ Styles moved out the way for Dominik Mysterio to be speared by Bron Breakker which made him irate. If this is the WrestleMania Match for Bron Breakker sign me up because this will be an exceptional match."
[6.0] "Fun match, I think that Dominik Mysterio adds a lot to matches like this because of his heel work, the dirty tactics from Carlito generated a nice reaction, it was a proper traditional face vs heel contest, and Styles looked very good, absolutely showing that he still has plenty of fuel left in the tank. The three amigos + frog splash + 619 combo from Dom was great as always, and Styles won after a little sequence there and the Styles Clash. The referee had to adjust Dom's shoulder and the crowd kinda botched the count there, lol - {***}"
[6.0] "Well, we have AJ Styles back on the RAW schedule, now what's next? Because I found Bron's thing curious, after all, he's looking for opponents and I'm surprised he's going after AJ. Weird, really. On the other hand, it's a decent opener, but nothing more. I'll take what happened at the end."
[6.0] "An excellent match to open the show. Simple in booking and execution but perfect in its flow. The story was solid, a big win for AJ, and the post-match segment was top-notch, leaving you wanting more."
