The rudo team were solid - Togo still looks really good and pulled out a sick dropkick, and Yamada (Kagura) continues to impress me with his versatility. I'm not too high on Demus though, at least based on this showing. The only thing I remember him for was "biting" the nipple of Yamaya and leaving saliva on him which was super gross. The tecnicos got a good chance to show off, specifically the two real luchadors. Pantera Jr. is the son of renowned luchador Pantera who is well remembered in Michinoku Pro, and the crowd were happy to see him. Even though he wasn't perfect (botching the Pantera special) he looked good and is clearly very athletic, likely one to watch for the future. El Hijo Del Alebrije was similarly impressive in spite of not pulling off everything smoothly. Overall, some of the cliche lucha stuff was grating on me, but there was enough flashy moves and athletic showmanship that I thought this was worthwhile. Pantera Jr. goes over Kagura in a clear endorsement for the young luchador. (3*) |
