1024.11.2024EmoForkliftDriver6.0A decent tag match. Very solid and competently worked but just didn't have that little bit extra that made it worth revisiting in the future. YOH gets my special shoutout for this match for what he put his chest through, definitely the most memorable part of the match. Catch 22's final match with TMDK was a bit of a bar setter for me but this was match was still perfectly fine

1218.11.2024bugsy mcgraw10.0I thought this was a really intense, high paced, and very well worked match that was extremely exciting the whole way through. I didn't expect it to, but it snuck into five star status for me.

2902.11.2024exzachly7.0Another fantastic outing in this years tournament, but was able to differentiate itself enough from the previous to make it stand out. The pace was slower, but they were not conservative in the slightest with what they brought to the ring, as Akira and TJP laid in the lumps on Romero and YOH especially, whose chest looked completely busted and bloodied courtesy of a series of chops from Akira to test YOHs metal. YOH was by far the true stand out in the match which has been sorely needed since he missed Best of the Super Juniors with injury, perfectly playing off Rocky as the younger and more willing partner. Romero absolutely held his own though, bumping and flying around, going par for par with Akira in that department despite his veteran status. There was an intended communication issue between Rocky and YOH though that could prove interesting for YOHs future in CHAOS, with TJP and Akira taking advantage at nearly every stage. It took a minute for it to really get going, but following the exchange of chops between Francesco and YOH that left YOHs chest deep purple, all four guys never looked back. (***3/4)

4929.10.2024Oswuold9.0Now this was a fucking banger. Beginning was kinda slow but as they came back in the ring they developed some great crescendo and the last stretch was truly great. Also, YOH's chest turned so red that it seemed to Watch a Sasaki/Kobashi match at times. ****1/3

5129.10.2024Visual Kei9.0This is the match where I realized how good Rocky actually is. He is going in the same talk like Taichi and YOSHI-HASHI. Underrated talents. TJP..a veteran and of the best Jr.s ever. This is the match of the tournament to this day. ****1/2 Check this out. You will jump.

6428.10.2024cal90998.0These lot had a high bar set for them by the previous match, and while they didn't quite reach the heights of the previous match it was still pretty great. Romero is such a treat to see these days and always delivers. I am by far a YOH guy but he looked alright here, I think tag should just be where he stays. ****

6628.10.2024Chefi8.0I can see why this was the main event, but it didn't hold up to what we had before with TMDK and War Dogs. The match was filled with wild spots and was really fun to watch. I'm also glad to see Rocky back in New Japan. He still has the same charisma as he did before, and YOH is doing YOH things and he's really good and Akira/TJP are amazing as always.

7328.10.2024DOUKI4CHAMP7.0This took a little while to find its flow, but they found it and had some of the most memorable moments in the tournament so far. One thing I like about this tournament having shorter matches is that the second half always feels like it can end at any moment. YOH's chest being turned into hamburger meat on night 3 is an insane choice in the best way that had me pumped. I really like Catch 2/2 naturally being able to communicate effectively to land big moves easier than Roppongi as a bit of storytelling that rewards people for paying close attention. If they were able to cut down on some of the less interesting bits that didn't add much to the final product, I would have went with an 8. Second best match of the Jr. Tag League only behind the match prior to this. ***3/4
7428.10.2024GagaGaijin8.0Sehr gutes Match. Catch 2/2 und Rocky gut wie immer. Wenn YOH immer so motiviert wäre, wäre seine Karriere wohl anders verlaufen. Bitte weiter so.
7528.10.2024sixxgod8.0Another strong match, even if it went a liiiittle bit longer than I would've preferred. This Roppongi Vice reunion is off to a pretty good start
7628.10.2024SoundwaveAU6.0Definitely too long, which doesn't play to Catch 2/2's strengths. A lot of weirdly aimless feeling and technically competent but uninteresting stuff until they fire the hell up in the last third of the match. YOH does nothing for me as a worker, and Romero doesn't bring much to the proceedings, but Catch 2/2 are still one of the best teams in the world so they ensure this is a good time.
7727.10.2024daveportivo8.0This match couldn't rival the previous match for intensity drama or heat, but the work in this match was really excellent. Yoh and Rocky Romero are just absolutely rock solid and completely adept at working with anyone in any style. Catch-22 remain a complete team and there was plenty of great back and forth action here. Akira continues to stand out and really endear himself to the Japanese fans, but this match was ultimately about the big returns to YH of Rocky and Yoh who ended up getting the win after a big back and forth finale.
7827.10.2024DENDY7.0Interesting choice to have this main event over TMDK/War Dogs, and therefore there were big boots to fill here. Akira and Romero started strong with some good technical work together, before it all devolved into a bit of a brawl when TJP and YOH got in. This was certainly good, but definitely a level below the previous matchup which led to it feeling slightly deflating in the first half. That being said there were some really cool spots and overall a high level of action, including a brilliant closing stretch with some close nearfalls and tense moments. Roppongi 3Vice got the win after a sick double team move but Catch 22 were the stars here, they looked like a million bucks. Another great watch on this card and one I would highly recommend.
