On one hand I thank all the gods for not giving me a long Jey Uso match, but still, 4 more minutes with a more complex in-ring work, specially from a guy that can work well like Woods, would've been nice. This match didn't make sense at all to begin with. Why was Woods granted a title shot to begin with? Just because Kofi asked Pearce for it? That's how title chances are given? Lame. Then, this match only featured a rushed development for the eventual Woods' heel turn. He acted way too heelish here for a guy that hasn't turned yet. You shouldn't treat your audience like they're stupid, we all know what's coming, don't make it too obvious because it loses its fun. ** 1/2 because at least it wasn't a horrible match. |

Mind you this was for the intercontinental championship. That's why a 2 hour Raw is a bad idea. I know people say they were tired of the last hour but matches are going to be very short like this until Raw goes back to 3 hours once again. |
