08.11.2024 | Brando Calrissian | 8.0 | For the final of the first ever DSGP, I thought the show as a whole was rather lacking and not all that special. Of course there were some barn burners such as Hayashishita vs Amarei, Bozilla vs Sareee, and the final...but there were a lot of just bad matches on here as well. I have grown really tired of CHIAKI and her matches, the double count out between MIRAI and Nozaki was AWFUL, the opening three way was worse than other ones that they've had in previous shows, and all the other matches were just good at most. This didn't feel like it was treated as a major show or important event. It was just...there. Hopefully next year will have a much more consistently quality tournament that makes the final feel bigger and better.

08.10.2024 | Rossg17 | 8.0 | Myla Grace vs Komomo Minami vs Nao Ishikawa: A three way preshow match that was that not memorable, a largely average match [*3/4]. Natsumi Showzuki vs Chika Goto: Goto keeps improving, Showzuki set the pace here in what was an okay match, a level of solid action [**1/2]. Victoria Yuzuki vs NORI: Would have been better if given more time, but it was fine for what it was [*3/4]. MIRAI vs Nagisa Nozaki: They had a decent back and forth match, but the ending did ruin it when CHIAKI got involved to help Nozaki, the double count out result was not the best way to go [*1/2]. Utami Hayashishita vs Kouki Amarei: Kouki has improved throughout the tournament and its showcased in this one against Utami, Utami sold Koukis offense really well and it was an overall enjoyable match [***]. Kizuna Tanaka vs CHIAKI: An forgettable match that was average except Tanaka winning her first match in the tournament [**]. Mai Sakurai vs Misa Matsui: Another forgettable match, that was average at best, could have had more time [**]. Miku Aono vs Nanae Takahashi: A really competitive time limit draw match, the outcome of the draw made sense here, Aono and Takahashi had great chemistry and had a back and forth match [***3/4]. Bozilla vs Sareee: Bozilla doing a moonsault was a highlight, it was a decent David vs Goliath match, Bozilla winning was a surprise as Sareee is the top champion in Marigold [***]. Utami Hayashishita vs Mai Sakurai: Best match of the tournament, both gave their all despite having wrestled this match as their second match on the event, physical as expected, Utami winning was the right call and it ended on a high note [****1/2]

Would have been a 10 if some of the matches had had longer to breathe. Also, it's great to hear Fuka do commentary for the whole event as she's always awesome and provides plenty of amenability and passion throughout. |

30.09.2024 | Some Guy | 7.0 | Good show to cap off the first Dream Star GP. The pre-show three way match was okay, nothing special (4/10). Natsumi vs Gochika was solid, with Gochika having shown improvement over the tournament and Natsumi gets a convincing win to finish strong (6/10). Yuzuki vs NORI told a story of NORI coming in needing a win to advance to the final and being upset by the clever rookie in the first surprise of the night (6.5/10). MIRAI vs Nagisa started off fine but had a bad ending to bring it down a lot. The double count out finish took forever, even if the result made sense (3/10). Utami vs Kouki determined who would go to the final. This was a good match where Kouki's recent improvement was evident. Utami gets the win and awaits her opponent (6.5/10). Kizuna vs CHIAKI was decent. Kizuna didn't have any points and overcame the cheating heel for her first singles win, that was a nice moment for her (5/10). Mai vs Misa was fine, could have been better. Mai needed a win to have a chance at the final and she got it fairly easily (5/10). Miku vs Nanae was a very good match, the best of the show. This should have been on before the previous match because Mai's victory eliminated them both, so there wasn't anything at stake between two of the bigger names. Regardless, that didn't stop them from trying to go out strong with a win. They beat other up to a time limit draw (8/10). Bozilla vs Sareee was a good, interesting match. Sareee needed a draw or win to advance, whereas Bozilla was already eliminated but wanted to make a statement. Bozilla beat the champion clean to take her out of the tournament and set up a future title match (7/10). The Dream Star GP Final between Utami and Mai had good action throughout and it felt like either could win. Utami fighting through the STF was the best part. Utami getting the win was the right result, especially with the story they're telling with her. Utami challenging Sareee for the title is the kind of big match that Marigold needs (7.5/10). The final three matches carry the show, the rest is a mixed bag. There were some odd booking decisions throughout the DSGP, but it had the correct winner which was the important part. 7/10

30.09.2024 | ChocoboSage | 8.0 | A hood final day, those last 4 matches are worth seeing. As well as the Utami/Kouki match. Everyone has grown fron this tournament and looks better for it, for a 1st GP for many of them, they did very good. People should remember this is a pretty new roster with a lot of inexperience in. With the ex Stardom wrestlers and Freelancers as exceptions. They'll push forward and grow, and so will the fan base
29.09.2024 | interrupted | 9.0 | This was overall a very positive final night of the Dream Star GP with at least 4 or 5 strong matches (MIRAI vs Nagisa being shockingly the disappointment of the night on how the match was booked and structured). Miku Aono vs Nanae Takahashi, Sareee vs Bozilla and the finals were the best matches of the night and pretty great. Overall I thought it was a successful tournament that managed to elevate multiple wrestlers and deliver some good to great matches, leaving us with a MOTYC in Nanae vs Sareee from September 23rd.

29.09.2024 | TheRabbitInTheBush | 6.0 | Some nice matches here. The double count out didn't bother me as much as the time limit draw. Bozilla beating Sareee was good. Utami winning the tournament is predictable but Marigold need to play it safe for now. This crowd was bad and it looks like they are having trouble drawing. For the awards it was sad to see Nori not get recognized. This tournament really helped Marigold and now the difficult part comes. They need to establish some stories and maybe even factions.
29.09.2024 | LadySnowblood | 6.0 | An allright final day of the Marigold Dream Star Grand Prix with a few solid matches. I liked Miku Aonos performance. Bozilla got an upset win over Sareee. Utami won the very predictable tournament with too many time limit draws.
29.09.2024 | NikoKillbain | 6.0 | Decent final, but I knew not to expect too much given Mai Sakurai's over-involvement. She did make the final competitive though. Performer of the show was Victoria Yuzuki, who took serious punishment to earn her final points of the tournament.
