909.01.2025turnersykes I was at this show in person and it was absolutely incredible. The structure of the show was amazing, the only downside was that Adam Cole vs Malaki Black under delivered and was boring. The Learning Tree vs The Congolmeration was amazing and the main event was even better. Great show and amazing experience! 10/10!

3711.11.2024WAKA Flockanoku6.0Most of the matches on here were fine outside of the Adam Cole vs. Malakai Black match. It also kinda sucks to see the women get so little time. Other than that, the matches were good, but not great. [MOTN: Konosuke Takeshita & Kyle Fletcher vs. Powerhouse Hobbs & Ricochet]
3811.11.2024Reprise7.0It has been a difficult and inconsistent year for AEW and this episode isn't any different. For the most part it was a very solid episode and came close to being an 8 for me, but a few things let it down. Let's start with the positives. The Hurt Syndicate's presentation and everything involving them is excellent. The promos and various video packages were all great too. I also very much enjoyed all the matches (bar one), although none were outstanding. Unfortunately though, there were also a number of issues. Let's start with Adam Cole and Malakai. What happened here? The match was ok in places, but downright bad in other places. It was sometimes like they were fighting underwater in slow motion and the ending was just baffling. They have a problem with Cole in general. Besides the obvious ring rust (I hope it's just rust! ), this whole feud with MJF is completely heatless. It was one of their biggest storylines of 2023 and it just is not the same now, especially since they flipped the heel and face personas and seemingly brush off Cole's heel turn last year, robbing audiences who want to see MJF as the face getting his revenge. It lacks heat because MJF doesn't even seem to care about facing Cole and the story has become convoluted with the Kingdom needlessly being brought into the mix. Another feud/story that just isn't hitting the mark for me is Statlander and Mercedes. Kamille should be this big imposing scary individual who the other women are terrified of, but she's being treated almost like a joke? Why is Statlander a face now after only a few months of being a heel? It's just not working for me. The main event was great fun though and it was great to see Hobbs back. Overall, a good episode as I said and close to an 8, but unfortunately just not quite good enough.

4410.11.2024Pro Wrestling 19485.0The episode got progressively better. Didn't like the outcome of the opener with Death Riders not getting a clean win over WOD. Had absolutely no interest in the second match. The third match was ok between Adam Cole and Malakai Black. I enjoy Malakai, so I'm not sure what direction they are taking him? MJF makes a mysterious phone call. I knew Penelope wouldn't be booked to go over on Hayter, but would rather have seen a longer match. Loved the surprise appearance and turn of Powerhouse Hobbs. The main event was excellent.

4610.11.2024RestlingThots7.0About that Hurt Syndicate theme... I can't say I necessarily like it but it's definitely an interesting choice. I expect it to grow on me over time, though. Swerve Strickland calling out Booby Lashley felt lazy, tbh. Cole v Black match absolutely sucked. The previous match against Buddy was better and had an actual story, this one - not so much. Malakai refusing to fight back and just sitting in the middle of the ring waiting for Adam to deliver his final blow was very strange to see, especially considering that the later is a babyface and he still hit his finisher on his opponent who obviously is giving in to him without any hesitation or remorse. Hook is still very bad on mic. Kip Sabian is still the most handsome male on AEW roster. The callback to the Christian's unsuccessful cash-in when Kip stole his pen, and Cage run into members of BCC, was really a nice touch. "Everything counts", as kids say nowadays. Main Event was fine. I was disappointed to see that Hobbs hadn't added any muscle to his relatively skinny legs. He looks exactly the way he did before he went away for 6 months - he could at least change his haircut or something, just anything to show a change in his character.

5010.11.2024bornnaughty2.0This might be the single worst event (yes event, I include every single show they ever did) that AEW has put together in their 5 year history. For starters we have two matches that migth as well be the same match. Jump start? Check. Crazy brawl in and around the ring? Check. Chaotic mess? Check. WAY too many people involved at the same time? Check. All the contestants make themselves and others look bad and getting less over every second? Check. Both matches are somewhere at the bottom of the barrel of wrestling matches I've seen but it actually gets worse: Adam Cole vs Malakai Black. I have no clue what they were trying to do. The match itself was weird and slow and plodding and, where they wrestling in quicksand? And the ending sequence and follow up promo (dear lord have Cole's promo's gone off the deep end since his return) made absolutely no sense whatsoever. Legitimately one of the worst matches I've ever seen. And I don't know how that's possible with these two talents. The main event was the least bad match on the card but it was still not very good. There was no one leading it to any kind of psychological sense. They didn't really tell a story. They didn't play to their strengths. They all had bad chemistry with each other somehow. All of the 4 guys involved have their talents but with no one leading them to showcase those talents while hiding their weaknessess and no experienced ring leader (Ricochet is experienced but he's no ring general to put it mildly) all of them were exposed. We've seen this with so many mayor signings in this company. They seemed to be great before but apparently a lot of these stars need some guidance in order to shine. Nothing wrong with that but don't put them in these positions if it makes them look bad. Storywise I didn't really mention anything simply because there's nothing to speak of. There was no promo or angle that's even worth mentioning. What we are getting though is a handful of heel factions that are all fighting for control of this company seemingly but I don't really see any significant babyfaces to challenge either of these groups. I hope it goes somewhere but so far I haven't seen anything that gives me confidence that it will.

5409.11.2024JordanLC969.0Fantastic episode of Dynamite. This week felt very in ring focused, while extending key stories leading up to full gear. The now complete Hurt Syndication was introduced, all three look incredible, leading to Swerve Vs Lashley being announced. The opening match was great, with Darby looking fantastic against the newly named Death Riders. The 6-man fight without honor was an extremely fun 15 minutes with all 6 men looking great Ishii vs Jericho surely confirmed for the ROH title at some point. This is the Jericho we need to see more often. Cole vs Black was another good match, not as good as the previous 2 matches but still enjoyable. A couple of really good segments next with continued build to Hangman & Jays feud and then Mone and Stat building there match nicely. This match has promise to be seriously good at Full Gear. Hayter and Penelope was really good for the time they were given (should have been longer) - Penelope in particular looked great. The real highlight of this episode was the entire main event segment. The surprise return of Powerhouse Hobbs (who looked like he hadn't been away), the excellent tag match itself and then the great post-match beatdown / return of Will Ospreay. (9/10)

5909.11.2024ZooWee7.0Pretty good Dynamite this week. First two matches were quite good, main event was solid and even Hayter vs Ford was pretty enjoyable considering the time it got given. There were a couple fun segments here too, like the opening segment with the Hurt Syndicate, the Hangman/Jay White segment, Christian's promo on Hook and obviously all the Death Riders shit. The only real lowlight on this show was Cole vs Black which was basically just a really shit match but pretty much everything else here was enjoyable to some degree. Pretty good show overall. MOTN - Claudio Castagnoli & PAC v Darby Allin & Orange Cassidy

7408.11.2024exzachly7.0This weeks Dynamite was a good show that built up strongly to Full Gear and had some great stand alone moments as well. Kicking off the night with the official debut of Bobby Lashley and the Hurt Syndicate, only to have Swerve immediately call him out for Full Gear was a good choice and I like that Lashley and Shelton Benjamin are being presented as equals even if it is Lashley getting the PPV singles match. All the matches were fine to good, with the Fight Without Honor and the main event both being especially fun. The feud between Mox and Cassidy continues to feel like a step in the right direction, and with the little bits of Wheeler Yutas arc being thrown in there, this is probably the most I have been invested in Yuta. The Adam Cole and MJF feud continues to be messy though and I think theyre trying way too hard with this story and it seemingly derailed the House of Black for the time being. Jamie Hayter looked on form as always in what was actually a very good and tight, if not short match with Penelope Ford. Hobbs returning in the main event match was the highlight of the night for me, along with the post match angle being a wild mix of players all appearing, with Will Ospreay getting a monster pop in his first appearance since Wrestle Dream. Overall, a great show that highlighted a lot of AEWs big names like Ospreay, Ricochet, Cole, Cassidy, Darby, and the Death Riders while also spotlighting the promising talent like Hobbs, Takeshita, Hayter, Fletcher, and Big Bill along the way.
7508.11.2024LadySnowblood4.0This week had only 6 minutes for the women's division with the Hayter vs. Penelope match and the Mercedes & Statlander brawl. That's disapointing. I tought these times were over with a poorly booked women's division. Malakai Black said goodbye or not? This was weird. The main event was the best match of the show. I wished I could rate Dynamite this week higher, but not with just 6 minutes time in a 2 hour show for the women.

8108.11.2024PW-Genius The introduction of the hurt syndicate was very interesting and the WESTSIDE GUNN theme for them is so hard. I wish Adam Cole vs Malakai Black was a bit better but it wasn't the worst match I have ever seen. Really the only thing I don't like right now with AEW is the Adam Cole, MJF and Rodrick Strong feud. Most of MJF's feuds feel the same other than his CM Punk one which so happens to be his best. Kyle Fletcher is really forming into a potential singles star which is cool to see, Hobbs is back and the road to Full Gear is getting more and more interesting. Overall a pretty damn good show.

9308.11.2024robbyplaha7.0This was a fine episode of Dynamite. I liked the introduction of The Hurt Syndicate and seeing Bobby Lashley being put over. Very happy to see Powerhouse Hobbs return been missing him for a while and now he's a babyface which is something fresh so hoping he gets a huge push. But overall very solid episode and more story progressed towards AEW Full Gear.
9408.11.2024JGM7.0
9508.11.2024NikoKillbain6.0Better matches than segments, with Dynamite once again showing its got great pockets of wrestling without being a coherent show. Performers of the night were Darby and the returning Hobbs.
9607.11.2024FTT9.0Good show tonight, was a lot of fun and moving stories forward with some good matches. Low point was definetly the Cole VS Black match with the awkward ending, hope cole gets back in the groove of things. Hobbs being the myster partner for Ricochet was dope and that fight at the end of the show with Ospreay and Mark Davis was great, looking forward to them vs the DCF
9707.11.2024Michael Morbius6.0I didn't think there was anything actually bad on the show (other than one match) but I did think everything could've been 10 times better than it was. The Hurt Syndicate saying they want to help younger talents just doesn't do it for me as Moxley is already telling a story like this. Also no mic time for Lashley? His confrontation with Swerve was weak as hell. OC & Darby vs. Death Riders was fun and the ending in no contest serves well the purpose of the story. Fight without honor was also pretty fun. Cole vs. Malakai was terrible. Malakai checked out and phoned in it and Cole's still looking out of shape and has clear ring rust. Two great talents like Jay White and Hangman Page not even getting 5 minutes is embarassing. Just imagine the promos these two would cut on each other, instead they've been getting less and less time every week. Mercedes Mone and Kris Statlander segment was embarassing. Kamille lost all of her credibility in two weeks and how the hell should I think Mercedes and her are a problem for Kris when she was able to destroy both of them despite being nearly invested by a car? Speaking of the ladies: why the fuck did you build Penelope vs. Jamie for weeks, only for it to last less than 5 minutes? Despite that, the two put on a solid match. The women's division is starting to get back in the position it was for the first 3-4 years of AEW. One match before the main event and one, maybe two, backstage angles. Christian Cage/Hook is actually looking really promising. Christian is just a goated talker and has already sold me on this feud. Good way to get Hook out of the JerichoVortex and the FTW title scene by putting him against a great worker like Christian. Main event was the best match of the night. Hobbs returning was a great surprise and the action was great. Takeshita getting pinned made him look a bit weak but I get why they did it. Post-match with Ospreay returning was great. Don Callis Family warzone, I love it. Overall: the show's obviously really good with the major stories progressing well enough. However the show just lacked that energy it needs to be fun to watch. Plus I just hated everything to the women's division and Cole vs. Malakai was a worst match of the year candidate.
9807.11.2024ParkwayDriver5.0Middling show that did at least peak with an enjoyable main event. A number of feuds going that do not resonate with me at all particularly Cole/MJF (prolonged after a boring match between Malakai/Cole on this show) and the newly labeled Death Riders/faces of AEW.
