[7.0] "For a show that was the first episode on a new network, I thought that the show fell a little flat. It's still a good show, just not as good as I expected it. Roxanne and Giulia was really good however they definitely had the potential to have it be great, with it being very evident that Giulia still needs to adjust to the WWE style (which she shouldn't really have to tbh but it's fine). Wes Lee & Zachary Wentz killed it with the absolutely insane Street Fight and the table bump. And the main event was rather lacklustre even with the inclusion of Punk as the guest referee, but pretty much expected out of a Trick Williams vs Ethan Page bout. All in all, a decent first show, only to be topped by the next one. Rox/Giulia - ***1/2, Wes/Wentz - ****, Trick/Ethan - **1/2."

[7.0] "On the CW Network debut for NXT this was a decent episode with a interesting Miz TV segment with Oba Femi and Tony D'Angelo, a couple of good matches and one that was okay. Roxanne Perez vs Giulia: The chemistry was there, they did the best in the just under 13 minutes they had, Giulia looked good in her first big NXT match, there was a moment or two of miscommunication and the Cora Jade interference and siding with Perez was worked well and actually handled in a good way [***3/4]. Wes Lee vs Zachary Wentz: Easily MOTN, with the history they share this made it even more personal and they delivered a brutal street fight with some clever and brutal looking spots, better than what I thought it was gonna be [****1/4]. Fallon Henley & Jacy Jayne vs Jaida Parker & Lola Vice: This was largely fine, nothing noteworthy happened in this one [**]. Trick Williams vs Ethan Page: While it was largely decent to watch, it just wasn't as great as I would expect it to be, Trick winning was good to see and can't wait for his 2nd reign as champion to see what he can do [***]"

[4.0] "This was startlingly underwhelming for a long-hyped network premiere. It's fantastic to see that this drew 900, 000, because after an ep with two poor belt decisions & 2 sub-5/10 matches, an actually good episode is bound to draw like a motherfuck. The good: I think everyone will agree that the street fight was the MOTN, & I actually think I enjoyed Trick & Ethan's match (& especially CM Punk's role as the hard-headed veteran / face ref) more than most ppl. The Miz segment was fun, & got me invested in both performers (names escape me: I've only watched NXT in spurts up to this point & am terrible with names, sorry). The bad: The women's matches did not rock it tonight, & it's a shame for a network premiere, because I've seen a few different NXT eps where the ladies really brought it & did very well. Roxanne's reign has worn on & on, while Ethan's reign was really beginning to cook & rock with this cocky heel persona, only for it to be taken away before 3 months' end."

Danach kommt mein Match Of The Night zwischen Wes Lee & Zachary Wentz.

While the main event was definitely one of the lower points of the episode, the highs (Primarily Wentz vs. Wes and the first half of Giulia vs. Roxanne) were an absolute blast. It had one of my favorite TV matches of the year so far in the Street Fight, and in-between those matches had an absolute blow-away segment with Oba continuing to prove he is arguably the best young talent within NXT in combination of in-ring talent and mic-work."

[7.0] "NXT's debut on the CW brought with it a lot of excitement and many things advertised such as Miz TV, a CM Punk appearance in the main event because "Lol Chicago" and two championship matches, alongside a big grudge match and a tag match that featured a run in from two big main roster stars. The first two matches absolutely delivered, but the last two, especially the main event, were a little lacking, and the finish to the main event was pretty weird. This show didn't feel like a typical episode of NXT at all- Only 4 matches, not many segments, which is a far cry from the HBK era with 7 ish matches and numerous short segments that make the show incredibly fluid and vivid. This isn't necessarily bad, again, half the matches were really good, but it was a bit weird. I hope it's just the product of this being a "PPV esque" show rather than NXT changing their booking style for the CW. Also the new titles are kind of ugly sorry."

You can see how much better the wrestling matches are in nxt and it was nice to see a big crowd who were very noisy. Title matches, Oba Femi segment i loved it, street fight, what else can be bettter? Im shocked to see the rating of this show but it is what it is, the internet doesnt have to have the same opinion as me, we all have our taste in wrestling"

Cora Jade finally making her big return was a GREAT way to kick off the show after a banger world title match, and CM Punk was a fun addition throughout this Chicago episode. I give this pretty good episode an 8 out of 10 here."

[4.0] "I had high hopes for the CW season premiere of NXT, but oh boy, did NXT killed itself that night for me. Except for the Street Fight which also left a sour taste in my mouth, every match on this nights card was under-achieving perfomances and poor booking. Don't be fooled by the cheering and chants of the audience in some moments, the incel fan of today LOVES mediocrity and does not care about quality. Just quantity. Just consuming product like a brainless zombie. It seems like every new iteration of NXT gets worser than the one existing prior. The new logo is bland, just as is the product. The new openning theme sucks big time and transfers no excitement to the viewer. The new belts look like dumpster toys from a 1$ store. The commentary still sucks and now that the Rascals/MSK storyline has ended, there is literally no intersting storyline left in NXT. Surely, Page will be send to the main brands next or this title loss would make no sense at all. Really a big let-down and missed opportunity in my eyes."

The vibe from the presentation and the audience made this premiere feel like a TakeOver event and it got me hooked the whole night. I enjoyed the Guilia vs. Roxanne Perez match and the Ethan Page vs. Trick Williams match. The MOTN was Wes Lee v. Zachary Wentz and the 6 woman tag was good and I enjoyed the segment after the match."

The match of the night was Wes Lee vs Zachary Wentz in a street fight was a banger match."

[4.0] "NXT's first show on CW, this was presented as a big deal with Shawn Michaels and Triple H coming out to kick things off. The first match was Roxanne vs Giulia for the NXT Women's Championship, and this was disappointing. They didn't have much chemistry and the lame interference finish brought things down as Cora Jade returns to help out her former rival retain. Hopefully their eventual rematch is better (4/10). Wes Lee vs Zachary Wentz was easily the best match of the night. They made good use of the stipulation to put on a satisfying, entertaining fight (7.5/10). The Miz TV segment with Oba Femi and Tony D was very good, it building hype to their NA title match next week. Fallon/Jacy vs Jaida/Lola was an okay filler match. The action was decent, nothing really stood out. Jaida walked out on Lola after some tension between them, the heels take advantage and win (4/10). The post-match had Fatal Influence confronting Kelani and her being saved by Bianca and Jade to set up a match next week. There was a vignette teasing the debut of DELTA, that's something to look forward to. The main event between Trick and Page for the NXT Championship was decent. Punk as the special guest referee didn't matter much, but it's Chicago so he had to be there. This was just a perfectly fine back and forth with a few near falls. The finish was flat, Trick just hits the knee randomly and wins. I can't say I agree with Page losing the title so soon, his reign was hitting its stride. It was something to send the crowd home happy (5/10). This was very underwhelming episode of NXT considering how much hype was built around it. Wes vs Wentz delivered, the rest not so much. The results of the title matches needed to be reversed. Roxanne's reign has been stale while Page's was getting good. It just felt like they played it very safe with the booking here, they should have taken a chance and shaken things up a bit. This was a missed opportunity. 4/10"

Two good matches though regardless. Lee/Wentz was match of the night, I much preferred it to their No Mercy match. The other segments were all good. Strong use of Punk, Miz, HBK/HHH, Belair & Cargill. Good to see Cora Jade back too."

[7.0] "It fresh start on a new network I thought this episode of NXT was decent with a solid opener with the return of Cora Jade. A violet street fight match where both men looked like they try to kill each other. Tony D'Angelo & Oba Femi had an intense promo battle on Miz TV. Jaida Parker & Lola Vice looked like they couldn't get on the same page but afterwards WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill came to help out Kelani Jordan with Fatal Influence. The Main Event we saw a title change with Trick Williams becoming a 2x NXT Champion. A good start on a new network hopefully they keep the momentum going with next week show."

[5.0] "Not a great tone-setter for NXT on the CW going forward. There were commercial break and production issues throughout the night. Commentary and the video truck did not seem to be on the same page. NXT having a legit crowd is great as the NXT arena audience are sorta lame and go into business for themselves often. Not a single match stood out to me as above a C+. Guilia, the top prospect in their women's division had a dud and Trick, their top dude also had a mid level dude."

[7.0] "A good show, but it left me disappointedI expected more. The first half was definitely more interesting than the second. To start with, what I liked the least about this episode of NXT was the unnecessary presence of so many main roster stars, placed there only to boost TV ratings, starting with CM Punk as the special referee. The opener was a good match, though there were moments where it was clear that the two werent on the same page. You can tell Giulia needs time to learn the WWE style. I think the main mistake was throwing her into the main title picture right away without giving her time to settle into the new roster, which is very different from Merigold or Stardom. The ending was strangenot necessarily in a bad way, as it opens up some interesting narrative possibilities. The match of the night was definitely Wes vs. Zachary Weltz. The table botch scared me, but the match itself was amazing. The NXT Men's Title match was pretty average, and CM Punks presence, aside from getting a small Chicago chant, added nothing to the match. I really like the show's rebranding, and I hope that, just like the graphics, NXT will start to adopt darker storylines and move away from goofy characters and children's storylines, at least for the most part."

Good build for next week, and I liked the tease of Delta Brady's debut at Halloween Havoc, presumably she'll get a new name."
