[6.0] "Sensational opener with CM Punk and Drew completely revitalising the HIAC stipulation by beating the absolute piss out of each other for 30 minutes, rest of the show is mediocre at best, the main event was decent but was only the main event for the rock to come out and confuse everyone. The Finn Damien match was okay, Priest standing up after being hit with multiple coup de gras did leave a bad taste in my mouth, and the other two matches were baddddd, especially the Rhea Liv match which made such little sense, Rhea just allowed to not be counted out, Dominik being suspended outside of the ring because of the HIAC and the atrociously botched finish, honestly this feud has run its course and I'm begging for it to end, Liv and Rhea are both very good wrestlers and deserve way better booking!"
[3.0] "Let's be honest, everyone only watched this card just for the hell in a cell match, and I'm one of those people. That Hell In A Cell match was amazing, Punk and McIntyre beat the shit outta each other and gave the cell stipulation a match is deserves, and for the rest of the card.........yeah it was nothing. The tag match was wrongfully given the main event spot, Nia vs Bayley & Rhea vs Liv were garbage, and Finn and Damien was just something that was there. Just watch this for the cell match, don't bother with the rest of the show."
[6.0] "The opening Hell in a Cell match is what makes this PPV. Nothing else truly stands out. Finn/Priest put on a solid showing and main event eventually finds its feet."
[3.0] "A really poor show, held up only by the fantastic Hell In A Cell between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre. The two women's matches were very bad, especially the one between Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan which had a horrible ending due to disqualification. The match between Priest and Balor was overall sufficient, but it was useless in view of Balor's defeat and the sinking of Judgement Day, which by then had become very little credible. And the main event between Bloodline and Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns was slow and with a too obvious ending, with Reigns and Rhodes winning thanks to the help of the returning Jimmy Uso. And then the arrival of The Rock at the end of the match was, in hindsight, useless, and if that's the reason why Hell In A Cell wasn't the main event it pisses me off. A bad show, which perhaps with a different lineup would have been more enjoyable."
Gesamt: 9, 0."
[6.0] "This show was nothing special to be quite honest. It peaked with the opener, fell off a cliff after until the main event gave it some life but not as much as the opener. All in all, a pretty forgettable show, with an unforgettable match attached to it. Drew/Punk III - *****, Nia/Bayley - **3/4, Priest/Balor - ***, Rhea/Liv - *1/2, Cody-Roman/Solo-Jacob - ***1/2."
[6.0] "Just very underwhelming show overall, The HIAC match was basically my match of the year with all the violence and brutality, the women's match that came after was a fun botchfest (never thought I would say that hahaha) Priest vs Balor was underwhelming and the other women's match was just a huge letdown. The main event was good but the main event spot wasn't deserved over that HIAC match, especially because now we know the Rock appearance meant nothing."
[4.0] "The problem with 5-match formula that WWE uses these days, is that if one match stinks up the joint it already sticks out like a sore thumb, but if two matches fail to deliver then it hurts even whatever good stuff that happened. Punk/McIntyre was easily the best match here, Priest/Balor and Main Event made babyfaces look strong and good, but both women's matches sent women's pro-wrestling back a few years thanks to hilariously bad performance by Nia Jax and that Dominik Mysterio taking the center stage in a Women's World Title match."
[7.0] "Punk Vs. McIntyre[9] - One of the best HIAC matches in recent history. Jax Vs. Bayley[5] - Not bad but Tiffany's involvement was very predictable. Priest Vs Balor[6] - Poor build up led to a boring match. Morgan Vs Ripley[5] - Should have been great, but was boring and the botched ending didn't help. Roman & Cody Vs Solo & Jacob[7] - Nothing special about this one, Jimmy's return was awesome, as was the rare appearance from The Rock who had a cryptic message for Roman."
[6.0] "The Hell in a Cell match was the real highlight here - even despite the feud losing a bit of steam with the unnecessary introduction of the bracelet angle, and despite, for that matter, than I'm not exactly a Punk fan to begin with, this feud-ender was undoubtedly excellent and easily on the short-list of best WWE matches of the year. The rest of the show, though, was a bit more average - Priest vs. Balor and Cody/Roman vs New Bloodline were decent; Jax vs Bayley was OK especially as Nia Jax matches go, and I didn't think Ripley vs Morgan was nearly as bad as the consensus, even with its plethora of overbooking. But a lot of those matches felt like they could've been fine as high-profile Raw/Smackdown bouts as much as PPV matches. I wonder if the show would've gone down better had Cody/Roman vs Bloodline opened and the HIAC closed."
[8.0] "This is a two match show. Most of the positives came from the Hell in a Cell match which arguably is match of the year. Then in the main event we got two biggest superstar in WWE teamed up and satisfy the crowd plus Jimmy return. The Rock made shocking appearance only to give some mysterious gestures. The other matches were mixed with one of them the atrocious Liv VS Rhea."
[6.0] "This show is the definition of a one match show, and boy was that match great. Excellent HIAC match to open the show but unfortunately nothing else on this show comes close to it. 2 bad womens matches (especially the botched finish in Liv Vs Rhea), a boring Priest Vs Finn match and a main event that was boring until the final 10 minutes. Previously weve seen the benefits of a 5-match card, this was the opposite. I think if the HIAC match main evented this wouldnt feel as bad as it did. (6/10)"
[6.0] "This show is an incredibly mixed bag. The HIAC match was obviously the highlight of the night, and was a beautiful return to form when it comes to what made HIAC feel so special in its infancy. It's at the very least a top 3 match WWE has had this year. The problem becomes the overall average feeling of the rest of the event. Nia vs Bayley was fine, if not a little sloppy. I appreciate Nia trying to expand her move set, but it simply didn't come off well. Other comments have already mentioned Nia's horrific hurricanrana. The Tiffany cash-in tease did save it somewhat, however. Finn vs Damian was also just average, but it didn't feel like it deserved a spot on a PPV. It feels like Judgment Day storyline is running fairly stale. It would help if Finn Balor actually got a win once in a while to feel like a credible threat. I understand the sentiment for Rhea vs Liv, but I don't think it's getting the credit it deserves. The match was quite strong until the botched finish. While the main event was enjoyable, it was solid rather than spectacular. The Rock's appearance at the end is what everyone was waiting for. Many argue that the HIAC should've been the main event, but I don't think there's really a right answer. It's kind of a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. Otherwise, the Crown Jewel announcement, while I don't mind the idea, features one of the most hideous championship belts the universe has ever laid eyes upon. Gunther and Goldberg were legitimately entertaining. Gunther's mic work with his snarky confidence works well because he has the ability to back it up. Ultimately, this is a one, maybe two match show. The HIAC made everything after feel worse by comparison, even if The Rock's appearance is main event worthy. It wasn't a waste of time, but it certainly isn't a must watch, or something to go back to with regularity."
[6.0] "Boooooring. The opener was the best match of the night by far and maybe the best match of the year, after that it was almost over. Balor vs Priest wasn't bad but wasn't even that good, especially for the ending. Nia vs Bayley was bad, while and the ending of Liv vs Rhea ruined that match, which was already ugly. The main event was all about star power. Jimmy's return was the best thing."
[5.0] "2 great matches sandwiching 3 subpar... or just bad matches. That was the best HiaC match I've ever seen, no joke. Punk doesn't have much left in the tank, and this clearly drained him, but one more for the books. Add yet ANOTHER classic to the Bloodline saga. Both women's matches were not good. So many better choices than Raquel to be involved in this feud, but ig the history makes it make sense. Finn Balor could've won this, but they need to let Finn be a real heel, not a chickenshit heel"
[6.0] "An underwhelming show with one great match, one good one, and the rest shitty. The middle section of this Live Event was a struggle to get through, but the Punk/Drew match and the Bloodline stuff was great. I don't think I'll ever seek out this PPV unless to rewatch Punk's match, so I can't give it high ranks due to the shit like Nia Jax on the card."
[6.0] "This show honestly was super underwhelming. I give 5 out of the six points to Drew vs Punk putting on an absolute classic but every other match was super Luke warm. Bayley vs Nia was okay, Priest vs Balor had good in-ring work but a lame ending, Rhea vs Liv sucked and the main event was kinda lame not gonna lie. Overall lame show except Punk vs Drew is one of my favorite matches of all time."
[6.0] "WWE conformism strikes once again. They had some much potential with practically all the matches here, and they didn't fully pull the trigger on them. Instead, they put together this lame amalgam of smoke and mirrors to make the PPV look more epic and important than it truly is (The Big 3 as hosts just for lame segments, showing a parade of contracted legends and awful present-day rappers, the Crown Jewel titles and Gunther promo, and the botchy and crappy Cody Rhodes band entrance). Stealing the main event away from the Hell In A Cell match just to have a Rock appearance that hasn't been addressed yet is the worst thing of the show. The match that featured the Bad Blood theme, the Cell, the best rivalry of the year, is relegated to the consolation spot of opening the show just because of an appearance that could happen at Crown Jewel without a problem. Speaking specifically about the Cell match, it was a complete war that I'm thankful for allowing the wrestlers to bleed like dying pigs, but just like I've been feeling about the feud since a little before SummerSlam, there was something that was lacking in the match. During most part of it I thought that, despite all the violence being displayed, there wasn't a true conductive thread behind it until the last 5 minutes. All the real storytelling and psychology happened right there. Still a great match and one of the best uses of the stipulation in a very long time. Nia vs Bayley was hurt because of Nia's lack of talent. She tries, she has the will to do her best, but she simply can't, and Bayley can't do miracles, so all her trying to make Nia look good isn't enough. I think the moment we saw here with Tiffany Stratton should've been the first time it happened that instead of the many times we saw that angle being already done. The Priest vs Bálor match is the ultimate way of saying "we don't give a damn about this, but we do care for Priest". They had such a deep story that wasn't properly told and explored and the match was just like that. It didn't look like it was a rivalry at all here, just like it was some random RAW match. Rhea vs Liv wasn't any better, and it only relied on how much Rhea, Dom and soap-operas draw. When it comes to the in-ring stuff, it went from less to more, started really boring and ended up on a good note before the nonsensical referee bias towards Rhea and the botchy ending by Raquel Rodríguez. Dom was funny the whole time. The only good thing about the Triple H segment was Gunther owning Goldberg. Everything else was either mid or pure trash. The Crown Jewel titles are such an stupid idea and hearing fans chanting for Goldberg in the year of our lord 2024 is equally crap. The main event was also a really big missed chance to do a great, even legendary match. You have such a beast like Jacob Fatu and you don't let him go to his fullest, you have Cody Rhodes relegated to a supporting actor role, you don't try to tell the same story of tension between Roman and Cody in the ring that you told with the stadium segment. Instead, you go with the typical Bloodline match. 5 minute staredowns, slow as hell pacing, the most basic form of wrestling and main event spots. Why can't we have a true banger of a match when the easier way works either way? I hate that way of thinking. Was it a bad PPV? Not at all, it wasn't boring to watch and the matches were decent, but saying more about this is being as conformist as WWE is with their product."
[6.0] "WWE's worst PLE of the year, though it would've been a hell of a lot worse if not for the Hell in a Cell match, which stands as a contender for WWE's best match of the year. Botched endings, boring matches, and a glacially paced main event do not do Bad Blood any favours."
[9.0] "I thought Bad Blood was amazing and I was there in person. Punk & Mcintyre was amazing and the best HIAC match in years. Balor Vs Priest was also a good match but I felt Balor should have won. Ripley & Liv was a good in ring match up until the finish. The main event was amazing and a very good performance by all 4 men. It was great to see The Rock make hes return and setup stories going into WrestleMania 41."
[7.0] "This was a good or average show largely carried around the punk vs McIntyre he'll in a cell match, what a bloodbath and what a war , all the spots moments violence weapons, it's everything we expected for the ending match of this heated rivalry. This match will be remembered for ages and a perfect match to show people who are not interested in wrestling. My least favorite match is Rhea vs Liv , the in ring work wasn't that bad , the work was fine and they delivered a okay in ring match, the main problem which is a huge problem is the atrocious booking of this match, why would rhea stop trying to win the title just to hit her ex with a kendo stick. Raquel coming back also fell flat , and I hated the finish. Match ratings: Punk vs McIntyre 9/10 , Nia Jax vs Bayley 6/10 , Damian vs Balor 5/10, Rhea vs Liv 5/10 , Cody and Roman vs The Bloodline 7/10."
[9.0] "Great show overall with the best opening match of the year and I would say if not for the bloodline mania matches it would be the best of the year. I enjoyed the main event, it wasn't a superb in ring match but great storytelling and fan service. Mid card was mid but the epic opening and end to the night gives it a 9 in my book."
[10.0] "This was one of the best event I have watched since starting to watch wrestling again. As a more casual fan, this show hit the thing that I love the most. STORYTELLING! . Every match told a story and help push other plot point in the existing story. I typically do not come to this site, fan opinion while important is very subjective. With that being said I find it very interesting at the ratings of the individual matches. Punk versus Drew, was the best hardcore match of the decade. It relied solely on the existing storyline and did not need stupid spots to get a pop. A match can only be as good as the story that surrounds it. This had the elements of storytelling that made you understand the reason the match was happening and why each superstar felt the way they did about the other. The bead spot was perfect use of the existing narrative to enhance the bout. Everything about this match was perfect to me. This is a generational match, 12/10. Let's be honest nothing in the world could have followed the opener, with that in mind and the progression of the Tiffany/Nia story this match is catching way to much hate. Was this a classic? No. But it was not awful either. This match had a few botches that was laughable. I can overlook that because I do not watch wrestling for the X's and O's, but rather for the storytelling. This accomplished what I believe it set out to accomplish, so for that I give it a 8/10. Damien vs Finn, probably was the match I was least looking forward too. However, there is still a level of storytelling here that made this feel palatable. The "you used to be my brother" story is well developed and will continue to grow as I believe the end of this feud will be Survivor Series. Having the Judgement Day attack is an added plus. Do you all really not understand what the Judgement Day is now? They are the chickenS**t heels who bend the rules and still think they are hot stuff. This fits the narrative. 8/10 Rhea vs Liv had one goal in mind. Return Raquel Rodriguez. When you watch this match with that in mind, I believe you can enjoy this match more. Again not the greatest X's and O's performance, but it was not supposed to be the entire match led to a plot point. The Judgement Day had new muscle. With that in mind, this match accomplished it's goal. I will give it a 8/10. Finally we get to the main event. Cody may be champion, but our Real Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns is still the face of the company. Roman is on a whole other level. This may be premature but he is truly the greatest of all time. Cody played his role in progessing the Bloodline narrative. This was not about Cody. This was family business. The better Uso, Jimmy, finally came home and helped secure a win for his Tribal Chief. We then get a return of the Final Boss. We are not sure what his motives are, but as he said on his social media promo, when he is ready he will tell us. This was a perfect ending to a great night. 12/10. Adding a potential Goldberg match is awesome. As for the new Crown Jewel Championship. This just makes it more important to be champion in November. Imagine this as WWE's new Super Bowl Ring. This event locked in the PLE of the Year, Locked up the Match of the Year and locked up the Feud of the Year. Not just in WWE, but in the whole industry for the year 2024."
"The Hell in a Cell match was the one to watch on this show. A fantastic bout and the story between CM Punk and Drew. Unfortunately, the Judgment Day matches with Ripley/Priest were disappointing, as was the Women's title match, which was predictable. The Main Event was just another building block in the big Bloodline storyline, and it turned out well."
[4.0] "One of WWE's worst shows of the year, only saved from being a dud by a good opener. Punk/McIntyre was great, easily the promotion's best match this year, but even that had things dragging it down. The two women's matches were flat out dreadful, and the other matches were boring."
[7.0] "First match was Punk vs Drew with a win of Punk, the match was really good, a lot of blood but also crazy spots, through the table, use of many objects, a lot of psychology which is a good way for this feud to end (i think it's finished ? ) anyway a very cool match. Then for the wwe women title belt Nia vs Bayley, was meh meh, funny part with Tiffany who decided not to cash in her money in the bank contract, but not a lot of very cool spots, and a match that was short but still slow. Damian Priest vs Fin Balor for the next match, good match with a lot of near fall, the former judgement day trying also to make in impact, the ending looked very nice with a combo of coup de grace from Balor, stopped with the finisher of Priest. Win from Priest and the crowd is happy. Then Liv vs Rhea with a very cool entranced of Liv alongside Dominik in a low rider, funny match because Dominik is in the air but very good spots, both womens are very good in the ring, good riptide outside and Liv's finisher aswell (i don't recall the name) then Dominik is hanged by the foot outside of the cage. Then Dominik is used like a pinata by Rhea. A weird end with Raquel tho ? Lol what happened ? And the main event of Cody + Reigns vs Solo + Fatu. Very awesome entrances. A good match with nice spots even tho the main subject is of course the weird team of the former enemies Cody and Reigns, classical finish with the return of Jimmy Uso and the win of Reigns. Then a fight break out and the Rock comes in, he does the eyebrow, and leave, well ok lol. Overall a pretty decent PLE. i'd give it 7"
[5.0] "The insane dichotomy of the fact that this had one of the best WWE matches ever produced on it while also being the worst show they've put on all year. FOUR out of 5 matches had Run-ins, 2 of them were near replays of previous PPV matches, barely any story was advanced by the storytelling provided and there was merely 90 minutes of wrestling in a 4 hour show. The travesty is, had you planned this event to open with the Bloodline and close with Drew and Punk and made no other changes? This would be a MUCH better show (alright, maybe a 7). Everybody had to follow one of the best, most brutal matches in WWE for a long, long time and no-one could even come anywhere near close. It is wild to me that they worked this hard to make a feud over a bracelet work and you sacrificed it so the Rock could wander out and touch his neck. What was that? Useless cameo of a man right now. More than that though, this again highlights the travesty of a 5 match PLE. The Intercontinental and WHC matches happened on Raw a couple nights later instead of at the PLE? What is happening? Why did Priest and Balor have a mid-tier match so Gunther could sit in the back until it was time to annoy Goldberg into a future match? Why aren't we having 6 or even 7 matches on cards, to give people who pay upwards of 200 dollars a seat something to be there for? HHH has all the tools at his disposal here, why do these suck so badly?"
[6.0] "Theres no need to talk about the opening match; CM Punk and Drew McIntyre are already excellent wrestlers. In my opinion, we witnessed one of the best matches of the last 5, maybe 10 years. I thank Punk and Drew for this match. The main event was good from an in-ring perspective, but if it had been another wrestler instead of Solo Sikoa, we would have seen an even better in-ring match. Jimmys return was sweet, and The Rocks return was electrifying. Kevin Owens heel turn after the match also got me excited for this weeks SmackDown. However, the PPV was bad in the midcard. I saw a lot of botches and organizational mistakes. Raquel Rodriguezs return wasnt exciting, and the way Raquel placed Liv on top of Rhea for the pin after the bell rang was tragicomic, making me wonder if the match ending in a DQ was an organizational error. The Nia Jax vs. Bayley match wasnt good, and it looks like well be waiting a long time for Tiffany Strattons cash-in. The Priest vs. Balor match was decent, but I dont think Priest needed this win. Now lets get to the worst part of the show. Triple H came out for an important announcement, and after this move, which got us all excited, the announcement of an ugly and pointless title was a huge disappointment. These kinds of ridiculous titles for Saudi shows reminded me of the Vince McMahon era. Worse still, Gunther got into an argument with Goldberg during that segment, and then Sami Zayn came and attacked Gunther. Ill admit, the segment was entertaining, but we dont need a Goldberg match in 2024, and we definitely dont need a Goldberg with a title."
[6.0] "This gets ABSOLUTELYYYY carried by Drew vs. Punk, as nothing after it felt like it was even PLE worthy. Everything after the opener was just... disappointing. Finn vs. Damian was anticlimactic, Rhea vs Liv was an absolute mess, and the other two matches were just ok."
[4.0] "I feel kinda bad giving this show a lower rating because of how good the hell in a cell match was, but good lord did the rest of this show suck. The women's matches were both bad and I was honestly probably too lenient in my rating of them, meanwhile the Balor & Priest match and the main event were both painfully mediocre. I get why the Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns team match got the main event over the hell in a cell match, but come on, those two matches just weren't even close to the same level even with a minor Rock cameo. It really is a shame that the actual blood feud match got shafted from the main by Rock showing up for 5 seconds. [MOTN: CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre]"
[6.0] "The opener, which should have been the main event, was an absolute banger. Spectacular storytelling and really well done violence. Crimson mask for this match was a nice touch. Popped me big time. Nia Vs Bayley was disappointing and was begging for Tiffy to cash in. Rhea/Liv was bad for obvious reasons and Priest/Balor waa just a serviceable match that didn't belong on a PPV. Main event was fun, but without the return of Rock I think, again, this doesn't belong on a PPV."
[5.0] "I haven't watched WWE since 2019, I tuned in for the Punk/Drew HIAC match and I figured hey WWE is wildly hot and successful I should give this show a chance. The HIAC match was AMAZING. Everything else sucked and reminded me why I don't and probably (regardless of how hot they get) will never watch again. Soulless to the core, also I know it has its audience but the bloodline stuff is just not for me. I like my matches to be matches and not just backdrops for a moment happening in the end. No thank you."
[6.0] "The opening match was amazing, but the rest of the show was completely forgettable. There wasn't anything extraordinary in the other matches. Rhea vs. Liv was by far the worst match of the show. This event could have been much better with two or three more matches on the card. Also, I miss having more matches with stipulations. I think the Main Event should have had a stipulation to improve the match."
[7.0] "The opener and main event followed by nia and Bayley were the standout matches of the show. I personally thought the Rhea liv match was good until the finish which ruined any goodwill that I had towards the match and then the priest balor natch, priest still winning even with the judgment day getting involved? Come on lol. Solid show nonetheless which could of been even better if Sami and Gunther made the card"
[7.0] "Was all of the in ring action great? No. But every moment that happend was great and it was a very moment driven show. From the Rock and Jimmy coming back to the insane HIAC. Alotta story's progressed, Goldberg/Gunther could become a thing. Like this show was just madness, what's to hate"
[7.0] "For the first time since WrestleMania it felt like a PLE instead of grand house show like Bash in Berlin and even Money In The Bank. I don't know, maybe a huge role plays location, but shows held abroad do not impress me as much as US events, nonetheless I live in Europe. It had both good and bad matches, even Hunter's dumb announcement turned into a curious encounter between Gunther and Goldberg which ended with Sami Zayn interference. I also realise with understanding why The Bloodline fight was put in the highest position. That short The Rock's appearance took the right place and was a good movement to close the show."
[7.0] "Punk Vs McIntyre 3 HIAC is a masterclass, best of its kind, but after that everything else on the show was either just decent at best with Cody and Roman Vs Bloodline and Priest Vs Balor to awful at worst with both womens world title matches. Overall WWE Bad Blood (2024) is a solid show, but the HIAC match is mostly all thats worth seeing."
[7.0] "Hard to rate the show, because the opener was a 10/10 for me, but the others weren't really PPV quality (the main event was in starpower, obviously). The decision for the tag to main event was unfortunte, even though I both understand why they did it and probably would've done the same thing. Stuff with Rock was great, interesting to see where it all leads. I can't give a show with that opener anything less than a 7."
[7.0] "Such a shame that they opened so strong and ended on an ok match - pushing the return of the Rock robbed Punk and Drew of the main event. If they'd had the Tag match with Cody first and Drew and Punk last, it would have worked well. No one much cares other than the initial pop for the Rock if he does nothing. Finn and Priest did ok but nothing spectacular, the Nia match was poorly done and the failed interference from Raquel brings the score down but the opener can't be stopped. Watch the Hell in a Cell match, skip the rest."
[7.0] "This show had one of the weirdest structures I have seen on a PPV/PLE in a long time. I talk about the matches in the separate guides so I will keep it short. The opener was fantastic and easily the best match on this show. This was followed by three matches that did nothing for me. They were just there and I will not remember any match that happened between opener and main event. Raquel returning got not a single trace of any emotional reaction out of me (and obviously lots of others). I was not excited and I am also not excited to see her in the near future, she is just as bland as a blank piece of paper to me. The main event was an okay match with some nice touches but the Jimmy return hyped me up. I love the OG Bloodline and that was exactly what I wanted to see. Jimmy will hopefully stop being the joke he was before his injury and get a bit more competitive (without losing his goofy antics which I have really enjoyed). I did not expect to see Rocky returning on top as I try to avoid rumors and spoilers as much as possible. It was a really nice surprise and his appearance alone without too much movement made me excited for the next chapters of the story. All in all, a show that was carried by a great start and finish but that has been majorly dragged down by the terribly bland middle part."
[5.0] "The first match was incredible. Literally a fantastic match. The next free matches were just bad. Bad wrestling, bad stories and bad finishes. The main event was fairly boring. Until the finish. The. The story played out and it was really good."
[6.0] "Decent PPV with an outstanding opener that is easily match of the year for me. I feel like all the matches that followed McIntyre vs Punk struggled because of how good it was. The main event was solid but did it need to main event? HIAC would've been so much more impactful as the main event. You had two okay matches after the cell match and then sadly, a really disappointing Rhea vs Liv match. All in all, I was sports entertained."
[6.0] "After a white hot start with HIAC, the rest of the card ranged from disappointing to flat out awful. Probably the weakest PLE of the HHH era, and the random reveal of the Crown Jewel Championship thing was strange, but hey we got Punk and Drew trying to kill each other so hey a win is a win."
[6.0] "The three middle matches did not impress much, the opener and the main event were the only two watch worthy matches, Triple H coming out for a segment to announce the Crown Jewel Title was worth watching especially when Gunther came out and started with Goldberg who was at ringside. CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre: The amount of blood in this match was a spectale to see, and their feud was elevated because of it, one of the best HIAC matches WWE have had in a long time, the intensity was high up there, definitely up there as a MOTY contender [*****]. Nia Jax vs Bayley: The match was okay, not as good as their match at SummerSlam, Tiffany Stratton getting involved again was not good, the bump the referee took looked different, Bayley should have won the title [**]. Damian Priest vs Finn Balor: Judgement Day interfered again, this match was not of the standard as their previous matches (especially during the COVID-19 Pandemic), the match was okay, Priest winning was definitely good to watch [***]. Rhea Ripley vs Liv Morgan: Not a good match, they had a way better match at SummerSlam, the shark cage stipulation did not work in the end as Dominik escaped which got Rhea distracted which allowed Raquel Rodriguez to help Liv and Dominik even if Rhea did win but by DQ [*3/4]. Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns vs Jacob Fatu & Solo Sikoa: Jimmy Uso making his return to help Reigns & Rhodes was cool to see, the match was a classic Bloodline style match that was enjoyable to watch throughout the 25 minutes, The Rock returning post match was shocking as well [****1/2]"
[4.0] "One of the best matches of the year comes in otherwise one of the worst PLEs of the year. Shame, that. Hell in a Cell went above and beyond the expectations and delivered a classic that revitalized that format and sprayed blood everywhere. The rest? Either missing something, out of place, or downright bad. Bayley vs Nia was uneven and Tiffy should have cashed in. Finn vs Damien was okay but nothing special. Rhea vs Liv was downright bad and the ending was a misfire on every level. The main event had no business being in that place on the card. And, good Lord, the "big announcement" and subsequent hoohah was infuriating. Probably the worst segment WWE has run since I started watching again last year. I actually got my hopes up that Haitch was going to announce a midcard women's title or something cool, but no, we get a gaudy and worthless title to appease the Saudis. F*cking bragging about the diamonds in that thing after a devastating hurricane has left so many dead and homeless and hungry. Tone deaf and gross. Then, GUNTHER comes out to pick a fight with Bill Goldberg, who absolutely nobody was asking to see again. And then they didn't even fight! Billy Boy puffed out his chest but Sami Zayn instead jumps GUNTHER. Absolute waste of everyone involved. Why not just book Sami vs GUNTHER in that spot? Especially with RAW moving to two hours soon. Or put that incredible ladder match on SmackDown there instead, making the Bloodline look dominant right before the main event? Really bad stuff. Remember this show for Hell in a Cell and throw the rest out of your memory bank."
[8.0] "Three matches in the middle are pretty average and somewhat disappointing, but this is expected as the spotlight is largely on the two other more decorated matches that delivered. Punk Drew was brutality and storytelling to perfection. Even though the main event felt a bit dull it was just the usual Roman main event slow style, the Jimmy return was handled very well with the Rock return being the cherry on top. Overall the event delivered on their most important matches, making up huge for the lackluster mid-show"
[6.0] "Punk/Drew was amazing... Nia/Bayley was meh... Priest/Balor was average... Rhea/Liv was disappointing... Cody/Roman vs Bloodline was solid/good enough (post-match elevated).... overall the show was: underwhelming. Other than Punk/Drew and Cody/Roman and Bloodline, the other results were not there. Tried ending a bunch of long-standing feuds, but all these rivalries will more than likely carry on past this PLE (Drew will end up screwing Punk in match/championship down the road like he did for Drew). This card missed the mark, as a whole. Only one championship match and it was disappointing. Oh well..."
[6.0] "After the first match, the show really fell off, and the main event couldnt lift it back up. They could have added Gunther-Sami or replaced it with Finn-Damien to improve the match quality."
[6.0] "This was a very polarizing PLE, with only a single great match on it, while the rest ranged from average to awful. Said great match was also the opener, which effectively killed the crowd for the rest of the show until the main event. Hell in a Cell lived up to the hype; violent, uncomfortable, and gruesome. Punk wanted to restore the match to it's original prestige and him and succeeded with flying colors. Nia/Bayley was fine, appreciated Nia trying to diversify her moveset a bit, emphasis on "try". Felt too much like a retread of their Summerslam match tho. Finn/Damien was a RAW tv main event that was put on this show over the WHC title for some reason. It was fine, but had no business being here. Rhea/Liv was actually a decent match, but Dom in the cage took all of the attention from the ladies, combined with the botched ending and Raquel getting no reaction, it was a train wreck of a match. This feud has ran its course and it's actively damaging the credibility of both ladies now. Main event was a typical Bloodline match where the WWE Champion has to inexplicably play second fiddle in his own hometown. Match itself was good, especially towards the end, but it's hard to have a bad match with 3 good workers here (and Solo). Jimmy return and hug with Roman was a nice moment (Roman never having to answer for his actions and still being a hero is hilarious) and The Rock made his grand return. Oh and KO turned on Cody offscreen lol. Like I said, polarizing show; the good stuff is good, but the bad stuff is really really bad."
[5.0] "With the exception of the first match which wasn't the main event for...reasons...(you can say The Rock but all he did was walk out and walk back), this was any episode of Raw or Smackdown. Nothing terrible but nothing worth going out of your way to see either."
[6.0] "The Hell in a Cell was probably a 10/10 match, and after that it all went downhill. A bunch of mediocre matches and let's not talk about that liv v rhea finish. Thankfully, the main event was quite good and The Rock's return was nice."
[7.0] "When you look at the talent and storylines on the show, you'd believe this has the potential to be a 10, but they really dropped the ball with their shit booking. Nia vs Bayley were filled with sloppy spots and botches and was saved from disaster by the still-corny and repetitive MITB contract influence of Tiffy; cool let's stretch their damn story some more. Finn Balor is booked like a joke. Dude hits Priest with 3 finishers after getting help from two guys but the former champ immediately overcomes it, hits his own finisher once and BAM it's over. Rhea and Liv's match booking was utterly garbage let me not even talk about that. They were trying to divide TTvTJD results 1-1, but we got the wrong winners here. The main event was fine and a great atmosphere as well, ignoring two back-to-back bad and botched entrances by Cody and Roman. Jimmy and Rock coming back was also great which would upscale the Bloodline's story yet again. This show can only be regarded good because of the kick off. Drew McIntyre and CM Punk went to war and tore the house down. Hats off to Drew for giving his all, and carrying Punk to have an instant classic. I wanted Drew to win but him losing didn't feel like a loss at all. He has earned more respect and aura for himself now, his next chapter would be even badder and bigger."
[5.0] "Drew/Punk had lots of blood, creative use of weapons and some smart psychology. I really liked how there was always a weapon close by to use to get out of holds, as well as them rolling outside the ring at any sign of a potential pin. This Hell in the Cell match probably was somewhere around the middle, but still very enjoyable. The women's matches were fine. Rhea/Liv was the better one for me. The Shark Cage stip didn't really add much other than distractions. Rhea at least got a measure of revenge against Dom, if not the title. Priest/Balor was very satisfying, and finally there was the big time tag match, which delivered, although arguably the more exciting stuff happened post match."
[8.0] "WWE BAD BLOOD 2024 As Charlie Brown once said Another Halloween came and gone. I waited so much the return of this classic, I can remember vividly the vibes I got in July when at Money in the Bank they announced the return of Bad Blood. I hate summer, it was hot as fuck and I dremed about the colder october weather. I thougt this would have been one of my favorite WWE PLEs ever, also because its my birthday weekend so it was perfect. It give me so much good vibes because it remind me of the younger me that watched bad blood 1997 at least 10 times on WWE Network. I loved the Cody and Metro videos getting to the event and the Cody arrival with that old ford. Really classic and old schools something of Attitude that I loved. So the whole presentation of the show was phenomenal, the arena was once again jam packed, giving prove of how big WWE is becoming and how big it will become in 2025 with the Netflix deal that will make WWE accessible in every home, this WWE, the best version of WWE lead by HHH and not by that old "baby boomer" pervert I loved the phyros and the enviroment, something that has not been seen in WWE Recently. Also God Bless America was beautiful to hear. I want to talk mostly about the Hell in a Cell Match: What about the opener? I would say this is the best opener ever in the history of WWE, but this would be a lie and I explain you why later. CM Punk gave us prove of why he can still to this day claim the name of Best in the World. I grew up a huge fan of him, but both in AEW and now in WWE I thought that his wrestling style was a little to much outdated for the nowdays standards (have you ever heard of a guy called Will Ospreay lol). As an athletic ability he is not the guy he was 15 years ago, but what makes him the best in the world is his increbile and beautiful mind, and creativity, the ability maybe to create a classic not doing nothing of spectacular in the ring. And if in a singles match his menus becomes more evident, in a match like this, in a story like this he can give you prove that there is no one like him in storytelling and drama. I loved all the brutal way he inflicted pain on Drew, how he used the table, how he botched the double axe handle but created a new sequence. And of course all the counters and reversals that led to the End of the match with that marvelous GTS (for a second I thought he was going to use the Shining Wizard but in a WWE landscape it is not easy connect with that). He is still the best and gave us prove. This is his second best match since his return to pro wrestling back in 2021, second only to the marvelous Dog Collar match he had with Maxwell at Revolution 2022, I was there in Orlando and you cant top that. He is still my hero. I dont understand how journalists in the press confercence can focus on stupid questions about dollars and contracts deals and not asking about the permission HHH gave to both artists to bleed during the match Almost perfect match. Spekaing about what I wrote in the beginning: the only bad thing about this match is that it was not the main event this is what I hate about WWE, the fact that if a part timer like Dwayne that every true Wrestling Fans dont want to see and that the Wrestling World does not really need comes out you have to put the Tag team match in the Main Event and not allowing Punk and Drew to close the show, baasically putting a big roadblock on the guys that went out after them and putting on an how can you follow that that is impossible to reach for the next of the card and that killed the attention on anithing that came after. This has been the best year in the history of Pro Wrestling and for me it is harder than ever to give the award of match of the year in this 2024, I was there for Cody vs Styles in Lyon or for Danielson vs Swerve in Wembley; we saw in WWE Cody vs Roman, the Gunther matches, The bloody feud between Bloodline and Cody in all its forms; in AEW we saw Sting last match, all the amazing Ospreays matches with Takeshita, Danielson, Swerve, MJF, Pac etc and this Cell match could be for my taste the best match this year if it wasnt for it being the opener HHH is doing an amazing job but should be in Jail for this its a crime against Wrestling Fans. Finally, "connecting the dots", it's surprising to know that Drew's FIRST PLE match took place at Hell in a Cell 2009, on the FIRST Hell in a Cell PPV ever, the night CM Punk opened the show by competing for his FIRST Hell in a Cell in a Cell, against Undertaker, the legend synonymous with Hell in a Cell, and the man who competed in the FIRST Hell in a Cell... If you believe in destiny like I do, there was a fate in which these two competed within the Cellule against each other at some point in their careers"
[3.0] "The only match on the 5 match card worth watching was the Punk/Drew matchwwe said less is more when it comes to their PLEs so having fewer matches meant more? More ads, more dead time, what are we doing here where Nia is champ and just so boring in the ring, Bart deserves better, just have tiff cash in already. Im pretty over the drew/finn feud, match was a dud, the whole Priest main roster has been a dud aside from his matches with bad bunny and Guntherzero words for that Rhea/liv match, other than can we just stop with Dom, I dont get it its so bad plus that botched endingits crazy that out of the Main event Jacob Fatu was the best out of the 4, Cody plays a minor role in this whole feud with the bloodline, I really dont know how you have 3.5 hour ple and the matches were below par and think it was great cause the Rock showed up at the end."
[6.0] "A very mixed bag pay-per-view here from beginning to end. We get a lot of good and a lot of bad within this show. Their was a lot of hype surrounding this show so it being like this was a slight disappointer. The opener between CM Punk & Drew McIntyre was one of the best Hell in a Cell matches in years and the best CM Punk match we've got since him and MJF battled back in 2022. Nia Jax and Bayley impressed and managed to overstep expectations and add new layers to the conflict between Tiffany and Nia. Balor vs. Priest felt very TV. It didn't have the big feel that WWE wanted it to have unfortunately. The ending was also pretty weak and made the Judgment Day look horrible. The announcement of the Crown Jewel Championship was very lackluster and forced. The crowd didn't care and even after the fact nobody really cared and Goldberg looked the best coming out of this! Liv vs. Rhea had to be one of the worst women's wrestling match of 2024 so far. The horrendus booking focusing only on Dom and the poorly timed ending hampered this so badly, I feel like it KILLED the feud. The main event managed to be the second best of the night and had layers of story with Jimmy Uso returning and then Cody and Roman having each other's back! The Rock returning was a welcome surprise and made the Bloodline story once again interesting! [***1/4]"
[6.0] "I enjoyed the PPV I thought it was okay. The Hell in a Cell finally going back to the classic silver and not red. CM Punk and Drew definitely a classic match and a match that should have main evented tbh. The next 3 matches were all tv matches if we being real they weren't the worst matches besides the Rhea vs Liv match which was terrible. The main event tag team match I enjoyed and it was really solid match. I was originally going to give this PPV a 7/10 but honestly looking back its really a 6/10. The cons being its too predictable and besides the Punk vs Drew match really there was no other reason to watch this PPV, WWE does need to move on and start making other storylines like the Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton storyline is moving forward but they are still other storylines that are going on and need to end like the Liv Morgan and rhea Ripley, Cody Rhodes title reign has been really boring there was no real explanation for why he teamed up with Roman it didn't make sense I am excited that he is wrestling Gunther but its really obvious that Kevin Owens is gonna interfere and make Cody lose, Cody needs to stay away from the bloodline and needs Randy to turn heel or even Cody himself to turn heel considering his best Title reign in ROH was when he was a heel. Overall the only reason why you should watch this PPV is the Cm punk vs Drew match."
[4.0] "Let us remember WWE Bad Blood as a showcase of contrasting extremes, as this show highlighted the promotion at both its best and worst. On the high, a fantastic opener inside Hell In A Cell that is sure to appear on many a "Match of the Year" list come December, and a solid main event that sets us up for the future of the company and the plans to come. On the low, basically everything else about this event. Nia Jax and Bayley delivered their best match as a pairing, which was still very slow and plodding. Damien Priest and Finn Balor delivered an okay match as well, but it felt lacking in heat and intensity. And the match between Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley was, quite frankly, a disaster and may end up on more than a few lists for "Worst Match of the Year". The reveal of the "Crown Jewel" belts was laughable and garnered deserved booing from the otherwise surprisingly low-key Atlanta crowd. I hate to say it, but barring the Rock returning and the Hell In A Cell match, I was left feeling this could have just been a good TV episode. The fact that they seemingly failed a full pay-per-view gives me pause for substantial concern going forward, but I suppose we must keep our fingers crossed."
[6.0] "It's funny how they had both the best and worst WWE match of the year in the same PPV. Drew vs. Punk should have definitely been the main event, especially when the actual main event was slow and dull. We all know it was only the main event because of Rocky's return. Priest vs. Balor and Jax vs. Bayley weren't that memorable, and Ripley vs. Morgan completely sucked. The segments were alright, I guess. Gunther's mic skills have improved a lot, but I'm not a fan of getting Goldberg involved in this"
[5.0] "[5] This is a difficult one to rate in my opinion. Punk vs Drew was a fantastic match that quite easily exceeded my expectations (admittedly they weren't too high after the first two matches). It is probably one of the best HIAC matches in years. However, everything else on the card was severely lacking. Both women's matches were poor and the main event was underwhelming."
[5.0] "The opening match was a work of art. I could watch that match a dozen times and still enjoy it. Everything else was bang average to awful. Such a disappointing end considering how great the opener was."
[4.0] "The opener was a match of the year contender and what the Punk/Drew feud needed. Other than that it was a poor PPV and very much a one match show. There were just too many run-ins and a DQ finish at a PPV in 2024 isn't really acceptable. Priest/Balor was OK but I question whether Priest needed the win. Jax/Bayley wasn't good at all though. The main event was decent enough and The Rock's return got a big pop but he needs to leave that silly Brahma Bull title at home. Speaking of silly titles, by far the worst moment of the show was the introduction of the Crown Jewel Championship. The Saudi relationship is a massive bloody stain on the company. They don't get anywhere near enough criticism for their deal with a brutal dictatorship. We also don't need a Goldberg match in 2024."
[6.0] "This was overall a halfway fine ppv. Cm Punk and Drew was Bad Blood, and if you were to watch just one match it should be that one. The other matches were relatively meh, with the Liv and Rhea match being one of the worst matches Ive ever seen."
[8.0] "A rather unbalanced PLE between this excellent opener, a good clash between Finn and Damian and three rather disappointing matches for different reasons. The main event didn't deserve its place on the card, and the two women's matches were marred by poor in-ring quality in the first and poor overbooking in the second. Outside the ring, a lot happened. The Rock's surprise appearance was obviously memorable, even if it will probably only be a 10-second visit of little consequence in the weeks to come. The return of Jimmy and Raquel is a pleasure, but the former did it in a much more successful way than the latter. Finally, Tiffy's real fake cash-in was expected, but it added a little spice to a bland match. Finally, while I find the idea of a new title tainted with blood to please the Saudi rulers terribly lame - politically but also creatively - the interaction between Goldberg and Gunther made for a slightly less pitiful moment. In-ring quality: 2.75/4; Angles: 1.75/2; Bonus/Malus: The bogus title to please the bloodthirsty Saudi autocrats -0.5. Total: 8/10. Show seen on the WWE Network."
[5.0] "Straight down the middle, this show was saved completely by Punk vs Drew and the Main Event, nearly everything else relating to this show was not good unfortunately. Punk vs Drew was amazing, one of the best matches of this year and got us off to a big start, however we fell flat on our faces straight after with Bayley vs Nia Jax, botches galore, same sort of match as summerslam, this wasn't something I'd go out of my way to watch. Can I also point out that Bianca and Jade were introduced as the hosts to this event and got about 3 minutes in the ring, poor ladies as underutilised as ever. Priest vs Balor was boring with a confusing ending which means this feud is unfortunately continuing. Triple H made his announcement, More blood money titles that will never be seen again after Crown Jewel. Also beyond stupid to make a poster of Gunther Vs Cody and release it before the Gunther vs Zayn match on Raw (Which with hindsight was better than 80% of this match card.) Goldberg getting a cheap pop in a place where he is loved is nice for him, but I swear to god if this means he's getting 1 more match then it better either be 1) A squash loss against Gunther or 2) A squash loss against Bron Breakker, I do not want to see anything else from Goldberg. Also this announcement turned out to be even stupider with later results and turns in the show but I'll come back to them later. Liv vs Rhea was next and I hope to god this is the last match they have, this sucked, this whole storyline is god-awful and I really cannot wait for Rhea to do anything else. Botched ending with Raquel coming back... yay.... Main Event was fine, some shocking returns which were fun, and a way to send fans home happy, Cody got a live entrance and it was again, like most of this show - bad. Finally after the main event, fan footage came out of Kevin Owens turning heel on Cody Rhodes in the parking lot. Now this is stupid. Cody vs Gunther confirmed for Crown Jewel, so why are we building up the feud between Kevin and Cody? Kevin won't get his hands on Cody until Survivor Series, but with Cody maybe being in WarGames it might even be later than that! Kevin turning isn't stupid but Crown Jewel is. Liv vs Nia Jax is not a match I want to see, especially on a PLE that will only have 5 matches, Women's storylines get neglected enough as it is, so the champion vs champion feels even more of a kick in the face, Hopefully Tiffany cashes in, that'd be the only saving grace. Weekly TV wise, WWE is boring me, the storylines aren't strong and on top of that they drag out for months longer than need be. It's a chore to get through sometimes, and although I get excited to see new storylines start to develop, that wears off fast when I realise it's going to be months before anything happens with it. Take Pete Dunne vs Sheamus for an example, they started their feud 3 months ago and its still going on! To me it just outlines that they have nothing new for people to be doing so stick the same thing on time after time, week after week. and it would be FINE if these feuds went on so long and then we were able to have them have actual wrestling matches but NO! Constant interferences just make 90% of rivalries in WWE disinteresting, hell they managed to make me desperately WANT the Punk vs Drew feud to end. It's been a really rough year creatively for WWE in my opinion and it's showing no sign of improving, to me NXT makes for a more compelling watch every week, and they outdo them on the PLE's too."
[6.0] "An excellent opener that should have been the main event of the evening. Punk/Drew gave it their all, one of the best Hell in a Cell matches of the last 10 years. The rest of the card was pretty uninteresting. Shameful to throw Cody & Reigns vs the Bloodline in the main event just to get us back The Rock for 10 seconds looking at the ring. That was Smackdown level."
[7.0] "My rating for WWE Bad Blood it's a 7/10, a event that was great. Starting with the Drew vs Punk Match which deserves 5 stars definitely, then the rest of matches were great but I felt them like the same but with different stuff, It wasn't bad because those matches were okay, the low point is the announcement of that belt for Crown Jewel which literally, needed to be the women's Midcard Titles, and then Goldberg and they give us a possible Goldberg vs Gunther, don't you dare Triple H of making the same horrible results like Vince who did it with The Fiend and Kevin Owens and almost Drew. Back to the event It was great 7/10"
[6.0] "[6.0] Punk vs Drew - 10/10... Nia vs Bayley - 3/10... Finn vs Damien - 7/10... Liv vs Rhea - 5/10... Roman & Cody vs Solo & Jacob - 6/10... This was a decent PLE. It definitely could have been a little better. Felt like they opened with the main event and followed it up with a nice Smackdown. The biggest fault was opening this with Punk vs Drew. How the fuck are you going to top that? And that is the reason why Finn vs Damien felt so hollow. But I totally understand the placement of matches. Rock is a board member and has crazy pull so of course he was going to finish the show. But it hurt the PLE. Imagine the tag match opening the show and then Finn vs Damien taking place in the middle and Punk vs Drew finishing their trilogy with an all time great Hell in a Cell match. That'd have been perfect... Punk vs Drew seemed like a definitive end to their amazing rivalry. Excited for Punk's new feud... Nia and Tiffany is an interesting future feud. Don't know what's the plan for Bayley but she is looking really vland as of right now.. Finn vs Damien is definitely continuing further.. Liv vs Rhea has now Raquel involved as Liv's heater. Most probably plan is Rhea vs Raquel and then Rhea taking back her championship.. Roman is going to be involved in Survivor Series against Solo's Bloodline. Lineup look like Bloodline and Rock vs Roman, Usos, Cody and Sami... I never felt bored during this show except for Bayley vs Nia. But yeah the Raquel botch shouldn't have happened and the main event should have been a little better in the ring... I forgot about the whole Goldberg and Gunther segment. That was so fucking funny and entertaining. Gunther is a top class troll on the mic and the way he gets under crowd's skin is legit very funny to watch. Sami and Gunther brawled afterwards. That was a 10/10 segment barring Triple H glazing Saudi. He was surprised when crowd barely reacted to his Saudi announcement..."
[4.0] "I am going to be completely transparent, Bad Blood was a one-match show. The Hell in a Cell match between CM Punk.and Drew McIntyre was a return to the dangerous and very bloody form of the stipulation. The rest of the card ranged from perfectly fine to pretty freaking stupid. The Women's Championship match between Nia Jax and Bayley and the bout between Damian Priest and Finn Balor was perfectly serviceable although the former had a few missteps. The Women's World Title match between Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan was just not plain good. I enjoyed seeing Dominik squirm in the shark cage but the match completely fell apart. Raquel Rodriguez made her return to seemingly assist Liv with retaining, but the match ended in a flat DQ finish. The segment announcing the Crown Jewel Championship went over like a wet fart and the main event was more standard Bloodline bullocks. I did like seeing Jimmy return and reunite with Roman but I think Bloodline fatigue is starting to develop again. No amount of Dwayne Johnson will change that. This would be the absolute worst PLE offering if it wasn't for the Hell in a Cell."
[5.0] "Overall, Bad Blood was an average PLE and only Hell in a Cell saved this from being a bad PLE. There's like nothing more to add to it, just it was average at best."
[6.0] "The PPV opens with the MOTN, which is an odd choice, in retrospect; this definitely should have main evented over the dreadful, molasses-slow Bloodline match. Punk & McIntyre set the building on fire with a nasty, mean spirited brawl, & I could have done with even a couple more matches between these two; their chemistry is just beautiful to watch. On that note, Jax's match wasn't up to that level, at all. WWE really needs to instruct to Jax that she can't be plopping about with no sense of purpose like this in any match, let alone a PPV match. Priest & Balor redeem the event with an excellent mid-card affair, & I look forward to where this Judgment Day storyline heads next. I don't understand the rating on this Rhea/Liv match. It was really cooking before the interference angle. WWE employs shitty, poorly-written interference in almost every episode, so why is it that when Raquel Rodriguez does one, it's suddenly worse than a public decapitation? Speaking of public decapitations, LaVesque absolutely deserved the opening jeers, utter silence, & extremely light, embarrassed applause upon revealing the new Blood Money Title. This news injects a fatal dose of bad blood into the public perception professional wrestling, especially in today's exponentially volatile political climate, & Gunther deserved better than to be seen so much as occupying the same planet as this piece of shit. I hope it's universally rejected, retired quickly & with disdain. I'm weirdly excited for Gunther vs. Goldberg, though. Overall, this PPV was nothing to write home about, but is ultimately more than acceptable."
[5.0] "It had a lot of potential but honestly disappointed alot. The only true good match was CM vs Drew and you take that and the tag match away and it's the worse than Stomping Grounds 2019 and any of the "worst" ples.Morgan vs Ripley was terrible, Rodriguez returns to a lesser pop than if I were to show up in the middle of a WWE match and let's get to the "crazy, groundbreaking, game changing" announcement from HHH.Its just a stupid Saudi thing.Really Paul, Really, you get me so so excited for that. And by the way that title looks terrible, like an AEW title from wish.com.Does the game not realise how stupid this is as a concept, no, no, probably not because of the massive paycheck he will get from the Saudis for this. And then we get Gunther and Oldberg to a grand pop, I'm sorry but what's wrong with US fans nobody likes him and he didnt do anything, got roasted by Gunther, botched jumping over the barrier and stood with security like hes one of the guards.Lets be real this next Raw with the 2 title matches might be better.I mean the notable and best parts were Jimmy Uso and the Rock which I popped for and the absolute bloodbath between CM and Drew. The Rock confused me though not saying anything and doing a hand gesture, might have been too tired to notice tbf.Overall, just a really mid show and can already expect that for Crown Jewel"
[5.0] "A show which starts off very strong but then almost immediately takes a nosedive in quality after the opening match. Not to say all of the other matches are bad; Nia v Bayley was solid, the main event was pretty good and for as mediocre as the Priest v Finn match was, it was far from terrible. Liv v Rhea was a genuine dumpster fire though, completely irredeemable match with the most fucked up finish that I've seen all year. There's also an announcement from Triple H on this show which is that at Crown Jewel, both world champions of the men's and women's divisions will fight for the blood money title or something. I'm pretty accustomed to Saudi shows having a bunch of weird shit on them but this is just bad from a booking perspective, like why would you book both world champions tonl have a match in which one of the will come out looking far more inferior in defeat? It's basically the same problem that the champion vs champion matches at Survivor Series had, in that it made the losing world champ look completely secondary. Basically just a very stupid idea, but anything to appease the Saudi king i guess. Overall, this wasn't a particularly great show outside of the incredible opening match which is definitely up there as one of the best of the year. Everything else is skippable, except maybe the main event. MOTN - CM Punk v Drew McIntyre"
[1.0] "1 good match and from there it is nothing but garbage. They had every flavour of terrible match on this card, a complete botchfest between Nia and Bayley, a nothingburger TV match between Damian and Finn, a match overbooked to shit between Liv and Rhea, and then a good old fashioned boring as hell bloodline match. Every match after the first had some sort of run in and eventually it just became annoying and frustrating. This was by far WWE's worst show of the year and I do not think it is very close. Awful choice to not have the cell match go last too."
[7.0] "This was a good PLE, obviously the opener increases a lot the rating, it was one of the best matches of all time, that absolutely recovered the essence of Hell in a Cell matches, truly beautiful to watch, but we had some other interesting stuff as well, the main event was super fun, it's a shame that Gunther vs Zayn wasn't on the show, it would've made it a lot better. It's also pretty lame in my opinion that this lasted 3:30 hours and had only 5 matches... a lot of commercials, insanity. I disagreed with a lot of things here, but Punk and Drew absolutely carried into a good balance overall."
[8.0] "Great show! CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre was a 5-Star classic! Nia Jax vs. Bayley was mediocre, with a false cash-in. Triple H announces Crown Jewel championship. Rhea Ripley vs. Liv Morgan is a bit underwhelming, but still is fine. A return from Raquel Rodriguez was something I wasn't expecting. Roman Reigns & Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu was amazing! The return of Jimmy Uso was awesome! The Rock's return at the end was a genuine surprise. A really eventful PPV with a whole load of surprises! 8/10"
[5.0] ""Who cares about how much time there is between matches? ! ? ! ? ! " Me. I do. These 5 match cards may be good for geriatrics with a 7PM bedtime, but I am left unimpressed. 40 mins between matches isn't letting a match breathe. It's because you have promised the show to your investors, not your talent. And that is a major problem for me, a wrestling fan who appreciates the talent and how they give their bodies and livelihoods to us. This hasn't been a formula that works for me, and I do not walk away from these WWE shows feeling satisfied. Not one. Plus, I genuinely disliked all but two matches on this card. And, I didn't love the Cell match. It was good. But anytime a 50 year old walking personification of the word "brittle" is beating one of your monster talents who dwarfs them in size, and has gotten himself over organically over the past couple of years, we have issues."
[6.0] "Probably the weakest PLE since HHH took over... Punk vs Drew was a great match, but it should have been the main event. Everything after it felt stale in comparison, specially with the weird botches in the women's matches. And even if the match was the main event, it could hardly save the show from all of the other, honestly mediocre matches. Bayley and Nia was bland. Damian and Finn was fine but the wrong man won. Rhea and Liv was good until the mess in the ending. The tag match was just another bloodline match that was way longer than it should be with a bunch of shenanigans to build the story, which isn't necessarly bad, just don't earn it the main event spot. Yes, even with the surprise returns."
[6.0] "This was basically a one match show, with one of the best cell matches of all time opening. The rest of the matches were ok, with nothing truly bad in my opinion. The non-match segments, including one with Gunther and Goldberg, are good and there are some fun party segments with the event's hosts. There were tons of rappers and former wrestlers attending; it was cool to see Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard. A fun show to watch but I don't see myself revisiting it anytime soon."
[5.0] "So everyones gonna be talking about the big return at the end along with the opener which might just be the best WWE match this decade, and those were truly excellent moments. But remove those and this wasnt very good at all. This is probably the worst match Ive seen Rhea Ripley have since I started watching WWE regularly again, with one of the worst finishes in recent memory. Rest of the card was just mid. Very good Damien/Finn match, solid if samey Bayley/Nia match, and a Bloodline by numbers main event, albeit with good moments. Enjoyed the random Gunther/Goldberg segment in the middle too. Carried hard by its opener, but that was a good enough match to leave me lightly positive overall."
[6.0] "Good, tight fun for the most part. They tried to push Nia too far, but apart from that the standard of performance was high. I've no interest in Punk and Drew's heat, which seems to be why people are loving it, as the match itself did nothing new. Finn/Priest and Rhea/Liv showed strong in-ring chemistry, but no individual show-stealing performances."
[7.0] "The event kicked off with a phenomenal Hell in a Cell match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre, easily one of the best in recent memory, and honestly, it was great enough to be the main event. It felt like a mockery of the fans when Triple H made it an opener just to set up The Rock's appearance in the main event. Unfortunately, the rest of the card fell flat; Nia Jax vs. Bayley felt repetitive and lacking impact, while Damian Priest vs. Finn Balor failed to deliver the intensity expected from a grudge match. Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley ended disappointingly with a chaotic DQ finish that added confusion rather than excitement. The main event featuring Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns was entertaining but suffered from pacing issues, despite the exciting return of Jimmy Uso. Overall, while the opener shone, the rest of the show was not at the level expected, leaving fans feeling underwhelmed. But I'm sure if CM Punk and Drew McIntyre headlined the main event, the rating of the show would have gone up a lot. But what do you say to the Samoan Royal Family? !"
[4.0] "The opening Hell in a Cell match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre was incredible. They exceeded already high expectations to cap off what has been hands down the best feud of the year. They beat the hell out of each other in a brutal, bloody fight. One of the best HIAC matches ever and a MOTY contender. An instant classic (10/10). Nia vs Bayley for the Women's title was okay. A lot of sloppy spots. They did the same finish as their SummerSlam match with Tiffany teasing a cash-in and Nia retaining. Hopefully the story can move along to something interesting now (4.5/10). Priest vs Balor was decent. Didn't feel like a big grudge match. Typical Judgment Day shenanigans with Priest overcoming the odds for the win. Balor came across really weak here (5/10). Gunther coming out and talking trash to Goldberg was a lot of fun, that might lead to something interesting. Liv vs Rhea for the Women's World title sucked. They were going through the motions until the terrible finish where Raquel interfered and the match ended in a DQ. This feud is just dragging on at this point. Terrible (0/10). Cody/Roman vs Solo/Jacob Fatu in the main event was fine. A typical Bloodline match where it takes a long time to get going. There wasn't any one thing that stood out until the end when Jimmy Uso made his return to help Roman and Cody win. After the match, The Rock made his return as well to close the show (5/10). Bad Blood started off with one of the best matches of the year, had one of the worst matches of the year and the rest wasn't anything special. Not a good PLE. 4/10"
"[5.0] very good opening match good classic hell in a cell .middle of the card was like watching a raw or smackdown very underwhelming nothing notable very skippable.the main event was ok but felt like it was there just for the rock to return boring in pace I think the hell in cell should have main evented it was the better match.the rocks return was good but knew it was coming .this was a very flat b level PLE apart from the hell in a cell that is a must watch, but everything else don't bother."
[5.0] "Besides the opener being a potential all-time classic, the rest of the show was just solid to unfortunate. Punk/Drew is absolutely incredible and one of the best cell matches they've ever done. Nia/Bayley was perfectly fine, although I don't love the story surrounding it. Finn/Priest was well worked, if relatively uneventful. Rhea/Liv is acceptable mostly until the rough finish. Return was botched to hell and fell so flat it hurt. The main event tag was pretty good for a Bloodline tag in 2024. Dwayne's return was fantastic. Not the worst show of the year by any means, but doesn't really standout either."
[7.0] "I was of course glad that they brought the rock, but objectively speaking, except for the opening match they didn't show us anything super cool, just a good show with a couple of good matches. I expected more from the main event, but it turned out as it did"
[6.0] "This was a weirdly structured show they had the main event start the show then to just have a bunch of average matches follow it up was such a random choice. You usually want to end with the match with the greatest potential then have your descent matches start the show to set the tone that the show will get better as it goes. especially considering that every match had some sort of interference in it outside of that match those hampering the matches. That is cool if it was 2 of the matches but not 4 of the 5 matches."
"[5.0] The Hell In A Cell is the match of the year. Hands down one of CM Punk's best matches ever, as well as Drew McIntyre's. I watched while driving home and it was well worth the watch. I am still reeling from the match. A wise individual would not have booked this match to open the show, but we are talking about WWE's booker here, so this is not shocking. Now here is where it starts to go downhill. Nia Jax and Bayley...tried to follow that match, but it was impossible. I will say it was the better of the two women's matches on the card, but that is not a very high bar to clear. They wrestled and did not try to phone it in, so kudos to them. Another false cash-in by Tiffany Stratton, yay. Moving along to Damian Priest and Finn Balor. I thought it was an okay match. It could have main-evented a random Raw, and still been meh because The New Judgment Day or Street Trash, will always interfere. Triple H then underdelivers on a very important announcement that NO ONE WANTED. Give the women a mid-card title! Anyways, we get to the match I had hoped would turn the tide in such a woefully booked feud. I was foolish to think so. Both Liv Morgan (w/Dominik Mysterio) and Rhea Ripley make their entrances, Dom goes in the cage, the match starts. The in-ring work again was okay. These ladies have chemistry and can both wrestle if given the opportunity. Here is where I get frustrated. Liv Morgan looked very good throughout this match. Rhea is selling as always, but Liv is dominating for the most part. As it appears we're finally about to hit second gear, people appear to start going into business for themselves. That or one of the higher ups is mad at this story, and wants to embarrass everyone involved, and screw the fans in one fell swoop. That is the only rational reason I can come up with as nothing that follows Dominik escaping the shark cage makes sense. Rhea Ripley, the once most dominate woman on the roster, leaves the ring to go and hit Dominik Mysterio with a kendo stick. WHY. Fine, let's move past that. In the midst of that happening, Raquel Rodriguez makes her long awaited return to no pop, and absolutely botches her own return. NO WORDS. I urge people to go back and watch this entire exchange. The referee puts on a hilarious performance trying to ignore what took place in front of him. He then has to call a DQ because he sees Raquel Rodriguez attack Rhea Ripley. I do not blame him for that because that is his job. As the person doing the interfering, Raquel Rodriguez is tasked with making sure the referee does not see her. This is where her instincts should come into play and she should pivot on the spot. This is just one of the instances where wrestlers are "sticking to the script" more than they are relying on their instincts. Everything afterwards is just a heap of mess. There was so much confusion. I did not even hear the bell ring because I was still trying to understand what was going on with the referee and Raquel Rodriguez. Raquel Rodriguez then tries to place Liv Morgan on top of Rhea Ripley for the pin, even though the match was over. LORD HAVE MERCY. All in all, bad OVERBOOKING leading to a lackluster match. I fear Rhea Ripley may not survive this feud. Post injury, she has not been The Eradicator or The Nightmare. I am not sure who she is anymore, but time will tell. We finally get to the main event which honestly should have opened the show. The Rock's return did not justify CM Punk and Drew McIntyre opening the show. This will go down as one of the worst booking decisions by Triple H but, what else is new? Cody Rhodes' entrance was botched, and even though he is the Undisputed WWE Champion AND this is his hometown, he makes his entrance before Roman Reigns. WHAT. Anyways, in typical Bloodline fashion, there is a lot of staring and acting before we get to the wrestling. I actually enjoyed the match. Roman Reigns' big dog move set is slowly creeping in, and the crowd is alive for this match. The true return of the night is Jimmy Uso, who comes to Roman Reigns' aide to help him defeat Bloodline 2.0. They have a warm embrace afterwards, which was much needed given what this audience sat through earlier in the night. Roman Reigns tells Cody Rhodes that he kept his word. Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso make their leave, but Bloodline 2.0 beat up Cody Rhodes. At this point we are all awaiting The Rock's return, which happens after Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso rescue Cody Rhodes. The Rock returns and stares down what appears to be both Roman Reigns or Cody Rhodes. Honestly, I am not sure, but we will see. All in all, this should have been WWE's PLE of the year because almost every feud mattered. It was such a letdown in so many different ways. I may need a break from wrestling."
[8.0] "I liked Bad Blood, definitely a show of ups and downs, with the highs being very high and the lows being very low, you have to give credit to WWE for managing to put on the company's best and worst match of the year on the same show. Let's go to the positives first, Punk vs. Drew went down in history with one of the best HIAC matches in history and the stipulation becomes important again, Gunther's promo on Goldberg was really cool and The Rock's return was a good end to the show, which ended up justifying the match most important of the night be the opening, Damian vs. Finn and the tag match were ok, and now let's get to the low points, the two matches for the women's titles were bad, especially the match for the World Title, I also didn't like the announcement of Crown Jewel that it will be a Saudi Bragging Rights. I thought it was cool to have so many legends in the house and the atmosphere and production didn't even feel like a B-level PLE. Drew vs. Punk (****3/4), Nia vs. Bayley (**3/4), Priest vs. Balor (***1/2), Liv vs. Rhea (1/2*), Cody/Roman vs. Solo/Jacob (***1/2)"
[5.0] "[4.9] A 3/10, very up and down show saved by WWE's best match of the year and The Rock returning. The opening Hell in a Cell match is amazing, but everything else is downhill. Nia vs Bayley was extremely sloppy, Triple H came out to make a historic announcement that ended up just being that they made the Champion of Champions belt from SvR2011 real, Priest vs Balor was better but had a poor build and unnecessary interference, Rhea vs Liv had an incredibly botched ending and Raquel Rodriguez being the big game changer, and then a standard Bloodline main event where the surprise in the match is *Jimmy Uso*, and then the Rock returns after the match. Very mediocre show, thoroughly carried by its opener."
[5.0] "Aside for a few moments and one match - it's pretty much a filler PLE. The opener was amazing and saved the show for me, as it's probably one of the best HIAC matches WWE ever produced. The rest of the show, however, was awful. Rhea vs Liv was pretty bad even before an awful ending and the Main-Event was your another typical Bloodline match. The Rock and Jimmy returns were pretty cool though, so at least you can expect some cool things in a near future."
[4.0] "Spare a thought for Drew McIntyre's back, because if it wasn't bruised and battered from the stair spot already, then carrying the PLE on his back must clearly be causing him a lot of pain. Having one of the WWE's best matches of the year means the rating can't go too low, but at the same time, one match, no matter how good it is, can't save a PLE from mediocrity by itself. It's nearly eight years, to the day, since No Mercy 2016, a show that opened with one of the best matches of the year and was all downhill from there. But No Mercy had the presidential debate dictating the order of the card, and also that really good Miz/Ziggler match in the middle. Bad Blood 2024 only had office politics dictating the order, to its detriment. If Punk vs. McIntyre main-evented, then maybe we'd all walk away a little happier, but it didn't, so we ended up spending most of the evening waiting for a second wind that never came."
[6.0] "[***1/4] This is a tough PLE to judge because all its strengths are packed into the opening and closing segments (especially the former), while the middle of the card felt oddly placed and lacked impact. The opening Hell in a Cell match was nothing short of historic and an instant classic. It's bound to be remembered as one of the best, if not the best, match for both competitors. More importantly, it served as a reset for the Hell in a Cell stipulation, restoring the prestige it had lost. This match had everything and truly belonged at the end of the night, not just this PLE, but any PLE you could think of. Placing it as the opener created an awkward pacing and atmosphere for the rest of the event. Nothing that followed seemed to matter as much, at least until the main event. Even then, the impact of that first match lingered throughout the show, definitely in my mind. The middle of the card was a mess of poor finishes, sloppy action, and botches. None of those matches had any significant impact, and if they did, it was probably negative. The main event, however, delivered in a big way, bringing back some of the excitement. Cody and Roman, playing the modern-day Austin-Rock duo, teamed up against the new Bloodline in an explosive, superhero-like main event. Despite some pacing issues early on, the match delivered, and the returns of both Jimmy Uso and The Rock added a thrilling layer of excitement for the future of WWE and its storylines. Its hard to judge a PLE that features a masterpiece like Punk vs. Drew. That match alone was worth the price of admission and could have carried the whole event. Honestly, if the show had ended right after that match, I would have been completely satisfied. Without that match, this would be an entirely different conversation."
[6.0] "A tough event to evaluate. In my opinion, almost all the matches worked well. The PLE kicks off with the match between Punk and McIntyre, delivering an instant classicone of the best matches of the year, amazing both in terms of wrestling and storytelling, a true gem worth revisiting. Next, we had three entertaining matches, though I honestly expected more from the one between Balor and Priest. I hope this is just the first step in their feud because Im sure these two can do much better. The match between Rhea and Liv didnt seem catastrophic to me; in fact, before the finish, they were doing better than in their previous bout. The sudden ending left some confusion, but Im happy about Rodriguez's return, and I hope shell be the new member of the JD. The main event was a fun tag team match with an extremely interesting finish, opening the door to several scenarios for the mens main title. In conclusion, it was a good event, although still below my expectations."
[7.0] "Solid card overall, but Punk and Drew really should have been the main event. I understand why they chose the tag mag to go last, since Jimmy and the Rock both showed up, but that HIAC match was so damn good it was almost impossible to follow. Easily on of the best HIAC matches in a long time, even better than Seth vs Cody. Bayley and Nia was ok, and Priest vs Balor was also decent. Rhea and Liv was.........something. I like the addition of Raquel, but the execution was not good and kind of took the air out of that match."
[7.0] "First of all I was really disappointed that they opened it up with Punk vs Drew, because it took some edge of the rest of the card, but I guess The Rock's comeback had to close the show. Nevertheless the whole PPV was very good with some fantastic build ups that really hyped me up. The only stinker here was Bayley vs Nia, as Jax's horrendous, dangerous work was on full display here, plus Rhea vs Morgan had a botched finish, but at least they covered it up well, plus the work itself was decent. Everything else was really solid. The opener was the match of the night and it was the best Hell in a Cell Match since Taker vs Lesnar, maybe even just behind Shawn vs Taker. It felt like a fight, it wasn't a stupid spotfest a la Edge vs Taker and the return of the crimson mask added so much to the overall image of it. Also Priest vs Balor was a quality match, honestly a little better than I expected, plus the main event relied a lot on the star power and it was great to watch just for the reactions that everybody was getting. WWE once again showed that great builds can produce good matches alone and it's seriously something that I wasn't expecting to experience after so many horrible years of Vince's mindless booking."
"punk vs drew opening the show is ridiculous, their match was excellent, great spots with the table leg and the suplex off the apron. so much blood and by so far the match of the night and match of their feud. the women's title match was very poor, bailey tried to keep it up but nia was wrestling like her old style, the tifanny cash in tease also wasn't needed as it just made the match a complete re do of summerslam. the next match was also poor with an interference spot done in back to back matches, finn balor and the whole of judgment day looking very weak and overall a very stale feud. hhh then had a "massive" announcement... the crown jewel title. i absolutely hate how this segment was entertaining, fuck the saudi shows. hhh then obviously couldn't beat one of the terror twins so reah had to win... by dq. dom also managed to escape from the shark cage and was then hanging upside down with 0 explanation of how he did it, Raquel came out to no pop and the third interference spot in a row. the main event was presented well and was a very basic tag match done well, i just wish they delayed the big roman hot tag a bit. we then had even MORE interference before jimmy returning and getting the biggest pop of the night. Rock the dwayne was also there, looks like he is 100% gonna stay heel and thank god. 6.8/10"
"Punk vs Drew stole the show. Absolutely match of the year contender. Should have been the main event Its too hard to follow the banger match. Bayley vs Nia wasnt bad tbh Judgement day matches were disappointing tbh. Hopefully lifeless feud ends here. Main event was saved by Jimmy and Rock return. Owens heel turn was epic as well"
[6.0] "The line-up of the card only makes sense when you consider the final appearance of Dwayne Johnson. If the tag match had been the opener, The Rock's presence would have fizzled out by the end of the event. So in the now presented order we have a definite MOTY candidate right at the beginning, at least as far as the WWE performances are concerned. What happens way after that, however, is a disgrace for the actual show. It's perfectly understandable if the following matches can't come close to the HIAC, but what's served up here is crude to the point of being outrageous until the main event. In the end, however, at least the booking puzzle comes together, because with Rock and the two Bloodlines, perhaps even supplemented by Cody Rhodes or a surprise, there are some pretty interesting options for a War Games match at Survivor Series. Lots of light, at least as much shadow on this show. But Punk vs. McIntyre is pretty much a must-see."
[6.0] "A solid show thats bookended by two matches where one was fantastic and the other was solid and entertaining. The middle was where things got dull. Sadly, the two womens matches were subpar to bad at best. A lot of botches and confusing story beats. Jax retaining against Bayley and Liv retaining against Rhea is fine butI enjoyed their SummerSlam matches far more. The shark cage aspect for the Womens World title seemed fun but then Dom fell and the quality fell along with him. Raquel coming in to attack Rhea works but the DQ finish makes this feud feel like its far from over and makes Liv look weak. No one came out of that match looking good or better than they did walking in. Rhea choosing to beat Dom with the kendo stick instead of just winning the match and THEN beating him up seems out of character for her. I was fully expecting her to hit Dom with a Riptidesince thats been teased for monthsbut still lose. Instead, we got what we got. Priest vs Bálor was a solid match that continues to cement Finn as a loser who, alongside the new Judgment Day, get beat up by Priest constantly. Im sure they can heat this up again and give Bálor momentum but his place on the card seems like itll never change. Babyface Priest is awesome but a loss hear wouldnt have hurt him one bit and wouldve finally given Finn a meaningful win before Priest ultimately gets his revenge. The Bloodline vs Roman/Rhodes was good and Jimmy got a great reaction which was nice to hear and see. Jacob Fatu is going to be a breakout star and the post match stuff teased a lot of different things and potential stories for the rest of 2024 and even 2025. HIAC was fantastic and both guys deserve praise. The best match of their trilogy and what should have main evented the show (a hill Ill forever die on whether The Rock appeared or not where has that match happened earlier in the show then it wouldve driven interest and intrigue heading into the main event). The build to this was great and didnt even have the title on the line which is refreshing for WWE. I love that Triple H has been able to do that. The Crown Jewel announcement is interesting and I cant believe GUNTHER got me excited for a potential Goldberg match. Champion vs Champion makes this feel like it shouldve just been called Clash of Champions and the new title gives Greatest Royal Rumble championship vibes but I am intrigued. Wouldnt be shocked if Goldberg costs GUNTHER that match as he always gets a great reaction in Saudi Arabia. Overall, Bad Blood was fine and on the level as most PLEs in between the bigger ones."
[7.0] "Not that bad of a BLE as people argues. An all-time classic and one of the greatest hell in a cell or arguably one of the greatest matches of all time opener that carried the whole show. Followed by three bathroom-break matches but they were not stinkers Gunther/Goldberg segment was fun. I think the main event is underrated. It was a big match that concluded with Jimmy's return and then The Final Boss which they were great."
[7.0] "A very rough show saved, in my opinion, by its closer and (more so) its opener. Whether it was that god-awful hurricanrana by Nia Jax, a Finn-Priest match that I just never got into, a new Saudi title announced by HHH that got 0 pop from the crowd, an incredibly botched finish with Raquel Rodriguez, or production screwing up Cody's entrance with a marching band that didn't know wtf was going on. Luckily, I enjoyed the main event, and the HIAC match is my personal Match of the Year as of right now."
[4.0] "Eine one match show. Alles was nach dem Opener kam war entweder absoluter Booking Unsinn (siehe Damian/Finn) oder verbotcht (Nia/Bayley & Rhea/Liv beim Finish). Zusätzoich dazu kommt ein fürchterlich langweiliger Main Event mit nutzlosem Rock Comeback am Ende. Und diese künstliche Cinema Schublade darf die WWE ganz schnell mal wieder schließen. Man will doch wirklich Wrestling sehen."
"[6.0] Bad Blood was basically a one match show. It is just the Hell in a Cell opener between Drew and Punk. It's a great match to conclude a long, uneven feud, but there will be people who believe the wrong person won in the end. Everything else on this show was either meh or nonsense, which is very disappointing considering how much this show was built up and how many Hall of Famers and big names were in attendance. Nia and Bayley was nothing special and was crying out for a MITB cash-in by Tiffany, but they refused to do it. Priest and Finn was disappointing considering how good both of these performers are. Doubtful Finn will be a main event guy again, but at least Priest can potentially continue on as a babyface. Rhea and Liv is a one spot match. It is just Dom dangling from the cage so Rhea can beat him up (the fact that he was even able to escape the cage in the first place defeats the purpose of the match stipulation, which is annoying in and of itself). But the botched ending unfortunately makes this the worst match of the night and leaves Liv & Judgment Day in bad straights heading into October. Stupid Saudi belt; why can't you just do a Women's Mid-Card belt like everybody wants? Why is World Heavyweight Champion Gunther doing a promo segment on a supposedly important PLE instead of competing on it? Bloodline tag match was nothing special with no surprises. Intros sounded awful. Everybody knew this was the main event because Dwayne was coming back and Jimmy returning wasn't surprising. Solo losing again is so annoying by this point. Lastly, the 5 match cards on PLEs are not enough, I'm sorry. They leave out so many of WWE's best performers and practically the entire mid-card for the benefit of storylines that have been very hit and miss since Wrestlemania 40."
[2.0] "Very skippable PPV / PLE. Basically a one-match show. For WWE standards of in-ring action, Punk vs McIntyre is a must-see. Everything else, try to catch the clips on WWE social medias, so you dont waste 3 and a half hours of your life, watching this show."
"[6.0] Cell match was superb, big drop off after that, Rhea and Liv the low point Saudi segment over a work title match was a pathetic decision Not a fan of the five match cards, so much unnecessary filler to extend a 90 min event to 3 hours, 7 matches and less filler would be optimal"
[7.0] "Punk vs McIntyre was an absolute banger. Bálor vs Priest & The Main Event were decent. The female matches sadly lacked a bit tho. For a filler PPV, it was actually decent."
[5.0] "Two match cards for me. Opener was amazing and the match of the night and honestly, I thought the main event was a very good match as well. That being said, the matches in between differed in quality from a good TV main event but not really a PLE match (Balor vs Priest) to just a plain bad match that doesn't belong in WWE (Bayley vs Nia)."
"This was such a good show, the opener was a match of the year contender, followed by a decent womens title match. In my opinion, the match should have had Naomi in it or a stipulation but thats just me nitpicking. Priest and Balor put on a decent match and Rhea and Liv put on a stinker compared to their previous performances. The main event was epic and The Rock is back. Overall this was a success."
[7.0] "Punk/McIntyre, probably the most I've enjoyed an HIAC match since Mankind/Taker. You could argue, in pure play wrestling terms, it was even better. Definitely the best WWE match since Punk/Cena '11. The rest of the show was nothing to write home about - too many botches for me to appreciate the Nia Jax match, Rhea/Liv continue their run of mediocre in-ring action, albeit not from the lack of trying, on Rhea's part. Finn/Damien was a solid RAW main event bout that had no business being on a PPV. Cody/Roma all star tag was undertably hot in the arena but I hope it's their last hurrah together, as tag team partners. The Rock/Jimmy returns bumped up the ratings for me a percentage points, though. In summary, a decent show with an all timer opener."
[4.0] "Punk/McIntyre - ***3/4 (best match of the night, as expected); Nia/Bayley - I skipped this match; Priest/Balor - *** (not PPV worthy); Liv/Rhea - * (...); Tag Match - **1/4 (another 5 star instant classic Bloodline tag team clinic; I hope this was the final time Reigns and Rhodes are involved in a "blockbuster" tag match)"
[4.0] "Props only the worst PLE in this year. Basically the only positive in this show was the opener. Punk and Drew tore the house down with this masterpiece. Bayley vs Nia was ok? I Guess, nothing special. FINN BALOR LOSE AGAIN WITH THE HELP OF WHOLE JUDGEMENT DAY? Rest in pepperoni career of Finn because who still will be taking him seriously? Very sad to see. Rhea vs Liv absolute botch fest. Raquel got no pop and from the start stipulation with shark cage was so so stupid. And the main event oooo boy, first 10-15 minutes was so slow that I almost fall asleep. Again nothing special. The return of Jimmy was good tho but return of The Rock not too much. Wrong match main evented. AND I ALMOST FORGOT, THE HISTORICAL ANNOUNCEMENT WAS A STUPID ARABIAN TITLE? ANG GOLDBERG TEASING HIS MATCH WITH THE GOAT GUNTHER? Give me a break"
[3.0] "Save your time and just watch the really good Hell in a Cell match between Drew McIntyre and Punk. That was finally a Cell match which fulfilled the stipulation. Besides that match that PLE was really awful. On top we got this stupid and ugly belt for Crown Jewel and Bill Goldberg in the year 2024. Is Vince back?"
[9.0] "Great WWE PLE featuring some big moments. This did not feel like a B-Show at all. Great crowd. I loved the way they introduced all the celebrities and legends. The show began and ended incredibly. With some decent enough stuff in between. No doubt the show delivered, but I know people on this website are often looking for something different from their big wrestling shows, and that's fine."
[4.0] "A five match card where there was really only one very good match, one utterly botched stinker, and the rest being somewhere around the level of "meh" does not make for a good PLE. If WWE is going to do these small cards they need to make sure the matches hit. Further taking away from any positivity, you have HHH announcing an utterly underwhelming Crown Jewel match with a spectacularly ugly and gimmicky belt. This was just not a good night of wrestling unfortunately. And the capper, 52 year old Rock returns and seems to indicate he's going for Cody's belt. I know most people are huge fans of the Rock but I would much rather see WWE put their energy into truly building up someone as the future of the company instead of going back to him."
[8.0] "WWE Bad Blood was a standout show that delivered big moments and memorable matches. The Hell in a Cell opener between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre was an absolute war, filled with violence and storytelling that made it an instant classic. Its easily a Match of the Year contender and set the tone for the night. The rest of the card had its ups and downs, but it still offered a lot to enjoy. Bayley and Nia Jax had a surprisingly solid match that showed Nias improvement, and the involvement of Tiffany Stratton added some extra excitement to the mix. Damian Priest and Finn Balor kept the energy up with a good performance, even if it wasnt their best showing to date. The main event, featuring Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu, delivered on the story front, and the returns of Jimmy Uso and The Rock made for a thrilling close to the night. While not every match was perfect, the show hit its high notes when it mattered most. Overall, Bad Blood delivered quality wrestling, shocking returns, and key story advancements, making it a strong 8/10 event. Definitely one of WWEs most exciting shows of the year."
"5/10 9/10 Punk vs Drew was a classic as expected. Just a violent amazing match. 6/10Nia vs Bailey was decent. Funny match to watch although not the best in ring. 1/10 Damian vs Finn AKA Pinn Balor was trash. Just a boring monday night raw match. 5/10 Liv vs Rhea Decent match with cool moments but was sloppy especially the ending. 4/10 Main event, in ring match was very slow and boring and trash but got alright near the end. Jimmy and Rock returning saved it. One of the weakest PLE in the HHH era. Mid"
[6.0] "A really mixed bag here cause there were some really fucking good fucking stuff here but there as also as much if not more really bad and shitty stuff on this show too. The opener and the main both delivered especially the opener. The main event was good and the awesome surpise return of the rock was fantastic. But the middle portion of the show was atrocious and one of the worse stretches for a PPV this entire year. The only part of the show I actually enjoyed besides the opener and main event was the gunther Goldberg/sami segment that was genuinely really good. Really mixed bag only check out the things I enjoyed forget the rest"
[10.0] "One of the best WWE events I've ever seen in my life, and I've seen a lot. Everything was completely filled with useful content, all the matches mattered and brought something special to this show, and this is the factor that I missed from the Triple H era (PLE are good, but sterile). Punk and McIntyre showed a masterpiece, and I sincerely hope that the rating will not fall below 9.40 (although for some reason I'm sure that my hopes are in vain). Bayley and Jax played a very good match, and it was like I missed the moment when Nia became a really cool employee. Priest-Balor was fine, many people may not like the result, but Finn has had linear booking for many years, I knew right away that he would lose here. Ripley-Morgan is the worst match on the show, but the current rating does not really reflect, it was fun, and Dominik's performance is amazing and spectacular. The main event was on fire, and this applies to everything from the entrances to the appearance of Dwayne, the amazing aura of powerful superstars didn't leave me until the moment the show went off the air. Yes, not all matches are five-star classics, but this is an optional criterion in order to consider the event a success, and I am offended to see that many, for some reason, didn't enjoy it. I was sportily entertained and it was a unique experience, despite the fact that I have been a wrestling fan for 15 years."
[7.0] "Extremely top-heavy show carried mostly by the incredible opener that I felt should have been the main event. Most of the card was satisfactory elsewhere, although I really felt the Nia/Bayley match was more botchy than usual even for one of the names involved. Finn and Damian had a match that wasn't quite as good as their past work, but it was still solid and suited the feud well. But what an opening match, I feel like that alone earns 1-2 points. An otherwise C+ level show carried by a 5-star MOTYC and an appearance by The Rock."
[9.0] "another fantastic memorable wwe ppv in the year 2024. This year may go down for the best year for PPVs just because how many amazing memorable shows weve had. This id say is my second favorite on the year behind wreslemania. Great matches through out the whole show and then finishing the show off with two huge surprises at the end of the show. Couldnt get much better then that and advancing youre biggest story in your company. And oh yeah after the show un televised to btw. KEVIN OWENS TURNED HEEL. Now at first when i seen he turned heel off camera it pissed me off but then i also thought how cool it was that theyre trying to add something new to wrestling that you know if these characters have a issue with eachother theres other times they see eachother then in front of a tv camera. So excited for the KO run as a heel as well as randy and hopefully they can stay together as a team. REALLY awesome show."
[3.0] "Unfortunately a one match show. Everything after the stellar Punk/Drew match was fine at best and actively bad at worst, with Rhea/Liv being particularly disappointing after what has been a fun build for the feud. Priest/Balor felt like it should've been on an episode of Raw. The main event had some intriguing storyline implications but as a wrestling match it did not do much from an in ring perspective. With the large number of special events WWE runs, the creative team seems to have a bit of a pacing problem and it's really made some of these PLEs a drag post-Mania."
[7.0] "Some good matches, one horrible match and one great match. I feel like the Hell in A cell should've been later down the card. Myabe the worst WWE PLE of the year but it still wasn't that bad. I feel like Gunther/Sami should've been on the card as it could have increased the watchability of this event. Maybe remove a lot of ad time and give to matches. It did a great job of building up the next couple of months all the way to Wrestlemania. Other than the Liv/Rhea story dragging on and Balor losing the event was fine."
"[3.0] just not a good show. the opening match is my match of the year so far and was everything it need to be. Nia/Bayley good for what it was but still not anywhere near a PPV match. Damien/Finn was just an ok match but seemed to be a TV match more then a real blood feud. Rhea/Liv just end this the story. shouldn't have a title attached and the ending was botched with the big surprise getting absolute 0 reaction just end this at SNME. The main event typical bloodline match if its for you then thats ok i thought it was mid but with the Rock coming back saved the show."
[7.0] "Hilarious show and week, why would you book a 3-Way Tag Team Championship Ladder Match, A Dumpster Match, a Last MONSTER Standing match the same week of the PLE, then put a Good Old Fashioned Donnybrook and GUNTHER vs Sami Zayn WHC match on the show after the PLE, all blood feuds or pretty personal matches and feud, on Free TV, and the put the most boring undercard on PLE with Bayley vs Nia, Bálor vs Priest and Rhea vs Liv (this could've been saved if it had a stipulation), this show was a two match show but the order was all wrong I don't care if this was Roman's first match since Mania, or that is in Cody's hometown, or that The Rock came, the Bloodbath and WWE's feud of the year between Punk and Drew should've main evented"
[8.0] "This PPV was carried by the Opening match; which was Punk vs McIntyre in a Hell in a Cell(WWE's MOTY and a candidate for MOTY) and the main event; which was Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes vs Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. Both women's championship matches were lackluster and the Finn vs Damian match could've been on a RAW. The aftermath of this show will be interesting to see as well. This show needed Gunther vs Sami for the World Heavyweight Championship on it as the middle part of the PPV was lackluster as aforementioned. Overall with everything that happened this show is an 8/10."
"Much better than what youd expect from a B show. For a PLE that was is not on the big 4, this was incredible. Even the least hyped matches (Bayley vs Nia 2) was entertaining. I hope they reverse these PLE for when the main roster is producing blood feuds, other than that this was a great show. Perfect? No. The best of all time? No. Best Bad Blood event Ive ever seen? Hell yeah."
[8.0] "A very solid event. The opener we had potentially the WWE Match of the Year with CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre in a Hell in a Cell Match which was amazing from start to finish. Nia Jax's and Bayley had a very solid title match with Tiffany Stratton trying to cash in her briefcase but that just causes more drama between her and Nia Jax's. Finn Balor suffered a lost against Damian Priest even with help from The Judgement Day he just couldn't get the win. Liv Morgan & Rhea Ripley had one of the worst matches of this year even with the return of Raquel Rodriguez the fans seemed to not care whatsoever. The Main Event match was decent but that wasn't the important part we saw the returns of Jimmy Uso & The Rock to close out the show. Solid event overall can't wait to see the aftermath from this PLE on RAW & SmackDown this week."
[3.0] "Quite literally, a "one match show", no one will remember that meaningless 2-minutes Dwayne return at the end. And the worst thing is that he thought that was more deserving of the main event than Punk vs. Drew. Whatever, we had a Match of the Year contender, two decent-at-best matches, an absolute mess, and a main event with the classic bloodline style that we've seen for years. Oh, and let's not forget about the historical announcement of the "Crown Jewel championships" that even got Triple H booed. Embarrassing return for Bad Blood, I thank CM Punk and Drew McIntyre for that hell of a match, I think the attendance got at least 25% of their money's worth."
"7/10. Pretty good show, but brought down majorly by the main event being a boring slog and the ending to the Rhea Ripley match. HIAC match was the match of the night, maybe even match of the year."
[3.0] "Couldve been worst wwe ppv of the decade if it wasn't for hell in a cell saving the card, and did dwyane for real fly out to Atlanta just to stand at the top of the ramp? lmao honestly hilarious, but yea to copy sheamus, it was failure after failure after failure after failure, 5 match card, only 1 good match, ridiculous. the traditional shitty bloodline tag match, and a painfully average jd match, and holly that liv rhea match might be worst match of the year, literally not a memorable spot besides dom almost dying, and when a male is the highlight of a female title match, that is stupid."
