[4.0] "Charlotte und Rousey eröffnen die Show und werden natürlich handgreiflich. Leidtragender ist offensichtlich wieder Drew Gulak, der im Kielwasser dieser Ereignisse ja sogar noch real gefeuert werden wird. Haut mich nicht um, ist in seiner Konsequenz ein durchaus billig zu nennendes Build-Up. Butch ist Pete Dunne, und Pete Dunne ist nicht Brian Pillman, weil es auch nicht mehr 1996 ist. Gebt dem Typen was zu tun und mottet die verkackten Hosenträger ein. Okay, dann kühlt man meine schlechte Laune erst einmal ab, indem Gunther den bemitleidenswerten Teddy Goodz inhaliert. Das Match zwischen Mr. Uso und Riddle ist dann schon eine Beleg dafür, dass Jey vielleicht doch etwas mehr Single-Perspektive hat, als sein Zwillingsbruder. Nattie bewirbt sich mit Baszler um einen Shot auf die Tag-Titel der Damen. Wer aber NXT verfolgt und weiß, was da gerade mit dem Aufbau für Cora Jade zu tun ist, ahnt auch, wie aussichtslos die beiden Damen da ins Rennen gehen. Derweil kann Moss zwar nach Carrillo auch Garza besiegen, sein ehemaliger Chef bleibt ihm aber nachtragend auf den Fersen. Wichtig: in der folgenden Sequenz biedert sich Sami Zayn erstmalig bei den Bloodline-Jungs an, was wirklich über Jahre hinweg noch Konsequenzen haben wird, positive wie negative. Das macht dann diese Episode noch so knapp ausreichend, denn ausser des Riddle-Matches in der Mitte der Card ist das alles auffallend dünn gestrickt."
[4.0] "Ziemlich dröge Ausgabe von SmackDown. Kein Match ist auf irgendeine Weise interessant. Auch Riddle-Uso würde ich da nicht ausnehmen, denn auch wenn es ein paar schöne Moves zu bieten hatte, ist die Paarung uninteressant und man hat das Gefühl, man füllt bis Backlash einfach Sendezeit, bis dann das Title Unification Match das einzige wichtige Match der Storyline sein wird. McIntyre-Zayn endet wieder ohne Ergebnis. Wenn es jetzt noch jemanden geben sollte, der nächste Woche wieder einschaltet, weil er glaubt, dass es im Steel Cage im vierten Versuch dann ein richtiges Ergebnis geben wird, ist er wohl mit dem Klammerbeutel gepudert."
[4.0] "In general, the show lacks a global and interesting plot that will make the overall design watchable. Almost all titles are unnecessary and applicants most often do not try to jump over their heads. The matches are just standard or even worse. Promos are not interesting. Minor disassembly causes a slight yawn. There are no bright and rebellious characters. Wrestling is not enough. This is the most boring show for a wrestling fan."
[3.0] "Bad show. It was so dull. Even with all the new talents coming up from NXT, Creative still cannot put a decent feud on the show. Roman has no challengers but carries two World Championship with him; He does a good job but not worth two World Championships. Sami is stuck in the mid card. Jey and Jimmy are in a pointless feud against RK Bro though the singles match between Riddle and Jey was fine. Drew hasn't rebounded yet and is stuck in a dead end feud with Sami ( Normally a feud between superstars of their talents could be excellent but with the way they are booked, it will be a joke). Rhonda and Charlotte has zero chemistry together. Butch ( Pete Dunne) is being wasted. One of the few things they did right was Gunther squashing a Jobber; I don't like the new trunks though. Bad show overall."
[3.0] "Another pointless episode of Smackdown, full of rematches and segments promoting rematches, with little of it even being entertaining. Managing to have a lumberjack match with no actual result sums up the problems here - if you absolutely need to have no result to a match, don't specifically set it up so there has to be one. Better still, write stories where the matches mean something, and have meaningful results."
[6.0] "Das Contract Signing-Segment ist solide, aber die Story kann davon nicht so richtig profitieren, sondern bleibt auf ihrem durchschnittlichen Niveau. Den Opener hat man so ähnlich schon gesehen, aber immerhin kann es Butch im Aftermath nutzen, um Persönlichkeit zu formen. So ist er schon interessanter als Ridge Holland z.B., der halt einfach nur da ist. Aliyah schnackt mal wieder mit Ricochet und Shanky sabbelt sich in ein Titelmatch. Der Champ braucht andere Kaliber, wenn er einen guten Run haben soll. Gunther macht das weiterhin gut und squasht Goods ordentlich weg. RK-Bro bereichert auch das blaue Brand und Xia Li als Face war nichts, also turnt sie binnen 22 Sekunden Heel. Heel-Action ist ja immer eindrucksvoller als Heel-Worte - zumindest, in dieser Form. Jey und Riddle mit einem kurzweiligen TV-Match. Natalya und Shayna als Herausforderinnen sind nicht überrragend, aber die Division der Damen ist halt auch einfach keine derzeit. Aufbau für Moss vs. Corbin ist Backstage und im Ring absolut solide, nur Madcaps Match hätte mehr auf den Punkt sein dürfen. Raquel braucht eher In-Ring-Action als so ein Promo-Video, aber das folgt dann ja nächste Woche. Lacey Evans macht das schon gut, aber ich bin gespannt, wie man so ein Gimmick konservieren möchte als Face. Sami Zayn bleibt einer der besten Persönlichkeiten 2022 und macht das hier in Summe einfach gut. Match ist passabel und leidet schon unter dem Gimmick-Story-Heckmeck, aber generell passt das. Auch die Verquickung Zayn/Bloodline find ich ganz gelungen. Solide Show."
[4.0] "A lousy show, a cabbage of rivalries with hardly any new stories, filling the bill with the same names and without much surprise or entertainment."
[6.0] "That was a satisfactory SD. I enjoyed the matches (Riddle vs Jey was very good and Butch vs Xavier Woods good). MCIntyre vs Zayn was logical that it would take us to a stipulation where Zayn can't escape. Gunther will be great on main roster, i cant wait to see his first rivalry."
[4.0] "It's never good when WWE does double SmackDowns, as they spread a show's worth of ideas over two shows. Jey Uso vs. Riddle was by far the best thing on this show, and even that was merely good. The Charlotte Flair/Ronda Rousey feud is still poor, and now it's being used to bury Drew Gulak. There's no-one in place to challenge Roman Reigns, and the Premium Live Event is in two weeks."
[4.0] "Woods vs BUTCH was correct, Gunther vs Teddy Goodz was a good squash and Riddle vs Jey Uso was nice. The rest of the show was useless. SmackDown suffers from a roster that lacks star power."
[5.0] "It was fine. The contract signing wasn't awful but not good either. Still have very minimal interest in the Flair/Rousey feud. Woods and Dunne had a much better match than the one they had two weeks prior. Not sure where this story with Butch is going but the match was decent so whatever. Walter got another squash match. The women's tag segment was fine. Sasha and Naomi are trying their hardest to make the titles mean something again. Riddle and Jey had match of the night. Just a great back and forth brawl. Madcap singles career is already reaching a dead end. The match with Garza wasn't bad necessarily but it wasn't competitive at all. Main event wasn't much of a match as it was Sami Zayn running away constantly whilst the lumberjacks fought amongst themselves. The fact it had no finish didn't help either. Overall while it wasn't an awful show, as it had a good pacing and some decent matches, the build to Backlash has been very average."
