[7.0] "A decent show overall, mostly because of the tournament matches which were both good. In the undercard, the most interesting stuff for me is the continuing Bullet Club story. Finally something is happening with that faction and the New Japan roster who by all means should be sick of BC, and it's starting to feel a tiny bit like WCW vs NWO. WCW vs NWO with Taguchi - what on Earth. Whatever, it seems to work right now and I think this is the most interesting Bullet Club has been in a while. I like the strange combo team which is forming to fight them."
[7.0] "Two matches that stole my heart. Great tournament fights with unexpected outcomes and the brightest wrestling component. Of course, there were a lot of team battles that few people need at the moment, everyone was tired of endless team battles without a prize. But we are here for the tournament, and the fights for it pulled the overall rating of the show, I just want to put 7/10 for them. That's why I came to watch NJPW for such matches."
[6.0] "S. Kojima, Tiger Mask & Yuto Nakashima VS Kosei Fujita, Ryohei Oiwa & Makabe: Old blood VS new blood. Nothing spectacular, just a fight to prepare the show. [*]; Ishii, Yano & Tanahashi vs DOUKI, Suzuki & Taichi: Now is that the event got some intensity, the interactions between the wrestlers were good, almost made me think in watching again Tanahashi VS Suzuki or this man VS Ishii. Nice match. [***1/4]; Ten Man Tag Team Match: It is very strange to see GoD as face, and making team with Ryusuke is almost more strange, part of his wrestling technique is being heels, and in this match that was obvious. It was just adequate, trying to build the rivalry between these two factions, and give the BC the relevance they used to have. [**]; El Desperado, Michinoku & Kanemaru VS EVIL, SHO & Y. Takahashi: Adequate match. Same action from House of Torture as the past year, Desperado being the only interesting thing of the match. [**]; Bishamon & Tomoaki Honma VS Henare, Great-O-Khan & Cobb: The match of the hard-hitting wrestlers. United Empire day by day is becoming a top faction in New Japan, they only need have more recurrent wins to get more attention. The match was fine, good bur sometimes slow interactions, despite having Goto and Cobb in the ring. [***1/4]; Okada & YOH VS BUSHI & Naito: Nice and entertaining match to prepare the next Okada VS Naito match. They keeped the best for the 26's show, YOH and BUSHI dis the most part of the match, and did it pretty well. Interesting action berween Juniir Heavyweights. [***1/2]; S. Takagi VS H. Takahashi: As expected the match was pretty good. Takagi dominating the most part of it, and Hiromu fighting as the underdog who has no chances to qualify. Despite it was good, Hiromu made some botches moves that took away some emotion of the match. Even that, this LIJ clash was very cool to watch. [****1/4]; Zack Sabre Jr VS Will Ospreay: Great great match, with a very surprising end. Here we saw the most savage version of Zack, kicking, punching, and making his opponent quit. Ospreay also played a very important role in the match, playing as he was going to become the final winner. Very nice to see. Definitely MOTN. [****3/4]; Overall show was not so quite good, as constantly happens with New Japan, the only important matches were the uppercard, and the Tag team fight between LIJ and CHAOS. I really liked the New Japan Cup bouts, now with Zack as the winner, let's see if he gets the final spot. [***]"
[9.0] "Comfortably the best day of the tournament so far, all the multi tags were pleasant but obviously it? s the two singles matches that make the tournament. The frantic pace of the Shinto match was great and made me believe that Hiromu would win multiple times. Ospreay and ZSJ are almost guaranteed to have a standout match every time they face and this might be my favourite."
[9.0] "If you focus on the two NJC cup matches... holy hell! Shingo/Takahashi was a great fun battle between brothers, and Ospreay/ZSJ delivered a MOTY candidate as per usual."
"MUCH better show than yesterday, loved every minute of it. The tag matches can get a bit forgettable at times, but the real highlight is definitely the final two matches. Takagi & Hiromu...really liked that one, and the main event was a masterclass. Booking was fine too. 9/10"
[9.0] "Great show live. It flew by, didn't have any bad matches and continued The Cup while also building other stories for the Hyper Battle PPV next month. Hiroshi Tanahashi aligning with GoD against Bullet Club is something I didn't expect. Romu & Shingo had a war and then ZSJ & Ospreay had a classic. We now know the semi finals will be Okada Vs Naito & ZSJ Vs Shingo."
