Jericho kürt QT "Marshaaal" zum Sports Entertainer of the Weak, ich musste herzlich lachen.
[6.0] "People rating this 9's and 10's obviously just watched the opener and the main event and must of skipped the middle of the show. The opener and the main event were great matches but the middle was absolutely awful and especially the women's match."
[8.0] "A great one, for sure, giving the hell of an opener we got and all-time classic brawl between Mox and Yuta. Swerve vs. QT was a bit random but a good showcase as AEW has to sign Willow."
Absolut grandios."
[7.0] "Decent opener and a good main event with completely skippable matches in between. Also a terrible segment with Hook, who has come to mean "Piss break" to me, which was made even worse with the inclusion of Danhausen. I'm going to have to start drinking more water. Both are living memes with go-away heat to me and I don't care to see either of them. Also, those crowd reaction shots nobody wanted seem to have made a comeback. Despite the skippable stuff in the middle, I'd still say this episode made for an hour well spent."
[8.0] "This really was a pretty great Rampage. Opener & Main really good, matches in between were mostly fine, although the women's match got a little rough in parts. No thanks to ITV4's increasing shoddy coverage of AEW as of late."
[9.0] "A very strong show with wonderful pro wrestling bookends. Trent and Danielson put on one hell of a show to start things off, and what more needs to be said about Jon Moxley and Wheeler Yuta? Just magnificent. Yuta had been impressing audiences in the four months or so before this, and the journey he took the crowd on to get to this point was about as good as pro wrestling gets. The post-match, and Yuta writing BCC on his chest in his own blood, was just the icing on the cake."
[8.0] "Firstly, the whole issue was surrounded by the atmosphere of a fight club, the main events took place around Wheeler Yuta and his desire to get into the same party with Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley, and damn me, he did it, he proved his worth and broke through another barrier in his career, he became a star. The test is passed. HOOK and his funny rival in the face of Danhausen causes a smile and interest. American Top Team also, in fact, says what I agree with, they are evil, but honest. Willow Nightingale is cute, I hope she will be invited to visit again. Announcements for upcoming shows are simply cosmically cool. I'm thrilled!"
[10.0] "Danielson VS Beretta: Absolutely insane match. Bryan gets a 5-star match from anyone he wants too, I really like his new version at AEW, not sure of his character, but I do of his wrestling. Trent also did it great, one of the most under appreciatted men of AEW roster. Perfect opener. [****1/2]; Hook and that man, I don't get it, so as I don't get this flat reign from Scorpio Sky, the only two fine things of this rivalry are Sammy and Tai; QT Marshall VS Swerve Strickland: Nice fight too, didn't expect this level of wrestling, even didn't expect they gave him more than 5 minutes to fight. But QT did very good, one of his best AEW performances. [***1/2]; Nightingale VS Red Velvet: Most of the match was really helped by Nightingale, as an expert, as a professional, selling very god all the offenses Velvet did, and that awesome cannonball tor the corner. Some part of the matches looked a bit choreographic, but still a nice fight. [***]; Yuta VS Moxley: What a hell of a match, one of the best AEW Rampage shows I've seen. Really nice how they are working around Yuta and also around this magnific squad. I'm really wordless here to comment anything about this match, just to say that it was awesome, and that anyone should watch it. Very good stuff, in my opinion, almost a 5-star match. [****3/4]. I never though I would say this, but this has been a very good Rampage show, excellent matches, excelent storytelling, and just having a short 1-hour show to develope it. Nice performance. Great great show. [****3/4]"
"A new golden age of western wrestling may be rising. The legends from Japan's last decade of spectacle are starting to age. The temporary death of live shows and scumbag practices of the western "Big leagues" left a crater in the industry. That crater was filled in fine style. For all its awkward stumbles and smarmy cringe-mongering, All Elite Wrestling can take pride in one thing. It has revived the spirit of the industry. It is a confluence of promising young talent and seasoned veterans to mentor them, while top performers in their prime carry the show. The main event of this episode of Rampage shows every just how fruitful this awakened spirit can be. From Regal, to Moxley, to Yuta, generations of talent build upon each other. Moxley makes Yuta look like a hero. Yuta helps Moxley look like a madman. Regal amplifies it all with his experience and knowledge. A similar story can be told with Sting through to Darby. Wrestling has always been an industry of generations. Whether it be by bloodline or by mentorship, pro wrestling lives and dies by the ties that bind its performers. This is an industry of trust and respect. In that context, the main event of Rampage #36 was solid gold. The opener, though an excellent performance, lacked that weight which elevated the finale. The middle matches were fine. Swerve did his thing. QT showed his mastery of making others look great, yet again. Red Velvet vs Willow was a middling bout, but with a nice boost from hometown hype for Willow. Overall, a solid hour of damned entertaining stuff."
[7.0] "Would have been a 9/10 if Willow Nightingale had gone over and QT Marshall had been kept off the show. I seriously don't understand what the point of having him on. Reeks of a producer putting themselves on the card. Main event was great and a real highlight. AEW have built Wheeler Yuta in an excellent way, If nothing else watch the main event."
[8.0] "This show had Really good opener between Bryan and Trent to set the pace, two perfectly fine midcard matches, another Sammy/Lambert promo segment I didn't really care about, and some solid backstage segments. But the highligh of the episode by a mile is the Main event between Mox and Yuta an awesome violent match"
[9.0] "The opener clearly throws a signal that if Rampage has the "four pillars" attitude, Trent is one of them as he's been on high steam during several Rampage episodes. Danielson was his usual self of technical annihilation at the best. Swerve didn't need to break a sweat against QT even though the match was prolonged. The post-match warning from Starks hypes the upcoming tag match for Dynamite in a good way. Willow vs. Velvet was a sound physical match where the result was a huge curveball in not putting Willow up on the map. The main event is a career defining match for Yuta and could've stole many hearts of wrestling fans as a MOTY contender. Add in the decent-at-best promo war between SamTay & ATT as well as the hype for next week's trilogy of shows - Dynamite, Rampage & Battle of the Belts II and we have one of the strongest editions of Rampage in its short history. 8.5 out of 10 points!"
[9.0] "A top contender for best Rampage ever, primarily due to the insane MOTYC main event, but the rest was decent as well. Danielson-Beretta was a good outing, and while Strickland-Marshall and Velvet-Nightingale were certainly nothing truly special, they were more adequate than you might imagine. The story though is Yuta's initiation into Blackpool Combat Club by Moxley. Yuta felt like an absolute megastar here, bleeding buckets but never saying quit against the former world champion as he got hit with just about everything. He even kicked out of Moxley's finisher twice, and Moxley has to choke him unconscious in order to get him to stop after 13 of the most nutso minutes I've seen in wrestling. Afterwards, he earns the respect of Regal, Danielson, and Moxley, and Yuta writes "BCC" on his body IN HIS OWN BLOOD. WHAT A FUCKING BADASS. A star is born."
[8.0] "Very good show with an excellent main event. There wasn't a bad match or a bad segment throughout the show. It was a very breezy show that started hot with Bryan Vs Trent; The middle portion wasn't great by any means but it was solid work nontheless; And The main event is one of the best TV matches I have seen with an absolute molten crowd. The only segment I didn't like was the TNT Title segment; The story is so lame, its something straight out of the WWE playbook. MOTN: Moxley Vs Yuta ****3/4"
[9.0] "Soft middle, but the Blackpool Combat Club focused opener and closer made this a great episode of Rampage. The clear highlight was Wheeler YUTA's performance against Jon Moxley, cementing YUTA as a new top star in AEW. Just a shame they didn't think to do the same for Willow Nightingale, as the fans wanted her to win too."
[7.0] "A reasonably good show, bookended by two great matches. The middles matches were exactly what MJF would call "Mid" , they weren't bad, but they weren't keeping my attention for long either. The must-watch is of course Yuta vs Moxley"
[9.0] "What a great Rampage show this week, what a dynamic everything, it was a seen and not seen, very enjoyable for being 1 hour, what a luxury it is to see wrestling shows like this."
[6.0] "You know those wrestling shows that get high ratings because one single match on it was 'really good' at best? This was one of those shows. Danielson vs Beretta was a good opener. Danielson's technical skills and strikes were wonderful, and Beretta's own offence was good too. Beretta tried to match Danielson's style and intensity but was outclassed at every step. Danielson's cheeky, arrogant, and vicious heel work remained awesome, and Beretta did well as the cold-faced bruiser who slowly became more heated in response to Danielson's dominance. Danielson's offence was clearly still more effective, which made sense since his also looked more convincing. Beretta got a few cool moments to himself but mostly looked quite inferior. ***1/4. Maybe Cody's wonderfully confusing "am I face or heel? " schtick has just made me conspiratorial about every heel or face that starts getting the opposite crowd reactions they seemingly intend for, but I can't tell if Sammy and Tay are genuinely just bad babyfaces or if they're subtle/soon-to-be heels. They're incredibly off-putting as the 'cute couple' that shoves their relationship in everyone's faces while acting super smug the entire time, and Lambert and Ethan made genuinely good criticisms of them despite being the established heels. If Sammy and Tay are meant to be 'cool' babyfaces, then they're awful. I hope we figure out their exact direction soon. Swerve vs QT basically just had QT as little more than a blank canvas for Swerve to showcase his signature stuff. His agile attacks and movements were all smooth, and his natural swagger was fun. QT was fine as the low-level heel for him to play off of. Quite a pointless match, but they needed an excuse for Starks to set-up a match with Swerve, and I obviously won't complain too heavily about getting to see Swerve wrestle. **. Willow vs Velvet was forgettable but fine for the most part. Willow had some okay powerhouse spots and some cringey babyface character work, while Velvet had some fine speedy and agile attacks plus some surprisingly confident heel character work. A shame they brought the whole match down by completely botching the finish like total amateurs. *3/4. The hilarious overrating aside, Moxley vs Yuta was really good and easily MOTN. Moxley's aggressive attacks and generally reckless and merciless attitude were very fun, making for a formidable opponent that Yuta could only hope to overcome by digging deep and showing the sort of fire that he'd never shown before in AEW. He ended up displaying some nice power moves and intelligent sudden counters while also utilising some more vicious and underhanded tactics to even the match and pay Moxley back, all while showing impressively desperate fire and surviving a surprising number of Moxley's signature moves and even finishers. I don't know if Yuta will actually become a star, but AEW booked him to have a star-making performance here. ***1/2"
[9.0] "Very strong episode with an exciting opener, a memorable star-making main event, and the same super hot crowd that gave a massive boost to the Dynamite that preceded it. Definitely a can't miss episode."
[9.0] "Absolutely outstanding episode. The legendary Bryan Danielson does his thing. The great Jon Moxley produces another banger, and Wheeler Yuta is now a star in AEW. Well done. Loving me some Blackpool Combat Club, or the William Regal Badass Club. Sammy Guevara & Tay Conti vs. American Top Team & Men of the Year is a candidate for 2022 Worst Feud of the Year. Just because they are a real life couple does not mean that it will make for good television. They are in danger of getting "Go Away" Heat. That is not good for a "Pillar". They need to be kept apart from each other on television. Minoru Suzuki vs. Samoa Joe is actually going to happen! I just said to myself a few days ago that the legendary match that Joe had with the God known as Kenta Kobashi, much of that same kind of intensity can be replicated in a match with Minoru Suzuki, and now here it is! Dope ass episode."
[9.0] "Two great matches including a MOTY contender, two decent matches and a fun segment with Hook and Danhausen made for a great show, about as good as TV wrestling gets. Just please, less of Sammy Guevara if he's not wrestling. Mox/Yuta was better than any review could make it sound, a true star making performance."
[9.0] "This episode has no bad matches in my opinion, with a really good match opening the show and an amazing match closing the show. The only thing really keeping this episode from being higher is the Sammy and Tay stuff which really isn't connecting with the crowd or the audience at home."
[9.0] "the main event was crazy bloody fight that put yuta over trent vs danielson was good but should have been longer and given willow is a more experienced wrestler she should have gotten over in her hometown"
[9.0] "Rampage should be always like this, not just a one match show with a good opener and meh/bad main event, the opener was good and the Main Event was awesome and made YUTA a star"
[9.0] "Danielson vs Beretta was great opener: ***3/4, Strickland vs Marsha was okay: ***, Velvet vs Nightingale was okay: **3/4, Moxley vs Yuta was a brutal brilliant match: ****1/4. Hook interview segment was funny with danhausen and the men of the year segment was okay as Guevara and Conti were hilarious. Overall a really great 1 hour of rampage this week."
[9.0] "Probably the best Rampage I have ever watched. The opener and main event were BRAWLS. Yuta and Moxley was the best Rampage match of all time. AEW has a new star on their hands."
"Hearing Mox/Yuta was better than Kingston/Danielson. We? ll have to wait and see but I have high high hopes for this now. Looks like a stacked card, love me some Swerve and Danielson/Mox."
