[8.0] "So, my ratings all added up to about a 7 but its going to a 8 for the timing of this show as this was a damn good way to start a company while the next 6 years have had some massive ups and some massive downs this is forever a piece of history that was needed for wrestling, AEW put on a hell of a show here and im excited to watch the rest of the 2019 PPVS now that i can!"

[8.0] "A good, strong ppv that sets the tone of AEW really well. The standout matches for me were both 6 Man/Woman tag matches and Rhodes v Rhodes. Even though I knew about Moxleys return beforehand it was still a cool moment that sets up 2 potential feuds with Omega and Jericho. I think the biggest flaw of the PPV is the commentary team. They haven't yet found their groove but it does get a bit stronger towards the end. Excalibur and JR are both good but their styles don't compliment each other well during this PPV. I hope there chemistry improves in th future."

[8.0] "What a great way to kick off a new major promotion. Match of the night is hands down Cody vs. Dustin, but Omega vs. Jericho was also a great match. Major props to everyone involved with this show for pulling off such a great PPV without a single second of TV time. AEW Dynamite wouldn't begin for another few months after this PPV. From here all the way to All Out 2019, they had to do everything with no TV time at all. All Out MVP goes to Dustin Rhodes, who had the greatest match of his career on this show."

[10.0] "Legendary show at this point, the debut of AEW following the ground swell created the previous year at independent wrestling supershow, All In. Double or Nothing levels up the concept of All In as the name implies. Cody vs Dustin Rhodes with a bloody and dramatic match of the night. Unbelievable action rarely seen in front of crowds this size is introduced to the world throughout the night in explosive and innovative matches. My personal favorite being The Hybrid 2 taking on Best Friends, showcasing how insanely athletic and fun pro wrestling could be. The night is topped off with the shocking arrival of all arrivals as Jon Moxley hits the wrestling industry with a paradigm shift. AEW left a legendary mark on the wrestling business with it's debut show and revolutionized what wrestling is today at it's very core in many ways."

[7.0] "Solid starting out PPV for AEW. A lot of these matches are just more showcase matches, because really the only thing driving any story for this show is Being The Elite at this point. Highlights are The Rhodes Brothers match, and the opening six man tag for me, but everything on this show is rock solid and lays a solid foundation for the promotion in the future....other than the Dark Order."

[9.0] "A wildly successful debut event for a red hot, buzzing, brand new AEW. Even though the organization did not have the benefit of any weekly televised shows prior to the event for building stories, all of the story and character work comes across as easy to follow and to invest yourself within... not an incredibly easy task. There's not a truly weak match on the card. However, the two women's bouts on the card are probably just a slight step behind the men's matches simply due to AEW's decision to sloppily cram-book so many performers within both matches without any sense of organization or character alignment flow, plus each has a couple weaker link wrestlers that the better workers have to cover. That said, even those two women's matches have enough good work, good pacing and solid finishes to be worth a watch. This overall PPV event is largely a fast paced, athletic, well-worked and team driven event. The only two matches that focus heavily on storylines are the excellent Rhodes vs Rhodes match and the decent main event #1 contender bout between generational legends Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega: neither of which disappoint. I will say that it is a shame that Khan wouldn't just elevate this main event to an actual title match... God knows both of these guys make more sense in the title match than Adam Page, especially as an initial draw to give AEW legitimacy, something Jericho even would sarcastically rib about in the match-related promo material. Overall, it's hard to imagine a first show with unestablished titles and minimal storylines going much more smoothly than this one."

[9.0] "This was quit awesome show. Sure had its flaws, and the opener was kinda mid, but really not that bad at all. Sure Jim Ross almost made me crash asleep for the last 3-4 matches due to how boring he was but still. Also had a bit of problems with fans chatting stuff that completly didn't relate to the match like for example even before Cody and Dustin made first lock up."

[8.0] "This show is great, not as good as later PPVs in AEW, however this show was great for a debut show and I don't have anything negative to say about the show. The last 3 matches were all really good and the MJF segment was great looking back on it. Overall this was an amazing show that's crazy to see now how far this company has come."

[7.0] "My rating for this show is 7/10, I enjoyed this ppv more than I thought I would. I skipped three matches I had no interest in that includes the main event, I dont want to see Chris Jericho wrestle he just looks out of place, I dont care if i am missing out he's just not my thing anymore. The matches were long and it felt like it too sometimes with a few matches dragging on, they were enjoyable to watch but could've been shorter otherwise would have been 8/10"

[7.0] "This was good, mostly concise, & relatively free of errors. I could definitely picture seeing this live in 2019 & actively believing that the best thing in world has arrived; this is because I was there, & that vibe was very much true. Five years later, these last two bouts stretch on way too long for my taste, & the 6-woman match was... I'll just be polite & say that it wasn't my thing. Other than that & the fact that the Young Bucks match was a Young Bucks match, everything else here is excellent, for the most part. Performance highlights IMO include Scorpio Sky, Ryo Mizunami, & Angelico. Generally speaking, as a now somewhat/(barely, lol)-knowledgeable fan, I'd have seen this as a fairly strong start to an exciting new fed (Jim Ross is an amazing addition to this booth! ), yet not without it's errors. The women's 4-way was a confused mess, & Excalibur & Aubrey's first appearances are poison; some things never change."

[9.0] "AEW's first PPV was amazing. The tag matches were awesome. The four way womens match was okay. Cody vs Dustin all time classic. Then Omega vs Jericho to finish for the main event. We got Jon Moxley closing the show. Everything on the card was excellent. The first PPV delivered."

[10.0] "This show doesn't hold up quite as well on a rewatch, largely due to the difficulty of having angles for the initial show, but it still deserves the 10 for the match quality and the importance of the event. It opened with a great match between SCU and STRONGHEARTS, that sets the tone for the entire company. This is followed by the weak women's match between Dr. Britt Baker DMD, Kylie Rae, Nyla Rose, and Awesome Kong that, unfortunately, set the tone for the women's division for a while. Things got back on track with the match between Best Friends and Angelico and Jack Evans. AEW then proves they can do women's wrestling well as Hikaru Shida, Riho, and Ryo Mizunami took on Aja Kong, Emi Sakura, and Yuka Sakazaki. Cody and Dustin Rhodes had the match of the night and the first of many 5 five-star matches from the company. The Young Bucks defended their AAA World Tag Team Titles against the Lucha Brothers in an excellent match. Finally, Chris Jericho battled Kenny Omega for the right to face Adam Page for the title in the future in another great match."

[9.0] "The first AEW show did not disappoint. The show kicked off with SCU/Stronghearts in a banger match, then the mediocre womens four way, then the Best Friends tag match, then a very fun Joshi six-woman tag, then possibly match of the year with Cody and Dustin, then we had The Young Buck/Lucha Bros in another banger, then Omega/Jericho in an epic rematch to close the show. We also got appearances from Jon Moxley and Bret Hart, this was undoubtedly a successful show."

[7.0] "7.2/10: my first impressions of aew by this event are primarily that there is a hell lot of talent. The moves are unique, and the superstars are great crowd controllers. It ticked all the boxes in terms of storytelling and maybe surprises too, but it still lacked some individual storyline, which is obvious because it was the first ever show. However, i loved the ppv."

[10.0] "This card is a historic landmark in the history of pro wrestling, a card that's importance has only become more evident as the years go by. On its own it is a great show with a hot opener, a good mix of match types building up to a killer final three matches. The emotional Cody V Dustin bloodbath is on the all time great level, still arguably the best match AEW has put on. Bucks V Lucha Bros set up what would be the best tag team rivalry in the world for a number of years. While Omega V Jericho is not as good as their first match the boiling crowd carries what is still a very good match to great. The night ends with a landmark debut and finishes perfectly to set up the company's direction going forward. These two elements combine to make this what should be regarded as a 10/10 card."

[9.0] "AEW's first ever show was definitely a must-watch and made me a fan of the company right out of the gates. All the matches on the card delivered, outside of the women's four way, with Cody vs. Dustin being the show stealer of the night. Lucha Bros vs. Young Bucks was also pretty awesome. StrongHeats vs. SCU was a super enjoyable opening bout that set a really good tone for the rest of the show. I really recommend it alongside the joshi showcase match. Omega vs. Jericho was a good main event and Jon Moxley's debut to close the show was wonderful. In retrospective, knowing what Moxley has done for the company so far, I'd say it's the most important moment in AEW's history. Definitely the women's four way was the weakest match of the night and I would've done without the overly-long Bret Hart championship introduction. The crowd was also great throughout the whole show, especially during Cody vs. Dustin. Production wise there were a few mistakes but I can forgive it considering this was their first show. Something is missing to be an all-timer but it's a damn good introduction for the company. 9/10"

[7.0] "Feel like this PPV is a little overrated. Sure, the Cody/Dustin match is one of the best ever, but everything else ranges from really good to really bad - nothing else is great. The opening tag match and the Joshi match aside, the tag matches here were mainly spotfests with no storytelling, especially that Best Friends match, which was terrible, and the women's fatal four-way was poorly booked despite the talent involved. Thankfully the main event was one of the good ones, but even that had problems (mainly the length). What elevates this is the Cody/Dustin match and two EXCELLENT promos from MJF and Moxley, announcing that AEW isn't just gonna be in-ring athleticism, but great characters too. A solid start, but there's definitely room for improvement."

[8.0] "I am watching all of AEW from start to the current day and this is the beginning. Really impressive show. As a fan of the storytelling aspect of wrestling I had the idea maybe AEW was not for me. I am hoping the quality remains this high."

[7.0] "I was more middling on this than I hoped I would be. really dug the joshi tag match and the Bucks/Lucha Bros, but found the majority of it to be generally standard and nothing that blew my mind away. feel like I'd be fonder on the event overall if the main had worked for me, but Omega/Jericho was sloppy, overlong and genuinely pretty boring for long stretches, which killed a lot of my enthusiasm. happy to see Moxley and am hopeful he'll have some great bloody wars, but I didn't really see this as the antithesis to WWE or the revolution that they're professing. I'm not sure this will be looked back on so fondly in a year or two, regardless of how the promotion continues from here. also I respect the hell of Dustin Rhodes for bleeding that bad at his age, man moved great and still has all the fundamentals down. he deserves lifelong respect from everyone in the industry and watching at home, and I'm delighted that he got this moment with his brother."

[7.0] "Watching this in 2024 I feel like this PPV was a Little Overrated. The First Half had some Decent Wrestling but I didn't care for any of it at All so it dragged on until the Last 3 Matches which is what everyone Came to See comes on. The Commentary was Rough which yeah I get it's their First Time but still it's a Criticism that the Show Deserves + the Women's Roster straight away Showed it was no where near the Quality of WWE's Women Roster. The Last 3 Matches we're all Good even if i think the Cody v Dustin is a little Overrated & Jericho wasn't that Great in the Main Event it still was Fun to Watch. Jon Moxley coming in the End was also Hype. I Probably would've enjoyed this Show more if i watched it with everyone else in 2019 but yeah I don't think the Show was Mind-blowingly Good to Warrant a Score over 9. There's plenty of NXT Takeover's around this Time that were Better Shows. so you can't even use the Excuse of that American Wrestling was Starving for a Good Product."

[8.0] "This was a really good opening show for AEW to sum up my feelings. Loved this show being in the MGM Grand. Even the weakest match on this show I thought was pretty decent, so I thought this was a very solid show from an in-ring standpoint. This show does have a classic on the card in Cody vs Dustin Rhodes; which I'll go more in-depth on during the match review. Alex Marvez, Excalibur, and Jim Ross are on the call for this; I have to say it felt weird watching this and there being no Tony Schiavone. Alex Marvez isn't the worst commentator but I'm still glad he gets taken off the desk relatively quickly. The World Title presentation on this show was pretty good; getting Bret Hart for it was pretty hug, and this also gave MJF spotlight to talk on the main show. The surprise debut of Jon Moxley (who just recently had left WWE) at the end of the show was a great way to end a very solid first show."

[10.0] "Double or Nothing war ein sehr starker Debüt PPV für AEW, indem die brandneue Company sowas von abgeliefert hat. [10.0] "Aew's first ever show and still one of the best Aew's shows of all time: Scu vs. StrongHearts was a great opener, the women's four way was the worst match of the night but wasn't so bad as people say, Best Friends vs. Angelico & Evans was another great tag match, the women's six man tag was also great, Cody vs. Dustin was an emotional war between two brother that had me on the verge of tears, Young Bucks vs. Lucha Bros was a crazy spotfest that I loved. Omega vs. Jericho was a solid main event with some great counters, hard-hitting strikes and some nice spots, unfortunately there were a couple of mistakes near the end that hurt the match and the finish was anti-climatic but overall the match was very good. The post-match saw the debut of Jon Moxley as what (for me) is the most important moment in Aew's history. Overall: the show featured all good matches and Mox's debut was amazing."

[8.0] "A very solid show for this brand new and promising promotion. I am really excited and highly hope that AEW is here to stay. The opener (SCU vs Stronghearts) and Lucha Brothers vs The Young Bucks are definitely the best fights of the evening and I really appreciated the MJF promo (this guy is a killer on the mic). It was a brilliant idea to bring the legendary Bret Hart on their first show to establish MJF as one of the biggest heels of their promotion by disrespecting him. By the way, I was far from suspecting that Cody's breaking of the throne was an attack on Triple H. At the moment, I recognized this characteristic iron cross with these skulls but I immediately rejected this theory cause it made no sense. What would be the context for bringing this throne back here ? I just thought it had an uncanny ressemblance but it must be a symbol of... I don't know... the Rhodes legacy maybe... But no, after I did my research, it was indeed the Triple H throne. Because, some time ago, during the WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony, Triple H apparently disrespected AEW. So, they decided to smash his throne in retaliation. I don't know what to think about this but one thing is certain, if you don't keep up to date with what's going on elsewhere or a little behind the scenes, you are clearly lost in this sort of segment. Anyhow, that was a really enjoyable PPV (the Buy-In was not terrible)."

[10.0] "What an emphatic debut for AEW full of great matches and ending with one of the company's all-time great moments with Mox's surprise appearance. An all-around classic show."

[9.0] "Usually I prefer to rate PPVs by averaging the ratings I gave to every single match, and if I applied this method also in this case the final result would be an 8. But I want to raise one rating because of the atmosphere and, in its own way, of the iconicity that distinguishes this event. Although for me there is no "masterpiece" match (I consider the Rhodes battle a bit overrated), it was an evening of very good wrestling and very good entertainment, but it's what generated and that great factor of novelty and freshness that made me enjoy it more. The entire AEW then developed from this PPV, and for this reason it must be remembered as one of the most important PPVs of recent years"

[9.0] "Double or Nothing sollte die größte jährliche Veranstaltung von AEW und das war schonmal ein guter Start in eine eventuell großartige Reihe von Veranstaltungen. Die beiden Frauen Matches wussten zu überzeugen, doch zeigt diese Veranstaltung auch die großartige Entwicklung, welche die Women Division in den letzten zwei Jahren genommen hat. Die Tag Matches waren dann beide gut, aber keine erinnerungswürdigen Matches. Cody vs. Dustin war natürlich das Highlight dieser Veranstaltung, obwohl die Erwartungen an dieses Match eigentlich nicht so hoch waren. Ein einziges emotionales Blutbad und heißer Kandidat für Match des Jahres in AEW. Die Promo danach natürlich einer der größeren Momente, die es in AEW gab. Das Match danach war dann nicht viel schlechter und hatte ebenfalls einige fantastische Momente mit zwei der besten Tag Teams die es zurzeit gibt. Der Main Event konnte nicht ganz mit den beiden zuvor mithalten, war aber ebenfalls phasenweise großartig und überwiegend gut geworkt. Verständlich jedoch nach dem Eingreifen von Moxley nach dem Main Event, was natürlich diesen Main Event völlig überschattet. Ebenfalls ein bedeutender Moment dieser Promotion. Rundum eine gelungene Veranstaltung und sicherlich eine Show, die man gesehen haben sollte als Wrestling-Fan."

[10.0] "Nach gefühlt 100 mal schauen, möchte Ich diesen 1. Geschichtsträchtigen PPV von All Elite Wrestling bewerten. Opener ein Super Match mit schöner Action und schönen Spots. Das Match hätte sogar meiner Meinung nach noch besser werden können, hatte aber leider einige Unstimmigkeiten und Kleinere Botches mit drin (****). Four Way Women's Match war Inordnung, aber hatte mir was mehr erwartet. Das Debut von Awesome Kong hat mich nicht grade wirklich eingeholt. Ist natürlich eine "Legende" im Women's Wrestling, aber ich konnte mich nie mit ihr identifizieren. Britt Baker ist dann die richtige Siegerin, obwohl das Finish leider auch etwas Botchig gewesen ist. Angelico & Jack Evans vs. Best Friends ein sehr gutes Match. Sehr schöne Spots und ein sehr schnelles Match (****1/4). Die Attacke danach von den Super Smash Brothers sehr geil gemacht! Six Women's Tag Team Match war Solide bis Gut (***1/2). Cody vs. Dustin einfach Das was man sich unter einem Hammer Wrestling Match vorstellt! Guter Aufbau, Geile Entrance's, Eine Idee hinter dem Match und auch die In-Ring Performance haben allesamt gestimmt! (Der Cut von Dustin war Extrem Böse! ) Einfach ein Instant Classic! Und was nach dem Match passiert ist, ist einfach Emotionen Pur! Ich habe noch nie bei einem Wrestling Match Tränen verloren, hier war es das erste Mal soweit. Danke für dieses Match (*****). The Young Bucks wollte den Fans das beste Tag Team Wrestling überhaupt zeigen und genau damit haben sie hier angefangen. Ein Fantastisches Tag Team Match gegen die Lucha Brother's (*****). Main Event auch ein Grandioses Match. Und dann auch noch der Überraschung's Auftritt von Jon Moxley (Dean Ambrose) hat dem Event noch die Kirsche auf die Torte gelegt! (****1/2). AEW Hat dort angefangen Spaß zu machen und das macht es mir auch 2 Jahre später immer noch. Ich hoffe das AEW weiterhin gute Show's macht und mich weiter so gut unterhalten kann. Das hier war erst der Anfang einer unglaublich starken neuen Wrestling Liga! Ich muss einfach 10 Punkte geben. Bis heute meine No. 1 Wrestling Show."

[10.0] "The All In PPV started AEW but this was the first official show under the name and I think it was actually a much better show than All In. Again, there was a great variety of wrestling and surprises too. It definitely delivered on being the sort of thing you always want out of a big PPV."

[10.0] "A great first PPV and PPV in general. With this and the following year's PPV, Double or Nothing is definitely AEW's Mania. So many good matches and an ending with the Moxley debut that left everyone feeling hopeful for AEW's future."

[10.0] "Ich kann da nur 10 Punkte geben. Eine perfekte Show. Guter Opener, der die Show gut einleitet. Kannte niemanden von den Strong Hearts, aber alle haben mich überzeugt. Danach kommt das schlechteste Match des Abends. Nettes Debut von Awesome Kong mit Britt Baker aber den richtigen Sieger. Sie ist nicht die beste Wrestlerin, kann mich aber irgendwie mit ihrem Charisma überzeugen. Das nächste Match ist ein Spotfest. Ich bin ein grosser Spot Wrestling Fan also liebte ich das Match. Mit dem Debut der Dark Order auch ne interessante mögliche Fehde eingeleitet. Danach ein Women? s Match mit dem Japanischen Women? s Roster. Viele mochten das Match, ich fand es aber irgendwie zu langsam und zu lang. MOTN Cody vs Dustin, Brother vs Brother, Generation vs Generation. Diese Story die in diesem Match erzählt wird, ist so unglaublich gut. Rein wrestlerisch nicht das beste, aber das Storytelling war das beste. The Young Bucks vs Die Lucha Brothers. Eines der besten Spotfeste die ich je gesehen habe. Zwei der besten Tag Teams der Welt, die unglaublich im Ring sind. Das Main Event war enttäuschend. Immer noch gut, aber enttäuschend. Mit Chris Jericho den richtigen Sieger und den ersten AEW World Champion,"

[10.0] "Genialer Event! Vielleicht war AEW DoN mein Event des Jahres... auf jeden Fall ist das Duell der Brüder eines meiner Top 5 Matches all-Time! Bis auf das Damen 4 way zeigte der PPV keinerlei Schwächen!"

[10.0] "I always kinda struggle when it comes to rating these sorts of things, because a full show is genuinely more than the sum of its parts. But I can say that I don't feel too bad about this one. The opening 6-man tag was high energy and introduced a load of fans to the OWE guys. The 4-way was a wonderful surprise with the debut of Awesome Kong, although the match was nothing more than adequate. Best Friends vs. Angelico and Evans was a different kind of high energy match, showing off some great tag team work, and the debut of the Super Smash Bros was super cool, undercut quite a bit by the fact that the crowd had no clue who they were. I get that the Elite guys assumed that their fans would be PWG Fans, but the Super Smash Bros are from like 2013 PWG. And then they only really appeared on indie shows and a couple ROH cards. The actual tag match was really good though. The Joshi 6-Woman tag was great, showcasing 5 women that the AEW Women's division can be built around, and Aja who's legend speaks for itself. I loved Sakazaki, Riho and Shida in particular and I hope they get some love. Cody vs. Dustin was shockingly not only a match of the night, but possibly one of the best matches of the year! It was dramatic and heartbreaking at the very end, and I had no idea that either of them had this in them. Bret Hart revealing the title was a cool little coup, and the MJF promo was great too. The tag match was everything I had hoped it would be: great storytelling and awesome spots. I thought it was even better than their match at BOLA a few years ago because of the story involved here. And in the main event, Jericho and Kenny put on a great match, albeit disappointing considering their previous meeting in Japan. Jericho's new finisher sucked, but the match was still really good. The crowd was on fire, Excalibur on a show of this size was super cool, and the set and ring looked cool as hell. Really great show and an amazing debut for AEW."

[6.0] "Solid ppv, obviously overhyped cause it's AEW, but it had some decent matches and a great one in Cody vs Dustin"

[7.0] "Gute Show, aber weit entfernt davon ganz oben mitzuspielen. Hier soll sich einfach nur gezeigt werden und das funktioniert auch gut, mehr aber auch nicht, dafür fehlt es an allen Ecken und Enden an Story. Der Opener ist ein nettes Match, schöne Spots, aber es ist halt einfach nur da, ohne wirklich tieferes Interesse bei mir wecken zu können (**3/4). Bei den Damen wird es kurzerhand zum 4-Way und Kong hab ich schon ewig nicht mehr gesehen. Aber das war wohl auch besser so, denn hier passt sie überhaupt nicht wirklich rein. Selbst zusammen mit Rose funktioniert das nicht, so das die beiden schwergewichtigeren Damen hier kaum was zeigen und nur am Boden rumliegen, das passt einfach überhaupt nicht (**). Best Friends/Angelica&Evans ist kurzweilig, aber auch wieder einfach nur da, ohne irgendeine Story. Nette Spots, mehr nicht, s. Matchguide (**1/2). Die 6 Damen aus Japan haben mich da schon eher überzeugen können, ich selbst kannte keine von denen und scheinbar gab es auch hier keine Story, aber die einzelnen Charaktere wurden hier gut eingesetzt, so dass sich einfach im Ring ein gutes Match ergeben hat, trotz kleiner Panne am Ende, das wirkte insgesamt einfach rund (***1/4). Tja, das Rhodes-Match hat mich dann ziemlich enttäuscht, da hab ich viel mehr erwartet. Im Gegensatz zu den meisten Matches auf der Card, die ohne Story einfach nur Spots geliefert haben, gab es hier eigentlich fast nur Story, dafür war es im Ring maximal durchschnittlich. Alles rund um das Match hat gestimmt, die Action im Ring aber mal gar nicht, das wirkte sehr WWE-like nur halt mit viel Blut, s. Matchguide (***). Young Bucks/Lucha Brothers dann wieder ein Spotfest mit wenigstens etwas Hintergrundstory, die auch halbwegs am Anfang im Match rüberkam. Das wirkte schon insgesamt recht rund, nur dass es zum Ende wieder mal übertrieben wurde mit Aktionen und Kick-Outs, das ist einfach zu viel und sinnlos, ohne den Kram wäre es wirklich ein sehr gutes Match (****). Jericho/Omega im Main Event haben auch eine bekannte Geschichte miteinander und man muss das Match zwangsweise mit ihrem Match bei WrestleKingdom vergleichen. Hier sind beide doch mit angezogener Handbremse unterwegs und können nicht mehr ganz auf dem selben Level performen. Auch einige Aktionen sind recht verbotcht, trotzdem insgesamt noch ein wirklich gutes Match (****). Die anderen Elemete der Show, wie das Post-Match-Segment der Rhodes-Brüder oder Moxleys Auftritt am Ende waren alle auch noch mal gut eingebracht und werten alles noch mal auf, aber gerade die ersten Matches ziehen die Gesamtwertung doch nach unten."

[7.0] "It was a pretty solid show with most matches being great, the highlight of the night has to be Young Bucks VS Lucha Bros."

[7.0] "Mit Cody und den Young Bucks hat man zwei wirklich gute Matches. Der Rest ist bis auf den Main Event dann auch solid bis unterhaltsam."

[7.0] "Double Or Nothing geht als erster AEW-PPV in die Geschichte und rückblickend merkt man, dass man inhaltlich noch gar nicht so weit war und eigentlich nur showcasen wollte, wofür man stehen möchte. Das klappt gut (Young Bucks vs. Lucha Bros & Cody vs. Dustin) oder es klappt so gar nicht (Damen Four Way und das zweite Tag Team Match des Abends). Die Mischung ist nicht immer ideal, aber deutet schon oft an, was da geht und Kenner der Szenen wissen ja auch um das durchaus gute Roster. Vom Main Main Event habe ich mehr erwartet, aber da entschädigt ja das Aftermath. Unterhaltsamer Event, aber durchaus mit ein paar Längen und nicht allem auf den Punkt."

[9.0] "One of my favorite PPVs; made me excited for wrestling in a way I haven't been since MITB 2011, and this felt even better. This whole card is stacked with great matches, great pacing, great announcing and a whole other ton of talent. They had something to prove, and they really did. This show sold me entirely on AEW in only 4 hours. Warm 9."

[8.0] "SCU vs Strong Hearts war genau an der richtigen Stelle auf der Card viel Action und klasse Spots (****1/4) Das Damen Matchl sehe ich zwiegespalten Kylie  Rae ein Jammer das sie nicht bei AEW geblieben ist und Britt Baker haben hier klasse harmoniert und konnten abliefern als sie im Spotlight standen  Rose war solala doch Awesome Kong war ein Fremdkörper in dem Match sie ist nicht mehr auf dem Level auf dem sie war ein Angle am Ende des Matches hätte ihrem Debüt besser getan (**1/4) Best Friends VS Ancelico & Evans (***1/2) Hat etwas am fehlenenden Leitfaden im Match gebraucht um bei mir zu Punkten doch dann würde es Vorallem zum Ende hin sehr sehenswert, Das After Match war dann ein gelungenes Debüt der Dark Order auch wenn die Crowd nicht wirklich was mit ihnen anfangen konnte. Dustin vs Cody MOTN mehr muss man nicht sagen und sicher in der Top 10 meiner Lieblingsmatches  aus diesem Jahr! Klasse das Bret Hart den AEW Title Präsentiert MJF's  Promo einfach Gold! Lucha Bros vs Young Bucks (****) Der Main Event war besser als ihr WK Match finde ich weil ich dieses Garbage Zeug als unpassend empfand Das hier war für das was Jericho ins seinem Alter leisten kann mehr als in Ordnung (***3/4) Und das Debüt von Moxley war dann die Kirsche auf der Sahnetorte!"

[8.0] "Eine richtig gute Show, mit einem doch etwas entäuschendem Main-Event. Das Match der beiden Rhodes-Brüder hat alles in den Schatten gestellt - definitiv Kandidat für das Match des Jahres - was den Spannungsbogen der Show ziemlich durcheinander gewürfelt hat. Daran konnte dann der Auftritt von Moxley ganz zum Schluss auch nix mehr ändern. Das Damen Six Man Tag Team Match hat sich nach dem Timekeeperbotch auch etwas seltsam angefühlt, leider. Eine 10 ist die Show jedoch noch lange nicht, da schwingt wohl doch sehr viel Hype mit. Auch der Kommentar von Alex Marwes war oft etwas arkward und Jim Ross muss auch erstmal wieder in die Kommentatorenrolle reinfinden. Ich würde eine 8, 5 geben und ich runde bei Bewertungen prinzipiell immer ab. Das Debut der AEW ist damit auf jeden Fall gelungen. :3"

[6.0] "I thought this show was good, but far from blow-me-away good. I thought the show had a good feel to it, a good vibe and energy. The crowd was good and invested. The post-match of the main event with Moxley got a real good pop and was exciting, as was him climbing the giant poker chip props on the stage to lay out Kenny. But I just wasn't as into most of the matches as some people seemed to be (and was more into at least one of the matches than those people seemed to be). The main event stunk, and I honestly almost wish it was positioned two matches down, because both Cody/Dustin and Young Bucks/Lucha Bros. were better. Young Bucks/Lucha Bros. was a really fun match that would have been fine as a main event. But Omega/Jericho also kinda had to go on last because of the Moxley debut. Still, the show was fun."

[8.0] "Good ppv, even if it does seem to be exceedingly overhyped. The woman's four way was week as hell and paled in comparison to the six joshi match. The amount Dustin bled was kind of disturbing, he was absolutely leaking blood. The Jericho/Kenny finish came out of absolutely nowhere and was more surprising rather than brilliant. Overall though, more promising signs for AEW."

[8.0] "The stakes, hopes and prayers people have invested into AEW may have blinded them to some faults and, rest assured, there were faults. For all its talk of wanting a more "sports-like" product, some questionable gimmicks (including a run-in by a faction which rather unpleasantly evokes WCW's 'Dungeon of Doom') drag it down. Commentary is spotty. But on the whole it inspires hope, not the least of which for its superlative AAA World Tag Team Title match and its career-defining, epoch-shattering, mind-bustingly good Cody and Dustin operetta. Growing pains are inevitable, but the highs more than overcome them."

[9.0] "Genau so sollte die Debüt Show einer neuen Liga aussehen. SCU vs SH ist gleich mal ein richtig spaßiger Opener, habe vorher weder von Lindaman noch von T-Hawk was gesehen und die beiden konkten mich direkt überzeugen (9/10). Das 4-Way lebt vom schönen Moment bezüglich Awesome Kong, die Matchqualität ist aber nicht mehr als. solide (7/10). Best Friends vs A&JE lebt von vielen innovativen Spots, macht dementsprechend richtig Bock(8, 5/10). Das Six Women Match ist dann nochmal nen Tick besser als die andere Multi Men Action. Kannte keine Dame vorher und die reißen hier die Hütte ab. Bombe! (9, 5/10) Cody vs Dustin ist dann für mich ein perfektes Wrestlingmatch, es hat nicht die krassen Moves, aber eine göttliche Matchstory und ein emotionales Aftermath (10/10). Young Bucks vs Lucha Bros ist Spotwrestling. Nicht mehr , nicht weniger. Aber sehr gut ausgeführt und spaßig (9/10). Der Main Event ist dann leider ziemlich öde zu Beginn. Dazu noch ein abruptes Ende (6, 5/10) Insgesamt 59, 5/70 = 8, 5/10 Punkten. Weil es ne geile Debütshow war runde ich auf. Props! ."

[9.0] "Etwas zu viel Comedy, gerade in der Battle Royal, aber Alles in Allem eine sehr unterhaltsame Show. Cody RHODES vs. Dustin Rhodes war eindeutig Match des Abends. Das Auftauchen von Jon Moxley hat den Abend schön abgerundet."

[10.0] "Amazing Wrestling event, this is the best AEW could have done for his first show. Surprises and great action. Bret Hart, Jon Moxley, Christopher Daniels singing... it's all over the top and it's great. Cody vs Dustin is a great match with an emotional post-match between the two brothers. Jericho vs Omega is okay as a main event, Young Bucks vs Lucha Brothers is fantastic. Also the rest of the show is good. Double or Nothing is certainly a Double-win for AEW."

[9.0] "Eine wirklich sehr gut Show die AEW bei ihrem Debut abliefert. Eine großartig aufgelegte Crowd und eine sehr schöne Halle. Also alles vorbereitet für einen guten Event. Toller Start mit dem Six Man Tag Team Match. SCU sorgen direkt für gute Stimmung. Die Japaner haben ich bis auf CIMA das erste mal gesehen. Konnten alle überzeugen. Gutes Match und die Stimmung ist direkt angeheizt. Die Damen sollten als nächstes ran und Brandi hatte noch eine Überraschung mit Awesome Kong. Das Match war ok, mehr nicht. Es war gut wenn Rae und Baker im Ring waren. Die beiden haben mich auch überzeugt. Best Friends gegen Angelico und Evans fand ich gut. Schönes Tag Team Match. Der Angriff der Dark Order hat mir gefallen auch wenn die Leute die beiden nicht erkannten. Mir hat es gefallen. Es war am Anfang schwer die Joshis zu unterscheiden, aber das ging nach und nach. Tolles Match der Ladies mit einigen guten Spots. Aber hier wurde es dann richtig gut. Cody gegen Dustin war in so vielen Wegen richtig und toll. Es war wirklich lange her das ich so emotional vor dem TV gesessen habe. Ganz großes Kino was die beiden hier ablieferten. Dazu eine Crowd die das Match voll gefressen hat. Ganz, ganz stark hier von den beiden. Eines meiner liebsten Matches aller Zeit schon jetzt. Die Bucks und die Luchas lieferten dann ein Spotfest der Extraklasse und das in einer Präzision die ihres gleichen sucht. Fenix ist für mich einer der besten der Welt. Das ganze zu beschreiben ist nicht möglich, einfach Wahnsinn. Es folgt der Main Event. Omega gegen Jericho war ein gutes Match. Nicht der ganz große Kracher aber immer noch ein tolles Match. Und dann tobte die Halle nochmal als Moxley in den Ring kam. Genau so sollte eine erste Show enden, mit einem Kracher am Ende."

[10.0] "Was für eine unglaubliche Show. Man kann vom AEW halten was man will. Aber das war ein unglaublicher Start einer noch so jungen Promotion."

[10.0] "Insgesamt ein mehr als gelungener erster Event von AEW. Vieles darf als Statement angesehen werden, die Zerstörung des Throns, das Blut bei Cody vs. Dustin Rhodes, Jon Moxley, der Entrance von Jericho und selbst das Match der japanischen Frauen. Man hat mit Cody vs. Dustin Rhodes ein fantastische Match in Sachen Storytelling, Dramatik und Emotionen - das Match fühlte sich so sehr nach Wrestling an, grandios. Ansonsten liefert jedes Match ab (der 4 Way mit Einschränkungen, da Awesome Kong sehr sloppy gewrestlet hat. Ebenfalls erwähnenswert ist, dass jedes Match anders war. Jedes Match zeigte eine andere Facette von Wrestling, wodurch die Show für jeden Fan etwas bietet."

[10.0] "The best wrestling payperview I have ever scene. That earns it a ten alone. It got to this point of quality content with absolutely no major broadcasting format. They attracted 12k fans with youtube videos alone. It can't be expained as just Hype. AEW=Future"

[8.0] "Natürlich wird die wahnsinnige Euphorie, die dieses Event umgibt, davon getragen, dass endlich mal jemand in solch einer Größenordnung veranstaltet, der nicht WWE heißt. Eine gute Show war es in der Tat. Allerdings gab es auch einige Dinge, die recht holprig waren. Die Matches waren größtenteils solide bis gut. Wobei das Rhodes Match das Zeug zum Klassiker hat. Für meinen Geschmack war mir ansonsten zu viel Multi-Men-Gedöns dabei und es war mir teilweise zu spotlastig. Im Main Event haben sich auch zwei, drei Botches eingeschlichen + plus eines telegrafierten Table Spots, den ich ziemlich albern fand. Im Battle Royal war mir außerdem ein Bisschen zu viel WrestleCrap enthalten. Soll jetzt nicht heißen, dass die genannten Matches schlecht waren. Aber ganz so krass vermag ich sie nicht zu feiern. Ansonsten war die Produktion super und die Atmosphäre etwas, was man so schon seit gefühlten 15 Jahren nicht mehr gehört hat. Eine Standortbestimmung zugunsten von AEW, auch wenn einige Ungereimtheiten in der Kameraführung zustande kamen. Allerdings würde ich für die Zukunft empfehlen, entweder auf Alex Marvez zu verzichten oder diesen intensiv anzulernen. Denn der Typ geht mal gar nicht als Kommentator. Da schlafen einem ja die Füße ein!"

[8.0] "Eines der besten amerikanischen Events des Jahres! Dies könnte ein einschneidendes Erlebnis sein, wenn es mit AEW so hoch geht wie alle erhoffen. Der Opener sorgte für schnelle Action. Ein guter Einstieg für die heiße Crowd. Auch wenn die Japaner Kaz & Daniels manchmal alt aussehen lassen haben, insbesondere Kaz, der teilweise sehr sloppy wurde, entertainte dieses Match trotzdem. Es folgten seeeeeeeehr viele Filler Matches. Eine wirklich sehr uninteressante Undercard hat AEW hier an den Tag gelegt. Nach all diesen Fillern kommt das Highlight der Card (Codys Entrance lol). Das beste Bruder vs. Bruder Match der Geschichte. Durch die Brutalität wurde ich an Storm vs. Harris 2007 erinnert. Ein sehr intensives Match mit einer fantastischen Matchstory. Ich bin überrascht, dass Dustin trotz seines 50-jährigen Körpers so gut austeilt im Ring. Ein fantastisches Match wirklich. Nach einer sehr überzeugenden MJF Heel Promo und Titel-Feier AEWs führten wir mit einem exzellenten Tag Team Match fort. The YBs harmonierten perfekt mit den Lucha Bros. Vielleicht technisches MOTN. Es gab keine verschwendete Sekunde. Mega gut ausgeführte Tag Team Action. Spannung mit unzähligen Near Falls mit Aktionen, die jedes andere Match hätte beenden können. Einfach ein spannendes modernes Wrestling Match mit High Flying Aktionen, die einem aus den Socken hauen. Der Main Event war widerrum nicht mehr als okay. Schade, dass das das erste Kenny Omega Match seit Monaten ist. Viel zu lang geworden. Jericho gasste schnell aus, auch wenn er gut mitgehalten hat, merkt man schon, dass Kenny dieses Match definitiv kontrolliert. Es gabe sehr langsame Phasen innerhalb dieses Matches, die nie richtig aufgebaut wurden. Kein Tempo in diesem Match und das mit der Länge war zumindest für mich sehr ermüdend. Jedoch war der Post Match Beatdown von Jon Moxley das lange Match wert. Ich hoffe, dass er in den Indies abreißt."

[7.0] "Definitely a few kinks to work out, especially when it comes to camera work. First half of the show was pretty standard. Second half was more entertaining but the main event was a bit of a let-down. Pretty good mostly due to the final three matches, even with Omega vs Jericho being relatively weak for a main event. The Joshi tag match was okay too. The other matches drag this down but the show ended in an entertaining manner."

[8.0] "Die AEW liefert ab - und zwar ordentlich. Natürlich ist das noch nicht alles ausbalanciert, die Performer auf der großen Bühne noch nicht so richtig am Mann, aber das was man zu sehen bekommt, ist handwerklich überzeugend und äussert professionell produziert. Der Einstieg in die Show fällt besonders durch die beiden bekannten Gesichter Daniels und Kaz leicht, zudem bringen die Damen in beiden Matches wirklich gute Leistungen. Insgesamt bin ich aber kein großer Fan dieser reinen Spotfest-Geschichten, die hier gerade im Tag-Bereich über die gesamte Veranstatlung verteilt überpräsent wirken. Da lobe ich mir dann den Kracher zwischen den Rhodes-Brüdern, denn das ist old-school Textbook mit allen Facetten. Der Mainer enttäuscht nur im Finish, was dann aber durch den Überraschungsauftritt des ehemaligen Dean Ambrose, aka Jon Moxley, mehr als gekittet wird. Eine gute Show, die so sicherlich Appetit auf mehr macht."

[8.0] "We need more show like this. For the first show ever it was really enjoyable. There have been some mistakes but it's perfectle normal. Very good the opening match, incredible bloodbath between Cody and Dustin, Young Bucks vs Lucha Brothers was amazing, andvery hard-hitting match between Omega and JEricho (too bad for the final botch), and the debut of Jon Moxley was cherry on the cake. I hope AEW can make it the difference in this business."

[9.0] "A very strong debut event. The Rhodes brothers turned in a modern classic of wrestling storytelling in a match that's among the career-best for both; Jericho vs. Omega was a good second chapter in their rivalry and set up a solid (if somewhat predictable) main for All Out in Jericho vs. Page (as well as featuring the memorable surprise debut of Jon Moxley); the Bucks-Lucha Bros. bout was as fun as you'd expect; the opening battle royal was rather fun if somewhat predictable once Page appeared, and the rest of the card was a solid showcase of talent. Not perfect; there were a few hiccups (i. e. not having a non-trademarked name ready to go for Super Smash Bros. so they could be properly introduced), but overall a good start for what hopefully will shake out as a great new promotion."

[10.0] "This is how you make a debut. Several showcase matches throughout to show just what AEW would be about, while also having the emotional punch of Cody/Dustin. SCU vs the OWE guys was a showcase for the synchronicity and athleticism of the OWE guys (****), the women's 4-way was the worst match on the card and was still a pretty good showcase for that division (***), Best Friends vs Angelico/Evans was a good showcase for their tag division (****), the Joshi 6-women tag worked as a great showcase for their Joshi talents (****), Cody/Dustin is in the running for MOTY with an emotional, brutal affair (*****), The Young Bucks vs The Lucha Brothers was ridiculous in all the right ways (****3/4), and Omega/Jericho was a more compact, cliff-notes version of their WK match with some nice new ideas, and an already legendary post-match (****). Exciting start for this new promotion, can't wait to see more."

[9.0] "Wahnsinns Kickoff PPV. Hier hat viel gestimmt. Damit der Payoff passt empfehle ich BTE auf Youtube ab der Silvesterfolge zu schauen. Erstes Match 4* mit richtigem Sieger. Dann für mich viel Filler-Kram bis zum Cody vs. Dustin Match, welches dann sofort 5* wird. Intensität, Story und Atmosphäre zeigen was Wrestling ausmacht. Wenig Aufbau aber so konsequente Story, dass einfach alles schlüssig ist und man für mehrere Gänsehautmomente sorgt. Titelreveal hätte bessere Kamera haben können, sonst echt solide. Bucks gehen nach dem Programm vorher leider total unter, was sehr schade ist, da es im Bereich 4* ist. Aber nach Generation vs. Generation ist die Luft etwas raus, schade denn die Bucks liefern ein technisch perfektes Spotfest mit den Lucha Bros. Mainer dann nicht so gut wie das erste Alpha vs. Omega Match, aber auch locker 4*. Bei dem ganzen Hype bin ich erstaunt, dass so geliefert wurde, nicht nur beim letzten Match sondern beim ganzen Event. Habe vor AEW die besagten Folgen BTE - Being The Elite auf Youtube geschaut und kann dies nur jedem wärmstens empfehlen, um reinzukommen. Jede Story ist gerade interessanter als die WWE. P. S. : Zu wenig Librarian!"

[9.0] "Die Stage gefällt mir sehr gut, und die Veranstaltung fing gleich gut an mit Pyro. Etwas wobei man bei WWE verzichten muss. Es gabe mir ein bisschen das Gefühl ein WWE PPV aus dem Jahr 2006 zu gucken. Der Opener war sehr gut. Ein schnelles Match was technisch einwandfrei war und ein sehr gutes Tempo hatte. Es gab sehr gute Spots, jedoch wurde es auch nicht übertrieben. Die Styles waren verschieden und beide Teams wussten mit Tag Team Moves zu überzeugen. Eines der besten 6 Man Tag Matches die ich in der letzten Zeit gesehen habe **** 1/4. Der 4 Way zwischen Britt Baker, Awesome Kong, Kylie Rae und Nyla Rose hat mich nicht so umgehauen. Match war ok, jedoch hatte ich mehr Erwartungen. Vor allem von Kong war ich enttäuscht ** 3/4. Best Friends vs Angelico & Jack Evans war ein unterhaltsames Match. Ich finde es war für die 12 Minuten etwas übertrieben, jedoch gab es großartige Spots und es wurde ein sehr gutes Match geboten was man definitiv weiter empfehlen kann *** 3/4. Das Six Womans Tag Team Match fand ich besser als das vorherige Frauen Match. Wobei mir auch hier was der Schwung genommen wurde und ich finde das Aja nicht wirklich ins Match gepasst hat. Riho hat dafür die Show gestohlen und ich hoffe darauf mehr von ihr sehen zu können ***. Cody und Dustin lieferten eine brutale schlacht ab. Das Match war gut, wenn es auch was die In-Ring Qualität angeht, nicht mit anderen Matches mit halten kann. Es war intensiv und besser als ich es je erwartet hätte *** 1/2. Wow das Match zwischen den Young Bucks und den Lucha Brothers war grandios. Ein unglaubliches Spotfest mit faszinierenden Sequenzen. Vor allem Fenix war der Wahnsinn in dem Match. Kann es nur weiter empfehlen *****. Der Main Event war sehr gut wie ich fand. Nicht so gut wie das letzte Match zwischen den beiden, aber dennoch unterhaltsam. Omega hat das Match voran getrieben, aber Jericho ist immer noch ziemlich gut **** 1/2. Insgesamt eine gute Veranstaltung."

[8.0] "Great show considering everything, they couldn't have a better way to start this adventure, every match had a mission and every mission was accomplished, I had good expectations but the show was actually really great, I didn't feel this excited over North American pro wrestling for quite some time. The surprises were all well delivered and actually wanted by the crowd, Awesome Kong didn't do much in her match but she got a huge pop and nobody expected her to be there, The Super Smash Bros were met with who are you chants but they will make sure the audience gets to know them and Jon Moxley's debut was one of those segments we will talk about for ages, it symbolizes the arrival of a huge star during a PPV, which clearly describes the huge intentions of All Elite Wrestling. I also like how much the show was offered different styles: the Japanese girls, a very well worked main event, the spot fest style (Bucks vs Bros above all) and the intense emotion of Cody vs Dustin."

[9.0] "An incredible first event for the new promotion. Cody and Dustin stole the show and nice surprise at the end."

[10.0] "Awesome show, AEW hit it out of the park right off the bat. SCU/Strong Hearts was a great opener, Kong was an excellent surprise and the match delivered well, Best Friends/Evans & Angelico was awesome, joshi six man killed it, Cody/Dustin was transcendentally good, Lucha Bros/Bucks was the wild spotfest you'd expect, and Jericho/Omega capped off the night with a hard hitting bout. Moxley showing up looking completely revitalized was the cherry on top!"

[6.0] "Wird mir bisschen zu sehr abgefeiert der Event. Vielleicht habe ich die letzten Tage aber auch zuviel BOSJ geschaut. Stage war ganz cool: Mischung aus alter TNA Röhre und dezentem RAW-Set. Die Pokerchips in XXL waren nice. Aber wieso eigentlich 2 Tunnel? Die Kamera wusste oft nicht auf welchen sie draufhalten sollte. #SoCal VS Team OEW: (Sehr) Guter Opener. Flüssiges Hin und Her, ohne zu viele High-Spots. Fühlte sich mit Entrance aber wie ne halbe Stunde an. #4-Way Women Match: Oh man, fand ich gar nicht mal so gut. Awesome Kong zeigt vllt 3 Aktionen, andere Zeit liegt sie draussen rum. Der Big Boot gegen das "Beast" trifft nicht mal richtig. Die Schlagkombo draussen wirkte schwach. Entw ist die arg aus der Puste, oder hat Angst die Püppchen zu zerbrechen. Also die letzten NXT Women Matches fand ich besser. #Best Friends VS Angelico & Jack Evans: Aufm Papier gutes Match. Best Friends kenne ich ja von NJPW, und letztere beiden von Lucha Underground. Ring Gear der beteiligten eher unpraktisch: sahen wegen dem Neon alle so aus als wären sie im selben Team. Manche Spots zu sehr gewollt. Fehlte ein wenig das normale Wrestling. Das danach erinnerte mich an LU, nur dass der eine Typ wie War Machine in schmächtig aussah, und nicht dazu passte. #6WoMenTag: Ein 4 Count der nur als 2 Count bewertet wird? Das war schon derber Abfuck. Ich kannte keine der Beteiligten. Mir sind da aber nur die 21j Kleine und das Magical Girl im Gedächtnis geblieben während des Matches. Der Rest war halt da. #Cody VS Dustin Rhodes: Intensives, aber typisches Cody *** Sterne Match. Für nur einen Spot war Dustin einfach zu sehr am bluten. Nach 10 Chairshots okay, aber einmal in 'nem Turnbuckle reinfallen? Ende war schön. Die Titelpräsentation war irgendwie n Fail. Die Kamera hielt gar nicht auf die Mainplate, und nachm Gebrawle blendet man auf mal den Hitman von vorne."

[9.0] "Starker PPV mit viel actionreichen Matches und einer dramatischen Schlacht zwischen den Rhodes-Brüdern. Sechs von sieben Matches im guten bis sehr guten Bereich sprechen eine deutliche Sprache. Einzig die Präsentation des Titelgürtels hat mir nicht so gut gefallen. Mal abgesehen davon, dass Bret Hart unheimlich alt aussah und es mich als alten Hitman-Fan schmerzt, ihn so sehen zu müssen, hätte ich das gesamte Segment nicht wirklich gebraucht. Aber das ist nur ein kleiner Makel. Alles in allem eine sehr schöne Show, die man sich sehr gut ansehen kann. Schöner Start für AEW, der Spannung für die Zukunft aufbaut."

[8.0] "SCU vs The Strong Hearts was a great opener ***3/4. The 4-way woman? s match was just there in comparison to the rest of the show ***1/2. Best Friends vs Angelico and Jack Evans was good but the Okada zoom out took me out of the match for a bit ****. The Joshi match was great until the botched finish ***3/4. Cody and Dustin was a great emotional match ****1/2. The Lucha Bros vs The Young Bucks was probably one of the best tag matches I have ever seen *****. Kenny Omega vs Chris Jericho was not as good as there first match maybe due to Kenny? s broken nose ***3/4."

[10.0] "A great show that was even better than I expected. The 6-Woman tag team match was good, even though they ruined the finish by ringing the bell and playing the song early. Cody vs Dustin was probably one of Cody's best matches ever, if not THE best. Young Bucks vs Penta & Fenix match was incredible, as was expected from the 5-times best tag team award winners, and two of the most popular luchadores today. Omega and Jericho match suffered a bit from having to follow that, and even though the match was really good, both of them had much better matches in the past. Almost everyone knew that Moxley was going to end up in AEW for months now, but his debut at the end of the show still got a huge pop, and set up potential matches against Omega and/or Jericho in the future."

[10.0] "Double or Nothing wird in die Geschichte eingehen, ob als Beginn von etwas Großem, dem Ende des NON-WWE Wrestlings oder irgendwas dazwischen. Vor dieser geschichtsträchtigen Aufgabe und dem immensen Hype muss sich die Show aber qualitativ nicht verstecken, selbst wenn ich neben Details vor allem zwei konzeptionelle Kritikpunkte habe. Die da wären erstens die Länge: rund 3h 45mkn ist zu lang, besonders die erste Hälfte auch zu langsam. Lieber jedes Match etwas kürzen! Und zweitens das Personal: In der Breite ist der Kader nicht gut aufgestellt, was dazu führt, dass Leute präsentiert werden, die man auch später rein optisch schon nicht ins TV bringen kannst. V. A. Chuck Taylor, die Typen die nach dem ersten Tag Match den Beatdown gemacht haben und SCU fallen negativ auf. Ich umreisse hier die Show nur, genaueres schreibe ich in die jeweiligen Guides. Die erste Hälfte des Events bis einschließlich dem Yoshi Match war anständig, aber kaum mehr. Zwar bot jedes Match einen anderen Stil und präsentierte eigene Attraktionen - trotzdem hat sich das etwas gezogen. Die zweite Hälfte war dann ein Feuerwerk, die das Pendel mit Sympathiebonus ordentlich nach oben zur vollen Punktzahl treiben. Die Tag Teams fand ich dabei noch am schwächsten, da einfach ein Overkill, Rhodes vs Rhodes und Omega vs Jericho waren dann aber richtig richtig stark. Hinzukommen mit dem Ende und der Titelpräsentation zwei sehr gelungene Szenen."

[9.0] "Zugegeben, ich bin so gar nicht im AEW Hype mitgegangen. Und leider interessiert mich auch recht wenig in dieser Liga momentan. Aber die Debutshow war definitiv ein wirklich sehenswerter Event. Für die volle Punktzahl waren mir die ersten Matches leider nur Standard, und mMn auch einen Ticken zu viele Multi-Men Matches."

[7.0] "I didn't care enough to watch this purely because I wasn't sure if I can squeeze another wrestling show/promotion into my weekly schedule. Since everyone is talking about it, thought I should try to give it a chance and review it as I watch with an open mind. The opening six man was a solid opener that seemed heavily dominated by Strong Hearts. Good action from all. Regarding the four way, the introduction of Awesome Kong was done in a very WWE-esque authority angle level. Need to see less of Brandi Rhodes. Match itself was OK and got better when it was just Baker and Kylie one on one. Kong looked great though. Tag match follows. Lots of multi-man matches so far. Not a good thing. Match started as filler at first but got interesting towards the end. Good action on the last third. Plenty of flying. I don't know what exactly happened after the match, but I wasn't that impressed. The 6 woman tag was actually enjoyable. Fast paced and lots of good moves from the women. Little botch with the timekeeper was noticeable. I heard great things about this next match. Let me first say that the sledgehammer and throne spot was absolutely genius. It was a shot at the past, and I say with complete dislike of Cody Rhodes, who actually had his best match right here. There was plenty of Attitude Era mentions which I didn't like. Match itself was fantastic with Dustin looking awesome, more so than I have seen him in many years. Wonderful, story driven match with a great aftermath. I must say its great to see MJF on a big stage. He's been fantastic on the Indy scene. Sky's the limit for him. I'm no fan of the Young Bucks, but their entrance gear kicks ass. Match was a long spot fest at best. Lucha Bros made this. Solid stuff. The main event was a good match and a fun one to close the show, with the right guy winning. Brilliant aftermath. Last 4 matches made this show, where the under-card was OK at best. Pretty good debut for AEW."

[8.0] "Ich hab die Show wirklich gerne gesehen, und weil es die Debutshow für AEW war bin ich auch gerne großzügig mit der Punktevergabe. Leider konnten nicht alle Matches die vorher gemachten Erwartungen erfüllen. Der Fatal Four Way war schlichtweg langweilig. Auch das nachfolgende Tag Team Match wirkte auf mich viel zu gekünstelt, um ernstgenommen zu werden, paar nette Spots, kam aber kaum über schlechten Durchschnitt hinaus. Das Brudermatch zwischen Cody und Dustin lebte vor allem von der Emotionalität, und auf das übertriebene Blutvergiessen kann ich verzichten. Das Ende war natürlich ein großartiger Moment, keine Frage. Nicht ganz die allerdings extrem hohen Erwartungen erfüllt hat auch das Main Event zwischen Jericho und Omega. War wirklich gut, aber nicht ganz so außergewöhnlich, wie ich mir das erhofft hätte. Das Ende mit dem Auftauchen von Jon Moxley war natürlich absolut genial. Richtig gut gefallen hat mir der Starter zwischen der SCU und den Strong Hearts. Sehr kurzweilig, viele schöne Spots und als altem TNA-fan schlägt mir das Herz eh höher, wenn ich Christopher Daniels oder Frankie Kazarian zu Gesicht bekomme. Bleiben noch zwei Matches und die waren dafür aber so richtig klasse. Die Young Bucks und die Lucha Brothers boten ein Tag Team Match der Extraklasse, ein ständiges Hin und Her mit einer krassen Aktion nach der anderen. Für mich ein Instant Classic. Match of the Night war für mich aber das Six Women Tag Team Match, die sechs Damen haben wirklich die Halle abgerissen. Großartig. Fazit: Alles in allem ein sehr guter Start für die AEW, der noch einiges Großartiges für die Zukunft erwarten lässt. Nur sollten sie es mit den Seitenhieben auf die WWE nicht übertreiben, die nerven mich nämlich jetzt schon."

[9.0] "You couldn't have asked for much more from a debut show. Every match on the show ranged from decent to great and by the end of the night I was left wanting to see more. There were however a few production mishaps and the main event was disappointing compared to their first encounter, but other than that this was a great show. Cody vs Dustin was MOTN, although the AAA tag title match is also in that conversation, as both matches were incredible for different reasons."

[9.0] "Was für ein großartiger erster Event unter dem AEW Banner. Es gab wie ich finde nicht ein schlechtes Match und so kann man ruhig bei den weiteren Shows fortsetzen. Der Aftermath von Cody/Dustin und Jericho/Omega war absolut großartig."

Joshi Six Man Tag - [***3/4]. The Best Friends vs Angelico & Jack Evans - [***1/4]. Strong Hearts vs SCU - [***]. Awesome Kong vs Britt Baker vs. Kylie Rae vs. Nyla Rose - [**]. The Young Bucks vs Lucha Brothers - [**]. Kenny Omega vs Chris Jericho -[*]."

[10.0] "SCU vs. Strong Hearts was a hot opener - really fun action from start to finish w/ everybody getting time to shine (***1/2), the women's 4-way was the weakest match on the card, but still good, so that just speaks about the overall quality of the show (***), BFs vs. Angelico & Evans rocked my world - Evans is just so great, and so are all the other 3 guys, everyone killed it - my 2nd favorite match of the night, and it will end up being one of my favorite tag matches of the year for sure (****), the joshi 6-woman tag was very fun! Hard hitting, intense action between 6 fun characters (***1/2), Cody/Dustin was just authentic pro wrestling magic, one of the best matches of the year straight up (****1/2), Bucks/Lucha Bros was something I wasn't very excited for, especially since I heard they went 25 damn minutes, but they surprised me greatly by how compelling they made every moment of the match feel - pure, awesome spotfest madness for 25 minutes straight (***1/2), Omega/Jericho II was almost on par with their first meeting, Omega's performance was fantastic to say the least (***1/2). Quality matches everywhere + then awesome moments like SSB invading the tag scene & MOX. Big hit, this event was. 10/10."

[10.0] "Die Show war einfach von vorne bis hinten fantastisch. Die Matchqualität war überdurchschnittlich hoch, der Aufbau und die Matchstaffelung top, man hat nebenbei noch guten Aufbau für die nächste Show betrieben, der neue Titel sieht schon mal sehr geil aus, Moxley ging direkt steil, Game Of Thrones und HHH wurden gleichzeitig zerhämmert und wenn das der Stammkader werden sollte (und sei es auch nur teilweise), wird die Liga richtig abgehen (10/10)."

[8.0] "Jedes Match auf der Card war auf seine Weise unterhaltsam und alle Worker gaben ihr bestes an diesem wichtigen Abend. Auch bei dieser Liga hat sich Earl Hebner nun einen Platz in der Historie gesichert dieser Mann ist für mich der Highlander des Wrestlings, hoffe meine Ur-Enkel können ihn noch aktiv miterleben. Cody vs Dustin wäre ohne das extreme bleeding nichts besonderes gewesen und die Lucha Bros wurden meiner Meinung zu unrecht fast schon gesquasht. Ein richtiges 5 Stars Match gab es meiner Meinung nach nicht, jedoch war der Großteil im mehr als soldigen Bereich . Meine Erwartungen wurden übertroffen freue mich auf die Zukunft von AEW und bin gespannt wie die WWE sich nun verhalten wird."

[9.0] "This was great on many levels, but it was not perfect -- and that's perfectly fine. The show was a bit long with just under 4 hours, some matches lost credibility because the wrestlers did just a bit too much, long-term selling was a bit off at times, the commentary was a bit shaky a couple of times and the old guard looked (and sounded) old. On the other hand this was awesome: I enjoyed all of the top matches and the presentation overall was really good, from the camera work to the stage, the music, the entrances and the focus on professional wrestling stars of the present, supplemented by the stars from the past. The old guys -- Hart, Hebner, Dreamer, DDP, and above all Dustin Rhodes and Chris Jericho -- did their best to make this night work and build a future for stars from the present and the future, which is most important for AEW to be successful long-term. Special mention to Jim Ross here who, despite showing clear signs of old age, saved the commentary in the big matches from being too reactionary. The crowd was into it all night, which is incredible due to the length, and made the night that much more special. The main event ending was really great, it gave AEW a ton of storyline for the next events and all three stars came out of it looking great. There is room to grow the characters, the chemistry and the story of AEW, but this was as good of a first step as any wrestling promotion ever made. AEW gained a fan today."

[7.0] "SCU/OWE: Gut gewählter Opener. Kein Über-Match, solides Match mit beliebten Teams. Strong Hearts Sieg wäre mir lieber gewesen // Women's 4-Way war uninteressant & schlecht aufgebaut. Mich freute A. Kong, leider musste Rose so komplett ihre Zerstörer-Rolle hergeben. // Best Friends vs. Angelico/Evans zeigt die gute 2. Reihe im Tag Team Bereich. Attacke danach m. E. unnötig. War auch weder besonders gut inszeniert noch am Kommentar verkauft m. M. n. // Shida/Riho/Ryo vs. Aja/Yuka/Emi mein Highlight. Einfach ein sehr unterhaltsames Match! Zukunft, Vergangenheit, Verschiedenheit (Stile & Ligen). Sehr schön inszeniertes Match, das mir dann auch das seltsame Finish nicht kaputt macht. // Cody vs. Dustin war nix für mich. Ich brauch keine Blade Jobs wegen denen die Ring-Matte dann aussieht als hätte man ein Schwein abgestochen. Ich brauche keine billigen Shoots gegen HHH/WWE. Ich brauche keine Eye Candy Rhodes, die sämtliche Valet-Klischees erfüllt und dann wieder Referee-Anweisung widersetzt (ALL IN grüßt! ). Match war abseits des Blutes solide bis gut, aber auch Finisher-Gespamme mit Kickout-Orgie. Schöner Moment nach dem Match, der mir ziemlich gut gefiel, Bucks vs. Rhodes könnte ziemlich unterhaltsam werden. // Präsentation des World Title fand ich nicht gut, Hart wirkte hier nicht wie eine Legende, sondern wie ein alter verwirrter Mann. Design eher mäßig! MJF war top, der Typ ist ein f'n Star! Was Havoc und Jungle Boy da nun wollte, nunja... // Das Tag Title Match YB vs. LB war dann m. M. n. wie auch erwartet das MotN! Sehr geil! Leider mit dem nicht so guten Ende für die Lucha Brothers, wobei auch das mehr oder weniger absehbar war. // Alpha vs. Omega war für mich absolut uninteressant. Moxley dann ein cooles Debüt, wobei ich sowas im Main Event nicht brauche. // Fazit: Sehr unterhaltsame Show! Dennoch mit Fehler und Mäkeln, (Frauen-Booking, Cody/Dustin, Titel-Präsentation und ? vs. ? ). Kommentatoren (v. A. JR) waren für mich eine große Enttäuschung. // ~7 Punkte."

[8.0] "Purely in terms of matches this was a 7/10 for me but regardless of match quality, this is a hugely significant event and the production was mostly excellent so there's really no choice but to round that rating up a little. Crowd loved it, everyone gave it their all, great way to kick off your promotion."

[10.0] "Hammer! Einfach nur Hammer was ''The Elite'' hier auf die Beine gestellt hat! Jetzt schon Einer meiner Lieblings Wrestling Events Ever! Opener hat Gut auf die Show eingestimmt und hat endlich mal ein Gefühl von wirklichem Entertainment rüber gebracht. Alle 6 haben ein Super Match auf die Beine gestellt (****). Das 4 - Way Match war dann leider das schlechteste Match an dem Abend, aber auch gut unterhaltsam. Vorallem durch den Schocker das Awesome Kong mit von der Party ist. Best Friends vs. Jack Evans & Angelico war auch ein sehr starkes Tag Team Match (***1/4). Was Ich nur etwas Schade fand ist das die Fans in der MGM Grand Arena bei Stupefied und Evil Uno gechantet haben ''Who R U? ''. Aber die beiden kennt halt nunmal auch nicht jeder. Six-Man Tag Team Match der 6 Frauen dann auch Solide. Könnte man vergleichen mit dem 4 - Way. Cody vs. Dustin dann für mich das ''Match of the Night''. Die Geschichte dahinter und die ganze Storyline generell einfach Super gemacht und die Promo nach dem Match auch einfach ein Leckerbissen im Wrestling Business und Ich denke damit hat AEW schonmal einen ''Big Moment'' für sich erschaffen (*****). Das Match um die AAA World Tag Team Champinship Titles dann auch einfach Hammer! Beide Teams harmonieren einfach Super miteinander und Ich hoffe das es nicht das letzte aufeinander treffen von den 4 war (****1/4). Alpha vs. Omega II fand ich Persönlich dann etwas zu lange, aber es war ein auch echt starkes Match von beiden (****). Und das was das Match ausmachte kam natürlich dann ganz am Ende! Jon Moxley f. k. a. DEAN AMBROSE debütiert bei All Elite Wrestling und kehrt damit dem Marktführer den Rücken zu! Und das ist einfach Hammer das die WWE Konkurenz bekommt. Jetzt kann man sich einfach Glücklich schätzen Pro-Wrestling Fan zu sein! Fazit: All Elite Wrestling ist Da! Und jetzt wird's spannend zusehen was die WWE machen wird! Ich werde AEW aufjedenfall weiter verfolgen und diese Liga steht bei mir schon ganz weit vorne."

[10.0] "SCU vs Strong Hearts ****, Womens 4 Way *** 1/2, Best Friends vs Evans and Angelico *** 3/4, Womens Six Man *** 1/4, Cody vs Dustin **** 3/4, Lucha Bros vs Bucks **** 3/4 und der Main Event **** 1/4. Eine Unglaublich spaßige Show! Alle Matches lieferten über den Erwartungen ab (vielleicht Omega vs Jericho als einziges darunter). MOTN ist hier schwer da Cody vs Dustin und das Tag Title Match auf 2 unterschiedliche weisen Awesome waren. Der WOW Faktor war mehr beim Spotfest Tag Title Match da, aber die Pure Story und die Emotionen waren im Rhodes Match einfach so groß. Neben einer extrem hohen In Ring Qualität bot die Show auch einige geile Momente. Awesome Kong welche (wenn auch glanzlos) debütierte, das Smash BroŽs Debüt, die Titelpräsentation und natürlich auch das Debüt von Jon FUCKING Moxley! All around einfach spaßig. Mainstream Wrestling scheint endlich mal wieder "Cool" zu werden."

[10.0] "It's been an amazing show, what a start from AEW, this show might be the start of a new era in wrestling, and probably another wrestling war with the WWE, my favorite moment from this show was when Cody destroyed the throne that had Triple H's symbol on it, this is a message from AEW to WWE."

[8.0] "Mein Gott, was hat die Wrestling Welt auf diesen Event gewartet, der Messias, der Heilsbringer, der Westling wieder besser macht. Mal abwarten, ob AEW dies tatsächlich schafft, aber dieser PPV macht Hoffnung, sehr viel sogar, dass es sich bei AEW um einen ernsthaften Konkurrenten handelt, der auch dafür sorgen kann, dass WWE wieder mehr bringen muss. Bei dieser Show stimmte einfach alles soweit, bis auf die Tatsache, dass ich JR ein wenig Fehl am Platz fand, aber naja, dass ist meine Meinung. Nun aber zu den Matches. Alle Matches haben mich gut Unterhalten, von der Kickoff Show, wo man richtig Bock gekriegt hat, bis zur Main Show, alles hat mich von Minute 1 Unterhalten. Mein persönliches Match of the Night, war eindeutig Cody vs. Dustin Rhodes, da es einfach alles hatte, es gab ein riesiges Big Match Feeling, starke Aktionen, viel Leidenschaft und nach dem Match noch der Emotionale Moment, wo man sich dachte, WOW, jetzt haben Sie mich. Danach kamen auch gleich die Matches 2 und 3 auf meiner MotN Liste. Die Young Bucks und die Lucha Bros liefern geile Tag Team Action, Alpha vs. Omega zeigen harte gute Action. Das am Ende natürlich noch Jon Moxley auftaucht und seine Duftmarke hinterlässt, ist natürlich noch mal ne geile Überraschung. Alles in allem, 8 Punkte von mir, weil ich noch nicht mehr geben möchte und erstmal abwarten will, ob AEW dieses Niveau halten kann. Somit go on."

[8.0] "AEW macht eigentlich nur einen Fehler uns zwar zu glauben man könnte JR 2019 noch als Kommentator verwenden. Ross ist zwar nicht ganz so furchtbar wie bei den New Japan Shows, aber einen Mehrwert hat der alte Mann nicht. Bei Jericho rügt das Verfallsdatum auch so langsam immer näher, aber sonst tolle Show."

[8.0] "Rein vom Hype her, die vermutlich am heißesten entgegengefieberte Wrestling-Show seit.... ja.... Money In The Bank 2011? Trotz der fast schon absurd anmutenden Vorschusslorbeeren, lässt sich festhalten.... ja.... AEW hat enormes Potenzial und könnte sich zum ernstzunehmenden Konkurrenten für die WWE entwickeln. Eine bessere Einstiegsshow (ich nehme mal All In raus) hätte sich The Elite kaum wünschen können, hier stimmte sehr viel: Produktion, Roster, Booking... alles sehr professionell und rund wirkend, dazu eine enorm leidenschaftlich- engagierte Crowd, welche die Show noch besser hat rüberkommen lassen. Es war glücklicherweise auch kein Indy-Kuriositätenkabinett oder überfrachtetes Strong-Style Spektakel... die Liga hat während der Show eine eigene Duftnote setzen können und sich entschieden, variierbares, aber in der Gesamtsumme ernst zu nehmendes und mitreißendes Pro Wrestling mit motivierten, überwiegend unverbrauchten Performern und einem guten Mix aus Vergangenheitshuldigung und Aufbruchsstimmung zu präsentieren. Dazu eine gut zu konsumierende Länge, zufriedenstellende Ergebnisse und spannende Cliffhanger und fertig ist ein absolut gelungener Wrestling-Abend, der hoffentlich nur der Beginn für etwas viel größeres darstellt. Ich fühlte mich bestens unterhalten und bin tatsächlich All In für All Elite Wrestling. Mehr davon bitte."

[7.0] "Overall, this was a great way to debut as a wrestling promotion. SCU vs. Strong Hearts was a really good opener and even got some fans cheering for the relatively-unknown Chinese contingent (***3/4). Awesome Kong showing up was a huge surprise, but she did next to nothing in the match; overall, the match was simply decent and the worst match of the night in my opinion (**1/2). Best Friends vs. Sky Blondes had a few missteps, but was still entertaining (***1/4). The 6-woman tag match also had some missteps, but to its credit, it kept the crowd invested for a match in which almost everyone are complete unknowns to the majority of fans (**3/4). Cody vs. Dustin was GREAT; definitely the match of the night for me and it completely shattered my expectations (****3/4). Bucks vs. Luchas was just about as great as you'd expect from these two teams (****1/2). Jericho vs. Omega was great as well, but not as good as the previous two matches in my book. I also thought it was very predictable that Jericho won, especially after Page won earlier in the night (****). Jon Moxley showing up, while pretty predictable, was an awesome thing to witness."

[9.0] "Was eine Show. Die beste Debut Show einer Liga überhaupt und sie konnte bei dieser Card gar nicht schlecht werden und jedes einzelne Match war wirklich stark. Der Opener war gut gewählt. SCU halten erst mal eine geile Promo und danach gibt es ein sehr schnelles Match mit vielen Spots und geilen Tag Team Sequenzen, welches SCU gewinnen können. Brandi gesellt sich zum Women's Match dazu und keiner will sie dort sehe, ehe Awesome Kong rauskommt und ich absolut ausgemarkt bin, damit hab ich gar nicht gerechnet. Sie scheint nicht in Topform zu sein und zeigt nur wenig, doch das Match war dennoch stark und jeder konnte etwas zeigen. Britt als Sieger ist sehr gut. Best Friends vs Angelico und Jack Evans fing schwach an und wurde dann aber immer besser und hatte sehr viele geile Spots ehe die Best Friends gut over gebracht wurden. Das Aftermath war nicht so geil, aber geht in Ordnung. Starke Tag Division! Das Joshi Match war natürlich stark, aber es konnte sich wenig in die Gesamtshow einfügen, wirkte etwas fehl am Platz. Cody vs Dustin war extrem stark, was ich nicht erwartet hätte. Der Shoot gegen HHH am Anfang war unnötig doch das Match war geil und beide konnten endlich zeigen, wie gut sie sind. Dustin's Blut hat das Match tatsächlihc aufgewertet und es fühlte sich fast wie Hart vs Austin an. So ein emotionales Match mit krassen Near Falls und die Promo danach war sehr stark. Cool Bret Hart zu sehen, der den Titel ankündigt, auch wenn die Regie bei der Reveal nicht gut war. Bucks vs Lucha Bros evtl. MOTN. Nach dem geilen Match gegen LAX noch so ein Tag Team Spotfest von den Lucha Bros und auch die Bucks zeigen hier alles, was sie können. Richtig geile OMG Momente und die Sieger sind okay, bei AAA gibt es ja das Rematch. Omega vs Jericho war stark, aber schwächer als bei WK. Viele gute Spots, aber wenig neues und es endete etwas abrupt. Der Sieger ist richtig und Page wird over kommen und den Titel gewinnen und evtl gegen Moxley fehden. Geiles Aftermath und geile Show!"

[10.0] "In fact, we did not know what to expect from the show. But it is awesome! Goldust vs Cody are great !"

[9.0] "Der Opener war genau das richtige, um diese Show zu beginnen. SCU als augenzwinkernde Faces funktionieren super und holen die Crowd hier richtig rein. Dieses Match hat vielleicht nicht aller größte Story aber es hat keinerlei Löcher. Es beginnt schnell und dynamisch und steigert sich dann noch mal gegen Ende mit sehr hohem Tempo und guter Schlussphase. Ein gutes Match zum Start. Der Four Way im Anschluss ist ein anständiges Match, dass zwar kleinere Botches hat aber die vier ganz gut einbindet und gute Geschichten mit den David und Goliath Elementen erzählt und den Schock mit Kong hat. Das Tag Match danach ist zwar etwas weniger Action geladen als der Opener aber auch mit guten Spots und auch mit einfacher aber effizienter Matchstory um Evans der nicht aufgibt aber am Ende ist dann doch die Übermacht zu stark. Das Six Woman Tag weiß ebenfalls zu überzeugen. Hier dreht sich natürlich vieles um Aja Kong, aber auch Sakazaki bekommt hier viele Momente. Die Matchstory , die hier im Finish endet ist die der Lehrerin gegen die Schülerin. Cody gegen Dustin ist dann eines meiner beiden MOTNs. Selten ein Match gesehen, dass einen so emotional mitnimmt. Das ist vielleicht workrate technisch nicht überragend, aber richtig gut von der Story her, was danach passiert ist emotional, was davor passiert ist symbolisch - hier stimmt sehr vieles. Das gilt auch für mein zweites MOTN im Anschluss. Selten sieht man so innovative Offensive in der Ausführungsqualität und Schnelligkeit wie hier. Natürlich ist das hauptsächlich ein Spotfest aber um Matt gibt es auch Storyelemente. Das ME fand ich zum Abschluss nicht überragend aber wirklich gut. Jericho kann einfach sehr gut den Heel raushängen lassen und das Finish passt dann noch, bevor Ambrose wieder Moxley sein darf und alle umhaut. Außerdem gab es noch Bret Hart bei der Championship Präsentation mit MJF ( klasse wie immer) und das Lustige Librarian Segment. Alles in Allem eine sehr gute Show, der nicht viel zu den 10 Punkten fehlt."

[9.0] "9 Punkte, weil ich noch Luft nach oben lassen möchte. Die Show hat von vorne bis hinten unterhalten, kein schwaches Match dabei, alles hatte seinen eigenen Stil und Vibe und kein Match glich dem Vorherigen. Diese Show wurde nicht geschrieben, sie wurde gebooked. Und das auf verdammt hohem Niveau. Die Überraschungen waren größer als jede Ankündigung von Dixie Cater. Dieser PPV hat meine Liebe zum Pro Wrestling neu entfacht und ich kann es kaum erwarten bis wir Fight for the Fallen und All Out gesehen haben."

[8.0] "This was a very good first event, most of the fights were very good, the two fights of the pre-show were good, especially for the short period of Orange Cassidy, since the main show was full of good fights, highlighting SCU vs. Strong Hearts (****) opening the show, already in the main events Young Bucks Vs. Lucha Bros (**** 1/2) was MOTN, a great fight with beautiful spots but I found some kickouts half forced but still did not take the brightness of the fight, and in the main event turned out to be the weak point of the night the fight was very slow and the offensive of both workers was not good, in addition to having had the final blow (***), but the great debut of Jon Moxley managed to save the end of the event which slightly mitigate the fight between Omega and Jericho. I hope that the AEW was able to maintain consistency for its next events, because if it can be a good company to accompany."

[6.0] "First of all, plause for AEW on the production value and keeping it effective, straight to the point and easy to decipher. Commentary team was solid (JR was in good shape, especially) and really informative on matters, giving some serious pro wrestling acknowledgements. There were also a lot of good-to-awesome surprises, but on the in-ring action side, it looked as spotty/"indierrific" as ever, despite some angles and matches having consistent build-ups. SCU/oWe was a nice spotfest for an opener (in pretty much WCW/TNA style, **1/2 - **3/4), solidly enforced by the "ten count" rule. Women's three way became a fatal four due to Awesome Kong's debut, declared by Brandi, and had nice interactions and psychology (**1/4). Best Friends/EvanGelico lacked heat but had chops and big moves, an interesting follow-up too (**1/4 - **1/2). The joshi six woman was an adequate break and kind of introduced them to the fans (** - **1/4). Cody/Dustin had a nice "old school" Dusty-esque touch, blood and emotions alone to make it, and was solid (**3/4 - ***), The AEW title was announced by none other than Bret Hart, with a great promo by MJF following that, when he bashed Adam Page as a challenger (he snatched the win in the pre-show "GCW" rumble, on MJF), but getting his ass kicked by Jimmy Havoc, Jungle Boy among others, nice booking recall and role definition. Bucks/Lucha Bros was my MOTN and a crazy spotfest (***1/4 - ***1/2), while the main event was good too but kind of dragged as a "big moves" match(***1/4). The ending of the event was SHOCKING, though, and put some hefty interest in me, for wanting more in the future... and i am not that hyped anymore in PW."

[10.0] "Insane show. SCU vs Stronghearts was a fantastic opener. Very high energy and a ton of fun ****. Nyla vs Kylie vs Baker vs Kong was fun. Love the Kong inclusion and they all looked good here ***3/4. Best Friends vs Evans/Angelico was fantastic. Tag division is really shaping up great ****. 6 Woman tag was super fun. Nothing but fun all throughout the night so far ***3/4. Cody vs Dustin was absolutely incredible. Pure emotion and storytelling. A love letter to Dusty. Great showing from Cody and fanatstic showing from Dustin. Just incredible ****1/2. Holy shit at Bret Hart for the title reveal. MJF absolutely killing his promo. Dude is such a star. Bucks vs Lucha Bros was crazy. Got a little too heavy with the finisher kickouts at the end, but was still awesome nonetheless ****1/2. Omega vs Jericho was a fantastic main event. Not quite as great as WK12 but a fitting main event nonetheless ****1/4. And Moxley showing up was such a perfect cap to the show. What a wild ride. Absolutely incredible first show for AEW"

[10.0] "This is exactly what All Elite Wrestling needed for their first pay per view. This show had absolutely everything a single PPV could offer and more. Incredible matches with unique styles between them. Establishing of new stars and perfectly showcasing old ones. Storytelling in matches that actually evokes emotion and to top it all off. The big surprise right at the end. Incredible.
