[8.0] "I thought this was a great show and so far is my favourite New Japan show I've covered. This was also my first time watching a G1 Finals, and I really enjoyed it; everyone apart of the G1 really was clicking. My favourite match was in fact the main event; which is always lovely when that happens. I thought all the G1 matches on this show were great. The MVP of this whole show was Hiroshi Tanahashi in my eyes; who had an awesome showing throughout this show; I get why he's so beloved. Since I can't review the semi-main trios match I will say that it was a fine match that went too long."
[7.0] "Thank you! The G-1 Climax 2007 delivers on it's final day! Saving a rather unconvincing tournament. Tetsuya Naito -vs- Mitsuhide Hirasawa [* 3/4], Ryusuke Taguchi & El Samurai & Yujiro -vs- Jushin Liger & Jado & Gedo [* 1/4], Hiroshi Tanahashi -vs- Togi Makabe - (G-1 Climax '07 - Semi-Final) [** 3/4], Yuji Nagata -vs- Shinsuke Nakamura - (G-1 Climax '07 - Semi-Final) [*** 1/4], Minoru & Milano Collection AT -vs- Koji Kanemoto & Tiger Mask [** 1/4], Riki Choshu & Shiro Koshinaka -vs- Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Toru Yano [* 3/4], Masahiro Chono & Giant Bernard & Akebono -vs- Manabu Nakanishi & Takashi Iizuka & Naofumi Yamamoto [**], Hiroshi Tanahashi -vs- Yuji Nagata - (G-1 Climax '07 - Final) [*** 1/2] Nagata continued where he'd left off with Nakamura laying in the punishment, but Tanahashi answered back which was something Nakamura was unable to do. This became similar to these two's other big matches in recent years with except Tanahashi looks stronger and stronger for each try. I remember when they faced in early 2006. Nagata beat him up, but Tanahashi scored the upset at the end. But now he's able to stand on equal terms for the stiff-master giving as good as he can take. Tanahashi relied on his splashes once more including once to the floor and one from the top which Nagata kicked out of. Nagata kicked out of the trapped German too. There was some dangerous moments where Tanahashi was in trouble, but he's a slippery bastard and kept kicking out and getting out of holds."
