"The Heart Throbs (or Heart Breakers as they were in OVW) were a very entertaining team that never got a fair shake in WWE. In OVW they got over huge as a babyface team doing a comedic male escort gimmick. They were bought up to the WWE with no clear plans or direction and were not even given a vignette before their debut. They spent most of their main roster as enhancement talent mostly on Heat. Despite being beaten like drums for the best part of 6 months, they were turned babyface towards the end of 05 and even started to finally win some matches against job guys until they were fired after a controversial episode of Byte This. During the episode The Heart Throbs introduced us to their mascot banana who had the unique talent of defecating out smaller bananas from his you know what. Knowing what we know now about Vince McMahon and his defecation habits, its hard to believe that he didnt instantly fall in love with the gimmick. Instead Antonio and Romeo were fired and Byte This was cancelled forever."

They've since had relatively decent runs on the independent scene, both as a team and later on their own, with Antonio (now known mainly as Thomas Santell) still taking regular bookings today."

Check out their match against Regal & Tajiri on YouTube for reference). I can understand why people would hate the gimmick, but they were a competent team who could cut a half-decent promo, far from being one of the worst tag teams ever."

They are not a team that ever achieved very much success, but I do not think they were bad wrestlers or had a bad gimmick, they just got no push or development. That's not a reflection on them or their skills, which were perfectly fine albeit not extraordinary."
