Granted, it was a stereotypical gimmick which doesn't particularly age all that well some 20 years later. But their stuff was entertaining, and you knew as soon as their music hit you were going to have a good time. Giving them a 6 simply because of their charisma together and the fact they were entertaining as hell. RIP Shad."

[5.0] "I remember seeing the very first vignette for Cryme Tyme & thinking that there could really be something there. But they kind of flatlined early after their debut. They also had the unfortunate duty of being a tag team during a time when tag team wrestling was very low on WWE's priority list. They also eventually became a pure comedy act, which was not what I was looking for. They constantly did their "money, money" schtick, which became very old, very fast."

[8.0] "A blast from the past. When I was younger, I really liked the Cryme Tyme tag team, and as I got older, the more annoyed I got for them to never win WWE gold. Yeah, they followed stereotypes, but fair play to both JTG and Gaspard; they made this tag team work with their segments, promos, and charisma. Underrated and underappreciated."

[5.0] "We've already seen tag teams like Crime Time before, with the same gimmick, similar looks and same tactics. This team was no different. If only their skills were higher, maybe I would rate them higher. JTG was pretty much carrying this team, because even though he was smaller than his teammate Shad, he had much better skills. To sum up, just an average mid-card tag around 2010s years."

They were very over in a 2006-08 tag division that didn't really have any strong teams to speak of (outside of Miz and Morrison). I'm shocked they never got one tag title run as they definitely deserved it."

True, they did gain some popularity, but they were also booked very badly most of the time. I'm also not that impressed with the skills of either guy. Just not a team for me."

[8.0] "I will admit that Cryme Tyme did get very stale after their feud in 2008 with John Morrison & The Miz, but before that, you can't ever deny that these guys, Shad Gaspard & JTG, they were a great duo! Not only did they have great chemistry with each other in the ring, but they also were a pretty colorful, unique and different tag team unlike anything we really saw before! Before they got stale in 2009 and early 2010 before they rightfully broke apart the team, these guys created some memorable funny moments as well. Most of the segments they had in 2006 and 2007 were hilarious like the Ho Sale segment with Lita for example, but after their feud with Morrison & Miz, they hit their peak as a team and they slowly but surely became stale unfortunately, especially with their Word Up segments with Eve Torres. Seriously, in my opinion of course, the only thing that was funny and great about those segments was Slam Master J's appearances and antics and it got to the point where I became more of a fan of Slam Master J than Cryme Tyme, and that wasn't good for them as a team at all. However, with that being said, 3 out of those 4 and a half years they were a team were still great years and those are the years I will remember most about them and I will agree that they should've been tag team champions at least once!"
