[4.0] "The only good match in this whole tournament was Owen Hart vs The 1-2-3 Kid. A disappointment compared to last year's tournament, even with the right choice of winner. Just a very uninterestingly booked and plotted-out tournament, and that's normally not that big a deal because match quality is also a factor, but match quality just isn't here this time around."

[8.0] "Even with the obviousness of being used as a stepping stone for the Bret/Owen feud hanging over its head, this tournament was still loads of fun to see. You have Owen Hart putting on an all-time career performance, the Kid showing how much he can do in under five minutes, and a couple of 1994 WWF midcarders putting on a couple of solid matches. If last year's tournament was the Bret Hart show, then this one right here is the Owen Hart show."
