[8.0] "Besides commentary, Renee Young/Paquette has been great at what she does, and makes wrestling interviews *feel like* wrestling interviews. I cannot say the same thing for the likes of Charly Caruso, Byron Saxton, and other backstage interviewers we have seen over the last few years. She also has the voice of an interviewer and has good emotions whenever something is happening backstage, and her 'Close-Up' AEW show is worth a watch and listen if you haven't already. She interviews wrestlers who have a huge backstory to tell to AEW audiences. Of course the biggest flaw with Renee's career so far has been commentary; you might know, she was RAW's commentator for a lot of 2018 and 2019 and yeah, she did NOT fit in very well with the commentary booth, very often being overshadowed by seasoned-veterans like Michael Cole and Corey Graves. Besides the commentary criticisms, I really like Renee and she would do well as a wrestling personality in just about every wrestling company and environment."

Hasn't succeeded in every role that she's had, so unfortunately she's at a 9, but she is legitimately the best backstage interviewer since Mean Gene, and that's an insane compliment. Regardless, the WWE product doesnt miss her as she had no personality. Maria Kanellis and Terri Runnels were fantastic as interviewers and contributed to the show by having personalities that the wrestlers could interact with. I never got that from Renee unless they brought up her husband."
[4.0] "If someone were to ask me if Renee Young was overrated, I would say no, but after seeing a high 8 for her rating on cagematch, I would definitely say yes. Not really sure why she is rated so high here, maybe people like her interviewing skills? I found her pretty middle of the line in that aspect. However, one thing Young is clearly not good at is commentating as I could never take her seriously on her statements as she does not have the pro wrestling experience to give input on many aspects in matches. Overall, pretty annoying and cringy on commentary, she should have never been placed there in the first place."

She has no credibility and sounds like she has no clue what to say when a match is going on. Most of her comments are expressions such as "Oh my God! " or "ooo's" and "ah's". She's okay when it comes to handling the prewritten stuff such as telling us about an upcoming event, but that's about all she's good for at the announce desk. Unfortunately, WWE obviously like having a woman commentator right now & with Beth being a mom, I don't think she wants a role any more intense than the one she has with NXT, so I think Renee is sticking around for a long time."

As a commentator, she has a lot of charisma, obviously loves the wrestling business, and banters well, but she isn't the strongest. Renee Young setzt sich zwar angenehm von nahezu allen weiblichen WWE-Interviewerinnen ab, aber ihr fehlt dann doch die Vielseitigkeit oder zum Teil auch die Tiefe, um die volle Punktzahl zu erreichen. Zu viel affektiertes „Oh my god“ und künstlicher Hype, zu wenig authentische Begeisterung (gut, wer will ihr das verdenken). Ihr natürlicher Look ist unfassbar sympathisch und ich hoffe, dass man ihr eines Tages einen Platz bei RAW oder SD am Pult gibt, aber bis dahin darf sie ruhig weiterhin zeigen, dass mehr in ihr steckt. Aber vielleicht sind auch die Kickoff-Panels als pures Hype-Konzept und Talking Smack“in Teilen keine passenden Formate, um sich so zu präsentieren. Die WWE kann aber stolz sein, das Produkt verkauft sie oft sehr gut."

Außerdem ist die Kanadierin eine wirklich hübsche Frau, bei der man auch mal bei Backstage-Segmenten das Programm laufen lässt. Füllt ihre Rolle in den Shows perfekt aus."

Als Moderatorin auch sehr gut zu gebrauchen, als Kommentatorin sicherlich den Versuch einer weiblichen Stimme am Ring wert, wobei sie mir aber immer etwas zu sehr bemüht vorkommt, daran muss sie noch arbeiten."

Sie überverkauft sehr viel und scheint etwas orentierungslos & übermotiviert. Bei geskripteten Interviews und Anmoderationen glänzt sie und bringt frischen Wind ins TV als weibl. WWE-Moderatorin."

Als Kommentatorin bei NXT ist sie hervorragend und sie weiß mehr über's Wrestling als so manch anderer männlicher Kollege. Alles in allem ist sie eine hart arbeitende, ausgezeichnete Rednerin, die ihren Job lebt und liebt. Mir fällt keine bessere Frau in dieser Position ein, eventuell passt Veda Scott noch in ihre Riege. EDIT: Sieben Monate später gebe ich ihr die 10. Sie personifiziert die Termini "Kontinuität" und "Entschlossenheit" vollends und ich sehe sie schon als mehr als würdigen Ersatz für den langweilenden Lawler bei Raw."

Ich kann nur hoffen, dass die WWE weiß, was sie an ihr hat: nämlich die perfekte Interviewerin. Das sie darüber hinaus auch unfassbar hübsch ist und Ausstrahlung hat, rundet das eh schon sehr gute Gesamtbild perfekt ab!"

I feel Renee has done a hell of a job in both those positions since she debuted on NXT and has more than lived up to my expectations for her in WWE. Plus it's very refreshing to see a beautiful girl like Renee on TV who you can clearly tell is actually a big fan of pro wrestling."

[8.0] "Renee Young bekleidet einen Spot der erst dann auffällt wenn er nicht oder schlecht gemacht wird, den Spot des/der Backstage-Interviewer(in). man kauft ihr ab, dass es sie wirklich interessiert was die Wrestler zu sagen haben und zeigt angemessene menschliche Reaktionen die nachvollziehbar sind (im gegensatz zu den meist vollkommen oversellenden Anouncern) und das ohne sich selbst nach vorne zu spielen. Sie macht ihren Job gut. 8/10"
