He has consistently performed amazingly wherever he's been but his run in WWE is legendary and is still wrestling after putting together a Hall of Fame career. At this point he is giving John Cena a run for his money if we are talking about GOAT status."

[10.0] "always is going to be controversial with a subset of online wrestling fans because he is a guy who has been more or less a WWE lifer, which you COULD say has limited his style and potential for insane 5 star performances, but i really think you gotta give it up for Rey, man. it is extremely hard to think of anyone still working today with his pedigree. instrumental in getting highflying cruiserweight stuff over in the USA (obviously this can turn into a whole discussion about the WCW cruiserweight division but there's no question as to who the star there was) and an inspiration to countless other lucha guys out there right now doing incredible stuff. possesses a gigantic catalogue of matches that are no worse than "fun to watch" and often are a lot better than that, which to me kind of offsets his kind of wahtever characterwork and some of the more down moments in his career. love this guy."

Lackluster world title reigns and a fairly disappointing WrestleMania history bar one or two, Rey has deserved better than this. He has some of best looking ring gear in the business too. His high-flying offense is not only innovative, but it also doesn't look excessive, unlike some modern luchadors. A lot of Mysterio's offense is reactive, flashy, but also meaningful, and that's what simple lucha wrestling is all about. He hardly indulged in a million Canadian destroyers for the sake of lucha wrestling. Also, one of the best TV workers of all time, and his longevity ranks with the likes of Blue Panther and Mascaras. Anything less than 10 is a crime."

Here we have a guy who found success in America and in Mexico just for his look (masks, to be more specific) and his in ring style, captivating audiences no matter where he wrestled. Having a successful run that got a lot of notice in AAA, went over on American soil to compete in ECW and WCW, where he got even more eyes on him, having great matches with Juventud Guerrera, Psychosis, Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko, Jushin Thunder Liger, to name a few. The less said about him unmasking, the better. Then he goes over to the WWE in 2002, back with the mask on (thankfully) doing his usual luchador thing and even taking part in the "SmackDown Six" where he had great bouts with the likes of Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Edge, Kurt Angle and Chavo Guerrero in many ways, either teaming with and/or competing against them in an incredible time period that made SmackDown the show to watch during that year. Rey Mysterio Jr. even goes on to become World Heavyweight Champion, despite his size. Sure, it's possible he got this title run because of Eddie Guerrero's death, but at least it was a big and memorable moment that I'm sure Eddie would have been proud of, just hate how WWE went about it. While Rey Jr. remained one of the most prominent acts in WWE, the last big thing before his leave of absence in 2014 was becoming Intercontinental Champion in 2009, having great matches and feuds with the likes of Chris Jericho, Dolph Ziggler and John Morrison. After 2014, he had incredible runs outside of WWE, joining Lucha Underground and killing it over there and even doing cool appearances in Japan and Mexico, he eventually comes back to WWE and has had a pretty good comeback run since then, just wish we got some dream matches before he went back to WWE, but I digress. Overall, one of the all time best high flyers, super influential to the business, you won't find anyone in the industry who hates him, his legacy speaks for itself."

Without a single doubt, without Rey, you dont have Modern style wrestling. He showed that you could be smaller and still be a draw, wrestle great, and make the business money. 10/10."
