[5.0] "I don't know how Ricochet is doing these days, but from what I remember of his time in WWE, he was incredibly boring. Clearly, WWE doesn't know how to make high-flyers appealing, both in terms of promos and gimmicks, and Ricochet was one of the biggest victims of this problem. You can do all the acrobatics in the world, but that won't stop you from being boring."

[8.0] "When I first saw him wrestle he became my favorite at the time. He is truly amazing in the ring. The only reason I am not giving him a 10 out of ten rating is because his promos are atrocious. "I'm Kobe Bryant with it"."

[6.0] ""i didn't come here to talk", "then shut up", this is Ricochet's entire career in a nutshell. Amazing in-ring worker, but please, do not EVER make him talk. You don't want to put your audience to sleep"

[9.0] "One of the greatest in-ring cruiser weights of all time. And yet, there has never been a wrestler in greater need of a manager/mouth piece. He is a 10/10 performer with 1/10 mic skills--his discomfort with giving promos is palpable, even on his best nights. Prince Puma was probably the best thing that ever happened to him, and since I doubt WWE will put him under a mask (he's actually quite handsome, though, that's the sad part) and pair him with a heel manager, it'll probably stay that way. EDIT: Obviously, the previous words were written in 2024 before I could even imagine him being a heel, much less being let go from WWE. Heel snob unlikeable Ricochet was apparently everything his man needed to find his voice, and he's found himself an extremely comfortable and captivating niche as an obnoxious foil for just about any face that they want to pair him with. Having GOA as his back up enforcers works extremely well. It's frankly incredible that he found a way around his biggest weakness as a talent, and I have to commend him for that."

[6.0] "hes more of a stuntman than a wrestler i feel. Never really enjoyed him as a character at all. His heel work is just being a dickhead to people online and it really is cringe to see him make a fool of himself"

[6.0] "honestly a tough guy for me to judge. maybe has not been my favorite wrestler for a lot of his career and has historically demonstrated a lot of things i'm not that into - spotmonkey wrestling, mid-to-no care for "ring psychology, " cardboard characterwork, etc... there's a reason a lot of people will point to Prince Puma as their favorite Ricochet era, and it's firmly because it let him just be a fun looking body that does cool stuff in a setting that made sense. things started getting really rough for him in the WWE where he had to, gasp, TALK sometimes, which exposed his biggest limitation at the time: he was not only lacking in character, he might have had negative charisma, somehow. he was packaged as almost a kind of superhero character at this point and being a beyond bland babyface just was not working for him but fact is he wrestles in a stereotypical face way, high-fliers usually do, so they weren't about to have him start experimenting with character stuff any time soon. this was all accompanied by a lot of guys who definitely had been influenced by Richochet's work over the years finding their way in wrestling, and it was making him feel increasingly lost in the grand wrestling shuffle. lucky for him, he set sail for AEW and DID get to start experimenting with character stuff and honestly has become probably the most complete package as a wrestler he has been in his career. i don't necessarily love it, but he has managed to get a grasp on a character that is not completely wooden now that he has primarily stuck to heel stuff and sometimes manages to be a little entertaining on the mic, even if a lot of people still lap him on that front. still pretty much the same in the ring but with the addition of occasional cowardly heelish antics to fofset how inherently face-ish his style is, so that's fine. never going to be my favorite guy but i think he stands out in the crowd of flippy athletic dudes that make up so much of the indiesphere after being lost in the funk for a while."

[9.0] "(8.7) As a babyface he was an ideal dance partner who could do everything his partner did but did it backwards. As a heel he's running the whole dance floor. Doing fantastic work in AEW now that he has some input into his character. To his credit after his initial arrival as a babyface was mocked to death he shifted gears and turned into a great modern heel. Not just on the show or in the ring but also online. It's funny to think that Ricochet, of all people, keeps kayfabe almost always front and center. And he's so good at it. He's definitely a hall of famer and one of the featured acts of the high flyer wing. Has proven over and over he is much more than that."

[8.0] ""Show some love for Ricochet." Very, very great high-flyer and high energy wrestler. As a face he is shallow, awkward and very lackluster as far as personality and promo work goes BUT as a dipshit heel it very much so works in his favor for some strange reason. Heel Ricochet was probably one of the best things to happen to him."

[0.0] "This guy is acting like a total geek, not a professional. What he wrote to Sandy, who is battling multiple sclerosis, is absolutely unforgivable.Frankly, we can all laugh at Ricochet now. Despite having high-flying skills that almost no other wrestler on the planet possesses, he proved to be completely expendable. His skillset just didn't matter in the end. He achieved next to nothing in WWE.You can mock wrestlers who don't do moonsaults or 630 splashes all you want, but Hulk Hogan could make the entire arena pop and explode with a single body slam. Meanwhile, Ricochet spent his entire main roster run floating around on the kick-off shows. The only thing he ever won was the IC Title, and his reign was completely forgettable.Along with Will Ospreay, he is a prime example of what kind of wrestler you shouldn't be, especially since they are no Je'Von Evans. Ricochet has zero charisma and zero ring psychology; he is just a spot-monkey who can't evoke real emotion or tell a story in the ring. The days when he actually produced quality content in NXT are long gone."

[3.0] "Ricochet is certainly athletic, but that's about all the kudos I'm willing to give him. He does a great deal of moves and flips, but a great wrestler he is not. I doubt he's ever even heard the words selling or psychology. His look isn't atrocious for a modern wrestler, but it still isn't very good. His attempts at character work have been laughable at best and downright embarrassing at worst, with his mic work being borderline grating. His time as a babyface was unremarkable and completely forgettable as he had no discernible character, whereas being a heel fits him much better as he's naturally unlikeable."

"Ricochet is one of the most amazing wrestlers in this planet. His in ring performances are mind blowing (if you ask me). My problem witth him is his real life persona. He gets in fights online with fans too often. Maybe that is his gimmick? Anyway... not a fan because of the drama but I respect his talent."

[3.0] "Ricochet is a very talented wrestler in the ring and highly athletic. There are certain things he can do in the ring that are jaw dropping. He had some very good matches in NXT. And on the independence scene with guys like Will Osprey and many others but he lacks character building it's almost like he tries on new personalities every few months and when I say that it's like bits and pieces of other wrestlers from the past, it's almost like he is trying to find himself still he comes off very awkward with his delivery on things he has almost no mic skills and no personality"

[8.0] "He was big for me in NXT when he first signed, and is growing on me again now that he's in AEW and has changed up his act, but for five years in between, he gave me nothing to work with or latch onto. So he could go higher again now that he's doing good work again."

[8.0] "Ring skills - top level, I loved this Ricochet's matches, but when didn't loved his promos, don't feel charisma and character, just don't believe in what he says. But just for his skills, acrobatic and talent - I can't give this man lower than 8-8.5"

[6.0] "Man look, even before the current turn of events which has Ricochet in a really weird spot, I never got behind this guy. He's just... bland. Sure, I can't deny the fact that I'm looking at an amazing performer who defines gravity like nobody else, but he just can't cut a promo to save his life: when he appeared on NXT 2.0 with Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams, the duo literally buried Ricochet before he even said a word. When you're THAT notorious for being unable to cut promos, then I feel like any competent promotion should save this guy by giving him a mouthpiece. Would that change things a lot? I don't rightly know; but what I do know is that I'm giving Ricochet a 10 for his in ring work, and a 2 for his character work and mic skills, landing us at a perfect 6."

[1.0] "he could be great in the ring but if acts like a idiot on social media then I don't care about him. he has showed himself to be a fool lots of times now and it's not good heel work, he is just a piece of shit. the best moments from Ricochet are when Drew Mcintyre told him to shut up and .carmelo hayes and trick williams, look hes got a microphone don hurt yourself! . the recent MS Tweet proves just why so many people don't like him, just saying edgy shit and passing it off as heel work when he is just an asshole. the one point is for his selling and in ring work. have to say more so, he's has no mic skills as a face and has a laugh as a heel."

[8.0] "Ricochet can go in the ring and his promos have gotten a lot better in recent years. What I also appreciate is that he manages to get fans to clutch their pearls over really mild insults on social media. There's some rose colored glasses for ECW and WWF's "attitude" until something actually resembling it shows up then it's soft serve time."

[6.0] "Amazing performer, not a good character. Trying to be a heel buy insulting people on social media is always going to end up poorly, which is exactly what happened. To clarify, I was never the biggest fan of the stuff he'd been saying as it was only giving him a bad look every time he was saying stuff for the sake of cheap heel heat, but the most recent incident he simply just jumped the shark on. His heel gimmick is now very hard to take seriously, nor appreciate and the sad thing, is that he isn't the first heel to heavily rely on social media to elevate his character in terms of heel heat. I've seen other wrestlers do it and it's only made them look bad as well."

[0.0] "Prince Puma's legacy is greater than Ricochet's! In fact, Ricochet was truly memorable only as a Lucha Underground wrestler, but now he's the ultimate cringe heel. His character is incredibly cartoonish. Come on, they even brought in Zach Gowen to The Elite to give him a match against Rico, to prove what a "great and terrible villain" he is. Even if all his recent attacks on WWE are clumsy, they make him look like a weakling who's bitter about not getting anything from the promotion (he should be grateful for the secondary titles and screen time he was given, and even that was completely unnecessary). It's gotten to the point where he's just insulting people on social media and addressing their ailments. The dude has literally been wrestling for over twenty years, but still has no experience, becoming even worse than Adam Cole. LOL. This guy is literally a "Twitter warrior.""

[6.0] "Feels like a discount Will Ospreay. Can do all the flips and stuff well, but seems to care less about the finer points of ring work. Inconsistent seller and not believable when a match turns into a fight. Lacks natural charisma and is a blackhole of personality. Lacks any real instinct when he starts trying to cut a promo. Sometimes too a painful extent."

[8.0] "Ricochet is devoid of charisma and a pretty good flippy guy who runs his mouth too much on social media. I had heard of him for years before I actually saw him. But it was as Prince Puma in Lucha Underground where his lack of charisma was a gift. the creative for that show was it strength and they put Puma front and center and gave him Konnan as his mouthpiece. He soared to the top of that promotion, having the best matches and winning titles.. When he showed up in WWE, I was expecting Puma-level character building, but all I got was a wet fart in church. They guy has high-flying skills and knows how to be entertaining, but his lack of charisma is his greatest enemy."

[9.0] "Try to explain to a casual wrestling fan that in a point during his career, he was the best in ring wrestler IN THE WORLD. No jokes, he could do anything you ask him to do. Imagine an Will Ospreay, but much better and pretty much smarter, it was that son of a bitch. He came into WWE, which was nice at the beggining to see him at NXT doing some crazy shit and the booking made for him was good, not perfect, but good, and them he went into the main roster, Vince never saw him as a guy he should push, was slowly killing his love for the business and thankfully he made the change of promotion and went to AEW, showing the best he can offer. Great heel turn he had, natural and pretty simple. Always thought that his promo work sucks, but now as a goofy heel it feels a bit better."

[9.0] "Ricochet is one of the most under appreciated performers in wrestling of the past decade. He gets unfairly knocked by a certain type of wrestling fan who just parrots the same tired criticisms about him. But the reality is this guy is an absolute stud and one of the most athletic human beings to ever step foot in a ring. Everywhere he has gone that has invested in him he has been able to get over, so clearly he has plenty of tools to connect with a crowd. Whether it was the indies, NJPW, Lucha Underground, NXT, or AEW, he's gotten over. It was only on the main roster, where he got no push and was an after thought, did he fail. Currently Ricochet is doing great work as a heel and showing a new side to his character. It's a shame that few people take the time to actually appreciate the insane skills this guy has and instead choose to let a bunch of podcast grifters tell them what to think about Ricochet."

[7.0] "Ricochet is good in the ring and is doing probably his best character work in AEW, but the one thing that's stopping him is his promo work, I mean my god he's so bad at talking it's not even funny, he be good from time to time, but half of the time, he's terrible. Also, besides his heel work"

[8.0] "Always liked Ricochet as a wrestler but I'm growing to love him as a character now too. He plays the dirtbag heel to perfection while still having very good matches as well."

Promos have always been his biggest problem but they've spun that negative into something that works for him. With no disrespect, the comment below this one completely misses the point of Ricochet's online presence. "I think Ricochet's move to AEW from WWE is the greatest decision he has ever made. Being a heel really suits him and is a lot of fun to watch as apposed to his dreadful face work, he seemed absolutely miserable on the mic, no longer the case. AEW also has taken the baby monitor off of him and he is allowed to shine and take risks in the ring like we always knew he could. I think the next step for him is finding an angle in this heel character where we can find him in a deadly serious feud. Its fun to laugh at him, but for him to be world title bound, he needs to be taken seriously."

[9.0] "I think WWE really messed things up. In my opinion, he has good ideas and executes them very well; you just need to give him the space he deserves. I'm not talking about world titles, but at least letting him take part in important matches from time to time. Not to mention, he rarely has boring matches--even when his opponent isn't great he's very good at comedy and at selling moves that aren't anything special. I don't know, I really like Rico; in AEW he's living the best part of his career and I'm happy for him. Now he's in a stable with the Gates of Agony, and they could do great things. Hopefully, he'll get a title shot so we can see what happens."

[8.0] "Ricochet is one of the most athletically gifted performers of his generation. His high-flying offense is jaw-dropping, and he makes the impossible look effortless. Whether it's in NXT, WWE, AEW or even on the indies, he consistently delivers. Since stepping away from WWE, he's shown more depth in his persona. Heel Ricochet with the checkered suits, glasses, and obnoxious laugh is the most character-rich version we've seen yet. His ringwork and physical charisma are unmatched, and now he's backing it up with a distinct attitude that makes him feel like a complete star. He's appealing to hardcore and casual fans alike and wrestles a style that captures the imagination of young viewers. He looks like a real-life Spider-Man in the ring, and it's exciting to see him bring that same energy to his promos and presentation. One of the coolest looking guys on TV right now. This version of Ricochet feels ready for a top spot, and if this momentum keeps building, the sky's the limit"

[4.0] "Ricochet is a very athletically talented man who knows nothing about pro wrestling. He can do a lot of moves and he's found himself a decent enough character in AEW which bumps his rating up for me. But he knows nothing about ring psychology or how to flow a match. As good as his heel character is, he wrestles the same way wether he's a heel or babyface. His promo skills have gotten better with his character change but he's still far from good. His Lucha Underground run was great because the presentation he had where he didn't need to talk and had a mask on which made him much more Charismatic.Overall, Ricochet is someone who fans of Spot wrestling will like. I don't like him at all"

[9.0] "Richochet will never be a main event star but that doesn't matter cause he is easily one of the most impressive wrestlers on earth he's had some incredible matches over the years one of my favs"

"Ricochet isn't bad per say, but he's not being groundbreaking in terms of his in ring ability. He's good don't get me wrong, it's just that 90 percent of wrestlers are high flyers and care about quantity over quality. His mic skills are mediocre but can be improved."

[9.0] "One of the best heels I've seen in recent memory. Ricochet is funny, exciting, and plays the villain role so well. His triple threat match against Speedball and Kenny Omega was the first match I saw from him, and his gimmick grew on me from there."

"I don't need to vote because his current 8.36 is pretty much bang on already. And I don't know what Trevor was before now but I can tell you what he is- F'ing awesome. I hear he had no mike skills in the fed. He's killer on promos now. Hilarious. His ring skills are mind numbing. Liquid silk. Work pace. Energy. Speed. Intensity. Acrobatics. Power. Bumps. And very easy on the eyes for looks. Guy has it all, and a hot wife. Had easy street in the big show. And walked away. Because he wanted to stretch. To flex. And to show what he's really got. And when the fans didn't appreciate that in the slightest he turned heel and exploded. I remember when Ospreay signed with AEW and everyone said, "We don't need Ospreay, we have Ricochet'. Ospreay himself agreed. Now, AEW have both. Sure WWE has El Vikingo, Penta, the two Rei's. But what's the use if they're never allowed to Ricochet?"

[9.0] "Ever since his arrival to AEW there has been some very great improvement to ricochet and in his current state is a welcome addition to the roster. After watching his performance in the Dynasty pay per view triple threat it was confirmed to me that he can hang with the top talent and made me happy to have this elevated version of ricochet. I just hope he keeps this up though, because his first months in AEW were pretty rough to say the least."

[10.0] "Some people love to hate on Ricochet, not as a heel but as a person and as a wrestler and I just don't understand it. This guy was putting on 5 star matches in Japan when he was in his early and mid 20s! He's an incredible cruiserweight who can not only fly around but he's surprisingly well rounded and can tell a story. I don't care if he's not the best talker, he's improving at that anyway in AEW. His wrestling ability is almost as good as you can get. Just watch his matches in NJPW with Kota Ibushi and KUSHIDA!"

[10.0] "Definitely one the best highflyers currently and could be up with the GOAT highflyers once retired, he is a must watch."

[7.0] "His atheleticsm is undeniable, with match after match in his resume that speak MOTY: Vs. Ospreay, INT Title triple threat, NXT ladder match for the NA title, a lot of PWG and LA matches as well. For over a decade he has given cases to be best wrestler in the world with his high-flying maneuvers. However, him as a character is wholly uninteresting. His last real chance in WWE was his feud against Logan Paul, where Logan decimated him on the mic and we all expected a Logan win at Summerslam, no drama. He really suffers in his character work and seems completely against working on it."

[5.0] "Below average in the ring. He had a lot of potential due to how athletic he is but he never pushed on. These days he's been completely left behind by a lot of his peers. His mic work is below average and he doesn't have a lot to set him apart from other wrestlers."

[8.0] "There was a time where Ricochet was certainly one of the best in the world. Always smooth in the ring, was great as Prince Puma in LU and as Ricochet in prime NXT. However, his WWE run after that and his current matches in AEW haven't done anything for me. Hopefully he changes up his style a bit and invents himself new to become truly great again"

[5.0] "I enjoy Ricochet's in-ring work. Extremely athletic, awesome acrobatic moments, and even some of his oversells are nice. That said, that's all there is to him. He lacks presence, his mic work is almost non-existent, and whenever he does talk, his bland personality as a wrestler shows."
