He's a fantastic technical wrestler and a great character worker, his "coach" character that serves as a manager to Leon Slater and Cameron Khai at RevPro is the best version of this character I've seen anyone pull off. He could be a much more successful wrestler if he hadn't taken a backseat to coaching, which is where he really earns the 10. All you have to do is watch one of his prospects/trainees in action to see what a fantastic coach he is."

He understands the psychology and entertainment of the ring on the same level as AJ Styles and Zack Sabre Jr., and at his peak, he absolutely deserved to be a main event player in AEW. The truth is, he could still be in his prime right now--but he's taken a backseat to coaching and, in doing so, sells himself short. It will be a shame if the wider wrestling world never gets to see the full extent of what Liam Slater can do. He is world-class talent hiding in plain sight, and the clock is still ticking for him to show it."
