[6.0] "If you only saw Giant Silva during his time with the Oddities, then this current abysmal rating is fair enough; guy couldn't even get over the top rope on his first try during Summerslam '98. However, taking into account his career afterwards, then this rating is kinda harsh. He obviously wasn't a technical master or anything, but for a guy his size, he did well enough. He was pretty agile considering his size, even doing attacks off the top rope. He was also charismatic enough and had a good presence. Overall, he was never amazing, but he was fun as an undercard wrestler. Perfectly okay in my books."

[6.0] "Giant Silva was never going to be a great pro-wrestler like he was never going to be a great MMA fighter: I think even he knew that. His role was as a freakshow act, a insanely huge giant who could act as such in the ring: unlike Khali he didn't kill anyone in the ring either, and was generally pretty safe despite his immense height and strength. It's a bit of a shame he's got his reputation as a useless giant when as others have mentioned, the guy could actually do some pretty crazy spots for being a 7 foot+ guy who was also banged up from a career in basketball. He certainly wasn't lumbering, and that reputation was created by people who generally just generalised him as another useless tall guy like Giant Gonzalez who was only there because he was tall. Sliva wasn't fantastic, but as a undercard/attraction? Yeah, he was pretty successful. I don't get the hate personally."

[6.0] "silva did some tags with the fun oddities gimmick he wasnt paticauly good in ring but a fine lowercarder to have 2 min matches on heat and shotgun while being intresting due to being a giant silva was better in cmll in the 6 man tags where he didnt do much but was a spectacle attraction"

[9.0] "My fellow brazilian Grande Paulão doesn't enough recognition that he's owed, I bet he gets a low rating because he was too forgettable and for those who never watched him, generalize that he is sloppy and slow like Khali and Andre (the same people who rate them higher), because he wasn't allowed to get exposure due to being shadowed by ICP's popularity. He was actually a great athlete for his size, had a solid arsenal for a GIANT, and could run circles like a lightweight. Watch some of his matches in Japan, Mexico and even his return match in WWF Super Astros against Pantera."

[6.0] "Giant Silva's matches in Mexico and Japan were awesome, best giant they had at the time too bad WWF didn't use him properly. The Oddities was a fun stable but he didn't belong with them, he needed to be booked as a unstoppable and usual giant."
