Had to work hard to stand out in CMLL, but once he did and left the promotion, his resilience made up for it, becoming a talent that's known and appreciated all around his country. Never a complete fan favorite, but totally worthy of the main event scene, in my opinion."

[7.0] "I don't watch a lot of lucha libre, so I only had a good passing opinion of him, having seen him in the occasional little match. But I just saw his Heavyweight Match with Ultimo Guerrero, and the guy is great. Convincingly big and intimidating, he has absolute control of his opponent, he can fly and have big spots. I'm impressed."

[4.0] "I've never understood why CMLL is so hot on him: he's an underwhelming midcarder who's been built up to be the next big thing but has failed to deliver not due to spectacular error but due to complete mediocrity. No charisma, slightly below average in-ring skills and always feels like a fifth wheel in trios matches. There have been all sorts of rumors swirling around about how he was supposed to be given some sort of Blue Demon connection but given what I've seen so far it's just better things turned out this way."
