Darby Allin vs. Jeff Cobb

[7.0] "This was a very good match. Darby Allin played the role of a rag doll, as he was tossed around by Jeff Cobb like he was a toy. Actually, it reminded me of the early days of Matanza in Lucha Underground which, considering that Matanza is Cobb under a mask, made this more fun to watch. Darby did get his come back and despite his size, it was believable because Darby is willing to do crazy spots to take down his opponent, including a Coffin Drop from the top top to the floor. It would come back to bite him as he tried a Coffin Drop on the apron, but Cobb moved out of the way. Cobb then hit an elevated German suplex from the second rope while Darby was on the apron and got the pin. ***3/4"

[8.0] "Darby Alliin is awesome. He may be the best underdog guy in the business now. He is a total madman in this match as well. Cobb threw Darby and dominated him so much and Darby bumped, sold like a boss to make Cobb look like a monster. Then he made the comeback, doing some crazy shit flying stuff. But he couldn't overcome when cobb did the mid rope german suplex for the win. A different match from usual PWG style. But they told a simple, good story even in a sub 10 minute match. Great job overall."

[8.0] "There was always a chance this would be just another generic indy/PWG -match, but what it ended up thankfully being was the best version of Darby Allin vs. Jeff Cobb. It was all about Cobb just throwing Darby around w/ all kinds of suplexes, and Darby bumping like an absolute maniac. Quite the dynamic, I tell ya! Such an awesome, awesome match. ***3/4"
