[6.0] "Started well, meandered for 15 minutes, then went back to what the narrative of the match was built around--Kosei Fujita and Okada's last appearance in Korakuen Hall. I largely didn't care for any of TMDK and Tana/Ishii sequences, so none of the nearfalls did anything for me. After the match, Okada thanked the crowd in an emotional speech which should be the reason you watch this in the first place."

[8.0] "[4.0*] This match was phenomenal. The TMDK were the clear MVPs of the match, with the best one being Fujita, the true star of the bout. Everyone here was great (except for Tana, sadly) and my favorite moment was Okada and Fujita at the end with an incredible sequence. The nearfalls were pretty well executed, especially after Haste and Nicholls did their finishers, I really thought they were going to win in some occasions. Pretty well worked with great nearfalls and an emotional ending stretch for Okada hitting the Rainmaker for the last time - for now - at the Korakuen Hall."

[6.0] "And thus concludes both Okada's final match at the legendary Korakuen Hall, and the greatest 6-man tag reign of all time. I didn't measure up to the other defenses of the title in terms of in-ring work, but that wasn't the point of this match. I could complain about the simplicity, or Tana's slowness, but again, not the point. Koesi Fujita was the one who needed to perform here, and he did. Okada played to the fans, gave an incredibly emotional speech at the end, and thus concluded this experience. I can't in good conscience give this a great score, but this is a must watch for any fan of the rainmaker. 3 Stars."

[7.0] "Good match, but after seeing the rating here, I thought it was going to be better than it was. I really like Fujita's work here, he really showed he can hang with the big names now and should only get better. Okada was really good here and I'd say Haste, Nicholls were good, with Ishii and Tanahashi especially, bringing up the rear. As is the case really in Okada matches, the closing minutes are better than anything else in this match."

[10.0] "Awesome match. Fujita will be a star for NJPW for many years to come, that much is clear. But this was all about Okada. Seeing him hitting his spots for the final time in Korakuen was so emotional, as Okada vs Omega I is the main reason I branched out into NJPW and non-WWE wrestling as a whole. To see him leave will be weird, but I hope he does amazing wherever he goes. So yes, emotional moments + enthralling near falls (I really thought Fujita had him) = great match."

[8.0] "Great match, with a lot of emotion for Okada, you could see in his eyes the whole time how much it meant to him be there. But I'm not gonna lie, he dropping the belts to TMDK might been better, helps elevate other talents while he's lefting, like Ospreay is doing with the War Dogs. (****1/4)."

[9.0] "Excellent match, fitting of Okada's last appearance at Korakuen Hall. I'd heard from the Super J-Cast that Fujita got punked out here etc. but much like other reviewers I thought he came off looking like a future star and was really given the spotlight, despite all the beating he took. He pushed Okada and stood up to Tanahashi and Ishii nicely. The TMDK boys looked great and that's with me not being huge on either. ****1/2"

[8.0] "[4.25*] I loved this match, the exchanges between Fujita and Okada were the highlight of the match and were very good. The teamwork between Okada, Ishii and Tanahashi as always worked very well, it was exciting to know that this is the last time they will be a trio. The build up and prominence that Kosei Fujita had in this match was impressive, NJPW really needs to invest in this kid for the future. The finish was spectacular and it was exciting to see Okada emotional when he made the pin."

[8.0] "Kazuchika Okada's last match under NJPW contract and you might think that this means he's the absolute MVP of this bout, right? Well, actually no. Kosei Fujita was the real star here, he deserves all the compliments and spotlights, 'cause this boy delivered a great performance, displaying a lot of star power and desire to be on the top of NJPW's mountain. Maybe if this was the Main Event and had more time, we'd get to see more story being told and Fujita having a bit more of in-ring time than his two TMDK peers. It's alright though, it still is a nice match with a very emotional ending. ****1/4"

[8.0] "This was all about the bursts of Okada love and the associated Fujita shine. I hate that all six-man tags nowadays break down into tornado chaos and I wasn't a fan of Ishii surviving so much TMDK double team offence, but the sense of occasion outweighed any nitpicking for one night ***3/4"

[9.0] "While everything was about Kazuchika Okada heading into this match, all I could think about by the end was how truly incredible Kosei Fujita was. This was his star-making performance, even in defeat. He was the superstar in a match featuring Okada and Hiroshi Tanahashi. Eveyrthing in the closing minutes against Okada was out of this world, getting this from a great defense to arguably the best of the entire NEVER reign for the Dream Team and Ishii. A must-see for anyone who wants to look to the future while seeing the conclusion of Okada's run in NJPW."

Contrasoma wrote on 24.01.2024:
[9.0] "Great, high-octane stuff from front to start which put Fujita in a great light...apart from what might ultimately matter the most. Are we getting a rematch at Sapporo? Are rumours of Okada simply refusing to do the honours true? Big and pressing questions, but it's hard to find much to fault in the bell to bell action in a match which ties the December defence against UE for the best these belts have ever had."

[10.0] "What an amazing last title defense for Chaos. This time it was all about Fujita, he was literally the main charachter of the match and at the end of the day I don't know why he didn't just pin Okada since now the belts are vacant for obvious reason. Anyway in terms of action this match was literally perfect. ****3/4"

[9.0] "I used to skip these smaller NJPW shows that were built up primarily of multi-man matches under the belief that they didn't matter. This match goes to show exactly why they do matter and that you could be missing something great by skipping them. Okada's last match under New Japan contract and his final match in Korakuen Hall. Though he has three more dates left in New Japan, this was a big moment. Though he didn't drop the titles to TMDK, he more than put in the work to make them look great and he, alongside Tana and Ishii, made Kosei Fujita look like an absolute star. A twenty-one-year-old who went up against three of the greatest of all time and almost won the match on several occasions. Says a lot that all three of them had to hit one of their big moves to finish him. Fujita is a future star for sure."

Geekazoid wrote on 24.01.2024:

The dream team bullying Fujita, Fujita fighting back and especially everything between Okada and Fuj. This was absolute magic. Was watching with a heavy heart and tears in my eyes, it's not the end of the world sure but goddamn this ripped my heart out. Special special match"

[9.0] "Beautiful match. Even if Okada didn't pass the torch before leaving, it's clear Fujita has a shining future and will surely be the ace of the Jr. division in a few years. Of course, in-ring action was non-stop, with not even a single one dull moment and perfect psychology, but, in my opinion, it was the crowd who made this match. So much energy, so much passion for this beautiful sport, and so much respect for a man that can't get enough respect."

"Really really fantastic match that kept pulling on your heartstrings to do with Okada right since the entrances. Ishii had some great time in the ring and had me fooled on many near falls before the final stretch. Tana, Nichols and Haste all did their thing but didn't particularly shine in this one. The grand excitement started off the back of those Ishii near falls with Okada and Fujita going for the entirety of the final stretch. Great wrestling, great counters and the importance of Okada's last match at Korakuen Hall wasn't undermined at all. 4.25 stars from me. Post match promo by Okada was also a perfect way to wrap up this match high in emotions."

[10.0] "Of all the new generation young talent to get something out of Okada's leaving tour, Big Fuj got the most. Not at all what I expected, but incredibly happy that it panned out this way. He was electric, matching Okada, Ishii and Tana all the way. Tana crushed him on that senton, but then took a nasty bump himself on Fujita's dive. Ishii's Boston Crab was painful looking. Shane Haste brought his reliable energy, and Mikey's involvement smartly kept to the minimum. Tana's still a bit of a liability in there. The greatness of this match was the emotion of Fujita stepping up in a big way to meet Okada on his way out."
