Eric Young & Frankie Kazarian vs. James Drake & Zack Gibson

[5.0] "[2.5*] Very solid old-school tag team match. Well worked but honestly I expect more from GYV. They are excellent and capable of delivering better than 6/10 matches."

[7.0] "Now this is what I'm talking about; the type of action I tune into TNA in hopes to see. A really good tag match here as the Grizzled Young Vets get to display their skills against TNA veterans Eric Young and Frankie Kazarian. After their loss here, Kazarian turns on Eric Young and gets some pretty good heat. Glad the Grizzled Young Vets got a good win here."

[6.0] "Nice match, my favorite of the show, except for the main event. The GYV are something unique on tag team wrestling, they have the aura that few others in the world can compare. (***1/4)."

[6.0] "Solid tag match. It's nice to see the Grizzled Young Veterans back as themselves again, and they seem like a good fit for TNA. There was nothing too out of the ordinary here (outside of a pretty awesome suicide dive to the back from Drake) and the finish was a little flat, but overall this got the job done."

[7.0] "A more than decent fight for the Grizzled Young team to debut in TNA. Honestly, I didn't know anything about Kaz and Eric but well, he betrayed him, so I'll be keeping an eye on what Frankie will do for TNA, I hope it's good. Same goes for the newcomers and Eric Young."

[5.0] "The match was only meant to be a post-match moment with Frankie's hiltern. The match itself was just a passing spectacle. The British veterans are still good and their level of teamwork is impressive. However, they were responsible for the teamwork in the match. But Young and Kazarian were remembered more after the match than during it."

[6.0] "[3.25*] The match was dominated by the Grizzled Young Veterans and the entire build up to the match went towards the hot tag on Eric Young. The in-ring action was solid, GYV are a very talented tag that should shine in TNA. Kazarian and Young fulfilled their role in the match."

[6.0] "The match was okay. Frankie turning into Eric Young was an unexpected, surprising moment, but I thoroughly enjoyed that."

[7.0] "Young and Kazarian were billed as the TNA Originals for their tag team match on the Hard to Kill pre-show, where they lost to The System. There was no need for them to be a regular team going forward, so I liked that Kazarian turned on Young afterward. It also freshens things up with his character as he felt directionless following his feud with Eddie Edward. The match was very good and I'm looking forward to Grizzled Young Vets making more appearances for TNA (assuming they've signed some sort of deal or intend to soon)."

[5.0] "This was somewhat of a squash match with GYV in control for 90% of it, the main problem is that the crowd just did not really know them so did not care and it felt pretty heatless. They should get themselves over soon enough on promos alone."

[7.0] "Grizzled Young Veterans are one of the best tag teams in the world. They work together so smoothly that everything they do seems to be flush with both intent and malice. Against two of the best tag team wrestlers in TNA history, they proved why they belong in this revitalized company. Frankie Kazarian is still as smooth as butter and Eric Young is complete entertainment. Throw in a heel turn that had the crowd ON FIRE and you have yourself a damn good match and a strong segment to boot. 3.5 stars, 7 out of 10."

[7.0] "The match was good. You expect a match from these four to be atleast entertaining. They worked well together and told the story well. Kaz turning heel was something I did not expect at all though."

[8.0] "Fun match! Kazarian continues to be a great fit for TNA in his veteran years and the grizzled young vets continue to prove they are potential tag team champion material"

[7.0] "I gotta shout out James Drake; Gibson gets the headlines for his promo work, but Drake was in her a lot, and he can go. The Frankie turn at the end was fine, but I hope they let Kaz be a little looser as a heel instead of a serious brooding dude. It's been a while, but Bad Influence Kaz and the beginning of SCU Frankie were great obnoxious heels that could get you to hate him in ten seconds. Let's go with this heel turn, but please let Frankie show the personality we know he has from the likes of BTE."

[7.0] "A good and well worked tag match. GYV are a welcome and needed addition to the tag division. Kazarian and Eric worked well enough together before their post-match fallout from Kazarian turning heel on Eric. A nice way to give both something to do as both did not have a lot happening prior to the TNA rebrand."

[8.0] "A surprising match that cooked very well. Eric and Kazarian did the storytelling of the match in a phenomenal way with a very good turn in the post match!"

[8.0] "I think this is a hell of a tag team match. Perfect for the Kazarian/Young angle of the post bout and good showcase for GYV."
