[6.0] "Naito definitely wasn't on top form for this match and he botched some important spots. On the other hand, he's so charismatic and unapologetic in his character that I don't really care. Cobb is also extremely charismatic, and a ton of fun. And of course, he's also a fantastic athlete. His counter of Naito's Destino into Tour of the Islands was great, and I fully believed it was the finish until it turned into a fantastic double down. The closing stretch into the second Tour of the Islands was a nice way to cap a solid match off. ***"
[6.0] "This was a good main event that didn't deliver quite as much as I hoped. The beginning and end were both really good but, the middle five minutes or so dragged it down a bit. It felt like Naito was giving 75% in this one and he botched more than usual, they were able to roll with them without losing pace though. ***1/4"
[4.0] "Does Naito know you can hit a little bit harder or at least make it not look soft as heck? Youd never know it from his Honky Tonk Man level strikes."
[5.0] "i mean its alright, clearly both guys past their prime but they get the crowd into it, and have a nice back and forth. naito at the end was basically a corpse, cobb had to drag him to the end, but he finally slays his boogeyman"
[7.0] "Good but a bit underwhelming match because we all know what they're capable of. Maybe they can't cooperate in order to produce a better showcase. It was slow like they weren't in a best shape that day. ***1/4*"
[8.0] "The occasional botch here and there, but overall this was a really fun match. Cobb copying Naitos style was fun, and it is good to see Cobb look legit again."
[7.0] "Some cool spots like the huge powerbomb off the top rope, some nice counters of finishers at the end. I'll never be blown away by Cobb but I thought he was pretty good here and Naito seemed in good form as far as I could tell. The finish was a little awkward and anticlimactic I thought. ***3/4"
[7.0] "Naito seemed very tired here, a lot of unprecise moves. Cobb is a monster and his wrestling style is great, overall a good match but not great."
[6.0] "This was just okay. I feel like if it was anyone else but Naito people would be more critical. Neither guy looked fully comfortable in there, but it was certainly better than SANADA/Hikuleo from the night before."
[7.0] "This was solid. Bit of roughness at points, but overall Cobb does a good job carrying this match to something decent. Didn't care for Cobb's promo after the match, he's a very stilted talker."
[7.0] "Fun match liked Cobbs character work in this one and the action was solid. I think Naito is gonna look better the longer the tournament goes on as this wasnt his best showing but he's still great"
[8.0] "Great main event, these guys always work very well with each other. Nice character work, some callbacks to their previous matches, the crowd was into it and Naito made Jeff Cobb look like a real threat again."
[7.0] "This was pretty good. They don't have particularly good chemistry so some moments were a little akward but there were also some very good moments. Cobb has been declining and so has Naito but he can still deliver against the right opponent in big spots. ***1/2"
[8.0] "Solid main-event and what a surprise in the ending, I would never axpect a victory of Cobb. Anyway good fight, the last 40 seconds were mad. ****1/4"
[5.0] "Very average. Naito was - and I think that it was deliberate - very inconsistant in this match. Cobb wrestled alone and it's not enough to do an interesting match."
[8.0] "This was a good compilation of the various Cobb Vs Naito matches into a singular match, and this time Cobb won! I dont think it topped some of their previous matches, but it was still a nice bout and nice main event victory for Jeff Cobb. Also Jeff Cobbs roll call post match was hilarious. Good end to the show."
[8.0] "2023 Jeff Cobb is world championship material, I don't care what anybody says. He shows more personality than he ever has and he still moves extremely well (kinda worried about his knees though). Him copying Naito's moveset was great since he has enough agility to carry this idea for almost 15 minutes. Naito was his usual entertaining self. He didn't do much but I think that his body just can't it anymore. This Climax is very open and I would love to see Jeff take it all the way, it's now or never for a world title push."
[7.0] "The match I expected, which is just fine, but I wouldn't expect Jeff Cobb to win. The action in the ring itself was in full swing towards the end, but this 20 minute limit for Naito may be a bit like Okada, because Naito also likes to get going ***1/2"
[8.0] "A very positive way of ending this second day of the tournament with a high-quality match between Cobb and Naito, clearly not the best match of the show but a very fun one during which both offered us some solid content, especially during the very impressive final minutes with lots of moves and nearfalls. Naito seemed motivated and the two always work well together so I had no doubt it would be good, even if it was a bit short for a main event spot on a G1 Climax show, so it's a shame it didn't last a bit longer."
