[7.0] "The action itself in this match was awesome, featuring some sick dives to the outside and some terrific brawling. However, an extremely anticlimatic crooked ref angle in not one, but two falls took the wind out of an otherwise great match's sails. ***1/4"

Then rather quickly sevilla gets a roll up pin securing the first fall, quickly but not quickly because that was more like a 6 second count, i do love the slow counting though because it does build up the intensity of the fall. Second fall went to salvaje by submission, another really quick fall, this is typical in 2/3 falls matches so the 3rd fall is really what matters and they can build up the finish. Third fall was really intense and emotional, crowd was really pulling for sevilla. A lot of outside action and shenanigans from salvajes side. Some really good nearfalls, both men are extremely exhausted but just keep pushing. Salvaje gets cut open a good ways into the third fall. At this point they are mostly on the outside and doing a lot of high flying moves and heavy strikes. I saw salvaje do the samoa joe walk away spot which got a pop out of me. They were throwing everything possible at each other but barely even going for covers, they were just trying to beat each other down to pure exhaustion. Salvaje puts saville in a pretty devastating looking hold and the ref calls it in about 2 seconds, which was strange but there wasnt any way he was getting out of that, i think a part of the reason saville avoided being in the ring and being in direct contact with salvaje was for this reason, hes a real submission artist that can and will put you in an inescapable hold at any point. This is a match that takes it time and tells a great fucking story, one of the best lucha libre matches ive ever seen, and im not even too familiar with either worker."
[10.0] "I had a blast with this! If you're not a fan of lucha, with all it's unique rhythms and weird little tropes, it may not connect with you, but I had a great time watching it. Some incredible moves, to be sure, but most of all I liked the energy of the match, the feeling that both guys were really going all out."
[4.0] "This match is poorly constructed. It relies on a few spots but the story is weak so nothing hits too hard. The second fall is a submission that comes so abruptly that it deflates what little air the match had going at that point heading into the final fall. The buildup here is where the match finally began to produce. Bigger spots, near falls, intrigue building until you see the constant counting on pins without shoulders down and grandstanding by the referee. A big turn off of mine. Make no mistake there are some cool spots here but the story, ability, and selling all lack. **1/4"
