[5.0] "This is cut down to 9 minutes for some reason. It's not even a seemingly important clip as it isn't from the beginning but seems to be cut just after. I'm not sure if the lads had a lull or there was something bad like a botch that happened but either way, it's a weird cut. I appreciate that they do something a bit different with this one and involve a bit more stand-up work: Kido and Tiger land some cool transitions and submissions to the mat, involving a super early Kimura by the former. Unlike the other matches in this collection, the crowd wasn't very hot for this whatsoever: usually I'll hear them pipe up for a tight submission or takedown but here at BEST you might hear some gasp at a tricky throw or some talking at the hairier sections, but this was the quietest they had been for a viewing so far. Kido gets in some tricky submissions before Sayama makes his usual comeback with gut kicks, which score multiple knockdowns until a back kick to the leg and roundhouse reel the guy enough that his opponent can just jump on him and apply a rear naked choke for the easy win. This was pretty basic stuff from the pair and outside some bits that were pretty cool (namely a German from Kido and Sayama's dynamic kicks for the comeback after he counters out of the arm work) this felt very house-showy and business as usual workrate from the pair. The crowd didn't really pick up for this any which didn't help things. If this seems short, it's because the match itself didn't really do anything. Fine if you like seeing these two but expect nothing but the minimum."
