WWE plunder matches are so drawn-out, plodding, and lacking in intensity because the wrestlers have to spend so much time playing Bob the Builder with Kendo sticks, duct tape, and ladders. The Thunderdome and the plastic toy-looking red cage do not help at all. Both women put their all into making this watchable, so credit to them in the circumstances."

The spots were very innovative, the use of the weapons were creative, and the psychology that both women displayed in this match was next level. [10.0] "This match made me realize how much storytelling is such important in a wrestling match over the in-ring itself. 5years in the making aside from NXT, I finally had my so anticipated Sasha vs Bayley and yes maybe I wanted it at a WrestleMania and mostly in front of a fire crowd this was a total banger ! Both women told an absolute great story through their savage spots, we could feel the hate ruling in this chaos ! Bayley played her heel perfectly well, though she was wrong she just wanted to keep weakening Sasha in the way she had been doing since she betrayed her! She knew her opponent were going to kill her down so she did everything she could but this wasn? t enough ! Sasha only sought for revenge capitalized on her destructive knees to crash multiple times her rival into the cell and the stairs ! She also wanted to kill her by greatly using a fire extinguisher and finished by earning the big win by trapping Bayley with the chair and making her tap-out while she were making her suffer relentlessly till the end ! The HIAC stipulation really meant something there both women can be proud for the hard work they? ve put on that? s just fantastic I so loved this epic grudge clash !"

[9.0] "I genuinely loved this match. Bayley and Sasha Banks put together one of the greatest rivalries in WWE history, spanning multiple brands, years, and in many senses eras of the company and its product. This one was one of the true highlights of the pandemic era in WWE, with these two all-time greats going all-out with everything to lose and even more to gain. There were sea number of examples of innovation, with the overarching story of their complicated friendship that has been overrun by animosity at several points in time bringing emotion to them. This was also something of a landmark match, as it really gave women in WWE a chance to take chances that they may not have previously been able to. The end result was an absolute classic of a Hell in a Cell match. 4.5 stars, 9 out of 10. A shining example of why these two are legends."

[9.0] "A very good HIAC match, though far from the best. With this match - like with their two great NXT Takeover matches -, Bayley and Sasha manages to make this story and their fight look personnal and that makes up for quite a slow match and some strange moments (Bayley making DIY with the kendo sticks, the fire extinguisher ...). 9/10."

[9.0] "Phenomenal match that made good use of the cell and also had a ton of innovative spots involved in it. This was also a match that deserved to be in the cell, seeing as most of the matches in the cell since becoming a PPV haven't felt that way. The story was simple Sasha and Bayley hated each other so much that they were going to try and find new ways to hurt each other. Examples of this are the drop toe hold into kendo sticks, while also onto the steps and the overall use of the ladders and kendo sticks. Sasha's bumping all match was great with my favorite being when Bayley dropped her face first on the outside. All of the metoras that Sasha hit in this match no matter where she was fluid and had great impact. Ending with Bayley tapping out to the bank statement with the chair around her neck was the perfect way to end such a brutal match. Bayley was really good here but Sasha was the MVP of the match.****1/2"

[7.0] "Very nice closure. Cannot complain about this one at all. Like really, what could you complain about. The spots were innovative, which is a rarity for HIAC matches these days. Banks was actively trying to deny things from happening, instead of rushing to do the things like her life depended on it. Maybe they could've used the cell itself some more, but it always has been a tool more than a weapon. They way everything played out was solid, and Banks' comeback was great. It did feel partially obvious when Bayley went Disney villain-mode and started monologuing but like, come on now, what is Bayley if not a Disney villain. And, as it always eventually does and always eventually should, the villain loses. Roll credits."

[10.0] "Sasha and Bayley's creativity made this one of my favorite matches ever. It's brutal, fun, and innovative. They have off the charts chemistry and I found myself questioning what they would do next every minute. I love how much they've grown as performers. I could see their characters shining through all their actions. This was the ultimate culmination of a multi-year storyline between two characters whose paths have been intertwined since the beginning of the women's revolution."

[8.0] "This match between Bayley and Sasha Banks was a great one. Both have had many battles in the past but they never disappoint with any of their feuds or matches. Great chemistry between both competitors. They really do know how to make the match interesting by going back-and-forth, trying new moves to give a fresh vibe and always building the momentum well too. They had received a nice amount of time together to make this match a great one and the finish was awesome specially with Sasha Banks using the chair mixed with the Bank Statement submission. Fantastic stuff."

[10.0] "5 years since their TakeOver matches, and fully showcased 5 years of development as performers, making it even better than their Brooklyn match for my money, with the benefit of hindsight. Hell in a Cell is a stipulation that's lost so much of its identity over the years from becoming overexposed and diluted that making it feel fresh is no small feat, and it really can't be stressed enough how big of a part the women's Cell matches have had in giving the stipulation some of its mojo back. They've really spearheaded the shift in focus towards creative and innovative spots, and telling the story of a grudge match through violent one-upsmanship and spectacle. This match exemplified that approach beautifully, telling a story of clashing egos, conflicted hatred, and two people having grown to hate each-other so much that sadism takes over any grasp on common sense and practicality, because all they want is to find new ways to hurt each-other. Sasha somehow managed to make a plethora of Meteora spots each feel distinct and impactful, creating a running theme throughout the match's high spots. Bayley managed to turn a failed duct-taped kendo stick spot into a brilliant moment of off-the-cuff character work, and the fact that she knew when to just give up on the spot and move on was a real show of her growth as a performer over the years, the fact that it set up a callback for her match against Bianca almost a year later just being icing on the cake in retrospect. I'm always willing to overlook some degree of spots being convoluted if it's done in the name of innovation, and the spots in this match were far more creative than they were awkward. An instantly iconic finish, suitably brutal and visceral for the Cell. A live crowd and a touch of blood would've pushed it even further, but we're splitting hairs at that point. Not just an excellent spotfest match, but a match that the Hell in a Cell stipulation needed."

[10.0] "Seriously good match. Incredible improvised feeling fight sequences especially when it came to weapon work. The bumps were earth shattering on both sides. The final sequence blew the roof and felt so right. A couple loose spots (shame about the duct tape stuff) just took the edge off of an otherwise red hot match. It may not have had the sheer heat of their NXT matchups but both Bayley and Sasha's work made them look like the best in the world here. Very likely my MOTN."

[10.0] "Greatest match in 2020 (only in wwe of course). Sasha and Bayley have fantastic chemistry with each other and they used stipulation perfectly."

[8.0] "It was good, but i think it could have been much better. There was some nice moves and good storytelling, but it just felt like they didn't want to hit each other hard. That created some pretty sloppy spots. The ending was really good. ***3/4"

[8.0] "I thought this was fairly excellent, most of the stuff they tried worked well and they definitely tried to put their all into it. Some of the more complicated setups did feel awkward and I still don't know what Bayley was doing with that duct tape but overall, very good match."

[8.0] "Whenever you put Sasha Banks inside of Hell in a Cell, you know she's going to give an amazing performance. Add her chemistry with Bayley in there, and you got yourself a great match. Loved the creativity and violence in this match, and unlike Roman/Jey they used the cell to great effect. Sasha going crazy with those meteors was awesome. It reminds me of Manami Toyota hitting her dropkicks. Bayley has never been a favorite of mine, but her and Sasha always play off of each other very well. Sasha made everything Bayley did look brutal. Even basic maneuvers looked better because of Sasha's expert bumping and selling. There were lots of innovate and brutal spots here like the drop toe into the kendo sticks and the stuff with the chairs. Not every spot was smooth, such as Bayley setting up duct tape kendo sticks which flopped and was downright hilarious. I also loved the callback at the end to their Takeover match. You can always count on Sasha to bring out the best in Bayley. Best HIAC match since Sasha/Becky. ****1/4"

[10.0] "Awesome, brutal, innovative, match of the year contender. We all knew it was going to be awesome, but they surely delivered that. The pace of the match was beautifully executed, taking into consideration their feud. It wasn't pretty, it was brutal. Sasha's offense and perfomance her was one of the best I've seen from her, and Bayley once again proves that she should be taken into consideration when talking about the best in the world. Just give me Sasha vs. Bayley forever and I'll be happy. ****1/2"

[6.0] "My expectations for this match were unfortunately so high that they couldn't be met. Still a good brutal match by Sasha & Bayley with a nice ending sequence. ***."

[10.0] "It's about time to put these two in the 'rival' category in their profile. Three match, three classics. Thank you Sasha Banks and Bayley for giving us one of the most creative HIAC Matches in history. Just great spots after great spots, it's like they've been waiting for this match all their lives. Sasha Banks has FINALLY had her moment, amazing stuff."

[6.0] "I don't think this match was a 10, not even near. The spots were pretty simple and Sasha always choosed the double knees to any spot (using the table, jumping from the apron, Bayley in the corner of the cell or with the ladder) she could have tried something new, some spots look stupid like the one Sasha under the table. Then we have a lot of time lost, like the time Bayley tries to do something with two singapore canes for nearly 2 minutes just for Sasha to use a extinguiser, I think it killed the match, it is supposed to be a war and Bayley lost her time doing a stupid thing, no sense at all, If Bayley had prepare something for a big spot I could understand it but this wasn't the case and then the magic chair just appearing near the door. I think just some jumps, singapore canes and some cell shoots don't do an amazing match, but we know for a WWE hardcore match wasn't bad, just not amazing."

[6.0] "It is a good match but it has an use of things a bit confuse with Bayley and her chair. In fact, I don't understand how she puts it into the cell during the match. The match does not seem to have a linear and gradual narrative, but it seems a spot over spot over spot match. The spots are very nice and the two wrestlers have a good attitude ***1/2"

[8.0] "8. 35/10: Sasha. Hell in a Cell = Money. Simple as that. Bayley continues to feel out of place and overrated for me. Nothing about her works for me and she may have been the only thing that worked to this match's detriment. Otherwise, an entertaining gripping match-up with the Can-do-no-wrong can't-look-any-better Sasha putting on a show and cementing herself as Mrs. HIAC."

[4.0] "The pace and the storytelling was okay, but the focus on hardcore spots and Bayley acting killed my interesse in this match. Sincerely, i'm not excited to watch another match between these two, i hope Sasha Banks move on."

Unlike randy Orton and drew McIntyre who were so slow and boring with spots we have seen before, here on the other hand Bayley and Sasha didn't even rest for 1 minute and every minute of the match was so entertaining with epic spots. This match is dedicated to the haters that they are saying that women can't wrestle."

If they really did a 4 Horsewoman stable with Sasha, Bayley, Charlotte, and Becky it would actually make sense at this point. I think Sasha really is the worker of the bunch because she seems to have great matches with almost everybody, but the same cannot be said about the other 3. Overall the resume each of these 4 women have created is astonishing! This match is just another great highlight!"

[8.0] "Probably the best women's match of the year so far. I haven't seen all of the PPVs, let alone TVs. But these two delivered, as you would expect. Great emotion, great blowoff (maybe? ), they know just when to turn it up a notch. And what's a big time Sasha match without her damn-near killing herself? Fortunately, they both came out great... imo, this is the closest they've got to their 2015 match in Brooklyn."

[10.0] "Absolutely legendary. Arguably the match of the year, the absolute women's match of the year, and one of the greatest women's matches of all time. Period. It's almost certainly better than the Becky-Banks Hell in a Cell last year, and arguably better than the Charlotte-Becky Last Woman Standing match, too. Just relentlessly brutal, endlessly creative, and the right ending in the biggest way. Bayley and Sasha carried WWE for most of the year and they got the emotional pay off they deserve."

[10.0] "Sasha and Bayley unsurprisingly deliver another classic. These two have excellent chemistry, they know how to tell a story and it was a brutal hard hitting match. I loved the callbacks to previous matches and moments between the pair, the finish especially was perfect as chairs have been a key component in their feud. [7.0] "Great match here ! I loved the intensity from Bayley, she has a great heel work and she is the best heel in the main roster today, by far. Sasha Banks did some botches and I think she was not the right choice to beat Bayley tho. I would prefered so much Bianca Belair. Banks is really overrated. But great match, great storytelling with kendosticks and chairs. ***1/2"

[8.0] "I thought this was pretty awesome. Sasha Banks put on a hell of a performance from bell to bell. The creativity in the early sequences was pretty awe-inspiring to watch. Sasha Banks went all out with the meteora attacks whether it was in the ring, against the cage, over tables, onto the floor. Any position, anywhere, she hit them sweetly. Her and Bayley were able to feed off each other wonderfully with Baylay being ultra basic with her offence, allowing the more bump happy Sasha to shine. Sasha was always willing to go fully force into the nastiest spots. Like when Bayley drop toe hold her into the corner and she went down with so much speed and velocity. It's that stuff that makes the match more violent and appealing to someone like myself. Some of her bumping was sick to watch. Everything had a whiplash to it. You can tell she is influenced by Joshi but she takes the best parts about it, the roughness of the selling and bumps, and incorporates it into the match. The match at times did lose a bit of momentum as it transitioned into a fairly standard HIAC that WWE likes to put on but they were able to regain that momentum nicely for the finish. But whole shit, Sasha Banks was tremendous. Fantastic. Maybe her best individual outing in WWE. ****"

[9.0] "Violent, brutal with a very good storytelling and a great display of athleticism and some very innovative offense. This wasn't your typical Hell In a Cell match that is about doing some spots. The stuff they did meant something. I loved how they kept going back to their past even using the Bayley to Belly. Banks was the star of the match but Bayley's work wasn't in no way inferior to Banks; It's just this was Bank's night and it was her match to win. I was really critical of the commentary in the Universal's Title match but it was much better here. These two have put on other classics together and made history together and they can add this one to the list. This was a great match and one of the best HIAC match I have watched. With a real crowd, this could have been much better. ****1/2"

[10.0] "Match of the night. Best women's HIAC match ever, one of the best HIAC matches ever and a certain Match of the Year contender for 2020. With a story five years in the making since NXT Takeover: Respect and all the false starts between now and then, there was a real risk that this match could have fallen victim to being unable to meet unrealistic expectations. This match exceeded every expectation that I had and then some. It was put together very smartly. Sasha and Bayley are best known for their defining match at Takeover: Brooklyn, a match that was known for its storytelling, emotion and pure wrestling. This match was the cheese to Brooklyn's chalk and was a match befitting of the stipulation. They didn't try to re-create Brooklyn. They went in a different, hellacious direction and it absolutely worked. From start to finish, the match was captivating and was a demonstration of both Banks and Bayley at their very best. The animosity felt real, the emotion was tangible and the match creative. This wasn't a wrestling match, but instead a fight. It was brutal and physical to watch, yet the story was never forgotten and told perfectly. Throwbacks to previous matches and previous injuries intensified the action. For me, the match flew by and I could easily have watched more. From start to finish, I was invested for every twist and turn. I don't feel that words can do this match justice, it needs to be watched to be appreciated. This though should be remembered as one of the best HIAC matches of all time and one of the most iconic matches of this generation of women's wrestling. And as for Sasha and Bayley, in my books, they have a rivalry that has stolen shows, re-written history books and will forever be era defining."

[6.0] "I'm surprised because the rating of this match is too high. It was too long and little bit boring like Roman and Uso match."

[10.0] "Now THAT'S how you do Hell in a Cell. Bayley and Banks made full use of the Cell and more. One of the most compelling HIAC matches ever, from a storytelling and in-ring perspective. You could feel every bit of hatred between these two, and even some of the not super clean spots added to the experience because of how far they were trying to go to hurt each other. My WWE MOTY for 2020."

[7.0] "I felt like this was kind of like Sasha's HIAC match vs. Becky, in the sense of, while I obviously think it was a good & a solid one, it didn't provoke much other emotions or thoughts out of me. Just solid action all around with them making nice use of some gimmicks. Pretty neat callback to their TakeOver match at the end too."

[9.0] "This was an excellent match and in my opinion the match of the night. The physicality was very refreshing especially since this match actually used the cell to great effect, unlike Reigns/Uso. Some pretty inventive spots here as well, and while not everything worked (like the duct taped kendo stick spot that was thankfully abandoned) I admire the creativity and effort both women put in. The best hell in a cell match since, funnily enough, Sasha vs. Becky last year. This kind of wrestling is far more my speed than Reigns/Uso."
