[8.0] "With that pool of talent, you would like to do more insane matches like this one. Completely absurd matchmaking here resulting and a very fun TV main event. Being with 3 talented veterans gave Hook a great performance, probably the best in his short-career. Being this hungry and determined, looking for a fight and constantly being humbled by Joe and Lashley was a great narrative for him here, he did not run away from a fight, but he didn't do very well either. Lashley and Joe together gave a big fight feel for the match and Ricochet was visceral in making everyone look great. He is a fantastic heel and probably one of the best currently in AEW. The false finishes were so good and popped me big time. Spear into a Muscle Buster is a sick visual!"

[8.0] "Usually, Tony Khan is never rewarded for his matchmaking abilitie, and honestly, he don't need to take credit for it. The roster is so fucking stacked up that we can build dozen of matches without even thinking deeper into that theme. For example, pick a Don Callis Family member and put him to face a random face guy, boom, there it is. But this match right here can be a good example of how he manage to create a great match with simple booking. He picked a Opps member, a guy kicked out of Opps, a Hurt Syndicate member and a Demand member. In theory, normal match. In execution, a blast. All of those guys did their job pretty well, four complete sick freaks of nature that understood pretty well how to keep the crowd cheering for them at all times. I just think this match had so many face-to-face for a match, and I think I saw Bobby being threwed into the outside more than the usual number would be, whatever it is."

[8.0] "I was really looking forward to this oddball match and for the most part I felt it delivered well. Lashley is still an awesome freak and Ricochet has been so good this year. Hook gave another good showing and, while the very predictable winner, Joe continued to show why he deserves this last main event run. My only critique was the somewhat awkward ending, with Lashley having to fumble with the ropes on the apron in order to not save Hook in time and then the quick tap out, but I think they did a solid job justifying it."

[7.0] "The layout of the match is great, but there are a few too many hiccups and waiting for it spots for the result to reach that high. Still good and lots of fun. Get that chin lock Joe, don't let them cheer for you (would have been better if one of the first things he did in the match wasn't a dive, but it ended up working). Lashley is just tasked with cutoffs and big moves and a very well timed no sell, so no complaints there. Hook is the soul of the match and he wrestles with the intensity to show how important the championship an Joe betrayal is to him. Hook has also enough poise to make him moments with Joe feel extra special (so does Lashley, who is not nearly as fiery or as integral to the bout). Rico is just there stooging (he is great at it)."

Joe and Lashley played the big men, Hook the courageous guy who wanted to fight, and Ricochet the heel who runs away and tries to take advantage of opportunities. The ending makes you want to see the match against Hangman."

[8.0] "Very good main event and a choice I totally agree with. But then come the problems what was Hook supposed to do in the match? Why is he a face if nobody likes him? Wouldn't a triple threat have been enough? Other than that, great performance by Joe and Ricochet, though I have some doubts about Lashley he even messed up the timing at the end when getting back in the ring. I don't know, he still looks really off to me; I truly fear his best days are behind him. Joe, on the other hand, is always on top awesome stuff. Now let's hope for a proper match at Full Gear, and honestly, I wouldn't mind a title change even if I think it's unlikely."

[7.0] "Great mix of competitors in terms of style and stature. It did feel a little thrown-together - I'd have liked to better understand why each of the four men were involved - but that doesn't take away from the strengths of the match. Ricochet was an absolute star here, both in offensive and selling; his role in this match benefitted everything and everyone. Another thing about this match: it got me really excited for the C2. I would LOVE to see this four-way broken down to one-on-one contests in all combinations. The finish was strong and did well to protect Lashley & Ricochet. The result? I'd have been happy to wait a little before running-back Hangman vs. Joe, we could've let that brew a little, but absolutely expected. A 7 is one of the lower ratings given at this point in time, but a 7 is absolutely a good rating nevertheless; let's not forget that."

[7.0] "Good fun, if not predictable with a few mis-steps towards the end. I keep saying this, but Ricochet is performing at his absolute best at the moment - not just his in-ring work, which is phenomenal, but also his constant interactions, such as shouting "I'm only trying to win" when he attacked Lashley, who then proceeded to dump him out of the ring."

[7.0] "Four way main event: I was incredibly negative about Hook's involvement in the main event and I shouldn't have been. Say what you like about the booking that got him into the match, his performance was fine and he's clearly put some work in while off. Good match even though the winner was nailed on. decent pacing, some good high spots, everyone played to their strengths, zero complaints. 7/10"

[5.0] "The match was all right though not only was the winner not in question, the way Lashley was distracted was possibly even more predictable. Can someone explain why hook was even in the match? The following is not a slight on the match but the angle afterwards... whoever came up with the idea and/or execution should find another way of making a living."

[6.0] "The outcome was a bit too predictable, but the match was enjoyable to watch. We suspected Lashley and Ricochet would cancel each other out, but it was well integrated. The same goes for Hook's tenacity and his history with Joe. Lashley had a slight timing issue at the end, but it was still a satisfying main event. In-ring quality: 1.75/4. Stakes: 1.5/2. Justification: 0.5/1. Card placement: 1/1. Suspense: 0.5/1. Bonus/penalty: none. Total: 6.25/10. Match watched on Triller TV."

[8.0] "The best match of the night. A great main event that was "short" but intense from beginning to end. I loved the interactions between Joe and Bobby, and it was also a good move to highlight the clear size difference between the participants. Great chemistry between Hook and Ricochet. The only "bad" thing I'd say was the predictable winner, but it doesn't detract from the great finish the match had. 8/10."

[5.0] "I found this to be a very lacklustre match that felt clunky and poorly executed quite a bit of the time. I don't think Lashley or especially Hook had any business being in this match, they are been below-average and straight up awful wrestlers respectively, and should be nowhere near a match for a world title shot. I quite like Joe & Ricochet, however they've felt somewhat cooled off as of late and both had fairly off nights in this match too. Ricochet did have some spectacular high flying spots, but also some misses and moments of poor timing & sloppiness that is not something you usually see from him. Unfortunate end to what was otherwise a pretty fun show."

[8.0] "Honestly just like the women's tag match before this match over delivered for me personally as I was actually expecting it to bit pretty middling. But in the end I really loved this match everyone showed out and we got some great moments throughout the match and two stories intertwined during the match. I loved Joe in this match he is like I alwys say just everything he does in every match is so damn cool the way he delivers every thing is just so bloody good and his showdown with Bobby was quality. I thought Bobby was great in this match with some great power moves and great selling and like I said the bit with Joe was great. Ricochet was my mvp of this match like I expect because he went full balls to the wall high flying with so many fast paced moves to try and cut down the big men. Hook was just there with some Opps lore and suplexs I guess. The finish was cool with the stories both pair of men had with each other playing a part I will say Bobby forgetting how to climb through the ropes at the end was odd by made me chuckle. Overall this was a really fun four way match with a cool mix of high flying and power moves and the right winner. (****)"

[7.0] "A very fun main event and the second best match of the night for me. Tons of great action and fun interactions here with everyone managing to bring something different to the table. As good as everyone was here, i thought Ricochet was the clear star of the show, hilariously eating shit on several occasions but also managing to do a lot of cool stuff in the second half and nail a ton of sick dives. The result here was pretty predictable but thankfully the action here was so good that it almost didnt matter. ***3/4"
stewyou wrote on 30.10.2025:
[7.0] "Really good match, but the finish was kind of insulting to Lashley. A steel chair shot annoyed him so much that he completely forgot a match was happening, being the sole reason Joe could win? Is he supposed to be stupid? They could've thought of a more creative finish here that didn't have to throw an underrated guy under the bus. But these issues aside, the action in this match was really stellar."

[8.0] "Bobby Lashley vs Ricochet vs Samoa Joe vs Hook ****. Awesome main event match on dynamite last night, but Bobby could of easily made the save if he just slid into the ring instead of what he did lol, made him look kind of dumb here, my only pushback. This rocked. The Samoa Joe Bobby Lashley interactions was the highlight for me, but everyone in this match played their role perfectly. The way how he was stooging for everyone in this match, particularly Bobby and Samoa Joe was godly. I never saw this in Ricochet when he left the company. Him becoming this level of a stooging heel has changed his current trajectory as a wrestler. He rocks, and so did this match, and so does Bobby and Samoa Joe"

[7.0] "Lashley and Hook taking turns tossing Ricochet followed by Bobby treating Hook like a kid throwing a fit was a cool spot. These four couldn't be anymore different but this really worked. Lashley was awesome in this match. The crowd was into everything he did. He clearly could be slotted into a world-title program any time TK wanted. Ricochet was awesome in this match. His acrobatic sequence was amazing. I hated the muscle buster spear spot. Joe just standing around waiting to be speared was a touch look. Bobby has to realize he's late and skip the rope running. Finish was okay but Lashley also made that seem awkward."

Ricochet as always making everything in the ring great and Hook also looked suprisingly stepping up to the level. Dont even mention Lashley and Joe cause they dont miss. After match segment also was nice suprise."
