[9.0] "[4.5*] Absolutely fantastic experience, this match is what lucha libre's all about. Super electric atmosphere - the loudest crowd of the year - and a match full of vibes. Watching these two veterans putting on an absolute classic in big 2025 was incredible and it made me proud. The way Panther moves at 64 years old isn't normal, he's a fucking demon. The ending was very frustrating but that's probably by design because Ultimo Guerrero was the rudo and in my opinion this didn't make the match any worse. The chop exchanges were awesome, the dives were spectacular and the nearfalls were super dramatic. This looked like a proper Arena Mexico main event without the main event spot. I just love these matches were I have a smile on my face from start to finish, they're such a joy. Loved this one with all my heart."
[10.0] "Fantastic lucha match! I adore how great these luchadors are at staying great well into the kind of ages where wrestlers in other styles can barely get out of bed in the morning. Panther at his age is sensational and Ultimo is reliably awesome."
[9.0] "I find these two to be a magical pairing and this time in Arena Mexico they deliver again. Blue Panther defeats Father Time and Ultimo really is making the MLW Openweight Championship into something to actually follow!"
[5.0] "Ok match. I never expected an all timer because both wrestlers in the match are really old (blue panther more so) and past their primes. I had fun and the crowd certainly had even more considering how loud they were in this match. It's still cool to see them wrestling a decent match at their respective ages. ***"
[5.0] "I have to agree with the forklift driver below when they say: "Much like Tanahashi's retirement tour, I'm glad everyone's having fun but without emotional connection to the performer, all I can see is a decent outing from a legend who is past his prime""
[9.0] "Delightful stuff in front of an electric crowd, with both veterans relishing the space to play their music. Panther's performance steals the show, operating at a staggering pace for his age and sprinkling in beautiful babyface touches throughout. The finish is somewhat abrupt but this is an unbelievably charming watch, sporting genuine greatness in every possible department, far better than mere novelty or nostalgia. ****1/4"
[9.0] "Incredible, among the best of the year. Age is not a factor here, the story they tell in the ring is loud and clear. Two absolute masters of their craft."
[9.0] "Not only has this some of the more incredible tijeras you'll ever see from a 60 year old man, but they are ingrained in a solid as nails structure. It's only hampered by the abrupt finish and especially by the lack of resolution of the referee getting involved. But Panther throws himself in this one and Guerrero is a great base and a willing brawler how is not afraid to look like lesser than as his role as a heel often requires. The progression of the top turnbuckle spot gives another layer in what is a match that touches greatness."
[6.0] "Good match. Having only seen two Blue Panther matches and being impressed by both, and seeing a score this high, I think I was expecting too much. This one wasn't great by any means or maybe I just wasn't feeling it or wasn't in the right headspace. Still overall a positive match. That Hechicero match was way better tho."
[5.0] "Look, Blue Panther moves incredibly well for a 65 year old but seeing a pensioner struggle to run and then fling himself to the outside isn't really for me. I've enjoyed seeing Blue Panther recently but it's mostly in big multiman tag matches where he can be protected but that's not the case here. It's not a car crash like most elderly wrestlers would have but by no means do I think this is good. Much like Tanahashi's retirement tour, I'm glad everyone's having fun but without emotional connection to the performer, all I can see is a decent outing from a legend who is past his prime. Props to him though, he can still hit a clean as fuck suicide dive"
[9.0] "Holy fucking shit. This match not only is a surprise to my eyes, it's the pure representation of happiness. I watched it with a smile in my face even before the match started, those guys are close to the end of their career and they know it. But even knowing that, they did a hell of a exhibition. And to be honest, it was not a easy match not only because this old fellas combined have more than 110 years old, but also because the crowd was crazy, La Arena del Mexico looked insane here, they were expecting a classic, and Panther and Guerrero delivered it a lot. I talked to a friend of mine one time already, Ultimo Guerrero is a hell of a guy to take moves. He does excellent bridges, and sold everything so well. Some guys can watch this match and think that Blue Panther was the guy here, and I will get it, but everything went right because Guerrero made it possible. Every Frankenstein, the incredibel spots from the top rope, incredible chemistry between two guys with incredible experience and chemistry. This is not close to a ten for me because the end was so fucking bad lmao. I get that it was necessary to be anticlimate, but the execution, different from everything did here, was poorly."
[9.0] "The fundamentals never grow old, especially in Arena Mexico where there's something genuinely magical in the air which allows Blue Panther to turn back the clock 30 years and fly & flip as effortlessly as he did in his 'prime'. Of course Ultimo Guerrero is the perfect reliable base for his rival's risk-taking and the molten crowd elevates every little thing they do into the stratosphere ****1/4"
[8.0] "Good match, especially that late in their carrers. Their perfomances were great even though the beginning was quite slow and Blue Panther was able to literally dragged the whole crowd throughout. I would say that the ending wasn't the best though. ***3/4"
[10.0] "Best singles match performance ever by a 60+ years old. I dont mind the bullshit finish, it was just great. Two legit all timers, hall of famers, with their latest extraordinary match (because calling it their last would probably be wrong), a must watch. No one has looked this good at almost 65 as Panther, we all talk about that, but Guerrero has been so good for so long that we forget he is in his mid 50s."
[10.0] "absolutely wild that two guys with a combined age pushing 120 had the best match of 2025 in august. It's just incredible the ways that these guys have been successful at maintaining their fundamentals at an insane level while incorporating modern pacing and different audience demands. A true showcase of two artists pushing the craft of professional wrestling to its absolute peak, squeezing every ounce of energy and emotion out of this one and making it feel like we were seeing what are now familiar spots for the first time. BP's work as a face was so good it should be taught in school, and UG, with his ability to display subtle surprise and shock when given an obvious negative crowd response for a heel spot was the perfect foil. This was like watching a bridge from the past into the next great generation of wrestling."
[8.0] "very spirited performance from both men, Ultimo Guerrero did a great job at making blue panther look 20 years younger in the ring. Blue Panther is one of the greats."
[10.0] "Blue Panther's babyface performance here was 'you have to see it to believe it' level great, which is something that doesn't happen every day and should never be taken for granted in pro-wrestling. Ultimo Guerrero was working heel so he shouldn't be deserving of any praise, but obviously he did a perfect job being a dance partner that Panther needed to shine as bright as he did. Also this was one of those rare matches that make me, just another fan, understand how incredible wealth of experience that both wrestlers have, combined with Actually Good execution of all the big spots, creates unique matches that hit the perfect note that makes the crowd get fully invested in everything that's happening. ****1/2+"
[9.0] "What would be a fun but standard spotfest gets elevated immensely by a lot of the details here; the tug of war hot start from UG, the insane number of dives and highspots for 64-year-old Blue Panther, the insane basing UG did to keep all of that fluid and safe, the crowd being so invested, and Panther hitting the fucking YES chants because Danielson is his new son. Exceptional match even with a finish that isn't perfectly clean. ****1/4+"
[8.0] "Yet another match between two of CMLL's greatest icons Despite their age Guerrero and Panther do a great job like Rudos and Tecnicos, with Panther still showing good agility, the level of the match is good and the ending is appreciated with the two fighters showing each other respect. Very good matc"
[9.0] "Ultimo Guerrero's rudo work is great from the very start and it sets up Blue Panther for an incredible tecnico performance, which he delivers in spades. He pulls out some insane moves that made his desperation to win palpable. The structure is basic but these two absolutely nailed it."
