Aleister Black vs. Buddy Murphy

[6.0] "Hey, it's a battle of the future House of Black guys. I've liked Buddy Murphy pretty well ever since he broke out on 205 Live but I have never gotten the hype with Tommy End, not in the indies, in WWE, or anywhere else he might have gone. Once again I just felt he was lacking something here and it stopped the match from hitting a higher level, though it was at the very least a decent bout."

[9.0] "Such a fantastic match between both men with fantastic in ring action and psychology between each other and both gave such amazing performances that meshed perfectly with each other too."

[7.0] "A match that wants to be quick. We feel a certain chemistry between the two wrestlers. Black surprises Murphy with a Black Mass at the end. (3*3/4)"

[9.0] "Murphy = good fight! The chemistry that these two had in combat is simply amazing. Murphy was not a favorite here, but it was not visible in the fight. The only thing that showed in the fight was speed, brutality and incredible talent. It's hard to believe that they both came out with a full set of teeth, because there were moments where they could easily lose them. It's a real shame that the federation got rid of both of these talented players in such a short time."

[8.0] "Dead crowd but a great match especially on the part of Buddy Murphy. I realy liked Aleister selling and Murphy's offense. The ending came out of nowhere but it didn't feel rushed. It was great match that i wanted it to go at least 5 - 10 mins more. ****"

[8.0] "A fantastic exhibition match between two great workers who complement each other so well. This is the first match of their great trilogy and although I slightly preferred the second one in Raw two weeks later, this one was very good in its own way. This one was especially different from the other two, with a very methodical Murphy targeting Black's jaw, his heel-work was very interesting to watch and Black's selling and offense too. Black was really badass with all this blood, he looked like a beast in this match. Overall I really enjoyed this contest between Murphy and Black, they have a top notch chemistry and only make bangers together. Solid stuff. (****)"

[7.0] "Good hard hitting match. Black and Murphy show great chemistry , however they weren't given alot of time so it wasnt as good as it should've been. (***3/4)"

[9.0] "This was an excellent match between two excellent strikers. It was completly different to the usual WWE standard and the brutality and stiffness was emphasized by what seemed to be a broken nose suffered by Black. These wrestlers legitimatley tried to kill each other it seemed. If there was more time in the match, more of a build and a less predictable winner this could have been 5 stars. I thoroughly enjoyed this match it was incredibly easy to watch. ****3/4"

[8.0] "Buddy Murphy is great in this match, he stands face to face with Aleister Black without any issue. I like how they try to counter each other so many times. In the end it's clear that Black was going to win, but it's still highly enjoyable and it's neither a long nor a short match, just the right timing. ****"

[8.0] "This was compulsive viewing, couldn't take my eyes off it for a second for fear of missing something. While probably 90% of attacks were kicks or knees, both men are so skilled at performing them convincingly that the shortage of throws and holds didn't matter. The pace was relentless and made up for the lack of convincing heat between the two; when you don't stop hitting each other fans don't have time to notice that there's no story. Would have been a 10 if there was the slightest feeling that Buddy would win, but that was never going to happen and the Black Mass from nowhere was far too predictable."

[8.0] "Great match and it reached the high expectations. I'm happy about the decent length. It just seems more like a beginning for a great long-term rivalry and it actually shouldn't be more. Unfortunately the crowd took away the emotions from this match, which is not the match's fault, but just has a big influence on it. Would've loved to see this with an engaging active crowd."

[9.0] "Very good match. Strikes were spot on. Aleister Black being busted early and fighting through it added a lot to the match as well. ****1/4 great match"

[7.0] "Another pretty good match, although I think it could've been better. The closing stretch was great and the match had nice sequences and reversals along with a good pace. ***3/4"

[6.0] "Really well worked as one would expect, but completely lacking any heat. As much I feel that everything, at a fundamental level, was fine, nobody really cared until the final bell. This is more of an indictment on WWE's audience conditioning than it is anything else, but regardless. ***"

[8.0] "That was really good, not exactly the full potential of that match-up but for sure delivered. The crowd wasn't completely into it and it hurt the match. This and the fact that they had too much rest hold with no purpose. Other than that, some really great sequence and striking from both, the closing stretch was really great and I hope they can have a rematch in a Gargano/Black way because they would kill it if that was the case.
