[8.0] "Private Party received a modest reaction during their entrance with a few scattered cheers, while SCU were greeted more warmly and clearly louder than Private Party, and Best Friends drew the biggest reaction of the three teams, with Trent even taking a moment to flirt with the bikini-clad women at the top of the ramp. Before the match even started, the crowd broke into loud "A-E-W" chants, and an early high-flying sequence from Private Party brought the fans to their feet for a standing ovation, followed by chants of "Private Party." My favorite spot came during an incredible sequence where Mark Quinn appeared to be setting up a superplex, only for Trent to run up the ropes and attempt a belly-to-back suplex, which Quinn countered midair by landing on his feet, doing a brief Michael Jackson-style dance, hitting Trent with a Pele kick, hurricanrana'ing Kazarian off the top rope, and flowing directly into Isiah Cassidy's cutter, Gin & Juice, which was excellent. The match ended when Best Friends hit Isiah Cassidy with Strong Zero to score the pinfall victory, and I rated the match a 7.5. Quinn's athleticism stood out all night, showing ridiculous bounce on his crossbody and 450 splash, while Cassidy's exaggerated screams--especially after Trent's chops--added a lot of humor. SCU were very impressive with crisp double-team offense, and Kazarian in particular had a strong showing with multiple standout moments, including a tornado DDT on Quinn on the floor, slingshotting Cassidy into the ring for a cutter, and consistently looking sharp. Private Party were clearly the high-flying fan favorites, SCU brought the most traditional and polished wrestling style, and Best Friends rounded things out with solid work and some fun moments despite being the least flashy team. Other highlights included Quinn leapfrogging Cassidy to double stomp Kazarian, Private Party hitting Silly String on Chuck Taylor, Cassidy's springboard moonsault wiping out SCU, and overall a very fun, energetic match."

[6.0] "Good opportunity to give Private Party some shine and get them over with a wider audience. Match was fun overall, 3.25 stars"

[4.0] "Good action with three core teams from the early days of the promotion. Nothing exceptional, but correct for a preshow. Unfortunately, the setting of the match with the presence of objectified women really bothered me. Even in the second degree, I found it inappropriate and unnecessary. In-ring quality: 0.75/4. Stakes: 0.5/2. Justification: 0.75/1. Place on the card: 1/1. Suspense: 1/1. Bonus/malus: -1 for sexist setting. Total: 4/10. Match seen on AEW Plus."

[8.0] "I thought this was a great match. All 6 of these guys did great here, but the ones who stole the show were easily Private Party. Their unique ring gear as well as their high flying style made them stand outs. This was a lot of fun, with the Best Friends getting the win, but the victory could have gone to anyone and I'd still have been happy."

[6.0] "This was fine, highlight of this match was Private Party getting over and Isiah screaming. Crowd was behind them, but also fairly quiet for large portions of the match. Nothing great, but ok for a buy. The Dark Order stuff afterwards was amusing."

[7.0] "I really enjoyed this one, I thought this was a lot of fun. The multi man tag format worked well here and protected a pretty green Private Party. SCU were probably one of the best early AEW acts; kinda a shame they didn't last together longer in AEW. Best Friends won this match which got them a chance bye in the first round of the upcoming tag match at All Out.."

[8.0] "Tremendous introduction for Private Party, who were able to steal the show with their natural charisma and their aerial manuvers. Best Friends and SCU were impressive as well, great perfomances by both teams. The crowd loved it and the action was fast-paced and exicting with lots of nice sequences, especially towards the end. 8/10 - 4*/5*"

[9.0] "An excellent match to set the audience on fire for the main card. Private Party did their first big impression in the company, SCU was awesome like always and Best Friends did a solid performance (even if I don't like'em that much). Great chemistry between all these workers. Unfortunately, the rest of the pre-show won't be as good."

[9.0] "Great match. I absolutely loved this three-way full of crazy moments and solid action. Right from the start they set an intensive rhythm and it never let up, an all-action contest that you can't get bored with. Everyone has been good here and everyone has done the job but I want to emphasize how much Private Party looked like a million bucks here, like true STARS. It was a bit in that match that the birth of the team took place in AEW and I don't think they could have dreamed of a better introduction, this match was for them and they made the best of it. SCU and Best Friends were solid in their heel-work on PP as well and I see no reason to complain about this match. A fantastic showcase of good wrestling that some will call a 'spotfest without any psychology' but personally, I loved it."

[7.0] "How did the first match on Fyter Fest -- and one that was on the pre-show to boot -- end up being the best match on the entire show? This was a hell of a spotfest. Private Party announced themselves strongly and totally stole the show with their standout charisma and fantastic aerial and tag-team spots. SCU and Best Friends had their own impressive spots, and each team felt unique overall, which was another element I appreciated. Lots of impressive complex multi-man exchanges, especially towards the end. Just a great way to open the show. ***1/2"

It's just good, fun action from bell-to-bell w/ everyone looking good. Private Party especially impressed. Really loved them here & the match was a brilliant showcase for the lads - definitely makes me want to see more of them."
