Kris Statlander vs. Penelope Ford

[5.0] "These two mostly did some fine enough work, but I don't think it was elevated to anything beyond that."

[6.0] "A pretty solid match that just missed the 7/10 mark for me (AKA 3.25/5 or 6.5/10). I liked the exchanges these two had, even if there were certain spots where it was a little show. Either way, cool to see Statlander getting the win after losing at Worlds End, and I'm intrigued to see where she goes from here."

[5.0] "I remember before Mina Shirakawa's championship match she had a 50/50 match Emi Sakura that Bryan Alvarez dragged because it's stupid to have a #1 contender not have a strong win going into a title match. That didn't bug me because everyone knows Emi Sakura is a great wrestler. This made way less sense considering Kris Statlander made the challenge for the TBS title moments before the match with Penelope Ford and Ford is a solid wrestler but she's not exactly known for putting on great matches. This was overall pretty inoffensive but really should've been a squash in my opinion"

[5.0] "It's fine -- not really Penelope's fault that I don't really care about her, but I was never really engaged with the match. I will remember nothing of it in three weeks."

[6.0] "One of the better matches of Penelope's career. I feel that if she has the best opponents then it brings the best out of her. She needs to be carried almost everytime which is a major obstacle in her career. It was fun especially the shotgun dropkick with Penelope taking the bump on the ramp. Kris showcased her impressive power and strength which is always a pleasure to see. ***"

[6.0] "Very fun TV match. Essentially just Kris throwing around Penelope while Penelope bumps like crazy. It's pretty short and inconsequential but the crowd were into it and the match was pretty fun overall. ***"

[6.0] "I enjoyed this. Easily the best Penelope ford match I've seen, but she was in ring with Stat. So water wet and sky blue. But that being said, I enjoyed this. 6/10."

[5.0] "This picked up for the finish but was pretty basic throughout and not as interesting as you'd think it'd be between these two."

[4.0] "Funny to think this match would have probably happened on a GCW Hammerstein show in a different timeline. Here it was just a basic match to give Kris a win. Both are really good but don't have much chemistry."

[7.0] "Put some respect on Penelope's name, she can go, she's always been able to go. Kris is a beast and I'm looking forward to her vs Mercedes again"

[6.0] "It was okay, nothing special. The match felt like a continuation of the same bout with Willow the night before. No real surprises in the content or the finish."

[7.0] "Good match. Penelope is underrated and Kris is one of the best women wrestlers on AEW so this was as about as good as you could expect."

[6.0] "Solid match that saw Kris Statlander earn a rematch for the TBS Championship over a game Penelope Ford, who's been sneaky good since her return to action. Mercedes Moné has a lot on her plate with this rematch at World's End and then Mina Shirakawa at the Tokyo Dome."
