Austin Aries vs. Martin Kirby

[7.0] "This was a pretty good match. Martin Kirby was one of the top faces of Defiant Wrestling. When he started, he was a heel but with his over the top personality and having finishes like the Sable Bomb and the Zoidberg Elbow, the fans turned him babyface. After Team Defiant beat Team IPW at the Chain Reaction show, most of the IPW guys abandoned Aries, seemingly leaving him 1 on 1 with Kirby. This was a slow paced match, with Kirby building up momentum and even using the Last Chancery on Aries. But then someone rang the bell without Aries tapping. It turned out to be No Fun Dunne, the one IPW guy who stuck by Aries, coming out with the bell in hand to distract Kirby. Kirby managed to regain control but Aries got his knees up when Kirby went for the Zoidberg Elbow. One brainbuster and Last Chancery later and Aries retained. Despite 1 or 2 miscommunications, this was the best title match Aries has had so far in Defiant Wrestling. ***1/2"
