[8.0] "Good match. Good pacing. It's that kind of match when it's done you shake your head in agreement. I don't see what a lot of other people see though. It's not the type of match I'm going to remember in a couple of weeks."

[9.0] "This is easily among the best New Japan Pro Wrestling matches of the year, and it is also among the best tag team matches of the year. I wish I watched more of the Super Junior Teg League now. NJPW has been on a down swing overall and this hindered the junior divison and the junior tag division especially, with a lot of weak teams running about, such as 'Flying Tigers' or 'Six or Nine'. Now it has gotten to a good state and the match proves they have gotten back on track with the juniors, although more needs to be done for the heavyweights. ****3/4"

"Probably one of the best tag matches NJPW has produced this year with both teams proving why they deserved the win and there wasn't a clearly obvious winner throughout the match which therefore made it more entertaining for an audience to watch. Great spots throughout the whole match however it is arguably noticeable that the end of the match delivered. The middle however could have used some work as it didn't feel very smooth, especially the top rope hurricanrana from Robbie Eagles which ended up having to be assisted by TJP which ended up killing the flow of the match however it was quickly forgotten about thanks to the sequence from Francesco Akira and Robbie Eagles. Kosei Fujita also proved himself in this match as a star in the making but I do feel that he should mainly be focusing on being a singles wrestler instead of a tag team one because of the potential that he has but at the same time, the tag division is a great way to get him into the big leagues within the junior division. A downside of this match was the ending as the booking choice wasn't the best since I can understand why Catch 2/2 can get the title shot too since they defeated the champions but it then again also defeats the whole point of the final to begin with since in the end both teams got the reward for the match. Maybe it's just the idea of a four way tag match being overwhelming but I'd prefer if WK19 was just Ichiban Sweet Boys and Intergalactic Jet Setters ****.5 (can't rate since it's my first review but I'd probably give it 8/10)"

[7.0] "Really good tag team match from the Super jr finals. Very happy I got to see everyone involved show out. Last time I saw TJP was in the Opera Cup for MLW in a very disappointing match with Kenta, Robbie Eagles and Kosei Fujita's match against Bullet Club War Dogs left much to be desired in my opinion and I haven't seen Francesco Akira before at all. Everyone was solid to pretty great. There was some mistiming and poor communication in the middle but that was quickly brushed over by how tight the finish was. If it was up to me Fujita would've picked up the win for TMDK seeing as he's the youngest winner of tournament but that being said Robbie Eagles was the MVP on the match so I'm not upset. United Empire was great as well but I'm glad this has been a great accolade to chuck on the pile of achievements for The Mighty Don't Kneel after a great 2024"

[7.0] "Meet our cast of characters! Robbie Eagles, an Australian high flyer who I have some affection for, his style is not my favorite in the modern Ospreay-ish ways but I think he is better grounded that some and usually shows out well. Francesco Akira, a very Ospreay-ish guy who I am not so high on. TJP, the most widely known guy in the match thanks to his time in WWE or even perhaps his time as "Manik" in TNA, is a guy I used to like a lot as a strong technical wrestler. I feel he kind of stagnated a bit at some point and I'm less interested in him now, but he can put out a good showing. And Kosei Fujita, who... well I don't know him super well but he seems like a solid NJPW Jr style wrestler. This is the kind of match that slots into a bit of an odd place for me. Did I enjoy it? I'd say yes, it was fast paced and featured some cool moments, and while it's not my favorite style it was well performed. There is some dissonance when I look at how others rate the match, 4.75 stars from ol' Meltz and close to a 9.0 on Cagematch. It's currently the #46 match of the year on the site, while I don't think it'd be in my top 300. These folks seem to see a modern classic, while I see a fairly fun match I won't remember 3 days later. But to each their own, no harm in differing opinions."

[9.0] "This match was absolutely amazing. Damn near perfect. The last like 5 minutes or whatever it was had me on the edge of my seat or jumping up and down from excitement. It was so fast and frenetic in the greatest way possible. The absolute perfect final for what was an amazing tournament. I do have to dock like 1 point because the whole creative bundling of this with the announcement afterwards going into a 3 way and then a 4 way sort of made the entire tournament pointless. If they had seperated them into say Jet Setters vs Catch 2/2 and TMDK vs War Dogs, then the winners face off at Wrestle Kingdom, that would have made a lot of sense. But instead, they made it super messy and contrived. Not a fan of the booking, but this tournament and match was packed full of quality."

[7.0] "Execution 3.5 really great execution on pretty complex sequences. A couple of minor misses and the strikes didnt always look great. But the level of difficulty and how well it was pulled off was still impressive Efficiency 4 this never let up and they didnt lean into the typical tropes. The pacing and build of more and more complexity and speed was great. Awesome finishing run of creative false finishes. Immersion 3.5 these guys stay in character pretty well. A few times they had the "im a guy doing spots" face and it didnt look as much like a struggle. That said, they sold desperation and intensity really well. Story 3 pretty basic story of 2 great teams with chemistry, each led by a veteran with both of the younger team members proving themselves Intangibles 3.5 the crowd was hot by the end. All 4 were feeling it at the end as well and playing to/with the crowd. 3.75 stars overall"

Ichiban Sweet Boys are slowly becoming one of my fav teams especially Eagles who's so quick & technical and Fujita who's a MONSTER & becoming a star in his own right and this match helped elevated that! Catch 2/2 worked well being the most verst in Super Tag League, kinda mirroring Ichiban Sweet Boys even in their style of wrestling! I really enjoyed this match & definitely one I'm gonna look back on!"

[8.0] "Crazy and fast paced tag match that over-delivered as the finals in the Super Junior Tag League and was arguably the best match of the tournament in what was a really strong tournament over all. Catch 22 are the defending champions, but TMDK probably had the most momentum of any tag team both coming into and put pf the tournament. Fujita and Akira traded high aerial moves to the outside, while TJP continued locking in multiple submissions, yet still never slowing the matchs pace down. Akira hit this nasty looking poison rana to Eagles, before TJP landed a double stomp off the top to Fujita. Kosei hit multiple German suplexs throughout and damn they looked good. Akira once again took it to the outside with a gorgeous Asahi moonsault, before Eagles took it back in with a hurricanrana from the top. I thought the match was over when Kosei hit this crazy looking stunner on TJP, but Akira made the save. Both teams had some miscommunication with one another, before attempting to trade flash pinfalls and rollups, but Eagles shifted TJPs weight and hooked him in tight for the pin. Crowd was on fire for that final stretch and this really turned into something special. Even with the Junior Tag League win, both teams were challenged by the current champions the Jet Setters, but then all eight guys are attacked by the War Dogs, setting up a four-way for the Tokyo Dome in what should be a great match. Overall, this was probably my favorite and arguably the best match of the night. (****1/4)"

This match seemed like peak NJPW (2015~2019), the energy, the crowd, the well-timed and beautifully executed spots and one awesome final sprint that leaves your jaw resting wide open on the floor. Crazy back and forth all around, which can leave you confused if you're not paying full attention. I love that TMDK got the win, they deserve it so much. ****1/2"

[8.0] "First great match of the show and a satisfying final for a solid tournament. The timing necessary for everybody to work at this pace without making an mistakes that I noticed is insane and a credit to all involved. A non-stop sprint that delivered everything that this division promises without going any longer than it needed to. Ichiban Sweet Boys feels like a tool to help develop Fujita more than an actual long-term team and this tournament focused on him fighting from underneath so it was nice for Robbie to get the pinfall here in the end to show appreciation for his hard work that went under the radar. ****"

I had high expectations for the match and oh boy they blew those expectations out of the water. I can't wait for TMDK to win the Jr gold, especially Fujita with how good he's gotten in such little time he's been back in New Japan."

This was really thrilling with off the wall action from the get, Fujita looks like an absolute star, Eagles continues to be one of the most reliable and solid technical juniors and Catch 22 just do wonders as a duo even if I am not the biggest fan of TJP solo. Robbie Eagles got the win with a quick rollup after a gutwrenching series of nearfalls and it was well deserved for the Ichiban Sweet Boys! Well worth a watch and definitely worth going out of your way for."

All 4 men with a hell of a performance, and TJP + Robbie proving themselves to be criminally underrated still at this point in their careers. As for Akira + Fujita, they are the future of New Japan! Brilliant match, full of drama, and full of creative tag work that really makes me excited for the future of this division. This pairing of teams could main event ANY NJPW show into the future and I would be damn happy!"

This is all we can expect from these four. They paid hommage to the great tag team with throwback moves like 3D, a missed Tower of Doom, a Shatter Machine. It was just so great"

More impressively, this was an equal showcase for all 4 guys in this match instead of taking the easy route and prioritising the obviously deserving Fujita and Akira. Some really fun spots through the ending as well, loved the fact that there was barely any kick-outs and everyone was being broken out. Felt super high stakes for its whole runtime and not a soul set a foot wrong."

What made this match work is that the entire time each team was trying to win. The crowd got behind every nearfall and each time someone jumped in to break up a pin, the crowd reacted like it was a huge deal. The smoothness in the action and momentum swings was also something to behold. The best Super Junior tag finals in years. I am really excited for the Junior tag division heading into 2025."
