[6.0] "I thought this was a solid show for the first episode of Superstars (of Wrestling) and I'm glad I've finally gotten around to watching from the start. My favourite part of this show was The Flower Shop with Roddy Piper; they were in the middle of the Adonis/Piper feud and there's a brilliant moment here where Jimmy Hart reads a letter given by Piper revealing Piper's Pit will replace the Flower Shop next week. The opening tag with Steamboat and Afi teaming was fun and frenetic. Macho Man also had a good promo on this show. This was built as the debut of Koko B. Ware, and while the Hart Foundation won the match Koko did still get a pretty good spotlight. There is plenty of mediocre on this show but I was surprised by the amount of good that was here."
[5.0] "The production, commentary and crowd were great. The matches were just squash matches. Even Paul Roma & Koko vs Hart Foundation which I was excited about was in and out in less than 120 seconds. They didnt even give us a main event worthy of the wait. 5*"
[4.0] "The Steamboat/Afi tag match was pretty good, but everything was kind of filler. This show also featured the return of Roddy Piper as he walks onto the Flower Shop set and insults Adrian Adonis. This was probably the highlight of the show. Decent debut show, but basically a bunch of squahs matches as everything was back then."
[3.0] "This was an adequate show, but there wasn't anything that would make it close to satisfactory. The matches were mostly ok, but not great. They had a few high points, and Coco Beware had some great dropkicks, but that alone is not going to make the entire show better."
