[9.0] "One of the Collisions so far: the opening three way was awesome, my match of the night. Having Christian winning the title was the right choice as he is the best heel in the company. Rvd & Hook vs. 2point0 was satisfacotry, it was cool to see Van Dam again. The crowd loved him and he looked in great shape. Don Callis' backstage promo was great. Andrade vs. White was really good, alotugh it was a bit dissapointing. The dirty finish leaves space for a rematch. Hogan vs. Hart was the worst match of the night. Hart's character work is awesome but her in-ring work doesn't excite me at all, maybe with a more expierenced opponent like Statlander she can deliver a better perfomance. Ftr vs. Workhorsemen was short but solid. Post-match promo by Aussie Open was cool. Starks vs. Danielson wasn't as good as their first match but it was still a great, hard-hitting and intense battle. The final minutes were perfect. Overall: there were three great match and the rest of the card delivered as well. The pacing and the structure of the show were awesome and the build-up towards WrestleDream was great."
[5.0] "These supposed "all time" episodes of AEW TV continue to be mostly very mediocre, with there being only one match/segment here that I'd give a good recommendation for. Saurus vs Christian vs Darby was alright. Saurus was once again a good monster with his genuinely monstrous offence, though I could do without his monster-like character work. Christian's sneaky and cheap tactics and character-work moments were pretty entertaining, too. Darby was the real star here with his crazy daredevil attacks and insanely risky bumps. I did lose some interest in Darby's later 1-v-2 hope spots just because they felt a bit too convenient, but Christian pinning Saurus to officially become TNT champ was cool. ***. Parker & Menard vs Hook & RVD was pretty pointless. Hook remains a mostly spot-based wrestler and thus quite limited, but his unique judo style and power moves are at least interesting. RVD just did all his signature spots for cheap nostalgia pops, at least doing so with okay technique. Parker and Menard were as boring and worthless as ever, both as characters and as in-ring workers. **1/4. Dark Order's backstage vignette was pretty lame. Even if their dorkiness' is intentional, it's still really off-putting. The Kingdom's backstage promo was technically well-delivered but I still struggle caring at all about them. Kiera vs Julia was an alright squash. I still find Julia's "dark witch" character rather try-hard, especially when she plays emotionless and 'cold' when in control, but her beatdown work was actually alright, and she didn't look too sloppy. Kiera had generic offence but at least decent energy. TS;NR (too short; no rating). The Righteous' vignette had good production values, but their characters feel far too hokey and NXT-like. Andrade vs Jay was pretty good and easily MOTN. I really enjoyed how physical and how skilled with their selling both men were, with Jay's arrogant displays, heavy beatdown work, and cheap tactics placing him firmly as the heel, while Andrade's confident displays and his flashy and athletic offence solidified him as the babyface. They had some really good big-move trades and big spots in the final 1/3rd, but BC Gold's constant interference was pretty egregious and definitely detracted from the match. ***1/4 - ***1/2. Ortiz's vignette calling out Santana was short but effective, as was Taylor's backstage promo calling out Lee. FTR vs WorkHorsemen was surprisingly quite exciting despite how short it was, with both Henry and Drake delivering some pretty impressive attacks and getting some fun hope spots, while FTR were all around very solid and impressed as they gained control and took the win. TS;NR. Aussie Open were pretty dire on commentary, though their post-match callout promo was better, even if FTR immediately showed them up with their response. CJ and Miro's backstage confrontation continued their odd new relationship, which I'm still not sure if I'm a fan of. Danielson vs Starks was clearly inferior to their Strap match, and I have no clue why it was booked. I did enjoy both men's selling and character work, and Danielson's aggressive and gritty technical work will never not be impressive, but aside from that this featured some very generic and occasionally even quite weak weapon attacks and brawling exchanges. Also, having Danielson beat Starks AGAIN felt stupid. We don't even have the "at least Starks looked strong and compelling in defeat" silver lining this time, either. This really just solidified that Starks is a mid-carder and not a top guy, which is asinine. But I'm at least sure a win over... uh... Wheeler Yuta at WrestleDream... will help propel Starks to the top. ***"
[7.0] "A good show just wish it didnt havent had the boring filler in-between. Did I really need to FTR have a pointless tag title match? No not really, it felt sub AEW Dark levels honestly and had no place on weekly tv. 1 womens match and its less than 5 mins..cool. A random RVD tag match for some reason? I just dont get the booking sometimes because there is good stuff here, but when theres so much wrestling media I really don't need my time wasted with filler like this. The triple threat, Andrade vs White & Danielson vs Starks were all really good and if this episode was just that then it's easy to give this a 9, but unfortunately it wasnt."
[9.0] "A weekly Collision show that more than delivers, they finally make things more entertaining and mixed with great wrestling. The promos and segments, for the most part, enjoyable and enjoyable, I think they are doing a great job with this show on Saturdays and although there are still nuances that make it look like a simple copy of Dynamite but in another color it's getting that red color it should have, I quite liked this week's show."
[9.0] "Really good show and all both for matches and promos, but I'm commenting so I can give FTR/Workhorsemen a rating because it barely missed 5 minutes. Workhorsemen have been underrated since EVOLVE put them together, and they really excel in that "southern indie strong style" style that FTR definitely sit close to; they really brought it in a great sprint that let Drake show what he could do after a while doing jobber stuff with The Wingmen. ***1/2 for that."
[10.0] "Wasnt an easy feat to match the massive Grand Slam but they actually surpassed it in my humble opinion. If Grand Slam was their All In, this Collision was their All Out. From Christian finally winning the TNT belt, the excellent Jay White/Andrade, FTR/WorkHorsemen, main event and even the showcase of Julia Hart, this episode is up there with the all-time greats."
[8.0] "This was a strong episode where mainly all the wrestling hit, although there was a bit of lul in the show after the RVD tag match. The opener was a good match, and a great advancement in the Christian Luchasaurus storyline. RVD match was the perfect usage of him, and the FTR tag was a great sprint. Andrade vs Jay White was very good, and Bryan/Starks delivered another amazing match."
"This was a stacked card and it mostly delivered with a trio of solid matches. I had a good time with the show and the White vs. Andrade match was a treat. They also rapid fired the build towards WrestleDream, which certainly needed it with about a week to go before the show. They might want to work on that in the future, but I have no reason to believe they actually will. For now though, rather strong Collision here, though Im not sure theyre going to be able to have this strong of a card every week."
[9.0] "I was at this show live and it was a whole lot of fun. The three way was killer stuff, JD Drake got to do his Vadersault, and the main event was an absolute classic. My only complaint is Tony Khan needs to make use of the big screen because it was hard as hell to see what was happening during parts of the death match. But still, really fun show."
[6.0] "Overall a good show with a great main event. The main event is what carried the show. Solid match between Andrade and White. Serviceable matches for Julia Hart and FTR. Allin put up a good effort despite being outnumbered. Hopefully, Allin beats Cage at Wrestledream and finally shuts him up."
[9.0] "This was easily the best episode of Collision ever and one of the best episodes of AEW television. We opened with a three-way for the TNT Title between Darby Allin, Christian Cage, and Luchasaurus. This was an excellent match, although the feud has seemed extremely rushed. I think we may be on the Edge of big things for Cage. We then got Hook and Rob Van Dam teaming up against Daddy Magic and Cool Hand Ang. This was a largely forgettable match, although RVD looked great for his age. Julia Hart then had a quick match against Kiera Hogan to set up her TBS Title challenge. We then got Jay White vs. Andrade El Idolo in a fantastic match. After that, FTR defended their Tag Team Titles against the WorkHorsemen in a decent short match. Finally, we got the Match of the Night as Bryan Danielson took on Ricky Starks in a Texas Death Match. This was excellent, but their match at the PPV was still better. I'm guessing Bryan just wanted a match where they didn't have to use smoke and mirrors to hide how injured he was."
[9.0] "Maybe the best episode of Collision so far, every match, even the short ones, had some spots and something to tell. From Don Callis revealing that Ospreay is in the match on PPV, from Eddie Kingston challenging Shibata, the promos and segments were also really good. A wrestling weekly TV show doesn't get much better than this."
[9.0] "Best Collision so far. Show feels more integrated into the greater AEW universe, and the weird inter-AEW tribalism is already mostly gone. Not a single segment or match missed tonight. Everything connected to a greater story, and the matches were all good, even the FTR/Workhorsemen was 5 minutes of solid action. The RVD match was a nice crowd pleasure, and the other matches were all top tier."
[9.0] "Quite frankly the best Collision we have had so far and quite honestly the best week of AEW/ROH programming we may have had. All the matches were at the very least fun and many of them like White/Andrade and the main event were downright great. Also just loved the opener. Did a VERY good thing setting up Luchasaurus eventual leave from Christian. RVD on my screen will never be something I dont want and he still does his moves like no other. Promos also feel like they are in service of building stuff too. Just setting up WRESTLEDREAM and future programming in an engaging way. God this was good. Hell even the commentary and the crowd I didnt have an issue with tonight. They are still not my favorite but they did their best job to not detract from the action."
[9.0] "This was arguably the best episode of Collision since the show launched (I'd put the Better than You Baby vs FTR episode up there in the Top 3 alongside the FTR vs Jay White/Juice Robinson hour-long match). Minor quibbles that kept it from being perfect include: the poor timing of commercials in the main event, and the fact that Julia Hart/Willow matchup was unexpectedly dropped (though the kayfabe reason given on broadcast works for me, and Brody King's promo explanation made sense). I might be in the minority on this, but I absolutely adored the White/Andrade match beyond the Texas Death Match even. The TNT three-way was handled very well from an in-ring and storytelling perspective. The pre-tapes and backstage promos were strong, as well."
[8.0] "Christian Cage vs Darby Allin vs Luchasaurus: Interesting match that wasn't so much a three way but a two on one handicap match, Christian Cage pinning Luchasaurus was shocking to see and makes for an interesting watch as to what could happen down the road [***]. Hook & Rob Van Dam vs Angelo Parker & Matt Menard: Okay match but nothing extroadinary, RVD and Hook worked well together and glad RVD got the win [**1/4]. Julia Hart vs Kiera Hogan: Basically a filler squash match that made Julia Hart look good again, then issuing a challenge to Kris Statlander for the TBS championship [*]. Andrade El Idolo vs Jay White: This match was between two of the top wrestlers in AEW and they gave all they had and it resulted in a really good match, that's all there is to say about it [****1/4]. FTR vs The WorkHorsemen: A decent match that featured some good back and forth match, even if it was under 5 minutes, they could have had more time which would have made it better [**]. Bryan Danielson vs Ricky Starks: An absolute brutal match, a good way to end Collision, Danielson and Starks upped their game and this showed, this was better than their strap match at All Out, could not fault it one bit [*****]"
[6.0] "The best episode in a month or so but that's a low bar. The opening match was good storyline fun with a nice finish to give that a lot more legs. The rest of the first hour was mainly nothingness, sprinkled in with some shite Dynamite style promos and vignettes. Second hour started nice with White and Andrade but again, AEW seem to be building a storyline back to front so they have a lot of hard work to do to make that one work. The tag title match was ridiculous as they brought out Aussie Open to hype an FTR match, signalling WorkHorsemen had no chance, so why in the hell do they get a title match to begin with? And then the main event which I was not a fan of at all, which is incredibly disappointing as I love both guys."
[9.0] "This show was about as good as a TV wrestling show can get in terms of in ring. Only thing stopping it from being perfect was a lack of any big time promos. Even the short matches delivered in what they needed to in terms of building a programme. Other than Grand Slam Rampage, I have been really enjoying AEW TV's since All Out."
[7.0] "Good show, I'm glad they finally just put the belt on Christian because it wasn't doing anything for Luchasaurus and it earns more prestige with Christian actually being in the history of the TNT Title, also the match was good just like most Darby matches he CARRIES and takes hard bumps, like he aint selling he actually feelin that I know it and I respect it. Next up, RVD The Whole FN Show! Im so glad RVD can still hang these days, he's one of a kind and will never be duplicated or replicated. He had a good match with Hook on his team against jobbers, but hey AEW this is the chance to get Matt Riddle and have him team with RVD now that Matt's a free agent.. im just sayin that would be a dream team.. if this were in the days of WCW I bet Riddle would have debuted already not even 24hrs after release to be RVDs secret tag partner it would have been great, but we shall see, I know Riddle has his problems but I dont see it effecting his in ring abilities or how nice of a person he is. After RVD's match I began to lose interest though with the Julia Hart match, Jay White and Andrade had a good match tho but in my opinon it went on for too long especially having the whole Bullet Club Gold out there to interfere I couldnt focus on the match going in and out of commercials for a singles match that doesn't mean much. After that FTR whoop some jobbers and then cut a promo against Aussie Open and yeah it was whatever.. jus keep them tag titles warm for the Nemeths or Ridde & RVD unless they wanna drop em to Bullet Club Gold that'd be cool w me I like that whole group. Lastly Bryan Danielson and Ricky Starks have possibly the best match of the week that I've seen between AEW and WWE but nothing really happened besides Bryan whoopin Ricky. I think if the Julia Hart match was on Rampage and then have ROH Six Man match on this show and replace the ftr match with a statlander match if you need a womens match it would have been enough to give it a 8/10 show but I'll stick my 7 mainly because the 3rd, 4th, and 5th matches (half the show) could have been done better."
[10.0] "When I saw the card I was excited and looking forward to this episode, and boy did it deliver on all angles. This may be the best episode of Collision so far. Top to bottom entertaining and engaging, with another crazy match between Danielson and Starks to close it out. AEW has hit a stride and its been exciting to watch everything unfold. All roads are leading to WrestleDream which on paper is looking like an all time PPV. With The American Dragon becoming the face of Collision, it just feels different and has me optimistic for the future of the show. Definitely check this one out. 10/10"
[10.0] "Probably one of the most perfectly structured TV shows, as a whole, I've seen from AEW, and certainly the best episode of Collision, hands down. Goddamn has this show improved since integrating it properly into the greater AEW universe over the past few weeks. Fast paced but still easily digestible, and every segment and match was rich with story beats. Just great stuff. The TNT match was my favorite, Christian is so entertaining right now. Julia looked great. RVD is looking spry and the crowd loves him. FTR have a nice, short little match to give the Workhorsemen some shine. White vs Andrade was bonkers. The main event was very good, if not as good as their previous match due to it's layout and ending, but still awesome."
[10.0] "The best episode of Collision's short life, topping the great episodes of Calgary and Hartford. TK's focus in building rivalries and the big events (Grand Slam and WrestleDream) is back to pre-summer of 2022 levels. 3 great matches, with the other 3 accomplishing their mission or being solid in itself. The opener rocked, with Christian retaining his TNT belt. That's right Andrade/Jay was very good with better matches between them on the future. The TDM was great, not at the level of Mox/Hangman and the previous Startks/Danielson, but still pretty damn great. All of the in-between segments were building to something, which feels like a miracle after the past few months of shoddy booking. Good signals for the future of AEW. 9.5/10"
[10.0] "Yeah, we gotta give credit where credit is due. This show was flawless. From top to bottom. Everything worked the way it supposed. The oppening 3-way was pretty good and solidify Christian even more. Rob Van Dam prooved why he is one of the most oustanding wrestlers of all time in an incredible performance with HOOK. Jay White and Andrade delivered and I liked the Julia Hart construction to face Kris Statlender at WrestleDream. Loved the Workhorsemen performance. The main event was outstanding. One of the best episodes of Collision so far."
[9.0] "This was one of the best Collision episodes yet. We started off with a fun triple threat (although it was more of a handicap match) between Luchasaurus, Christian Cage, and Darby Allin for the TNT championship. This was a very fun opener and Christian winning the belt (for real this time) was the right call. Now there is no disputing him as TNT champion. Hook and RVD vs. Cool Hand Ang and Daddy Magic was decent enough. RVD still looks good in the ring doing his greatest hits, and at the end of the day, that's what people should expect out of RVD at this stage. He's not gonna have classic matches anymore at 52 years old. Julia Hart vs Kiera Hogan was the weakest match on the show but that doesn't mean it was bad. Julia is getting a big push right now and we shall see if she's ready for PPV. I think Kris Statlander is the perfect opponent for her at the PPV though because she's a ring general in the women's division. Jay White vs. Andrade was a super fun television match and I think they need to run this match back soon. I feel like Andrade is really motivated right now to put on good performances again. FTR vs The Workhorseman was really fun for the time they had and JD Drake is a beast in the ring. I hope The Workhorseman continue to get booked on shows and show the audience what they are made of. The main event Texas Deathmatch between Bryan Danielson and Ricky Starks ruled and is one of the best matches in the short history of Collision. They had an intensity in this match that made it really special. Nobody can do violence in pro wrestling better than the greatest of all time Bryan Danielson. Ricky Starks continues to show the fans why he's a superstar in this business and I really think he will be AEW champion someday. Excellent show from AEW and I'm very excited for WrestleDream which has a stacked lineup of great matches that are sure to deliver big."
