Gutes Ding."
[4.0] "Collision in the first few episodes (and most recently with the hour long 2/3 falls FTR vs Jay and Juice match) had been must see cant miss TV. First few episodes I was watching live as they were happening because I cared and was invested.. Can't say the same for this one this for the most part was a filler card and apart from the main event this show felt very weird and things either dragged out for way too long (BCG being out there for what felt like 45 minutes) or way too short, most midcard matches in this felt like they were over before they even started.. 4 points for a decent main event and some having some solid wrestlers out there I like Bullet Club I just don't want to see them get go away heat from the crowd."
[8.0] "Despite the fairly average match quality up until the main event, this was a flawless episode of TV. Absolutely everything had meaning and they laid so much groundwork for the coming weeks. The opening angle with Joe and Punk to set up their All In match was clever and seemed to genuinely surprise the crowd so a big success there. The undercard matches all advanced their stories and I thought the whole transition from the Jay White match through the promos and into the six man match was very well booked and produced. The Starks angle was great as well as they played on his suspension and full blown heel turn and managed to morph it into a nice squash so Big Bill got some free heat too. Toni Storm is soooo much better on Collision on her own and her promos are really good recently. AEW's womens division has sucked forever but they're building the little bloc on Collision rather well. Enjoying the Hobbs build towards Miro too. And of course the main event was a great match in its own right but also progressed its story. So all in all a very good episode of TV to build All In and the future weeks."
[7.0] "Okay episode of collision with an absolute banger of a match, a decent match and the other matches were okay at best. Started off good with the announcement of CM Punk vs Samoa Joe at All In was surprising but looking forward to it. The promo from BC Gold was good as well as they look to All In. The vignette from House Of Black was not only chilling but actually good watching. Dalton Castle vs Jay White: Good match to start Collision, with Dalton Castle putting up a good fight against Jay White, and Jay White showing why he will one day be a world champion in AEW [***1/2]. Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn & Juice Robinson vs Boulder, Bronson & Jacked Jameson: This was an uninteresting match to be honest, the wrestling was not that good and there's nothing else to say to be honest [*]. Big Bill vs Derek Neal: Pointless squash match that only served the purpose of getting Big Bill on the show as well as Ricky Starks as Bill's manager while he is suspended from competition [DUD]. Diamante vs Willow Nightingale: This match for the most part was okay, but Mercedes Martinez interfering was not good, but Willow Nightingale was good [**1/2]. Powerhouse Hobbs vs Kevin Ku: An okay squash match that showed how strong Hobbs really is [*]. Christian Cage vs Darby Allin: An absolute classic, what a main event of collision, both men went at it, gave it all they had and more, can't believe that Christian Cage can still put up classic matches at his age at nearly 50, couldn't have asked for a better match for the main event [****3/4]"
[6.0] "Simultaneously better than last week, but also a mixed bag overall. The opening angle had the sails took out of it a little bit bc of lackluster execution, so it wasn't as hot as it should have been. The show was flooded with promos once again (some better than others. I really enjoy Toni Storm's and Ricky Starks' characters especially) and squash matches. Fortunately I don't think the matches suffered AS much because of this, but this show should not be Monday Night RAW Lite. The main event was GREAT and really saved the show overall for me. This episode was a small step in the right direction in terms of match quality and booking, but there are still other creative issues that led to another iffy episode. (Also, Kevin Kelly really killed the vibes. He does not have the same spark he has in NJPW)"
[7.0] "a good mix of an Saturday Night aew Collision, i just couldnt see the hype for tonight show besides Bullet club gold & Christian Cage vs Darby allin rest of the show looked like a filler, i dont understand the majority of the short matches since there is no pscyhology behind them, a decent show and watchable, that is what counts."
[9.0] "That is two weeks in a row that people seems to don't like Collision and personally I don't know why. Collision is an extremely well paced show, a perfect mix of in ring action, promo and storyline advancement. Bullet Club Gold and Ricky Starks were awesome as usual since the debut of Collion. I was really glad to see Dalton Castle, the women match and the Miro- Hobbs segment were both good. The main event was awesome, I love Christian "title run", his promo work is great but he still can go in the ring. As for Darby, he never has a bad match and he is so great at selling."
AEW Collision #10 - Fight For The Fallen 2023, 8 sehr starke Punkte.
[8.0] "Another lukewarm-ly received Collision and Im not entirely sure why. I do get that it feels like we are cramming build for All In, but Im glad that the effort is being put in. While there were plenty of pretapes and video packages, most of them were not insubstantial. Also, this week seemed very intent on working with what they had. I personally really enjoyed the focus on BC gold, it made the upcoming trios match at Wembley feel more important. Not to mention, gave screen time to the much deserved Dalton Castle, who Id love to see more of on AEW TV, and Iron Savages, who while Im not completely sold on, I appreciate the swing and they were fun enough. I thought the opening sequence was electric, as well. Not to mention, the main event was quite simply fantastic. I thought this was another great edition of Collision and while it may be a step down from the stellar first few weeks, continues to prove itself as a consistently solid weekly wrestling show."
[7.0] "Good show here for advancing storylines and setting up All In and All Out. The matches were all either fine or pretty good, they served their purpose for furthering angles. While it wasnt as good as some of the past episodes, it was more of a cool down week as they prepare to travel to the UK. With that in mind this show was fine and did what it set out to do."
[7.0] "The story progression and character development was once again great. The matches were a mix of good (main event, Jay White), OK but nothing remarkable (Willow), or what the hell was the point (everything else). THe length of the two Bullet Club Gold matches was baffling if their opponents aren't going to be featured more on AEW going forward, which I have no reason to believe they are. Don't get me wrong, I like Dalton Castle and think he SHOULD be in that midcard mix in AEW, but why is a guy like Jay White going 12 minutes with an ROH talent? But alas it was still quite an enjoyable match. And Juice and the Gunns going nearly 10 minutes with the Iron Savages? Those are strictly Dark/ROH talents, Juice is about to be in a big trios match at All In and the Gunns are former AEW tag champs, this should have never lasted more than five minutes. Just didn't make any sense to not having BCG booked to look like monsters when they are starting a program with the Elite."
[6.0] "Solid episode, used for the build of the upcoming PPVs, which is plausible. The matches weren't (mostly) bad; White vs Castle was a good opener; BCG vs Iron Savages was nice; Willow vs Diamante was really good; and the Main Event was awesome. On the other hand, two squash matches felt like too much. The promos weren't bad either, Jay White post match promo was really good, and Ricky Starks role got me excited, he's good at everything he does."
[5.0] "The high points here were probably the videos they put together, especially the Starks one. His character lends itself well to that kind of stylish video and this is not the first time one of those videos has been the highlight of an episode. The main event was also probably better than it felt for me at the time, but even going 20 minutes at the end of this episode made it feel long. It's one of those matches which will probably look better in isolation. Punk can apparently beat Joe in about 20 seconds now so who cares about their Wembley match. Lots of jobbers on this episode. Collision still doesn't have the wrestling/entertainment balance right, in my opinion. AEW seems to often suck right before a PPV and then heat up maybe a few weeks after it. Let's hope their mostly good track record with PPVs leads to another good one at Wembley. A poor build up to such a large show and then a subpar show on top of that could do major damage to the company's reputation and harm any chance of something that large ever occuring for them again."
[7.0] "This was a good episode. We open with a match I didn't realize that I needed in my life, but totally did. Jay White took on Dalton Castle in a match that was as good as I thought it would be. I only wish that I had seen this before Dalton ruined his back. We then got the rest of Bullet Club Gold taking on the Iron Savages. This was fun and I'm liking the Iron Savages' new gimmick. We then get Big Bill squashing a jobber. It's really just an excuse to get Ricky Starks on the show, and it kinda works. We go into Willow Nightingale vs Diamonte, next. It's good although the ending is never in doubt. We get another squash next, this time featuring Powerhouse Hobbs. I don't think this show benefited from having two squashes on it, although it was nice to see Kevin Ku get on TV. The main event, however, is the real high point of the episode. What is ostensibly a match between Christian Cage and Darby Allin rapidly turns into a handicap match, as Luchasaurus gets involved. This is an excellent match."
[5.0] "One of the worst opening segments in AEW history. But also a very good main I didnt anticipate being as good as it was. Post match stuff for that was meh though. Additionally I do like the amount of BCG on the show but the Iron Savages match felt too long and despite everything on the show feeling mostly okay but the crowd is still not really there for a lot of the stars. Enjoyable at parts but man this had rough parts throughout."
[5.0] "In my opinion back to back weeks of a lackluster show, Collision started off very hot putting out great episodes as of recent weeks it been very flat hopefully it picks up soon but it was great to see former ROH World Champion Dalton Castle on AEW he's very entertaining and I hope he gets used a lot on Collision. BCG is one of the most entertaining acts in wrestling currently with LA Knight they are amazing everyone in the group has amazing chemistry and the Gunn Brothers are growing on me they are pretty solid. Squash Match w/ Big Bill I didn't care but Ricky Starks being his manager was cool, afterwards he started walking the guy with his belt. Willow getting the win against Diamante was good I love Willow she's one of my favorite women wrestlers out and I hope they can insert her into the Women's World Championship scene I rather have here over Britt Baker in the Women's Championship Match at ALL IN: London. Powerhouse Hobbs wins and then announced is Powerhouse Hobbs vs Miro for ALL OUT: Chicago I expect those two to tear it down. The main event we had Darby Allin beat Christian, I'm not lying when I say Darby Allin is one of the best people in AEW that man can never have a bad match he's one of the best in AEW today!"
[9.0] "Very good show, incredible segment from Malakai, same for the video of Rush in Mexico which will lead to some really interesting things, Jay White who shines, original Opening with CM Punk and Samoa Joe, and of course a very good main event with Cage and Allin who respected those 20 minutes of match as they should, very much looking forward to the 8 all star tag next week."
[6.0] "This was not a good show: Punk and Joe was cool despite being too short. White vs. Castle was alright with a post-match promo by Bullet Club Gold. Iron Savages vs. Bullet Club Gold was alright as well but the crowd was not very into it. Diamante vs. Willow wasn't very good but not bad either. Ricky Starks/Big Bill stuff was okay but Starks' video package was gold. Also HOB promo was great. Hobbs and Miro's stuff was weird, didn't like it. Allin vs. Christian Cage was a very good match, didn't need to go 20 minutes but still super enjoyable with a great closing stretch. Christian is one my favorite things in Aew and Darby is always great. Overall: I feel like after Dynamite 200, Aew failed to deliver any good show, except for a couple of Rampages which is supposed to be the third show in the company. Dynamite hasn't been very good and Collision either, hope they can get back on track next week."
So schlecht ausgeführt."
[4.0] "Lots of fun moments on this week's show (Toni Storm's ongoing breakdown, Iron Savages eating ass, Bang Bang Gang, Dalton Castle doing his thing) but it was all very messily put together and the sum far underformed the parts. Also, good lord I don't want Kevin Kelly back, please take me down to the Riccabone-zone"
Ricky Starks in Videos.
[8.0] "Thought it was a pretty good show. Christian is really killing it right now and I thought he and Darby tore it up. Bullet Club Gold was heavily featured and they always deliver. Shout out to Iron Savages as well, making the most of their time and the new gym bro schtick is fun. One of the first Collisions where Punkerman wasn't the main event, which is nice, gotta switch it up. I hope the real Grand Vampire can get his gear back. The cost of gold spandex has skyrocketed recently and it's just, ya know, just downright rude that a guy with Scrooge McDuck type money would go and steal another mans gear and is this 500 yet for cripes sake?"
[7.0] "I guess I'm the outlier here, because I have no idea why people are down on this show. I don't think there is anything wrong with matches that have a predictable result on your weekly show. They are trying to build up certain people, and I think it's working - look how much better Bullet Club Gold are now than any of them were when they debuted. This was a show that focused a lot on character work and establishing some new personalities on the roster (Dalton Castle, Iron Savages, LFI's vignette, and Big Bill aligning himself with Starks all being notable examples). They aren't game changing moves, but considering the Collision roster has felt a bit thin I think these are all good additions to the show. Everybody in the first hour showed a lot of personality - the BCG interaction with The Boys and the Iron Savages over the top gimmick were both highlights for me. I really liked the Starks vignette as well. The opener was a really good TV match and an impressive showing for Dalton, and the main event was very good, too. There was a bit of a lull prior to the main event (the women's match wasn't very interesting), but nothing that I thought ruined the show. Personally I prefer it when wrestling shows are paced this way instead of everything being 100 miles an hour with no room to breath and it all reaching the point of diminishing returns."
"CM Punk versus Samoa Joe being announced for ALL IN was the main takeaway for me when it came to Collision. Truly not the show were use to watching on Saturday nights, hopefully Fyter Fest will be a good go-home show before the big event next Sunday."
[5.0] "Were it not for the main event, I would've given this filler show a far harsher score. This was a night of nothing-burger enhancement matches, some of them more entertaining then others, but there were just too many and not enough actual great wrestling. Show starts off with Punk giving Joe an absolutely laughable looking GTS. Bullet Club Gold is carrying this show on their backs right now, they are so entertaining in all respects that were they not on the show I would stop watching. Hobbs and Miro went from pointless squash matches or just being absent completely - despite the fact that there was PLENTY of filler that could've been cut to give them some shine over the past two months - to building a lackluster feud based on very little actual interaction. Miro's segment was good, but why am I supposed to care about this? Which of these men can afford a loss? Neither of them. The HOB stuff was whatever. The Rush mini-movie was pretty great though. The FTR appearance was an unsurprisingly pre-taped hype package, and I'll be surprised if they let them appear live until All In. The main event was far above the rest of the card tonight in ring action."
[5.0] "By about three quarters into the show, I was really ready to give this one a low rating in being largely a nothing show to fill television time. The show at times felt very reminiscent of AEW Dark particularly after the Jay White match and prior to the main event. It doesnt help when so much of the show has no real bearing on All In and what they decided to largely fill the tv time with was not very exciting. Darby and Christian did at least deliver an enjoyable main event while Jay and Dalton was solid. Nothing special overall as a show though."
