[6.0] "A rewarding enough episode of Rampage that added some flavor to WrestleDream matches and built toward Saraya's next defense. If you don't have time for the whole episode, the Shida/Soho match is the one you'd want to prioritize. Then make sure you catch the promo from Zach Sabre Jr and the hype package for Santana/Ortiz (which looks like it'll continue on a timeline separate from WrestleDream). It's a small thing, but I'm enjoying the way they've presented the Righteous so far. If they can get lucky with the right match/crowd and then hit a bullseye on a few vignettes, I think they could get over. Dutch's sidewalk slam is a thing of absolute beauty."

[6.0] "Very solid show: Acclaimed vs. Hardys and Brother Zay was decent. I think the Acclaimed are kinda being dragged down by Billy Gunn's presence, I mean he can still go for his age but in general every Acclaimed's match, as of late, never stands out. Kingston vs. Romero was a solid first title defense for Eddie, in preparation for his big match against Shibata at WrestleDream. Shida vs. Soho was really good, one of Ruby's best perfomances and Shida is the best wrestler of the women's division, based on pure in-ring skill. Overall: it was an enjoyable of wrestling but totally skippable, except for the main event."

[6.0] "This was a solid, but unspectacular episode. We opened with the acclaimed and Daddy Ass defending their Trios Titles against The Hardys and Brother Zay in a decent match. It was probably the best the Hardys have Looked since Jeff returned, probably because Zay could carry them on the athletic side of things. We then saw Eddie Kingston defend his NJPW Strong Openweight Title against Rocky Romero. This was a pretty good match, but didn't need to be on AEW Television. It probably would have done better on Strong, where people are more invested in Romero. The Righteous then defeated a pair of jobbers, Caleb Crush and Gunnar, in around a minute. I'm finally starting to get the Righteous, so this match seems to have worked. Finally, in the Match of the Night, Hikaru Shida took on Ruby Soho for the number 1 contendership to the Women's Title. This was a fun match, but I expected more from these two, especially since neither of them are on the PPV, so they have no reason to hold back."

I do think the Acclaimed need something more interesting to do and had expected them to make more of Billy Gunn's short retirement and return to perhaps set them back up a tag-team when Gunn does retire for real. I guess BCG is busy right now and they'd be the natural foils in that story."

The Acclaimed are wearing thin, Eddie has another serviceable but unimpressive defense, don't care about the Righteous even though I recognize they're getting a push, and the ladies match bored me until the end. For a Rampage it was solid, but entirely skippable."

[7.0] "Good episode of Rampage, nothing special, but the show should be more like this in general. Moved storylines along well, provided two good TV matches in Soho vs Shida and Kingston vs Romero. More of this and less of no name jobber squash matches, one per show is all you need."

[5.0] "Very skippable show. It's a bad sign when the most entertaining match is a 90 second squash, but fair play to The Righteous - they've worked their act out well enough that they really know how to stand out, and Dutch's explosive power moves look awesome. The opening match is decent but nothing special, the outcome was obvious from the start and I found the extended Gunn-Hardy taunt-off irritating. Gunn's likability is just generally strained by having him wrestle as often as AEW do, given his in-ring limitations. I will say that I liked his goofy, over-the-top delayed sell after hitting the turnbuckle, and it was nice to see Isiah get some real TV time to flex some character work. Kingston-Romero was a dull, bad match; technically proficient but utterly uninspired. The main event was OK but the finish was bizarrely convoluted and overbooked. I get the need to protect top names in the division, especially when AEW is unwilling to give them any real time to rebuild momentum after losses, but nobody looked good with this WCW-ass finish."

[7.0] "I thought this was about as good an episode of Rampage as you can get and its a very nice way to spend an hour on Saturday morning. Three good matches that do not overstay their welcome and promos that move along programmes and build to the future. No reason why Rampage can not be like this every week."
