Schönes Three Way Match mti den richtigen Siegern für mich. |
| 16 | 24.09.2023 | Michael Morbius | 7.0 | Some ups and dows but overall the show was fun: Cassidy vs. Fox was a great opener and Moxley's attack on Cassidy in the post-match was great and it will probably lead the two to clash for the International title. I'm loving Callis/Jericho storyline and the backstage segment between Jericho and the other members of the J.a.s. was great. Also two great promos by Mjf & Adam Cole and Ftr to hype their match on Collision. Pac vs. Gravity was alright. Strickland vs. Allin was the best match of night, both men have great chemistry with each other and there were lots of wild spots. Ar Fox joining the Mogul Embassy in the post-match was very cool. Baker vs. Valkyrie was the reflection of the women's division: bad, senseless and pointless. "Book the Women's Divison Better", that's what a sign in the crowd said and I couldn't agree more. BCC vs. Lucha Bros vs. Best Friends was too messy but overall enjoyable, unfortunately the crowd was dead and that hurt the match. |

| 32 | 01.08.2023 | exzachly | 6.0 | Pretty fun dynamite with three good matches. Not the most story driven show, but still entertaining and an easy watch. Match #1: Fox v. Cassidy (***1/2) Cassidy continues to be one of the most consistent wrestlers in terms of pure match quality and AR Fox has always been impressive and its so important with these matches that each one feels like a true struggle for OC. The post match segment with Fox shoving OC was a nice little teaser for what was to come later in the night. Jack Perry dropped another pretty good promo about the FTW title that was interrupted by Jerry Lynn of all people. I get he is an ECW alum but when I hear ECW my head doesnt automatically go to Jerry Lynn and I dont think JL is currently managing anyone rn, so Im not sure where this angle is headed. Britt Baker had a short backstage interview and was edging the line between face and heel, then dropped a little line about how she is the face of TBS maybe hinting at a future match with Statlander. Match #2: Gravity v. PAC (**3/4) Similar to Gravitys match at DBD, just a good showcase for Gravity while making PAC look strong. Of course AEW referenced PACs old WWE nickname of the man that gravity forgot, so that was pretty funny and was really the only build this match needed. Match #3: Darby v. Swerve (***3/4) Damn these two just make magic together. Ive seen one of their matches in DEFY and then the last one they had on Dynamite, so I had high hopes again for this one and was not disappointed. Plus the ending sequence of Fox joining the Mogul Embassy was badass. I am glad to see AR Fox get something to sink his teeth into on national tv and Swerve continues to be on fire as one of AEWs top guys. Match #4: Baker v. Valkyrie (**1/4) This match started a little slow with the two seeming a bit out of rhythm but when they came back from commercial and recollected following the messy Road to Valhalla spot, it actually picked up pretty well with Taya showing a lot of fire. Tbh I would have liked to have seen her pick up the win against Britt. The womens division is in need of some reshuffling however as this just felt like a random match rather than a semi-main event between two of AEWs top females. Match #5: BCC v. Best Friends v. Lucha Bros (***1/4) Three teams with three separate grudges with the other, all with a lot of history amongst themselves. This started as a wild brawl and ended in just about the same way. Really fun and explosive main event that AEW does well. Glad to see Trent and Chuck in the main event and glad to see Penta and Fenix get the win. Even with the loss though, Mox and Claudio seemed like the main focus of the match. |

| 34 | 01.08.2023 | TrueCritic42 | 4.0 | It was mid, best match was probably the Darby match, Britt vs Taya was a sloppy botchfest. This was really disappointing compared to blood and guts. Not sure if Britt and Taya were just having an off day or it is because Britt is injured. They really need to take some more time to develop matches, idk what is going on for the PPV, they really need to start making some feuds. |
| 35 | 01.08.2023 | MaveDeltzer | 5.0 | Maybe this was a bit of a placeholder episode, judging from the "Blood and Guts" backdrop behind several pre-recorded promos, but you have wonder why that's happening just one month away from Wembley Stadium. There was some good stuff in this. Cassidy vs Fox was quite good until a muddy ending, and Darby vs Swerve showed the strengths of each of those guys with crazy bumps and nice-looking strikes. The other part I liked is that some of the stories had developments over the episode and that's something I always like and find gives an episode more identity. Things started to suck a lot more as it got closer to the end, with the last two matches in particular really giving this episode a flat ending. Pac vs Gravity also seemed to be booked more as a joke, which seems at odds with Pac's character direction right now. I'm sure Jericho got a kick out of having his own Manowar album cover made in his image. Baker vs Taya was bad. More TV time and stories will not fix the problems that match had. That match, like the awful Baker vs Big Swole 'Tooth and Nail' match getting bumped up to PPV from the preshow, was there to placate the fans who want to see wrestlers just because they're women, as though it's an absolutely necessary requirement and it's morally wrong to not feature a women's match. Modern marketing all over. This is what you get. Good wrestling has to come first. If you want to see more of Hayter, Storm, Athena, and so on, I understand, but the division as a whole doesn't benefit from getting more TV time first and foremost. It needs better wrestlers who can better justify the time spent. With that said, I've seen worse and both Baker and Taya have done better. |

| 40 | 31.07.2023 | jay12ka4 | 7.0 | This episode had solid in-ring action except the Britt and Taya match. If you're a fan of good in-ring work, then this is your episode. I know this episode was rated much lower 'cause of the sign thingy. It's actually really funny 'cause it took 4 years for AEW fans to realise that the women's division's booking was drizzling s*its. There are still people in this very ratings comment section defending the match. I'm glad that the problem got pointed out, but it's not going to make a difference if Tony doesn't start writing feuds and storylines for the women. We can all hope. That's the least we can do atleast. |

| 57 | 29.07.2023 | Burning Back Fist | 6.0 | A six because I feel like this was a soft reset after blood & guts but wasn't exactly capitalized in the best of ways. No expansion on all stories that could have blossomed from last week and felt like a lot of filler matches. Not lower then a six because I'm not saying any of the filler matches were bad but I'm tired of AEW just being good matches some weeks with little to no story progression and then other weeks being stellar story progress and filler matches you know? Kota & Kenny, Kenny & Hangman, PAC & Claudio, Don & Takeashita, none of these stories continued. Was nice to see MJF & Cole preparing for collision but a brawl after the main event and a women's match with no story or direction isn't enough for me to rate this higher then a six. I am excited to see what the future holds for Fox & Swerve + Darby & Orange but who knows if this story will be continued next week or brought back into the light in a couple weeks. Its hard to tell and makes it harder for me to invest in feuds. |

| 63 | 28.07.2023 | lovallis | 6.0 | The first 70-80 minutes of this show is real fun stuff. What comes after, not so much. On one hand, you had some really fun matches. On the other, with ALL IN just around the corner, and with AEW's biggest feud of the year ending just last week? This show did not come off must-see or hot. If you judge it on its own? Probably a 7. If you're adding the context of last weeks episode and where we SHOULD be? 6. |

| 83 | 27.07.2023 | crs285 | 10.0 | Was my first time live at an AEW show and I thought it was a great show. Orange Cassidy vs AR Fox was great and the crowd was hot especially for Fox. PAC vs Gravity was good as well. Swerve v Darby was another great match with a predictable finish. The women's match just seemed to lack chemistry. Main event was great in my opinion. In terms of promo, I thought Perry did a little better than usual and Jerry Lynn was good on the mic. MJF had a great promo going after FTR and FTR reply was also good. The Jericho/Callis interactions were also interesting. Maybe I will look back and realize I am over hyping it because I was there and was really enjoying the show but I thought it was amazing. |

| 85 | 27.07.2023 | RavenCrow75 | 6.0 | Good show overall. Started out with a bang and settled into a good showing. If Baker was not 100% then maybe instead of booking it as a dark match they should have had the Skye Blue vs Anna Jay match on TV. |

| 87 | 27.07.2023 | mangled | 4.0 | A lackluster start with an Orange Cassidy match which ended with a poorly executed heel turn from AR Fox. Then, Moxley attacked Orange Cassidy for no logical reason. I know what happened on Death Before Dishonor, but that segment didn't make sense either. I appreciate Jack Perry for leaving his comfort zone, but he's not a good promo. The segment he had with Jerry Lynn was awkward, but it'll probably lead to some ECW legend returning, which might be good. PAC vs Gravity was a meme match. The segment with Adam Cole and MJF was the best part of the show, MJF burying FTR Bald made my day. Week after week, MJF continues to prove he is the biggest asset in AEW's arsenal. Swerve vs Darby was OK with some crazy spots. Britt Baker vs Taya Valkyrie was an absolute disaster. It felt like it lasted 30 minutes, they had no chemistry and they botched a lot. I'm sure both Britt and Taya will want to forget about this match. Three-way tag matches usually suck, and the hard to follow main event clusterfuck between BCC, Lucha Bros and Best Friends was no exception. On an unrelated note, even though I'm not a big fan of them, I have to admit that AEW doesn't feel like AEW without The Elite. It will be interesting to see how AEW will fare if the speculations about them not renewing their contracts are true. |

The Elite / Ibushi won B&G but were off the show, BCC lost in horrific fashion and were here like nothing happened already starting more feuds having learned or changed in no perceivable way whatsoever and barely commenting on it at all. Britt Baker tanked another match, but she's still the only woman allowed to be on TV any meaningful amount. AR Fox, who has been on TV exclusively as a dude who loses matches was suddenly and inexplicably catapulted into main event status and made a heel turn for what can only be described as "because"... Ugh. |

The PPV after that, All Out, already has a match on the card BTW. What are we doing here? Where are we going? It can't just be about putting cool wrestlers in the same ring. PAC and Gravity are both cool wrestlers, but that match was a thud. BB DMD doesn't even need to be discussed. I know folks are still on the OC train, but it's the same match every time to my eyes. I've kinda faded in and out of AEW since following pro wrestling again. Last week's Blood and Guts was a must watch and got me charged for the promotion again. But then I remembered all this stuff. All this easily solvable stuff that TK doesn't want to solve. Just a big ole shrug of a show. |
