[8.0] "I think this is the definition of a one match show, the rest of the card felt like a "Road To" show, but the main event was great"

[6.0] "Tomoaki Honma VS Ryohei Oiwa: Nice opening match. Since that Honma's accident, I'm really glad he's getting better and wrestling as he used to do. Oiwa also did really good. Satisfactory match. [***]; Ace Austin, Alex Zayne, El Lindaman & Wheeler Yuta VS Robbie Eagles & YOH, Clark Connors & Titan: The final showcase of the newcommers to the tournaments. More of their shows were enjoyable and left really good memories for the future editions of the Super Junior. The match itself really felt more as a house show, despite it was nothing interesting in it. Just adequate. [**]; Six Or Nine VS Francesco Akira & TJP: Really nice match. It's pretty cool to see this new refreshing guys on the scene for the world title. I was not really expecting to be watching this, but Im very glad it happened. Pretty intense match. Satisfactory one. [***]; Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Zack Sabre Jr. VS EVIL & SHO: Without the interference it should have been a good match. Zack was really intense and the interaction with Evil were great. Overall match was solid, despite the awful beggining. Adequate match. [**]; Bad Luck Fale, Chase Owens & El Phantasmo VS Aaron Henare, Great-O-Khan & Jeff Cobb: Maybe this could be the best filler match of the evening. Really nice interactions between both teams, and it seems that we have a new member of the Bullec Club. Really nice to see that. ELP being one of my favorites of the match. [***1/2]; DOUKI, Taichi & TAKA Michinoku VS BUSHI, Shingo Takagi & Tetsuya Naito: Another really good. LIJ always bring the best action for this kind of shows, always making different and fast-packed matches. I really liked it. The interactions between Shingo, Naito and Suzuki-gun were great. [***3/4]; Kazuchika Okada & Toru Yano, Jado & Tama Tonga VS Doc Gallows, Gedo, Jay White & Taiji Ishimori: Good to make the preview for the World Title match. It wasn't the most interesting guys included in the match. But at least it achieved it's homework. Nice match. [***]; El Desperado VS Hiromu Takahashi: Good match. These guys always have some interesting things to show, and this match was one of them. The match itself went for being full of tricky moves, to a pretty technichal match, to a hard hitting blow. The thirs part was my favorite, the other two not so much, although they were really trying to do a good job. I neither liked the winner of the tournament, not even that he had the possibility to classifiy until this stage, but well, I understand New Japan's confidnce behind it. As I said, good match. [****]; All the event grade it's just a satisfactory, mainly due to the lack of important matches on the card different from the main event, and a final match that was good, but not the classical I was waiting for. Satisfactory to watch, and to keep watching New Japan Pro Wrestling. [***]"

[7.0] "The undercard was pretty good and zipped along quite quickly which was welcome as everybody was waiting for the main event. The main event was very good but maybe slightly disappointing. It fell short of the 2020 final in my opinion."

[7.0] "Good show. The main event was the match of the night, as expected. I wish Desperado won, cause I feel he deserves that booking more. Good build for Dominion as well. I loved seeing Ace Austin join the Bullet Club as well. 7/10"

[7.0] "A solid show that was built around the main event. There were some post-match angles to set up future storylines but otherwise, everyone was mainly here for the BOSJ final."

[7.0] "This is a huge example of a one match show, with the main event being that one match. None of the matches are bad or unwatchable by any means, they? re just highly skippable compared to the fantastic main event match. If you have some free time I recommend the main event out of all of these matches, there? s some nice stuff outside of the main event as well like the all-Junior tag matches, Ace Austin joining BULLET CLUB, and KENTA returning. A solid show with a great main event."

[7.0] "A night full of very basic tag team matches, although aided by Ace Austin joining Bullet Club, KENTA's return and potentially a new angle for El Phantasmo. The main event was great but it didn't live up to the 2020 heights, and Desperado losing felt like a missed opportunity for a star-making moment."

[6.0] "A bunch of quick, serviceable multi-man matches and some interesting developments (Ace Austin to BULLET CLUB, return of SANADA, etc.) followed by a very strong tournament final. These finals are generally one match shows and that holds, but nothing really dragged either. Booking of the winner was questionable but it's hard to be too upset when Hiromu keeps cranking out bangers. He needs to go to heavyweight soon though. Hiromu for the G1."
