Der Opener war für mich etwas zu unübersichtlich, aber ist im Ring dennoch ebenfalls qualitativ hochwertig. Spektakulär, aber vielleicht etwas unvorsichtig ist auch der Brawl zwischen Matt Hardy und Sammy Guevara, bei dem es so aussah, als habe Guevara den Stuhl rücksichtslos auf Hardy geworfen, der danach Eimer zu bluten scheint. Optisch ist es natürlich beeindruckend, aber generell brauche ich solche Blutbäder eher nicht mehr. Die Zeit dafür ist im Jahr 2020 irgendwie verstrichen. |

Ich mag ja generell ein Fan von solchen Matches und nachdem das beim letzen Mal nicht so ganz gut funktioniert hat ist dieses umso besser. Am Anfang kann die Elite und FTR schön die Oberhand behalten was sich erst ändert als die Order auf unfaire Tricks setzt. Als sich dann Harwood verletzt und aus dem Spiel genommen wird kommt die Order immer besser zu Recht. Der Sieg durch Brodie Lee ist dann auch verdient und die Lariat gegen Page sah echt fies aus. Tolles Match. In einem soliden Tag Team Match schlagen die Friends PnP und die kleine Fehde zwischen den Teams läuft gut weiter. Vor allem mit dem Auto von Trents Mutter war unterhaltsam. MJF im Wahlkampfbüro ist lustig. Cody und Cardona schlagen das B-Team der Order. Hier können Silver und Reynolds zeigen was sie wirklich können, gutes Match von ihrer Seite. Cardona braucht kein Mensch. Langweiliger Charkter. Reba spielt ihre Rolle einfach gut und hat natürlich keine Chance Swole. Auch hier sehr unterhaltsam. Die Debatte zwischen Jericho und Cassidy ist einfach göttlich. Gerade als Cassidy die Klimafakten vorträgt kommt man aus dem Lachen nicht hinaus. Dann gibt es noch einen guten Main Event. Allin wieder im Crashmodus. Der eine Drive nach draußen sah schon sehr brutal aus. Ansonsten passen die beiden einfach wundervoll zusammen und haben ein tolles Match und manchmal, gerade nach dem Eingriff von MJF, sieht es sogar nach der großen Sensation aus. Guter Abschluß der tollen Show. |
| 44 | 12.08.2020 | marexcel | 6.0 | Der Opener bietet für Fans von spotlastiger Action einigen Spaß. Die Chroreographie ist sauber durchgeführt und hat durchaus ein paar vielseitige Momente dabei. Die Storyparts geben dem Ganzen dann etwas Tiefe, auch wenn ich es z. B. einfach schwierig finde, dass Brodie Lee lange an der Ringtreppe hockt, schaut wie Page seine Kollegen abfertigt und dann Dieser Hybrid aus Cue & Story ist nicht mein Fall. In Summe ist das okay. Trents Mom als running gag brauche ich nicht. Moxley hält ja ordentliche Promos, aber das ist für mich auch hier wieder kein Champ-Material, gibt davon unabhängig der kleinen Story mit Darby etwas Tiefe, wovon man auch in Zukunft zehren kann. Amüsanter Kontrast bei den Tag Matches des Tages. EYFBO und BF liefern typische Indy-Action und die Workrate soll die Qualität sichern, während Cardona und Cody dann zeigen, was man so in einer Wrestling-Schule lernt. Letztlich ist das zweite Match dennoch schwächer, da es sich mit Reynolds und Silver nicht so passend zusammenfügt. Nach seiner Promo mit Face-Aspekten vergangene Woche, darf/muss MJF nun Backstage doch wieder als reiner Heel agieren. Bisschen plakativ das Ganze, aber ordentlich. Hardy und Guevara bringen ihre Story voran und das geht dann so mächtig schief. Wie man das im Nachhinein aufarbeitet, finde ich schwach, aber hier in der Show funktioniert das soweit. Im Gegenteil zu Sues Auto. Im Inneren ist eine für AEW verfügbare Kamera. Lahm. Einfach nur lahm. Weiß nicht, warum man da nicht logischer agiert. Nach Monaten entscheidet man sich dann, Cassidy doch etwas Leben zu verpassen. Amüsanter Vortrag über den Klimawandel und auch eine passende Antwort an Jericho. Der spielt überragend mit und so liefern sie einen guten Aufbau für ihr Match. Baker und Swole sind etwas in der Dauerschleife gefangen und sollten mal eine Woche pausieren. Reba soll depp'sch aussehen, aber das ist nicht unterhaltsam. Dass das Main Event so stattfindet, verstehe ich nicht, die Action kann sich aber sehen lassen und liefert das MOTN. Das ist schon ein Stück über TV-Durchschnitt. Der Abschluss obligatorisch wie ordentlich. Solide Ausgabe von Dynamite. |

Der Opener war jedoch gut, wobei ich jetzt auch nicht sagen kann, dass die Dark Order richtig stark dargestellt wurde, wenngleich der Sieg natürlich wichtig war. Dennoch war es größtenteils ein 6 on 4 Handicap Match, weil man FTR geschickt rausgeschrieben hat, um die Dark Order siegen zu lassen, dafür hätten sie aber deutlich dominanter sein müssen imo. Best Friends vs Ortiz und Santana war solide, allerdings für mich mit den falschen Siegern. Ortiz und Santana sind imo wohl die underratedsten bei AEW, klar im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Teams sind sie präsent, aber sie haben bisher fast alles verloren, obwohl sie zu den absolut besten gehören. Cody und Matt Cardona gegen Dark Order war auch ganz gut, Reynold und Silver haben wirklich abgeliefert und am Ende konnte Cardona den Sieg einfahren, netter Aufbau. Scorpio Sky als Challenger gefällt mir. Das Matt Hardy/Sammy Guevara Segment war okay, gut, dass man das wieder aufgreift. Das Segment mit Jericho und OC war ebenfalls okay, Eric Bischoff ist in dieser Rolle gut aufgehoben und Jericho liefert wiedermal eine gute Promo. OC hat man auch gut damit over gebracht und das ganze konnte durchaus nohcmal das Match hypen. Big Swole gegen Reba war eher Lowlight. Dass Britt Reba wählt macht null Sinn, aber schön sie wrestlen zu sehen und man wünscht sich dabei, sie würde aktiver Teil des Rosters sein. An sich aber nicht vertretbar in einer 2 Stunden Show lediglich ein 1 Minuten Squashmatch der Frauen zu bringen, da muss endlich mal mehr kommen, auch wenn man immerhin hiermit auch mal eine Fehde in der Womens Division aufbaut. Moxley gegen Darby Allin war okay. Das haben wir halt alles in dieser Art schon oft genug gesehen und dementsprechend konnte mich das hier nicht allzu sehr begeistern. Moxley verteidigt und geht gegen MJF, was ich auch eher semi optimal finde, die Cage Fehde ist noch nicht auserzählt. |

With Alan Angels (he's been a good find), Brodie, Omega, Grayson all been very impressive, right winners too. Also love that FTR/Page/Omega/Bucks storyline is coming along nicely. I thought the Mox promo and Sammy/Hardy segment were both excellent. Best Friends and Ortiz/Santana match was good, but you can tell they held back a bit for the potential All Out match and the segment with Sue's van was great. Cody/Cardona and Reynolds/Silver was solid, I thought for Cardona's debut that Silver was the star of the match. The debate was excellent, Bischoff did his role well and OC and Jericho knocked it out of the park, hearing OC speak for the first time will go down as one of Dynamite's greatest moments. Women's segment did what it was supposed to do and that's add more fuel to the fire of Britt's and Swole feud, didn't need to be more then 5 minutes. The Main event was excellent, Darby and Mox have great chemistry together and this was a step up from their last Dynamite match cause of the storytelling. Also nice to get the MJF/Mox feud started. Also big improvement on the commentary too, Excalibur is still a big miss though. |

No entrances, no introductions, just straight to the action. Match was also really good for being a 6 on 6. The Dark Order finally looked strong, while The Elite/FTR didn't get weakened by the smart booking. I love the way AEW slowly tells their stories with small nuances. Moxley promo and Best Friends vs. Santana & Ortiz were both fine. The feud between the latter goes into the next round. The MJF bit was good and set up his intervention in the main event, which was good booking. Matt Hardy bores me a bit currently. At least he will lay down for Sammy. After that, I would give him mostly the role as a mentor/manager for Private Party and cut down on the wrestling. He could also be more involved backstage, where he can help making the product better with his creativity. I think these roles suit him best in this stage of his career. Matt Cardona gives me nothing. I don't mind Cody and I really liked most of his matches in AEW, but I hope this was the last time we see this pairing as a Tag Team. Match was alright, which was only because of Reynolds & Silver, who looked like the way better wrestlers and Tag Team here. The whole story Cody gets isolated and does the hot tag to Cardona didn't work at all though. Sky vs. Cody next week could be really good. The debate was funny. Just Jericho being Jericho here and OC surprised with a very serious promo. Swole taking on Reba was there to push the feud between her and Britt. Moxley vs. Darby was Moxleys strongest title defence so far. I like him in those more physical matches, where he can wrestle aggressively and show brutality. Darby is the perfect opponent for that style of match, since he loves to suffer. I hope we get to see this match again on PPV with more time and maybe a stipulation in the future. Overall this Dynamite was a lot of fun with two above average matches and a few lowlights but still and excellent show. |

| 73 | 06.08.2020 | Sebastian V | 9.0 | Das 12 Man Tag Team Match macht bei den Matches den Anfang und da muss ich ehrlich sagen, dass es mich gerade im Vergleich zum Multi Man Match der vergangenen Woche, woraus dieses hier resultiert ist, wirklich positiv überrascht hat. Es gab gute Multi Man Spots aber auch kleine Geschichten und Dynamiken im Match und nonstop Action. Das war deswegen auch gleich mal mein MOTN. Best Friends gegen Inner Circe war dann ein etwas härter angehauchtes, mehr als anständiges Spotfest, bevor dann im Match darauf sowohl der Debütierende Matt Cardona als auch die ehemaligen Beaver Boys ein gutes Showing in einem anständigen Aufeinandertreffen bekamen. Big Swole gegen Reba war dann ein Storymatch, welches aber durchaus sinnvoll war. Ich bin gespannt wie sich die Spannung von Reba und Britt Baker weiterentwickeln. Das ME war dann knapp das zweit beste Match des Abends. Ein intensives und hartes Match, bei dem beide ein gutes Characterwork zeigten. Auch wenn das wrestlerische schon lobenswert war, waren die größeren Highlights für mich außerhalb des Rings. Das Segment mit Jericho und Orange Cassidy, welches von Eric Bischoff moderiert wurde ( was schon mal eine große Überraschung war) war wirklich richtig gut, weil nicht nur jeder in seiner Rolle gut war sondern auch die Mehrdimensionalität des Charakters von Cassidy sehr gut gezeigt wurde. Auch das Segment von MJF und seinem ""Wahlkampfteam" war richtig unterhaltsam und MJF geradezu auf den Leib geschneidert. Dazu kam dann noch eine wirklich starke Promo von Moxley. Insgesamt war das die beste Dynamite Ausgabe seit längerem und wahrscheinlich sogar eine der besten überhaupt. In meinen Augen wirklich eine sehr gute Episode, welche 9 Punkte verdient. |

The opener was incredible and probably the match of the night - just breathless, fast-paced action but constructed in a way that still maintained logical storytelling. A really good example of how the two elements can be be blended, and everybody looked great coming out of this. Moxley's promo to build the main event was fantastic as well. Best Friends vs PnP was fine - nothing special but the two teams are both extremely competent, and the resulting story about the minivan is a lot of fun. Cardona's debut was a bit of a mess - this match, even at just 11 minutes, was far too long and far too competitive, with Cody looking like a fool for getting so dominated by two of the lowliest members of the AEW roster. Cardona's eventual hot tag was decent but this match sapped the life out of the show. The debate segment was good - having OC finally speak is another step in the slow erosion of what makes him special but it was undeniably funny, and this was a very entertaining segment, if predictable. Swole vs Reba was perfectly logical but arguably did Swole no favours in taking most of the offence, even if it was a squash win for her. A good segment but dedicating 90 seconds of airtime to the women's division in a two hours programme is a continuing problem. The main event was very strong - I could have done without the interference but this told a good story and the two put on the bruising affair expected of them. This show sagged a little in the middle but was bookended by two very good matches and was peppered with good storytelling throughout. |

Eric Bischoff was the surprise of the night, just until Orange Cassidy informed about global warming for the biggest LOL segment of the year. Jericho's reaction was brilliant as well, great showing for everyone involved (including Bischoff). The opener was a good match with lots of action, but what I liked most about it was the focus on all the different little storylines involved. AEW continues to do a good job building their stories slowly to give them a bigger meaning. Best Friends versus Ortiz/Santana was also a good match and I like that it was used to give O& S a new edge following the loss. Can't wait for them to align with Eddie Kingston. Matt Hardy had a decent promo, even if the lack of a real crowd really hurt his character throughout the run. The chairshot by Sammy Guevara was brutal, Matt seemed to be busted open he hard way. Reynolds and Silver really impressed in their match. Even if it was meant to be a showcase for Cardona, the match also showcased R& S as underrated -- probably due to their size. Silver looked tiny against Cardona. The main event was the match of the night, I really enjoyed it. Probably the best match Moxley was involved in since facing Mr. Brodie Lee, which was almost three months ago. Darby continues to be a danger to anyone in the ring, but the story of the match was played out well and Moxley gave everything meaning with his demeanor. By the way, this episode had lots and lots of blood. Also, just to beat a dead horse at this point, I am getting sick and tired of Jim Ross. Hopefully Excalibur returns next week. |

Swole und Britt Baker bei All Out hinzuarbeiten. Die Segmente waren eigentlich wie immer unterhaltsam. Die Super Wednesday Debate 2020 war stark und hatte mehrere Highlights. Zum einen der gelungene Auftritt von Eric Bischoff, der in der Rolle des Moderators sehr gut in das Segment gepasst hat und zum anderen konnte Orange Cassidy hier glänzen. Insbesondere seine Antwort auf Frage 3 zur Klimaerwärmung und seine Aussage zur letzten Frage haben überzeugen können. Zwischen den Best Friends und Proud N' Powerful baut man eine Fehde auf, die sogleich mit mehreren Segmenten persönlich wird. MJFs Wahlkampfbüro hat gepasst. Matt Hardy und Sammy Guevara sind aneinandergeraten und auch hier vertieft sich die Fehde. Man hatte durch die Show weg einen roten Faden und hat den Main Event aufgebaut. Insgesamt war es eine überzeugende Ausgabe. Definitiv wieder deutlich besser als die Ausgabe der letzten Woche. |

Dass Hangman kurzzeitig verschwindet, um dann am Ende dich den Pin einzustecken birgt genug Storypotenzial für die nächsten Wochen. Zudem ist es halt logisch, dass die Dark Order gewinnt, da sie lange Zeit in der Überzahl waren, finde ich immer gut sowas. Best Friends vs. Ortiz & Santana als Match ebenfalls gut und dass man ein wenig Story bringt, um ein weiteres Match aufzubauen gefällt mir ebenfalls. Cody & Matt vs. Dark Order war in Ordnung aber ein relativ unspektakuläre Debut von Cardona. Das Segment mit Hardy und Sammy war auch ganz nett, genau wie der weitere Aufbau von MFJ. Beim Main Event fand ich es sehr angenehm, dass es kein Plunder-Match wurde, sondern ein relativ normales Match, was sehr erfrischend bei Moxley ist. Davon abgesehen brauchte man hier auch keine Gegenstände, das Match war auch so gut. |

The main event was by far my favorite part of the night, however. Darby doing everything he can and Mox trying to hold back so that he doesn't end the kid's career was such a great way to do a face vs face match. It felt like something out a kung-fu movie. And I don't think this is the last time we'll see Darby vs Mox. |

Every promo/segment was entertaining and served some greater purpose than to just exist, with the Jericho/Cassidy debate being a particular standout. I also really liked the recurring segments with Santana & Ortiz and Best Friends. Mox delivered a phenomenal promo early in the show, as well as a great title defense in the mainevent. Everything was good on this show, and the only thing missing was Excalibur. |

Lots of great promos, including from Orange Cassidy, Moxley and Jericho. Other than the lack of a quality women's match, and a meh match involving Cody and Cardona, this show really delivered. 8. 5/10 |

I had my doubts going into the 12 man tag team match because honestly that's too many bodies for my liking my they really nailed it by the help of storytelling with FTR and Hangman leaving for minutes. I had no interest in the debate but it really sold me, was extremely funny and clever. |
